Decided on the Farmers breakfast. It was pretty good I honestly expected more to it, but what really made it was them pancakes. They were not fluffy, but who cares when it tastes soo good. I love the stacks in Menlo Park and assumed the Campbell location would be the same. We came on a Saturday morning at 9am and there was no wait (although they won't seat you until your whole party is here) I would pretty disappointed with the food quality - the menu and prices are exactly the same but the food was way worse than the menlo park location. For example we ordered chicken and waffles at both and the menlo Park location gave us real chicken breast + legs and honey on the side while the Campbell location gave us 3 sad chicken strip pieces. My friend ordered the lox which didn't look particularly fresh and everything else was just mediocre... I'm surprised by the drop in quality based on location and should have known when there was no wait on a Saturday morning... read more

Meeting family for breakfast at Stacks. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She was patient with us and made some suggestions on food choices which really helped us out. The food was delicious and a good size portion and plates were shareable. I could not resist and had to order the waffles with strawberries and whip cream. Downtown Campbell is a great spot for dining and bar options. Stacks is a decent option that is a solid(not spectacular) American breakfast brunch spot. The wait for Brunch on weekends is what you would expect, long. They offer free drip coffee so that definitely eases the pain. I usually go with the crab crepe(ample crab meat) with avocado. I've tried the Belgian waffle and it's a decent waffle option. Drip coffee is what you would expect from a diner, which is mediocre but serviceable. I'll have to say their customer service is quick and friendly. Even with as chaotic as this restaurant can get, I always seem to see smiles abound. read more

I used to love this place because I have an egg allergy and they have the substitute eggs you can put into a breakfast burrito. Ate it over a dozen times. Until today apparently. Told the waiter of my allergy and how I like my burrito. The waiter kept saying egg beaters and I said no- "imitation fake eggs" like I always get and pointed to the menu item that says imitation egg. I finally had the opportunity to check out Stacks in Campbell this morning. Given the post pandemic vibe within most restaurants I feel that it is important to be brutally honest with all of our reviews, take out any negativity and just be real and straight forward. I ordered pancakes, the short stack and I was mildly impressed. I felt that the pancakes were a bit thin, more like their crepe style of batter, the taste was good yet with a name like stacks I would hope that their signature short stack would be traditional fluffy good cakes. I hope this is helpful as I do look for tradition and consistency in the restaurants where I am paying high prices for food. read more

