Tried out Patio Del Copal with my parents and brother. The food was really delicious from the fish tacos, garlic shrimp plate and breakfast skillet with two kinds of sausage. My mom also really enjoyed the beans and rice too. The restaurant is bright with a nice ambiance. The server was friendly and pretty busy.

The Truck Stops Here Semi-newish (ca.2021) Mexican restaurant located in a building that used to house a thrift store (Junk Drawer) and has no built-in kitchen, ergo the food truck outside. Despite the less than ideal cooking situation, they actually churn out a surprising amount of restaurant-quality food and drink. The Good: *Not a huge shared parking lot, but it was plentiful. No street parking IFO the restaurant fwiw. *Catering available *Friendly service *Dog-friendly covered outdoor seating. *Not only do they have Dog-friendly seating, but they also have a special pup menu. *Complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic! Maybe just a touch too salty, but in this case I'd rather it be over than under. *Banana Horchata was a delicious a nice flavor combo. *Had to try their famous fish taco and it was 100% worth the extra calories. The fish was fried perfectly and the fresh ingredients and Chipotle cream sauce on top was fantastic. *Quesa-Birria Tacos were also delicious and not overly greasy. Not the best I've had, but they got the job done. *Carissa enjoyed her Blue Fajita Tacos very much. That girl loves her peppas. The Meh: *While very friendly, the service was not the speediest as our server was basically a one-woman show doing everything but the cooking. Fortunately, we had nothing to do and all-day to do it. The Ugly: *Very odd that there's no County Health records on this place. Not sure if it's classified differently since it's a food truck or what the deal is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Conclusion: Delicious Mexican food in a welcoming environment but just don't be in any kind of rush to get in and out.

Love this place! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so nice! They have flowers and lights outside and nice cultural decor. Some of the servers are really nice, some not so much. Their dinner is five stars but I didn't like breakfast the last time I had it. I definitely recommend their lunch and dinner. We ordered: - Fish taco: crunchy and flakey. They give a good amount of fish and I love the chipotle sauce it comes with. - Carnitas taco: some of the best carnitas, juicy and flavorful, not a fan of the tortillas but the meat makes up for it - Rice and beans are classic, nothing fancy but delicious - Chips and salsa: homemade chips are so good! And the salsa is delicious, nothing too spicy but has a nice kick - Burritos: huge, flavorful, good. Doesn't come with salsa so we used the salsa from the chips - elote: on the cob, so flavorful and looks pretty - horchata: this is sometimes good sometimes not, it can have a strong flavor that lingers I also got their chilaquiles which were ok. I've had better. It didn't have much flavor and the avocados it came with were rock hard. Overall, definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. I would try breakfast again but maybe something different.

What a delightful Mexican Restaurant! I chose the combo with 3 items, 2 chile rellenos, carnitas enchilada. Vegetarian Hubby had chile relleno stuffed with sautéed veggies and cheese, over a bed of Spanish rice and black beans. Complimentary chips and salsa. Very tasty food! Warm ambiance, friendly service! We will definitely come back!

I just wanted to add to my previous review that the fish taco is amazing! Also it's a huge portion and really tasty. As usual, great service and delicious food make for a lovely outdoor eating experience. This place is really great.

Good food and fast service in an unassuming location. The patio seating is a step up from a parklet, and the menu has delicious and varied styles of different areas of Mexico suitable for both the most sensitive and the adventurous palates. Good for a date or a special family outing. As good as the food is they're always working to improve the menu. Breakfast is available all day. Tortilla chips are served hot and fresh. The succulent mix of sweet and savory flavors in the Piña de Patio must be tasted to be believed. The Chilaquiles is made with authentic queso fresco, and the egg is cooked to the style you prefer. The variety of flavors they offer is as festive as the atmosphere and attentive service. This is a meal well worth seeking out.

The service was absolutely amazing Nellie did an amazing job super friendly and informative for us being first timers and her vibes and energy was amazing her service was the best my dad and I had in a long while. The food was absolutely amazing and flavorful. The Horshata was delicious as well the tacos were the best I've had in a while. The spicy ornage salsa was absolutely amazing too. Lots of take out orders and dine in orders. I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

We were seated at the booth in the back, which I have always admired, but I now realize it has its disadvantages. It is right by the bathroom, which got a bit of traffic on our visit. That's not such a big deal. The bigger concerns I have are: (1) there is no cushioning for those of us with little of our own and (2) you have to sit up fairly straight and if you want to lean against the wall, you're likely to rub shoulders with the wall hanging. Next time I will ask to be seated someplace else as there were two 2-tops outside. The food is always made from quality ingredients and I'm glad to see they are experimenting with pricing and quantity. I did not see mention of their daily happy hour, which was a feature of last year's visit so that may be gone. However, they now have a five tacos platter which offers relatively good value from the menu prices. This would be good for sharing for two people I think. But that is not what we ordered on this visit. My wife ordered two vegetarian (verduras) tacos and the Blood Orange/Jalapeno mocktail. I ordered the huevos rancheros. Unlike Luna, tortilla chips and salsa are not complimentary. So we let our appetites build. Our food arrived fairly quickly, so that was good and we dug in. My wife had ordered two extra eggs (extra charge) to accompany her tacos, and I think she was glad she did. The vegetarian tacos were not terribly generous for the price. My huevos rancheros came in a neatly stacked pile. My wife thought to ask if they had a hot sauce and they do! So we requested their hottest version. It was a welcome addition to the meal (gratis). A little vinegary, but plenty of heat. The mocktail was quite good. Like Spindrift and some other sparkling waters, it is not sweetened, but it had a good amount of strained blood orange juice, and you could taste the fresh jalapeño. I wonder if they have tried adding mint to this as I think it would be welcome. Maybe next time I will ask if they can experiment with me by adding some mint.

