First time here. The owner was working. She recommended the breakfast burrito. It was great! Will certainly come again.

I recently moved to the PNW and was in search of a great café. I'm happy to say THE SEARCH IS…read moreOVER!!!! I've been coming at minimum twice a week for the past 4 weeks, I'm beginning to think I have a problem. The space reminds me of a French café, not that I've been to France but it's what I seen in movies. They have parking in the back, and free WiFi available for customers. They have a very young team of workers, which makes me think the owner is really looking to invest in the community by hiring local high school students. They are all super professional and attentive to the atmosphere and customers. Now to my FAVORITE PART! The food is AMAZING. I can only speak on the one thing I've been ordering but the Caprese sandwich is soooooo good. It comes with chips or a salad and it's the perfect lunch. I've also had their sweet chai latte which is equally as good. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Issaquah area.

Horrible customer service…read more Visited this location twice, and both times the staff forgot to make our pickup order, so we had to wait for them to start preparing it. The second time was especially inconvenient because we made sure to place our order at least half an hour in advance so it would be ready, as we had a doctor's appointment and were in a rush. We also tried to find a phone number to call ahead and make sure our food was ready, but they don't have one. We ended up having to come back later for our order because it wasn't ready. We were already in a rush, and the staff held us up even more and seemed to care more about arguing with us than resolving the issue. When did it become the norm to pay high-end prices for food and be met with such unwelcoming and entitled treatment when the mistake was made on their part?! The only reasonable person who tried to be accommodating was a young blonde lady who showed kindness and grace. The rest of the employees behaved poorly without offering any apologies. We asked them to wait to make the food until we come back so it doesn't sit cold but when we came back, our $80 worth of sandwiches were already cooked, given to us cold and lacked freshness, so we ended up not eating them. The food tasted pretty delicious the first time we tried it, so I give it one star for that and one star for how cute the interior is. But boy, what a bitter taste their handling of a customer after making a mistake left me with! It's something I'll definitely consider whenever I decide whether I want to come back. Some photos I attached are from the first visit

I've been to Regent multiple times at its old Bellevue location, so I was excited to hear they…read morerelocated to Issaquah since it's one of my go-to spots for Asian pastries on the Eastside. I stopped by on a Saturday around 11:45A while waiting for my takeout order at the neighboring Famous Kitchen. While they have a good selection of both savory and sweet options, I tend to gravitate toward the sweet ones... especially the Red Bean and Custard buns. Over the years, I've also tried a couple of their cakes (the Black Forest and the Matcha Mousse), and both were delightful. Here's what I grabbed on my latest visit! + MATCHA MOCHI CREAM BUN: I expected some sort of matcha filling, but the matcha flavor was only in the bread itself. I couldn't really taste the tea, aside from a very subtle bitterness, but I really loved the layer of stretchy mochi and cream inside. The cream was smooth and rich, making this surprisingly indulgent even though it wasn't overly sweet. + RED BEAN BUN: Slightly sweetened red bean paste inside a soft, golden-brown bun... the definition of a classic Asian bakery staple. The amount of filling was generous and it was perfect for an afternoon snack with some tea. + CUSTARD BUN: Marked with a swirl on top, this bun is a must if you're looking for something dessert-like. The custard was creamy and tasted similar to an eggy vanilla pudding. I just wish there was more of it; I could eat it by the spoonful! + COCONUT CREAM BUN: This was only okay. The bun itself was airy and light, covered with coconut shreds, but I just wasn't a fan of the filling. It tasted more like a sugary frosting with a buttercream-like consistency. It looks pretty, but I wouldn't recommend it. With so many different pastries and cakes still left to try, I'll be making my way back again for more. As a perk, they also offer a rewards program!

The area was smaller than expected, but clean with a limited selection of bakeries and lots of cake slices. I was surprised to see how expensive the cakes were, even some of my favorite breads like the coconut cream were closer to $4 each! Unfortunately, given the current economy, I believe this is now the standard cost of dessert breads. I got two breads and one drink! The green tea bun was great- there was a generous amount of filling, and the combo of mochi with cream was very satisfying. The pineapple bun was also delicious, I loved that there was filling inside which kind of reminded me of a cocktail bun/custard bun. Both breads had the standard Asian bakery texture that I love- soft, chewy, and not too sweet or dense. The milk tea flavor was a great combo, though I found the drink to be pretty sweet at 50%. Of the two pastries, the green tea is my favorite! Overall, the bakery tasted as good as I remembered. However, given its prices, I don't see myself coming back often.

The lady was super nice. It's a tiny place and a one-woman run shop. It was a personable and cute experience. I wanted a fancy iced coffee because it was a bright and sunny day in Issaquah. I chose Kathy's special mocha, which was a white coffee with chocolate and caramel. It was delicious. Not too sweet, but very creamy. It didn't even taste like coffee, which makes me wonder what white coffee means. The little coffee shop also has a variety of other drinks some of them involving red bull or lotus energy. I liked the creativity, but I'd personally only come here for coffee and maybe a smoothie or one of their baked goods. They also have sandwiches. There was a daily special sign that said specialty drinks are 10% off, but I didn't see the sign until after I ordered and idk if my drink counted as a specialty drink or if I got the discount. Haha. Oh well. It felt good to support a local business even though drinks are half off at Starbucks every Friday in May. They weren't getting much other business while I was there even though the taco place was crowded with people. I felt a little bad. If you ever find yourself in Issaquah and are looking for a nice coffee, this might be your place! I know I enjoyed it!

The Turkish latte is an absolute must-try. I loved the chicken shawarma sandwich, the chicken was tender, juicy, and the flavors were perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. My daughter and husband ordered the egg dish with beef bacon and eggs, and it was also excellent. The interior is neat, cozy, and inviting. We're already planning to come back and try more items from the menu. This little bakery/cafe is a wonderful find -- I'll definitely be recommending it to friends and family, the service is warm and friendly!

At this time, about half of the indoor seating was available, but we grabbed a table outside on their patio after placing our order at the counter. MANTI PLATE ($27): Tiny homemade dumplings filled with savory beef, served in a thin tomato-based sauce and topped with a creamy garlic yogurt, melted butter and sumac. This was such a comforting dish and actually reminded me of pasta. It is a substantial meal for one, or perfect for sharing! MUHAMMARA ($9): A vibrant mix of red pepper, walnuts, garlic & olive oil that made for a fresh and bold dip! One order included two small pieces of bread, which wasn't nearly enough to finish the dip. They really should provide double the bread. However, the dip was so good that I was eating scoops of it all by itself! DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE ($9): A light and airy chocolate cake layered with a rich Dubai chocolate filling, featuring a wonderful crunch from finely chopped pistachios and kunafa. Finished with a decadent chocolate ganache, it was good and not overly sweet! MANGO JELLY ROLL ($7): This was just okay. The pastry was soft inside with a slightly chewy exterior, but it felt a bit too bready and I would have preferred more filling. On that note, the mango jelly inside was actually more like a thin custard and it wasn't as bright and fruity as I had hoped. ICED HOUSE CHANTILLY TEA ($6): I was pleasantly surprised by this! It didn't have a strong tea flavor, but offered a unique, refreshing balance of fruitiness and warm spice unlike any tea I've had before. It was served without ice, a better value for the portion, but reached room temperature quickly on this warm day. Service was friendly, our food was delivered in a timely manner and the staff came by to check on us. I'd consider pricing to be somewhat elevated, but I was happy to support this small local business. Next time, I would love to try their Mezze Platter that includes all of their dips, in addition to ordering a couple pastries on the side!
