Updated Special Menu, 3 Tacos are $9.75 now and sampler went up in price from $14

Came to this place with some friends while doing a food tour of San Jose. The woman at the cash register was nice and helpful. About the food, tacos specifically, because I love great street tacos, this place was kind of a miss for me. My carne asada meat came out like warm straight from the kitchen which is a bad sign, but also lacked any sort of seasoning. Sadly for me if the carne asada isn't good you can already tell where my carnitas is going. 2/5 The carnitas were super dry, did I maybe get the last of the meat from the container? It also came out luke warm from the kitchen. As soon as they dropped it off to the table I tried the meat from my To go container before leaving. 2/5 Maybe I'll give this place another try, but after our first visit it's a little hard for me to justify coming back. Food: 2/5* Ambiance: 3/5* Customer service: 4/5* Note: my rating is on the food itself not anything else.

We have been here a few times but the last 2 times it hasn't been that great for us. Today we arrived early and they were still wiping down the outdoor tables. However, we were waiting for our friends to arrive and we noticed that the outdoor seating area near the flower pots near the handicap parking area was still wet. Our friend went and got some napkins to dry it off so they can sit down. Upon ordering our friends went first to order upon entering there was a few people in line waiting for someone to come and take their order. I went and placed our order and after it was all done my husband noticed no table marker with a number assigned to our order. When I went in to inquire the girl was a bit confused and basically stated I know what you ordered. I usually order grilled Prawns but I didn't see it pictured in the menu so I order a Shrimp dish in tomato sauce but it didn't meet my expectations as in my previous experience with the grilled shrimp this is my own fault. Our friends also ordered their same fav dish which is Chimichangas and they also said it wasn't as good as in our previous visits there so we will not be returning. Also, for Credit Card charges they do charge a service fee of 3% and it's stated on their Menu just an FYI Cash is preferred and there's a discounted price if paying via cash.

if you are in the mood for some fish tacos, this is the place! You will not be disappointed. They have a great selection of tacos, burritos and plate options on the menu. Their drinks are so fresh! It's a small parking lot, walk up to order and sit. They have inside and outdoor seating. Service is prompt and attentive. It can take longer on weekends as it is a small business. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Fish and chips with a side of pozole.

We came around dinnertime. It wasn't too busy, so we were seated immediately. We ordered fish and chips (with a side of pozole), a si food chimichanga (with breaded halibut), two breaded halibut tacos, two salmon tacos, chips con guacamole y salsa, a regular horchata, and a cold brew horchata. The fish and chips were decent. While the fish and chips themselves are unseasoned, they come with some condiments. The pozole was good; some of the meat in it was tender, but some were tough. The chimichanga was huge! The breaded halibut inside stayed relatively crispy for some time, and overall, it was pretty tasty. I wish there was a little more salsa, though, to help brighten up the flavors. The tacos were pretty decent - the breaded halibut, as it was in the chimichanga, was nice and crispy. The salmon was a little on the drier side, though. The chips were good. The salsa and guacamole are well made, and the chips' crunchiness was a great compliment to the meal. For some reason, we thought the cold brew horchatas would be "horchata brewed in cold water" as opposed to cold brew coffee and horchata. Coffee at dinnertime was certainly a choice for us. In any case, the horchata wasn't that good - too sweet, yet sort of bland.

A delicious Mexican restaurant offering a great variety of seafood dishes with a lovely patio. I love Dia de Pesca's Sí Food tacos, especially their Halibut tacos. Rice and beans are delicious as well. Service explains the menu well and makes our dining experience pleasant.

Lovely place. I am planing to comeback and keep trying more food. I visited with my husband and It was a nice, cute and clean place to seat and enjoy some good food. Place is small but super cute and kind customer service.

Bought for lunch. Got enchilada with red sauce. The sauce was more of a paste not a sauce. Which made the enchiladas dry. Wouldn't go again.

I came here before and was blown away by how good it was. I ordered slightly different this time and have to say it was pretty average. The service was still great. They're so friendly and it was fast service. They even had some mints so freshen your breath at the end. And the place is still spacious, quaint, and fun. I think the three taco plate turned me off. Primarily the carne asada which was very tough. Too dry because it was burnt. The fish tacos plate combo with rice and beans still rocked. And the guac and chips were good. Slightly too citrusy.