It got so loud at one point that we couldn't even talk with each other without having to practically scream. The decoration is beautiful though and feels like you're at a Mexican mom's fancy kitchen. Service was not good at all. We had to wait over 15 minutes to get our order taken and then we watched our food stand on the counter top for another 5 minutes. Once we were served we were never checked up on until the end when we had to flag them down to get the check. I don't think we'll be coming back.

This made it so seamless to reserve here. Our group got there at opening and our table was ready and most of the group was already seated when we got there. Drink orders were flowing as the waitress caught up to me and I got a cafe de olla. We browsed the menu and the more I looked the harder it was to pick one thing. I ended up choosing chilaquiles with a bandera sauce and carne asada as the added protein. The rest of the table got all different types of dishes from carne en su jugo to birria to omelettes. While we enjoyed each other's company sipping on our cafecito I enjoyed the ambiance of the space. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Since it was opening time it wasn't as loud as I imagine it can get in there. The sun did shine on the faces of those facing the windows which was not enjoyable for them. There was no way to cover the sun either since it was coming in from the top windows with no shade. My food came out along with the rest of the plates and we went right in to enjoy them. My favorite chilaquiles was covered in the white sauce. The red and green were good but the white sauce was my favorite. The carne was cooked well but I could taste it wasn't marinated or lacked flavor. I didn't get a knife to cut the meat so it was very difficult to enjoy a piece with my chilaquiles. It was hard to cut with a butter knife. I thought it would be a piece of steak but it was a piece of carne asada. Eggs were scrambled and cooked well. The whole plate was filling, had flavor, and was a good portion. The cafe de olla had a good flavor but a tad sweet for my preference. The space in here is a vibe. A fun place to enjoy large gatherings. I came for breakfast but will update when I come back to visit for dinner. Bathrooms are clean. Staff was welcoming and efficient in taking care of our group. Hospitality was a 10/10. Parking in the am was a breeze but at prime time I can see it being a complete nightmare so plan accordingly. I enjoyed my visit and will come back to check out the dinner menu.

We kicked things off with queso fundido, though a brief mix-up brought us chips and guacamole from another table first. Once we pointed it out, it was quickly handled--but honestly, it looked so good we ended up ordering it anyway. No regrets there--it definitely hit the spot. We hadn't planned on a full dinner, so we went with lighter bites. The tuna tostadas and halibut ceviche were a hit--fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. I went with the tortilla soup, which was good and nicely presented... but didn't quite wow me. I've been on a bit of a tortilla soup tour lately, and this one leaned a little heavy on the tortillas (soaking up too much broth) and had more zucchini than I expected. That said, major points for serving it piping hot--something a lot of places miss--and the avocado was a great addition. One thing worth noting: I didn't catch it until later, but there's a 4% living wage surcharge added to the bill--and it's taxed. That caught me off guard, and I'm still not entirely sure how that works in California. Overall, a fun, energetic spot with great drinks, tasty bites, and solid service. Not perfect, but definitely good enough to come back for another round.

I'm still thinking about the carnitas weeks later. We got the size recommended for 2 people and it did cost about $115 (including tax &tip). Our waitress was so polite and attentive. She made sure to ask if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is lively and inviting. I would love to come again and sit inside the restaurant, but the patio was perfect.

Our cups especially. They mentioned they are running out of cups, but that isn't an excuse to give out water to the table with every cup being stained with Tajin. - Everything on the sharing grill was a bit bland. - Restrooms are terrible. There are only two single stalls and the line to wait is in the way of the workers, so we had to move back and forth to let them through.

Why have I just tried this Mexican restaurant?! I've always seen their food truck a few years back…read morebefore they began to gain enough finances for brick and mortar store fronts! Yay for mom and pop eats :) Well, I was introduced to this place by my best friend, but I never carried cash to go, so I never tried it until another friend of mine mentioned the Blossom Hill location and them accepting credit card payment! (Yay, but let's not get carried away). I came on a Tuesday evening with friends and saw the place packed! Thats always a good sign~ We each ordered an individual dish to eat and chat. I was intrigued by the burrito bowl and worried it may be small. Jokes on me, it was way more than enough! Don't let the size of the bowl trick you into thinking it's not enough. The avocado was nice and perfectly ripe, the crema sauce drizzle was not overwhelmingly added onto the ball, and the salsa had a nice acid and tomatoey compliment to the beans, meat, shredded lettuce, rice, and cheese! I think this place is pretty solid for the price point and quality. They also have a free for all sauce bar too which is nice! Everything is so spicy, except for the green salsa lol. Servers seemed okay. They didn't really check on us, but it feels like a service yourself kind of place. You grab your own waters, condiments, and sauce here. If you want their chunky mango salsa, you have to flag a server down! However, 1 star is knocked off for the credit card charge, which I'm not even sure what the percentage is. I didn't see a sign at the register or perhaps I didn't look hard enough. I think this should be mentioned on the door and possibly their menu (if it isn't already). Can someone confirm if the credit card charge is 3%? Even my receipt wasn't clearly mentioning the percentage--just the fact that there's a credit card processing fee.

Wasn't as flavorful as I've had before Super burrito: 3.9/5 - it's a hefty size. Very filling. I had to eat half otherwise I'd go into full nap mode after. I'd recommend it for any burrito lover and someone who can eat a lot.
