I don't have to talk about the food quality of this place because all Starbucks are the same, so when I look like a franchise like this I look at location and service. The location was perfect, mostly because it is located in a lobby that is right off Snowflake Lane and is the perfect place to wait for the parade out of the cold. This particular Starbucks is a sliver of a location with not many tables, so you're not going to sit there on a busy day and be able to find seating. There's more seating, quite frankly, in that building lobby. So great location, but man, the service was meh. Yes, they were being slammed, but none of the employees looked or acted happy. I understand it being hard when the workload is intimidating and the line is getting crazy, but I've worked a coffee shop all by myself, had to make sandwiches and espresso drinks while the line got larger, and I plastered that smile on my face and acted delighted to see people because I like tips and because sometimes my smile was the only one the customer was getting that day. I don't care if you're not getting paid enough- work is misery when you decide it's misery. It's also an opportunity to make someone's day, so do that. Another thing they can improve- when it's busy you should have the loudest employee calling out names to pick up. The barista never notified us that we were to wait at the end of the counter, assembly-line fashion, on an alphabetized sorting system on the counter , to pick up our orders. We just thought they would call out our names when our order was ready--just as they would at any other local coffee house. So we sat at our table patiently for 15-minutes waiting. Then we realized our food and drinks were on the counter at the other end of the restaurant getting cold all this time. What is the point of pretending to be a customer-centric coffee chain by asking customers their names if you're not going to even use them? My recommendation is for the baristas to call out customer names when the order is ready. Otherwise, stop asking them for their names. Starbucks has become cold and too corporate. I felt like I was just another cog in their assembly line of people just handing over their money to Starbucks. read more

Went here recently with my mom because we were super excited about the holiday drinks coming back. My mom and I mobile ordered a tall blonde caramel brûlée latte with extra topping and I ordered a tall iced sugar cookie oatmilk latte. When we got to the counter, my drink had whipped cream on top and when I pointed out to the barista, Max, that there wasn't supposed to be whip, he insisted saying "I know it doesn't make sense that they'd put whip on a non-dairy drink, but that's how the recipe is." I explained further that I had worked at Starbucks for almost three years and that this drink has always been my holiday go-to; I know it doesn't come with whip. But Max insisted that the recipe called for whipped cream until finally I asked if they had changed the recipe for this year and he agreed. He specifically told me that in the app I can ask for the drink to be made with no whip, putting the fault on me for not doing so. It was only after all that back and forth that Max asked if I wanted the drink remade or if he could just scrape off the whip, but from his tone he made it very clear that he thought I was in the wrong and remaking my drink was the last thing he wanted to do. I settled for him scraping the whip off, but the whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. On my way to my car, I checked the app and the drink is not made with whipped cream so thanks Max for gaslighting me through our entire conversation. Not wanting this same thing to happen to someone else who could potentially have a dairy allergy, I called the store from my car and explained to a woman on the phone what happened but it didn't really seem like she cared. Max also made my mom's caramel brûlée latte terribly. It was sickly sweet and actually made her nauseous. She said it was the worst caramel brûlée latte she's ever had. Max could definitely use some coaching on the LATTE method and how to actually make the holiday drinks because this was the most abysmal experience my mom and I have ever had at a Starbucks. It definitely dampened our holiday cheer and I'm sad my mom was feeling sick for the rest of the day after being so excited to get a caramel brûlée latte to kick off the holidays. For red cup day we went to a Starbies in Redmond and they made both our holiday go-to drinks perfectly so hopefully our experience at the Lodge was a one off. read more

This Starbucks is known as 'The Lodge' and it 100% lives up to the name. The space has a ton of seating and a massive fireplace. Both visits the customer service was prompt and friendly, and we enjoyed our pistachio drinks. Of all the Starbucks in this area, it is definitely the most comfy, although I did really enjoy the monitor listing in process mobile drinks at the M-F location around the corner. Listen, I believe in supporting local businesses!!!! I typically do not frequent chains because of that. BUT sometimes I do crave the familiarity that comes with a chain. My boyfriend and I visited this Starbucks this morning and had an exceptional experience. We were the only two in the store (besides the workers) and the customer service was fantastic. The baristas were personable, friendly, and gave us drink suggestions. It was also spotless inside. We would've loved to sit there and drink our coffees, but I'm sure we will when it is safe to do so again. I came to Starbucks a lot growing up and always ordered a vanilla bean frappuccino -- which, come on now, they're delicious -- or an iced chai. As I got older, whenever I went to Starbucks, I would get a cold brew with sugar-free vanilla and almond milk. I was always disappointed in my cold brew orders. Since I've recently gotten myself interested in hot drinks (something I used to never like), I decided to try my current go-to hot coffee order: an almond milk latte with sugar-free vanilla. It was terrific, and I'm actually still sipping on it as we speak. :-) My boyfriend ordered a pumpkin spice latte (lol) and loved it. Overall, we had a 5/5 experience here. I can't say we plan to frequent Starbucks, because as I mentioned, we would rather support local businesses, but I know we will be back. read more