Everything was great! We had the gluten free apple waffle, which was spectacular! Literally just melting in the mouth. The flavor was delightful! We also had the chilaquiles, which was incredible. Just spicy enough, with jalapeños, and avocado. Our server was so nice, and took great care of us, even leaving the craft of decaf coffee for us to fill our cups as needed. The waitlist went by in a snap since the Sunday market was up and running, so we left our name and number, and we received a text when the table was ready. Always busy here on the weekend. Waited about 30-40 minutes to be called. We finally got called and got sat by where they pick up food. Sat down and a couple minutes later two workers were arguing didn't catch the other name of the lady but one of them was Cindy. The manager I suppose came to help out and break up whatever was happening. Couple minutes passed by and Cindy then gets angry and starts hitting the area where they get the food because no one was answering her question or something and she threw a tantrum. I feel as though she brings the mood down with everyone since no one was trying to deal with her. She walked away and came back and was still slamming things like the syrup and was even being rude to the manager. I would of told her to go home since there are customers sitting right there including myself witnessing this. Very unprofessional from Cindy since I kind of got scared for a second if something was even going to be thrown my way. Besides all that drama... Want a tasty crab crepe? Look no further and get one at Stack's. My crab crepe had a generous amount of crab to my surprise. I got the hollandaise sauce on the side so I could control how much to put on my crepe. I'm not sure how come I've never gone to Stack's before, but I will definitely come back again. I came here a few weeks ago on a Sunday and the wait was accurate. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. To kill time, we walked around the farmer's market. Everyone is so friendly and attentive at Stack's. I really like the atmosphere and want to check out other items on their menu again soon. Downtown Campbell is so cute! It's great to see this place thriving with new businesses (Blue Line Pizza, Frost cupcakes,etc) but when its time for brunch on the weekend, there's no other obvious choice than Stacks. This usually means a long wait. Ours was 45 mins but since we aren't discouraged easily, we just headed down to Psycho Donuts to pass time. We had a nice spacious booth, scanned the menus and after the guys flirted with our already married server, we got our orders in. Omelettes filled with bacon, sausage and onions. Banana macadamia nut and coconut pancakes. Belgian waffle with strawberries. Corned beef hash and eggs. Blueberry pancakes. Bacon and onion skillet. We came, we ate, we conquered. Coffee and water refilled with no problems and we weren't rushed outta here, no matter how many more people were waiting outside. Come for the all-American breakfast/brunch staples and bring your appetite for the big servings. Went there on Friday at noon. Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining tables, no wait. Immediately sat down. Within a few minutes, we put in our order and before we know it, maybe about 15 mins, we got our food. We ordered 2 omelettes and a savory crepe, they were all huge. Excellent!! Came here with my boyfriend today (Easter) around 12:30 for the first time! Was seated immediately without a prior reservation even though it was packed. The menu is HUUUUGE and has so many options to choose from. They have many gluten free and vegan options which is nice for different dietary needs. So my husband and I usually go to stacks in palo alto but since we moved to Santa Clara we hadn't gone back and just the other day we both agreed we would try out the one in Campbell and let me tell you it was great the welcome is sweet the staff acknowledged us my husband is temporarily disabled so we were a bit disappointed that they did not have disabled parking. We went it and in number of minutes after being sat down the waiter asked If we'd like something so we got coffee. The coffee is a lot better than denny's or IHOP it is definitely not like Jack in the box coffee that one taste like cardboard. Counter seating is first come, first served! We stopped by on Saturday around 11:30 and the wait was over 45 minutes. That's when I spotted two seats at the end of the counter. It's a good thing I asked about those, otherwise we'd still be waiting! My sister and I always like to get the basic breakfast with their pork link sausage, scrambled eggs, delicious hashbrowns with a perfect crisp crust, and buttered bagel. We usually take half of that home, but we also like to split a short stack of their fluffy buttermilk pancakes. It comes topped with a giant scoop of butter, but you can just shove that to the side. Stacks is a breakfast spot that I as well as my family enjoys to go to when we want a "nicer" breakfast/brunch place to eat at. Its not super fancy or whatever, but the food quality is consistently great and delicious. Pretty much anything at this spot on their breakfast menu tastes great and is cooked to perfection. There are so many times other restaurants will get out orders wrong or over cook things but Stacks is fortunately not one of those places!! I haven't had a good breakfast for a long time until now. We arrived around 1pm and it was pretty busy. We were seated immediately because there were a couple of tables open as well as outside seating. It took awhile for me to decide what I wanted but finally chose from the Three Egg Scramble. I ordered the hot links, green chilies, onions, mushrooms, cheddar-jack cheese, with salsa on the side ($9.85) which sounded pretty good when I read it. My brother ordered a Farmer's Breakfast ($13.80) and a small glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice ($2.60). My Three Egg Scramble was delicious! I ate that super quick but slowed down when I reached the potatoes and bagel. I was pretty full when I finished everything. My brother managed to finished everything, too. Our waitress checked back on us a couple of times. Sure this place might be a little pricey but I thought it was worth it. My friend and I came here on a weekday around 10am for breakfast, and we were immediately seated (as long as both of us were present). The food came out pretty quickly too, and it's always nice when the server brings out the coffee within 10 seconds of us sitting down! I ordered the Strawberry White Chocolate Pancake and my friend and I split some Chicken Apple Sausage with egg, potatoes and fruit. The flavors on the pancake were right on point, sweet enough and the pancakes were cooked perfectly to my liking. Having a side of sausage, egg, potatoes and fruit was a nice combination to the pancakes. Wish they offered combination platters though, as ordering that extra side drove up the costs a bit. Overly disappointing on ALL LEVELS. If I could assign ZERO Stars...I would. When we arrived this morning, the seating was about half occupied, took 5 minutes to get seated and we were the only ones waiting. We were greeted in a somewhat reasonable time, about 4 minutes. We ordered our meals and when delivered, the food was were cold. Cold pancakes, eggs, potatoes, bacon, and skellet. Did not get a visit from our server except for delivering the check. In fact, the busboy/dishwasher brought me a fresh glass of ice tea! I gave our payment to another server and then after 10 minutes, had to go collect our change. This was our first time back to Stacks after several years hoping the service had improved; alas no. We have no plans to ever go back...very disappointed indeed. read more

So it's Labor Day and my girlfriend and I didn't want to join the rest of the peeps who'd go to beaches and all... so we planned on a good breakfast and go shopping afterwards. I saw Stacks on Yelp with a lot of good comments so Stacks it was. At 8:45am, we were lucky to have a table with the perfect shade. They only have outside seating but it was fine coz morning sun was not that bad yet. The waitstaff were very courteous... everybody seemed to live their job here. The service was enormous but it want also cheap but considering the CoVid, this was all fine. Happy to support the local business who are there for us, right. So she ordered the steak (not so big in size ...medium well was a little hard though so it'll be better to go medium rare.) the side potatoes were very delicious. I had the meat crepe. Man when i think of Campbell in general Stacks always come right up and it hurts to write this but this last visit was too much. Lets starts with food. Got my kid mickey mouse pan cake and for myself seafood Benedict and cappuccino. Pancake was so dry and flaky eating it with a spoon would be a challenge. My Benedict was so mushy and had clear water at the bottom of the plate, I'm guessing when poached the eggs they gave me some of that water from eggs.. not sure what coffee that was but please dont call it cappuccino.. its not even C of cappuccino more like waterccinio. Now the inside of the place Both "clean" coffee mugs on our table had stains... Glass windows have not been cleaned for months from the looks of the kids hand prints and dust on the binds. Sad to say but i didnt even touch my food or waterccinio, kid tried his pancake its was a no go. Paid our bill and walked out. Sucks to see this place get to where its at right now and hope they turn around, but if they were this bad on a slow day wonder whats going on the weekends. read more