IMHO First time here with my friend. We love trying out new places. This is a very colorful and charming Mexican restaurant that looks like it was once a gas station. I don't know that for a fact but there was a sign above the door that said, "NO SMOKING, STOP YOUR MOTOR". There is a small parking lot that maybe serves 9 spaces. There is both inside and outside dining. The patio tables are tiled and seating spacious. Most of the diners were eating outside on this lovely day. You order and pay at the front counter and take the order number to your table. I paid in cash, which saved me 3%, since I wasn't using credit. Don't forget the tip box!! I ordered the Fish n' Chips special, which came with a salad on the plate. I don't know what my friend ordered, but she loved her grilled taco. You'll just have to look at the pictures! My fish was super tasty and crispy! The gentleman who took our order was probably also the chef. It seemed like a one-man show. That's probably why it took a while for our food to make an appearance. The table we chose also needed to be cleared from the previous diners, but it was the only one left with shade. He apologized when he came to clear. Service was extremely friendly and helpful when asked. My fish n' chips platter came with cocktail sauce, which was a bit spicy for my fries. I didn't want to wait for Humberto to come back out to ask for ketchup, so I went inside. He graciously went into the fridge to get me a chilled squeeze bottle of ketchup! I think my salad had chipotle sauce on it instead of thousand island too. I will definitely return to Dia de Pesca!

Generous portions! I ordered the salmon chimichanga and knew I was going to be taking it home so I chose to get the sauces on the side. The flour tortilla was fried, flakey and buttery. The sauces paired well with the salmon, though I would try the sea bass next time. Nice homey style restaurant and you order and pay at the front.

We had gotten delivery from Dia de Pesca a few times during lockdown but this was the first time I took the bf to actually eat there in person. I ordered the three taco sampler that had a fried fish, a grilled fish, and some kind of meat taco. It came with two side options so I went for rice and beans. Also ordered shrimp ceviche for us to share. The bf got a vegetarian burrito that he said was one of the best vegetarian burritos ever because it had a lot of grilled vegetables inside. I felt like the prices were pretty reasonable and the portion sizes were good. The ceviche had a ton of shrimp! Their outdoor eating area is really special - it seems like you are eating in someone's garden. Lots of plants separating the eating area from the parking lot, and all the tables are colorful. We will definitely return.

Terrible photo of the sifood burrito and breakfast burrito (regular order)

Dia de Pesca is one of our weeknight favorites - my girlfriend from San Diego has said it's her top Mexican food place in the Bay. We always get takeout, and the food is fab. Staff are so nice, and it's great they have sizeable indoor/outdoor dining. We love the sifood burritos and taco sampler. Sooo good! My pic is terrible but we always get too excited to eat right away to take pics.

Stumbled across this spot and I'm glad I did -- definitely a hidden gem that locals need to check out. I grabbed two tacos: one shrimp and one breaded halibut. The halibut taco? Absolutely fire. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and well-balanced. Highly recommend that one if you're stopping by. The shrimp taco was good too -- fresh and tasty -- but it was a little light on the meat compared to the halibut. Still worth trying though! Overall, this place has that underrated, hole-in-the-wall vibe with food that seriously delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more off the menu.

It was weird, them telling us that, but not a big deal. Once we were seated, service was excellent. We were checked on multiple times, and didn't feel rushed as we made our selections on the menu. To drink, we got the mojito verde and herbalist, and both were delightful even though they didn't taste very different from each other. Our dishes were enjoyable as well. The new england lobster roll with browned butter was a good size and stuffed with lobster meat, though a bit tough. I enjoyed the sandwich nonetheless, especially the nicely grilled and buttery bread. I didn't love the price though (almost $40), especially when the lobster seemed to be slightly overcooked. My bf got the blackened wild pacific yellowfin tuna with mac n cheese and brussel sprouts, and we shared some of the sides for our dishes. Nothing special about the fries or mac n cheese, but the brussel sprouts with bacon were delicious and satisfying. It was also a first trying the blue pool oysters, and these had a unique and appealing flavor. The restaurant had plenty of indoor and outdoor tables, as well as bar with even more seating. It was a nice setting for celebrating a special occasion and sharing a decent meal. And the walk from the mall self-parking garage wasn't bad (and free for the first hour). Overall, we had a positive experience.