I have never left a review for Starbucks because it's usually a standard 7/10 experience at most locations. Not this one. The employees were so genuinely kind/positive. I struggled to order because I usually use mobile ordering, but the girl instantly knew what I was trying to say and got hyped about it. The guy made the drink and accidentally made a venti instead of a grande (devastating, I know) and happily let me know then asked if I wanted it remade. Unsurprisingly, I was thrilled to take the venti. They also diligently did their side work when they had minor breaks instead of just standing around. I couldn't read their names because my eyesight is garbage, but it was a young girl and guy - both with glasses. Hey H. Schultz, if you're reading this, these two deserve a raise. I highly recommend stopping by this Starbucks if you need a little serotonin boost, because they made my day. 10/10 read more

Yum! Just dropped by to try one of the new holiday drinks. The barista was was kind enough to help me narrow it down to chestnut praline. Such a delicious drink! Sweet, nutty flavors make for a delicious warm treat when out and about walking. I'm usually a bit wary about Starbucks because sometimes it can be a hit or miss depending on location, but this particular one is consistently delicious! This location is just at the end of the block from where Bellevue square is. The line is no where near as long as the one inside the mall, so I definitely recommend grabbing your drink from here instead! Hence, I am writing this boring Starbucks review for fear that this may take some time. This visit to Starbucks at Bellevue Square was justified by a job search meeting. There are two locations at Bellevue Square, this is the one at the Lodge with views of Bellevue Way and Lincoln Square. Interesting fact is that this location was not always a Starbucks. This used to be Hear Music. Hear Music was an ill advised Starbucks concept that was a combination Starbucks and small music store. And this opened well after the Napster era and CD sales were plummeting. What were they thinking? However if there was anything good to come out of that mess, it was the beautiful store design. By far, the nicest and most sophisticated Starbucks in Bellevue. A lot of seating and there is an area right outside that has elements of a ski lodge. The drinks that I have had here ranged from okay to good. I just had a vanilla rooibos latte ($3.50) today that was perfectly fine. Though I was kind of disappointed it was brewed using a pyramid tea bag. However, what earns this Starbucks four stars is the store interior and central location. It is the perfect meeting place in downtown Bellevue day or night. read more

My favorite hangout to finish my work and to relax with a glass of iced coffee. Areas against the wall have outlets, free wifi, close to Bellevue Square shopping mall and tons of dining options. I noticed that they recently added niche areas with working outlets so that there are more places to plug in your laptops or mobile devices. What can you say...it's Starbucks. It's not like you go to McDonalds and are surprised to find something new and interesting. I mean, their whole concept is for you to go from one Starbucks to another and have the same experience and the same coffee. With that said, this Starbucks is actually pretty nice. It's connected to the shopping mall and right across from PF Changs. As others have said, they never rush you out of there by giving you the stink eye and they actually have several outlets near tables so that you can plug your computer in. Although it can get crowded at times, there's plenty of nice couches right outside the Starbucks, which they call the Lodge. It's also a great place to read, work on your laptop, and enjoy your coffee. The only downside of this place is that the bathroom is kind of far as it's not in Starbucks. read more

Let's take a look at the facts here. They changed their brand because they thought having the word "coffee" in there would make people forget about all the other great things they can get at a Starbuck's, like...uh, CDs. There's a happening media platform of the future. What is it they do that made them decide to take the word "coffee" out of the logo, exactly? They leave out tables and chairs so people can sit down and...drink coffee. To be fair to the employees here, they're a mere half dozen or so among the thousands. And I can't say I consumed or purchased anything during my visit today, I just soaked up the ambiance--that's not coffee!--and helped wait in line for that much-needed mid-afternoon latte. Given how little thought people give to their daily (or multi-daily) Starbucks consumption moments, and how mind-numbingly equivalent one place is to the next, I feel like hanging out here for ten minutes gave me enough of an impression to say that this is a Starbucks like any other. Maybe even more so. Hard to tell. They seemed to have more than coffee. You could tell by the logo, which didn't say "coffee" anywhere on it. read more