Usually anything with avocado and bacon is great, but the eggs were pretty dry and the omelet was somehow very bland. This place gets crazy packed for breakfast, especially on a weekend. You have to wait for 20-30 minutes, sometimes longer depending on when you go. Parking can be hard if you go midmorning. There's mostly street parking, but theres a small garage around the corner. They have booth seating available, the booths are pretty big. They also have a few tables, but nothing really good for a large party. The have smaller booths meant for two people next to the kitchen and breakfast bar area. They are a little uncomfortable and the plates are so large sometimes it's hard to fit everyonthing on the table. You can also sit outside on a nice day. I used to hold breakfast meetings with committees I worked on here, but it can be difficult because it does get loud. Service can get a little slower when you sit outside. It's so busy inside that they sometimes forget about you. Service is hit or miss here. I've had some SENSATIONAL servers here that are not only timely and get your order right, but they are friendly and talkative and add to your experience. I once ordered the Chocolate Divine and my waiter said, "You can have me any day honey!" On other days I've had a waitress that must have had a bad breakup that morning because she was barely there and messed up my order. They have huge portions here (smaller if you get it to go). They have healthy options as well, but the unhealthy options are too delicious to pass up sometimes. On the healthier side, I've ordered the oatmeal. It's delicious for oatmeal and made me want to eat oatmeal every day for the next month. It comes with a lot of options, fruits, raisins, brown sugar, cream. The oatmeal is a nice texture, not too thick and not too thin and soupy. It's not a mush, you can see every oat, definetely better than the mix you get from the grocery in a little brown packet. Everything comes with a bagel (you can ask for cream cheese on the side for an added cost). I've also had the Chocolate Divine. Delicious waffle! A little too decadent for breakfast, but every once in a while I like to eat pure sugar for before 10:00. The waffle is HUGE and comes with chocolate chips and whipped cream. It's the handmixed whipped cream too, not the kind in a can. It's thick and not too sweet, which is perfect because the waffle itself is very sweet. The chocolate chips are gooey and not burned. You can even ask for strawberries on top (not on the menu). I've also had the fresh corn beef and onions skillet with an order of chicken apple sausage on the side. I share it because its way too much food for one person. The potatoes are cut nice and thin like hash browns, the cheese gets melty. You get two eggs, I get mine over HARD (sometimes people get this wrong and the yolk is still runny which annoys me). I like to cut my eggs up and mix everything together. It's really good, not too salty like cornbeef can be sometimes. I don't really like onions so I pick mine out. The price is moderate. I think its worth what you get. They also close after lunch, so get there early and get your name in. You can walk around the area until your reservation comes up. Theres a lot of cute little shops on the same street. read more

She refused to seat an elderly man since 2 people were missing in his party. I get that you want the whole party there, but when it comes to an elderly, seat them! What a great way to start off our experience there! I believe a restaurant needs to have a friendly and smiley host. You're the first person someone sees and talks to coming inside the restaurant. The table condiments came w/ the red and green Tabasco sauce, the usual salt/pepper, ketchup and jams.. you will need to ask for the syrup. What I like is the pitcher of iced water that is on every table.. certainly eliminates the wait time on water! My Daughter enjoyed her Mickey Mouse pancakes, a smiley face was made up of sliced bananas, she also had scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and a huge piece of sausage. The wait time can get crazy here.. When I'm feeling on the sweeter side, I usually get their pancakes (which are awesome btw, but you have to have good pancakes if you're going to be naming your restaurant STACKS right?) and french toast. Stacks. Such a cute name and an eye catcher! I have driven by the restaurant many times making a mental note to try it someday. I took advantage of a Groupon but it is only valid during the week. Parking is available on the street or in one of the garages that are available around the area. Daily specials were listed on a billboard right outside the restaurant so be sure to glance at it beforehand since no separate menu is given for them. Each table is already prepped with silverware, tall cups and coffee mugs. If you order coffee the server gives you a thermos carafe for instant refills. Sweet! Here was our order: -Bacon Belgian Waffles: Super delicious and there was a piece of bacon in every bite! Nothing else comes with this so if you want a full meal you need to order things on the side. In my case I just got a side of over easy eggs. -Side order of teriyaki skirt steak with no marinade: Was pretty good but I probably should have asked for some steak sauce. -Pizza Bagel (kid's menu): Just your average pizza bagel and came with a small bowl of fruit. As a vegetarian it LOOKED SCRUMPTIOUS!!! He was well fed. I ordered an order of crepes a la carte.... perfecthot and delicately sprinkled with sugar powder... It was the perfect "break-gast" for me.
