We did takeout. There are a few tables and bright and cheerful atmosphere. The bathroom is on the left when you walk in. As you walk in, there's a big menu board up top and a very helpful cheerful person behind the cash register ready to take your order. There's a steam table with lots of options that you can see. And it's an open kitchen. The two cooks were fast and accurate. We got a carne asada super burrito, nachos (with carne asada) and chicken flautas. All the meat was clearly well marinated and seasoned. The next day I was eating the chicken out of the second flauta and it was so good. Hits the spot. I don't think you can go wrong with the super burrito or asada fries. The meat wasn't dry, seasoned well, and the right amount of savory for me. I'm soooo happy I found a closer location to me than the other one deeper in San Jose. The service is always very kind and thoughtful. I was in the area and hungry so came in to order a breakfast burrito. They had no potatoes on their menu at all. I can't speak to the service as I took my order to go. The restaurant on the inside is nice and bright and looked clean. The staff was pleasant. When I got home to eat my burrito it was large but not exactly what I was looking for as again there was no potatoes on it maybe that's being picky but what can I say. The salsa were very good. This place hit the spot! My boyfriend went straight for the habanero salsa and was genuinely impressed by the heat level. Not the watered-down "spicy" you get at most places, actual kick. I ordered the crispy tacos and was really happy with them. The shells had a great crunch, and the beans and rice on the side were way better than the afterthought versions most spots serve. The real highlight though? I asked for extra sour cream and guacamole on the side and they were SO generous with both. Didn't feel like I was rationing a tablespoon of guac across three tacos, which, honestly, is rare. Portions were great. Great spot for a casual dinner or lunch when you want something satisfying and flavorful without overcomplicating it. People are sleeping on this spot. It's been a while since I've gone to Lucy's, but the food here is always consistent. The prices are great and they serve quality food. I love their carne asada anything and the agua frescas. They always have horchata but they will have a random one depending on what is available - water melon, melon, pineapple, mango, Jamaica. Located right on the corner of Bascom and Union Ave, where I typically drive by and never pay attention to shops there as I'm mostly a creature of habit. On this one day did decide to stop when I noticed there was a little Eatery, right on said corner called LUCYS MEXICAN GRILL. Walking in the first thing that I noticed is how clean the place is. I mean like really clean. The attention to detail you don't typically see out there anymore, unfortunately. I was also greeted by the nice young lady behind the counter who made me feel welcome instantaneously. She made some recommendations for what I should eat. I ended up with a super burrito with carne asada , and she asked me which hot sauce I would like with my meal. I wasn't sure since I had not been here before and was not familiar with what they offered, so she was kind enough to give me one or two of each and told me to come back and let me know which one that I liked the best. The food was prepared quickly and put together well and was delicious. (oh and I picked the red salsa. It is delicious but watch out it is hot!) There is inside seating and outside seating and I'm sure once the weather warms up a bit more, I will be back to spend an afternoon or early evening on the patio, enjoying the weather and some amazing food! This experience goes to show you should always look around you as sometimes little treasures are right in front of you and all you need to do is open your eyes and see them. Well done!! Went to Lucy's Mexican Grill in Campbell for the first time on Sunday, July 27. They had an advertisement on the window for a breakfast burrito with a side of chips for $9.99. Got two, both with bacon. The good: the food was delicious. Lots of flavor, good portions, lower prices than most restaurants for a breakfast burrito and free chips. We also enjoyed the green and red salsas. The bad: some potatoes in the burrito were severely undercooked. My fiancé took a big piece of potato out and bit into it and it sounded like an apple slice. I was also a little confused about the chips as we only got one small bag despite ordering two burritos. I assumed we would have gotten two portions of chips and two portions of salsa if we ordered two burritos. Overall, we liked the ambience and sat outside with the dog. I would return. read more

