Love this local gem! They offer delicious pizza slices and garlic bread. We've tried the classic pepperoni, white, Greek, and super slices. All are thin NY style. Not even close to present. Almost as if they are looking to save on food costs. $50+ for two large (more like medium) pizzas for what you get. Value not there. I pay a lot more than that regularly for good pizza and don't mind. But I could've got 2 Little Caesar hot and ready for hal and would've tasted better. Not enough places serve slices anymore, but Valentino's does! Their 2 slice combo is a great deal! $10 for 2 big slices of pepperoni or cheese and a hugeeeee fountain drink. The pizza was piping hot and so cheesy. They also have single slice to-go boxes so if you don't finish no worries!! Definitely something you can share. The service was good and fast! Came in to use the bathroom as well, had to ask for the key, and the bathroom was well maintained and clean. It's a small spot, not a lot of inside seating, but they also had some outdoor seating. Received a call from GruebHub, and not the restaurant, that the were canceling my order after 30 minutes, because the restaurant was "closed." They really need to update their times EVERYWHERE if this is not true and not take orders if they just don't want to fulfill them. We have driven by Valentino for years, but for some reason, never gave it a try . Recently, we started picking up pizza here for our pizza nights and we love it. The ingredients are fresh, if you use a Slice app, or pizzas are ready within a few minutes. The staff is always friendly and we've loved the pizza. in the pizza shop they also offer iced and cold treats that we have yet to try but will soon. Ok, there are better pizzas in Long Beach, Michael's, L'antica Pizzeria and La Parolaccia to name a few. But they are more sit down, long meal kind of places. But for a quick drive-in and drive-out pizza, Valentino's is just about the best. Their Super Pizza, with practically everything on it is excellent. Good California pizza at Valentino's. Fifth star for the nicest wait staff, server and manager, that I've encountered in a pizza restaurant. They do a brisk takeout and another customer vouched for their other dishes. We shared a pineapple soft serve which I liked even more when it had melted to a creamy drink. Many ice cream selections from which to choose. Naples is a quiet and relaxed family part of Long Beach. I would to thank Neddy and the staff for helping my family get food the day of the boat parade. We had ordered online ahead of time especially because my dad is diabetic and we had 3 little ones that were hungry. The system is a 3rd party and the order was going to take 45 more minutes at this time I asked to speak with a manager and the guy just stood there not helping the staff he had sent someone to cancel my order. I was not being unpleasant I was understanding but working in the service industry I just want to get anything that was available and comprise, thank god for Neddy and the rest of the staff . My husband got a slice of the ricotta pizza and I got the supreme and while his was decent, mine legit taste like Costco pizza and was pretty greasy. I thought it was just me, so I gave a bite to my toddler (who loves pizza), and she pushed it away and spit it out (gotta love toddlers!) So I made the decision to try all the pizza places on 2nd Street. Just a random idea and since we were back on lockdown I said why not. So I had the opportunity to try Valentino's two nights in a row. Wasn't part of the plan, but hey I'm a fan of Valentino's now. So i was going to go down to Domenico's and even Buono's down on Willow because it was highly rated. That didn't happen after all. It was about 8:30p and both locations stopped doing take out and they said they were closing early because the lack of business. So I called Valentino's and they were open! Not only were they clutch. After I placed my order they told me to come back in about 5 minutes and I went and sat in the car because, winter solstice duh. But i then lost track of time yelping and what not. But the cashier who cooked my pizza as well walked outside with my pizza looking for me! I felt bad but it was very impressive. I enjoyed the pizza that I had the night before but walking outside looking aimlessly for a customer. That's true customer service. I mean who comes outside looking for their customer during a pandemic and it's 48 degrees outside at 9:00 p.m. lol But not only that But the crust is the champ it has a sourdough taste to it that gives the mozzarella a nice kick in the teeth. Also the big thing for me is when you take a piece of pizza the toppings don't fall off the pie and it didn't it was solid with Valentino's Pizza. So it's a really good pizza and every time we've came the last two nights they're always cleaning being productive. Which is awesome to see at people care about their business and the work environment. And the crust past the morning after test the crust wasn't hard as a rock it was chewy just like it was when I bought it which is awesome. I look forward to going back and trying more toppings. So I decided to slide the cheese and toppings ofd. It didn't get any better. How is it possible that pizza sauce, cheese, and Italian sausage can have no flavor what so ever. I low key started thinking I have Covid lol. Then I started thinking the Cauliflower pizza must come with fake ingredients. I don't know, but I really wanted to love their pizza.
