Long Beach's cornerstone pizza shop that has a lot to say and definitely here to stay. It proudly boasts a finely tuned sourdough, perfecting the crust and overall feeling to the dough. Throughout every visit, they've hit all the marks when it comes to different types of pies and each experience was consistently awesome. Offering more than just slices and squares, theres always something for someone. I recommend any of their hot honey or burrata pieces as it's my favorite combo but that veggie mushroom pizza is another level too. They always are quick with orders or heating up slices but i do recommend calling in when busy. Stepping in always feels like getting a classic pizza shop experience with big city quality. People are free to enjoy their slice and just hangout in or outside. The weekends are almost movie like with a friendly neighborhood vibe that will reel you in.

I have to say, this is probably the worst slice deal in America (and I've eaten a lot of slices at a lot of places). With tax and tip each slice came out to a little over $10, in this economy?! However, their full Pizza prices are in line with what you would expect from a place like this, so this is probably a place I would only recommend coming if you want a whole pizza. It does have a very cute ambiance and it's a bit of a cozy location with not a ton of seating, but it gets the job done. I was also a little disappointed because of the hype around the crust, it really didn't taste that unique, but one of the pizzas I had was very flavorful (the Truffle Shuffle). I really regret not getting the vodka slice because the gentleman at the counter said the other option was better, but I've heard very good things about their vodka pizza from others. At some point I would like to come back here and give this another try, maybe in a group setting and getting a whole pizza to-go. I also heard their ranch is very good, but I forgot to try it this time. Food: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 1/5 (for slices) Overall: 3/5

Yes, please, thank you, and may I have another? Speak Cheezy is everything good about pizza and definitely one of the top pizza shops in Long Beach for a reason. I ordered the Brooklyn Bee. The crust was incredible, and the ingredients used were delicious and well balanced throughout the pie (including the hot honey - yum!). I ordered online for an easy breezy pickup. The hardest part is just finding parking when it's peak hours.

Pizza and carb lover conosseuirs (can't spell this word, sorry) unite!!! If you have an addiction born out of the COVID lockdown, you can visit this place that makes this carb for their pizzas. I got the LBC (Long Beach City) pizza and the smell alone was heavenly. Crispy crust with that bubbled crust and thin slice of dough baked to perfection and not overloaded with toppings(unless you want to add extra toppings), this was very good. The kicker are those cups of pepperoni which are a cardiologists nightmare but a pizza lovers dream on top. Service was quick even though most people seemed to have called in their orders ahead of time(smart) and I was informed it would be a 155 minute wait for my pie, I didn't mind. Ambience is pretty much grab and go although there is bar stool seating and 2 tables if you want to eat in the shop. All pies are 14 inches in diameter and, as mentioned before, you can always add toppings to your pies if you want. A little on the pricey side, but you can't mess with quality as their dough is formented for 4-5 days (?) and the quality ingredients can't be beat. Parking is limited with a small lot in the back and street parking. Credit/debit only, no cash. Oh, and they also sell shaved ice too. Slices are available, but limited to what they offer that day, so be flexible with your menu choices. Happy eating!!

Pizzas by the Slice are available. (Today all 3 were the thicker style of pizzas) They usually have their 3 best sellers available for the slice options $7+ The slice i ordered is the LBC: Crushed Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Ezzo Pepperoni, House Fennel Sausage, Ricotta, Sliced Garlic, Sicilian Oregano, Parmesan Quality sourdough, good ingredients. I prefer them NY style but i will come back w a few people to try their whole pie! The gentleman that assisted me was very friendly and detailed! Thank you (Parking in the rear)

The wait for my item was too long. I had one order, which was a to dye pizza. I ordered ahead of time, 30 min ahead. I wasn't expecting my pizza to be done when i got there as I got there about 3 min before it was ready. That was no biggie, I came inside let them know and they said it would only take about 5 more minutes. I ended waiting 20-25 minutes waiting for a pizza that I ordered ahead of time. I intentionally ordered ahead to avoid waiting this long- I expect this kind of wait if I ordered at the counter. Not only that, but the employees didn't seem concerned with the extent of the wait. Which made the environment seem a bit, careless. My advice: order maybe an hour ahead and see if your pizza is going to have a 20-25 min waiting time on top of that or maybe it'll be cold from waiting. Your choice. * suppose to be ready by 8:33pm, got it at 8:54.

So yummy for it being sourdough pizza!! Got the to dye for & thoroughly enjoyed it. Great choice if you don't enjoy meat on your pizza. 8/10, v flavorful :).