This was the worst 1 drink experience at a Starbucks ever. I had 3 people in front of me. The orders started to come out even though they were understaffed. People that were behind me were starting to get their drinks. I was the only one standing where the drinks come out patiently waiting. I finally asked after about 25 minutes, do you know when an order for Myself will be ready? They talked with one another and looked. She said oh it looks like your order got stuck In The cup stickers, I'll make it now. She made my drink and just said here you go. No I'm terribly sorry, the drink is on us or by the way we will give you a coupon for a drink next time for your troubles or your 25 minute wait. I will never ever go there unless I have an hour to kill doing work and want to wait 1/2 of a typical lunch hour to get a drink with very few people there. read more

It's 6:30am on a brisk Bellevue morning. I walk across the street to the nearest Starbucks. As I walk in and get in line I am warmly greeted by both baristas working behind the counter, even though there are at least 5 other people in the room. I order when it's my turn and the barista taking my order, Zoe, compliments my necklace. "That is such a pretty necklace! Going somewhere fancy?" I smile and say "thank you so much! no I have an interview actually". She smiles excitedly and says "oh cool! Well I can tell you will do great. You look great!" This one little comment, one act of genuine kindness took less than 30 seconds but made my whole day and it's barely started. She didn't have to be nice. The two of them were busy. She didn't have to go out of her way to connect. But she did. As I sat down and started to get the items I ordered they both continued to address me by name. I love the location of this Starbucks. Just outside of the cafe is a massive two-story stone fireplace with two sides of comfortable leather seating and flame access to nip the chill (and dry your clothes) that comes with the rain in Seattle. The cafe itself has a small bar for seating with cold brews and nitro drinks served in pilsner glasses for a nice touch. The customer service definitely lacks compared to other locations. There seems to be a high turnover (I have never seen the same barista twice) and there is no sense of direction or brand commitment. More of the "I have to deal with this..." as opposed to "How can I serve you better..." The last visit was rough. Drink orders were backed up and coming out totally out of order. One man got one drink and waited 15 minutes for the other two. The counter had about 15 drinks on it at one time because they turned out so many at once and no one knew which cup was his. Beyond that. It is a Starbucks. I prefer the white mocha and tend to be satisfied. read more

I have been late for work on two separate occasions because I ordered a breakfast sandwich (no drink). Despite being a busy mall location, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a drink. That makes this location great for a quick snack or a warm drink whilst shopping. If I could give a worse review I would. I go to Starbucks(s) every day and I have for the better part of 8 years. I also worked there for a while. As far as customer service goes it is such a joke. I have gotten eye rolls and very rude comments and been talked back to by the employees here on more than one occasion. The funny thing is that I only go to this Starbucks maybe once or twice a year and ALWAYS receive the same crap service, (ACCEPT ONE EMPLOYEE WHO WAS RINGING UP ORDERS NAMED MAEVE! SUPER SWEET GIRL!) Starbucks is the K-Mart of coffee shops in the Puget Sound area. I say this so you know where I am coming from and what I think of Starbucks as a whole. That being said, I will, from time to time and as the situation warrants go to SBUX if it is close and convenient. This past weekend I was staying at the Bellevue Hyatt in Downtown Bellevue. After working out I decided to grab a cup of coffee and read the paper. As I entered the store from the outside I noticed a great ambience outside of this old SBUX Cafe but inside it had the usual Starbucks decor, not disappointing rather expected. After standing in line for 10 minutes as two baristas attempted to work the counter for six people I finally received my (I only order this in a Starbucks as they don't make a 12oz Vanilla Latte correclty) Double Tall Ristretto Vanilla Latte. The milk was scalded, the espresso was not pulled correctly, and their was no consideration to properly stretch the milk. It was a train wreck from the beginning... Currently I am sitting in the SBUX, not drinking my latte, looking for a good coffee shop within 5 miles. I found one on the east side - Urban Coffee Lounge in Kirkland... Save your money while in the NW...go someplace other than Starbucks. read more

Fine for grabbing a coffee to go on your way to the mall, but not a good place to sit, talk, or read. In the center of the seating area are two large community tables that inadvertently seem to make the tables along the perimeter seem cramped. The more private (and more comfy) seats in the alcoves by the entrance don't prove to be any less noisy than the wide open area. Best bet for outlets is to leave and head to the chairs just outside the Starbucks. No complaints about the service--as good as any other Starbucks. read more

My favorite Starbucks when I'm in need of large meeting space, their largest table seats seven. It's spacious and usually not that packed. It's also usually reasonably quiet and a nice place to study. The parking is convenient since you can park in the mall.