Terrible experience from start to finish. The customer service was a joke. When I called about my online order, the worker on the phone named Myra laughed at me instead of helping she also proceeded to hang up on me 2 times. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They refused to refund me back online; they wanted to me go out of my way to go all the way to the restaurant to get my cash. Consistent, fresh ingredients with excellent service! What makes Lucy's different is that for some reason burnt, dry or chewy chicken and steak seems to be a normal thing at other restaurants, but here the meat is always perfect! I have an onion sensitivity so I usually get super burritos and tacos without pico de gallo and they ALWAYS get the order right . The food is flavorful, and the ratio of ingredients is perfect. We stopped by for a quick bite and tried chicken burrito, tacos and mulitas. They were all decent but the burrito was a bit dry. The roasted onions and jalapeños served alongside the tacos helped elevate the dish. Mulitas were quesadillas made with corn tortillas, this was undoubtedly the best dish of the lot. We got two varieties of salsas. The roasted tomato and pepper salsa was the best. We doused all our dishes with it and it helped alleviate the dryness to a certain extent. Very clean shop, with delightful service. The flautas are legit. Highly recommend. Few places offer these (aka taquitos) that are authentic to a San Diegan! I did alacarte since I don't need beans and rice. Perfect! The carne asada burrito was good, but they forgot the cheese and sour cream. The meat was quite crispy, but luckily not chewy and gristly like others places. They use real avocado slices which is a plus. I will return, and looking forward to the Cubano torte, and some of the other options. But my GoTo will be the flautas. read more

Dropped by to try something new. Ordered an Al Pastor super burrito--very solid. came with a generous amount of rice but about 4 thin slices of avocado. The Al Pastor was more crispy than expected, at one point I removed what I thought was a toothpick but was just a burnt piece of meat. My partner ordered a San Jose burrito with Chorizo which he really enjoyed. I got green salsa which i think was some sort of avocado and tomatillo mix with a 3/5 hotness. Lucy's is one of my most favorite places to eat in the Campbell area! Just outside downtown Campbell, this is my #1 go-to for a super burrito and their nachos! Their tacos are delicious and I find that ordering a super taco and their nachos with carne asada super fills me up with leftovers for later too! Every time I go there, the workers are friendly, the orders come quick (usually I call it in), and it is such a speedy process. Oh! They also have carne asada fries too, which are delicious! Can you tell I've nearly tried everything on their menu? Their ingredients are delicious, and you can tell that everything is made with care - not just all slabbed on there. My parents and I tried this place over the weekend. I've been wanting to try it for a while now. Lucy's Mexican Grill did not disappoint!!! I ordered an al pastor GRILLED burrito. Ask them to grill it, it's amazing. It would be even better after covid when you can eat it there!!! It was delicious and the perfect amount for me. The avocado seemed fresh and the meat was juicy and crispy. My dad had the carne asada burrito and my mom had a chicken chimichanga. She continued to say "wow! This is a lot of food" as she was eating her food because she was surprised at the portion size. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I called our orders in before picking up. When picking up, she asked if we wanted salsas. My parents can NOT handle spice, so she told me to stick with the mild and medium (the mild still has a kick to it - my dad was sweating!!!) Everyone raves about the orange salsa, so when I asked about that one, she said not to get because it's REALLY spicy and made with habaneros. I was too scared to try it. Lucy's Mexican Grill has taken over Fiesta's Taqueria! They are located on the corner of South Bascom and Union. It shares parking with a laundromat and a liquor store but has enough parking to accommodate people coming in and out. The new owners revamped the whole place, new paint, new appliances, new outdoor tables, and overall CLEAN. It's a pretty big deal to say because the old business that was here prior looked like an old dump. The rundown: Super Burrito - Carne asada I should say! The burrito was fat and loaded. BF said it could use more avocado but overall good. Super Nachos - YUM! Tortilla chips, carne asada, cheese, sour cream, refried beans, spicy guacamole. Couldn't be anymore satisfied and probably the best super nachos I've had in a very long time. Horchata - Large! I've had my share of Horchata's and theirs is more on the cinnamon side. Pretty good to me especially on a hot day! Salsas - Green, red, and orange. I like their sauce better than La Vics. It's more of an actual sauce that goop. Love the spicy tang to it too! We've been to Lucy's on Blossom Hill and couldn't believe they opened another location on Bascom! *FYI, Lucy's normally has a salsa bar for people to grab as many as they want but due to Covid-19, everything is pre-packed.