Came back to have their Black Garlic white pizza and their Tie Dye 2.0, which features their vodka sauce and pesto sauce. Of course, I got the pizzas on their 14" sourdough crust; however, they do have a cauliflower option for vegans and a thin crust option for those who prefer that. In the summer, another cool offering is their shaved ice, which they call "speak freezy". They only had a limited offering of flavors on this friday afternoon, but I'm glad I got it. While I prefer korean bingsoo, as a korean shaved ice is usually a creamy shaved snow, this Hawaiian-inspired shave ice is quite refreshing on a hot day. If you get it, splurged with the snow cap (condensed milk) and the soft serve. Overall, you should come by this Long Beach Pizzeria for their house-made sourdough crusts and their heavy-handed offerings of cheese and toppings of their special flavors. Their brooklyn bee is still my favorite pizza flavor and I think their salads are nice; however, I can't say that I'm a fan of their oven-baked wings.

    Karen D.

I love their mushroom pizza! The sourdough crust is always crispy and light, never greasy. And like the name suggests, very cheesy. The vegan cheese option is.. strange, hence the minus one star. Still solid

We came all the way from Corona for this pizza The crust is made with a sourdough starter that is absolutely delectable The sauce tastes like it's made in-house. They use quality meats and cheese. You've got to try this pizza! This little spot is located on the corner of 4th /Termino so you'll have to find street parking in the neighborhood. It is small and has limited seating. They offer a great lunch special. It's pricey if you compare it to Domino's but THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT DOMINOS. The customer service is amazing, they definitely made some great suggestions. Oh and they also offer shaved ice if you have a sweet tooth afterwards.

Heard about this place from my friend who came when they opened & i just now got to try it but omg hi i #love !!!! pizza was so so so so scrumptious. We got two pizzas & 1 garlic bread & all were 10/10 would recommend to the gals & gays !! my fave was the spicy vodka pizza, tasted just like the pasta in pizza form which was lowkey life changing This seems like a take ur pizza to go more than a sit down type only bc there was only about 3 ish tables. But the inside reminds me of a johnny rockets pizza edition hi Service was also 10/10, two baddies greeted us when we came in & were super nice & greeted us when we left. real recognize real

This place is AMAZING to say the least. We came in shortly after they opened and ordered their Margherita pizza. The pizza did take some time but Pete ( manager ? ) let us know the doughs hadn't been thawed enough and offered us drinks in the mean time. Once the pizza came out, it didn't stand a chance. With other pizzas, you usually feel bloated or heavy but this sourdough pizza feels so light. The place itself is nicely decorated, with merch and of course pizza boxes. While the pizza is delicious, Pete's customer service made the experience even better.

    PEPPERONI
    Patricia B.

My first time trying this pizza spot and I'm in love! I got the 14" pepperoni pizza and it costed around $27 (with tax, no tip yet). The crust was soooo delicious; it was a sourdough crust and it was probably my favorite part. The sauce, cheese and pepperonis were yummy too. The service was great and friendly! I saw a lot of people come in and out as I waited for my pizza (took about 10 mins), and it seemed like everyone knew each other/that locals go here all the time, which was nice to see. There's limited seating inside but it wasn't too busy when I went. The decorations were also cute - art on the walls, designs on the walls, etc. They have so many different flavors, and with how tasty their pizza is, I'd definitely come back again. They also have a lunch special everyday (12-4 pm), where you get a slice of pizza and salad for $10 - such a good deal!

LB mushroom x Speak Cheezy - delicious!

Yes, a few seats are available at their 2 tables.

If you look on their website (or ToastTab) you can see all the pizza options, including cheese. Not sure about slices since I've only ordered whole za's.

I was deciding on lunch with the fam and my aunt recommended SoCal Wings. After browsing their…read moremenu, I was sold and placed a phone order. Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

I was missing a fish fillet, my shrimp was cold, my chicken was burnt but still ice cold, and my fries were so burnt that they were almost black and orange. This experience was absolutely appalling and I highly do not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

For Shlap Muan Wings (pan sauces), customers can order a minimum of 4 pieces per flavor and two highlighted flavors are Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) and Water Buffalo. *** Dirty Elvis (10 pieces total - Split Flavor on Cambodian Dirt - $16.00): Those 5 Dirty Elvis wings were absolutely amazing - crispy and saucy. The Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) wings were solid, but in hindsight I probably should have just doubled down and gone with all 10 pieces of Dirty Elvis. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.

Baron quickly stepped in to help me out and I got the buffalo chicken tender fries with added lemon pepper, I was undecided on a beer but he patiently waited for me to make my decision. My meal felt like a pretty shareable portion but very delicious. Overall the vibe was chill.

We drove all the way from Downey because we've been to this location before and have always been served, even around 10:30PM. Tonight the doors were still open, so we walked in thinking service was still available. Instead of properly explaining anything, the worker immediately said, "No more orders, online only," with a rude attitude and zero professionalism and this was still 45 minutes before closing. No apology, no customer service, no attempt to explain respectfully. Just dismissive and unprofessional behavior. Owners, you seriously need to train your staff better because employees like this ruin the reputation of your business. I understand workers may not care the same way owners do, but the way this employee treated customers was completely unacceptable. I'll still support the restaurant because I know this isn't how the business usually operates, but management needs to address the worker who was there on May 13th at 10PM. Completely gross and unexpected experience.
