Great pies, definitely advise the spicy vodka.. crust was so thick too! Staff were super friendly and quick to take my order. Loved hearing their recommendations too

I had high hopes for this place after seeing a few videos on Instagram recently. I tried their truffle shuffle and it was decent at best. I feel like this place has a ton of potential to be super cool if they just live it up a little bit by even playing a little music. The inside decor of the place was really cool, and the customer service was pleasant. I did notice that they have like a little pick up window. Where perhaps you could grab a slice and go versus going inside. Parking is on the street and free. If you're unsure about trying this place, I recommend going during lunch for their lunch special but to buy a whole pie I don't know if it would be worth it unless you're sharing with people

Ordered a Detrot and got a loaf of bread:( As a native of southeast Michigan, I consider myself a Detroit pizza expert. As such, I've been looking for a local joint that can come close to replicating Buddy's or even Buscemi's pizza. Another strikeout here. Best so far is Ria's in HB and my own kitchen, of course.

Music is great, some seat available and the service is great. The pizza its self is fantastic, can't go wrong with a pepperoni here. Shoutout to the cooks in the back and the Owner!

I have to say, this is probably the worst slice deal in America (and I've eaten a lot of slices at a lot of places). With tax and tip each slice came out to a little over $10, in this economy?! However, their full Pizza prices are in line with what you would expect from a place like this, so this is probably a place I would only recommend coming if you want a whole pizza. It does have a very cute ambiance and it's a bit of a cozy location with not a ton of seating, but it gets the job done. I was also a little disappointed because of the hype around the crust, it really didn't taste that unique, but one of the pizzas I had was very flavorful (the Truffle Shuffle). I really regret not getting the vodka slice because the gentleman at the counter said the other option was better, but I've heard very good things about their vodka pizza from others. At some point I would like to come back here and give this another try, maybe in a group setting and getting a whole pizza to-go. I also heard their ranch is very good, but I forgot to try it this time. Food: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 1/5 (for slices) Overall: 3/5

Long Beach's cornerstone pizza shop that has a lot to say and definitely here to stay. It proudly boasts a finely tuned sourdough, perfecting the crust and overall feeling to the dough. Throughout every visit, they've hit all the marks when it comes to different types of pies and each experience was consistently awesome. Offering more than just slices and squares, theres always something for someone. I recommend any of their hot honey or burrata pieces as it's my favorite combo but that veggie mushroom pizza is another level too. They always are quick with orders or heating up slices but i do recommend calling in when busy. Stepping in always feels like getting a classic pizza shop experience with big city quality. People are free to enjoy their slice and just hangout in or outside. The weekends are almost movie like with a friendly neighborhood vibe that will reel you in.

Yes, please, thank you, and may I have another? Speak Cheezy is everything good about pizza and definitely one of the top pizza shops in Long Beach for a reason. I ordered the Brooklyn Bee. The crust was incredible, and the ingredients used were delicious and well balanced throughout the pie (including the hot honey - yum!). I ordered online for an easy breezy pickup. The hardest part is just finding parking when it's peak hours.

    SPICY VODKA MEATBALL

Hands down one of the best pizzas in the area. This pizza is so unique and I'm obsessed!! As a spicy vodka rigatoni pasta enthusiast, I gravitated toward the Spicy Vodka Meatball and the sauce is incredible. The mozzarella pairs well with the spice and the every topping balances each other out. It is a bit pricey but honestly I think it's worth it! You can't find a pizza like this anywhere else Although I've only been here a few times, the workers are always nice and good vibes! They even help me narrow down what I should get when it was my first time.

Pizza and carb lover conosseuirs (can't spell this word, sorry) unite!!! If you have an addiction born out of the COVID lockdown, you can visit this place that makes this carb for their pizzas. I got the LBC (Long Beach City) pizza and the smell alone was heavenly. Crispy crust with that bubbled crust and thin slice of dough baked to perfection and not overloaded with toppings(unless you want to add extra toppings), this was very good. The kicker are those cups of pepperoni which are a cardiologists nightmare but a pizza lovers dream on top. Service was quick even though most people seemed to have called in their orders ahead of time(smart) and I was informed it would be a 155 minute wait for my pie, I didn't mind. Ambience is pretty much grab and go although there is bar stool seating and 2 tables if you want to eat in the shop. All pies are 14 inches in diameter and, as mentioned before, you can always add toppings to your pies if you want. A little on the pricey side, but you can't mess with quality as their dough is formented for 4-5 days (?) and the quality ingredients can't be beat. Parking is limited with a small lot in the back and street parking. Credit/debit only, no cash. Oh, and they also sell shaved ice too. Slices are available, but limited to what they offer that day, so be flexible with your menu choices. Happy eating!!

Update: The seasonal pizzas are recommended. I have tried the bean and cheese pizza and the esquites pizza and both are amazing. The esquites pizza is very unique but probably the best pizza I have ever had

Staff at the counter were great giving me recommendations since it was my first time. And of course, I awkwardly picked none of them! I ordered a Smokey Pepperoni pie and decided to wait with a slice of cheese (not pictured) as a test control. I think sourdough pizza changed my life. The crust is so light and crispy, which is how I like pizza dough as a native from the East Coast. We also got a slice of the Spicy Pancetta Chicken Ranch. I love the fresh dill, it really made it pop! Inside has a few chairs and tables to sit and eat but it's mostly quick service.

Pizzas by the Slice are available. (Today all 3 were the thicker style of pizzas) They usually have their 3 best sellers available for the slice options $7+ The slice i ordered is the LBC: Crushed Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Ezzo Pepperoni, House Fennel Sausage, Ricotta, Sliced Garlic, Sicilian Oregano, Parmesan Quality sourdough, good ingredients. I prefer them NY style but i will come back w a few people to try their whole pie! The gentleman that assisted me was very friendly and detailed! Thank you (Parking in the rear)

receipt: ready by 8:33 and got it at 8:54..

The wait for my item was too long. I had one order, which was a to dye pizza. I ordered ahead of time, 30 min ahead. I wasn't expecting my pizza to be done when i got there as I got there about 3 min before it was ready. That was no biggie, I came inside let them know and they said it would only take about 5 more minutes. I ended waiting 20-25 minutes waiting for a pizza that I ordered ahead of time. I intentionally ordered ahead to avoid waiting this long- I expect this kind of wait if I ordered at the counter. Not only that, but the employees didn't seem concerned with the extent of the wait. Which made the environment seem a bit, careless. My advice: order maybe an hour ahead and see if your pizza is going to have a 20-25 min waiting time on top of that or maybe it'll be cold from waiting. Your choice. * suppose to be ready by 8:33pm, got it at 8:54.

    Is there indoor seating?

Yes, a few seats are available at their 2 tables.

Do they sell plain cheese pizza or plain cheese slice?

If you look on their website (or ToastTab) you can see all the pizza options, including cheese. Not sure about slices since I've only ordered whole za's.

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!
