Lives up to the hype. This is a freshhh pizza. Just on pizza alone it's a 5. Seriously can't wait to come try their other specialties. We ordered on a Friday around 7:30 and it was ready in 30 minutes. Food: The LBC was delicious. The fennel sausage is the star of the show on this one with the ricotta being its co-lead. The pepperoni is amazing but was more of a supporting character. They light on the sauce but the freshness and depth of flavor was spectacular. Tip: if you live 15 minutes away like me, I'd eat there on in your car cause it does get cold fast. read more

Honestly it's overpriced but it is good pizza. I would get it more often if it wasn't stupidly expensive ($40 for one with two ranches and a tip on DoorDash). Seriously great pizza. We had an off menu special with yellow tomatoes that was without question the best pizza I've ever had in Long Beach. The sourdough crust was perfect, and fresh ingredients, not over seasoned -- perfect. We took home a couple of foccacia slices that looked pretty tired, but a few minutes in the toaster and they were also great -- different from the pizza, but super tasty. Very high quality pizza and ingredients, as reflected in their prices. Our favorites are the LBC and the Tie Dye 2.0... Unfortunately they changed the Tie Dye (now called the To Dye For) somehow in the past year and we don't like it as much. Regardless, their vodka sauce is amazing and the garlicky cheezy bread is good too--make sure you get a side of marinara for dipping! So yummy. If you're after a quick, cheap pie, this isn't the place. But if have time, a little extra money, and want some truly delicious pizza, stop in at Speak Cheezy. read more

Honestly some of the best pizza I've had in a long time! You can either order a full pie or order by slice. Each slice is large and we found that one slice was enough for one person. We tried the carbonara, truffle, vodka sauce with meatball, and tie dye slices and loved all of them. After hearing about a sourdough pizzeria with alleged NY style pizzas, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical.. but after ordering The Heights pizza we're on board. Admittedly, $25 for a 16 inch pizza without toppings is steep, but we bit the bullet so to speak and the pizza itself is pretty solid. The hubby and I'd been meaning to try this place for quite a while but hadn't had the chance until just recently, when we were in the area to visit Flux Art Space across the street. We ordered a half and half because my partner is vegetarian and we were told the pizzas had to be based off the same sauce so we chose 2 with the same sauce for base but were told the cook in the back said he wouldn't do that combo. We went through that a couple times and found a pair they would make. The dough is made of sourdough which is different but be open minded because it's really good. Pizza was awesome ingredients were good and the ingredients worked well with each other we got half a tie dye and half a spicy vodka meatball as well as half a farmers market salad. The place is small but they have enough seating inside for like 10 people maybe and there's some benches outside. Service was good, kids working were on top of customer service which is one of those things that makes or breaks and experience. Would we come back again... Yes,most definitely. Oh my - sourdough pizza? Say less! Ever since I had sourdough pizza when the COVID-19 pandemic started (in early 2020), I've been trying to find more great sourdough pizza places and had seen Speak Cheezy on my social media feed for a while. I finally had the chance to go during the weekday and here's what I got: - Black garlic: Mozzarella, Black & Roasted Garlic, Black Pepper, Basil, Parmesan Crema. $25 - PUMPKIN HONEY BUNNY They have gluten-free crust, for an extra charge, but I've never had it, so I can't speak to it. My pizzas came out in about 20-30 minutes and was so delicious. But one start was lost because of the price - it is so expensive. They have slices too that you can pick-up - it depends on the day. Pro-tip: Do take-out because if you have a big group, there won't be any space since the inside is very minimal, with no more than 5 benches to sit. It's a hole in the wall place after all, with no frills. Parking is all street and very, very tight, given it's on 4th St. and therefore hard. read more

Found this little gem walking back to our car. Noticed a group walking with a box of pizza so decided to go look for the shop. I love me some Brooklyn style pizza, but theirs is totally different. It's square cuts and looks like it's Chicago style. Note that they only serve this style for lunch. Then it's the thin brooklyn style as the day goes on. We had their Brooklyn Bee slice and a traditonal pepperoni square slice. I learned from Ron that Carino made our Brooklyn Bee which is salami and sausage. Ed is the one that served us and Ron rang up the pizza. I thought that they would just bag up the slices but Ed said it'll be about a minute or two to heat up the slice. I was shocked and thrilled that they did that. Most places do not do that. So that was already another plus for me! Friendly service and heating up my food. We sat at the island wall and Ed served us the hot pizza. When I looked at my pizza i noticed a drizzle of sauce which I thought was just some olive oil (yes some places do that and I do not know why and do not recommend it either). On top was fresh basil. I love me some basil! Anyways, Ed drizzled a unique sauce and I asked him what it was. He said he it was hot spicy honey. Let me tell you, that spicy honey was off the hook! It adds just enough of a kick in your mouth. If I have to add spice to the pizza, it's not pizza to me. The balance of the honey, spice, fresh basil and the crunch of the crust, but soft inner dough was just awesome. It felt like the pizza melted in my mouth. I noticed the bread was uniquely different. Like I said I'm not a Chicago style pizza fan, but the thickness of this bread is surely appreciated. While chatting with Ed and Ron, they mentioned that the dough is not any regular dough. It's sourdough bread. That was a twist that I appreciated. We ate our slice of pie (pizza) so fast that we ordered a whole pie to go. Of course we had to have half pepperoni and half Brooklyn Bee (Salami & sausage). And while we waited, we chatted with Ed and Ron some more. Ron offered us a treat of his special baked, salt chocolate chip cookie. You know when you've had a great meal and then you just want to top it off with something sweet..the cookie did just that. It will make you do a "Perfecto!blowing kiss on your finger tips". We have not had a good pizza in a looong time. We would give it six stars if we could. If you were the owner, WHY would you understaff on one of the busiest days ever? You made it so hard for the people in the front taking care of almost everything, unbelievable. They had to do pickup orders, doordash ubereats, people ordering there, just STRAIGHT UNDERSTAFFED. By far one of the best pizza spots in Long Beach. The sourdough crust makes it unique and the flavor is so amazing.
