LW Pizza met all the expectations recently when we purchased 3 legend-sized pizzas for our son's birthday party. The establishment is small but the staff gets it done and the food is good (not the best pizza you'll ever try, but good for a weeknight or group of 12 year olds). The pizzas were a hit, not just with the kids, but with the adults, too. I think there may be a table outside in addition to the two inside, but I definitely would consider this a take-out spot. The biggest banger about this place is that they have BEEF PEPPERONI and that is a game-changer for my Muslims and Jews - I guess, depending on how practicing they are...anyway!, I digress. This spot is home to the legendary 28-inch "Monster Pizza." While I was very tempted to order such a gargantuan pie, I opted for the slightly smaller 20-inch "Super Jumbo," given the size of our party. We ordered it half-and-half: the Saint Patty (pesto base, spinach, green olives, green peppers, pesto chicken, and banana peppers) and the Meat Lovers (pepperoni, sausage, ham, and salami). Though not the largest size available, the sheer scale and generous portions of the circular pie still fascinated our guests. We also added an order of Buffalo wings with ranch dressing. Both the pizza and wings were OUTSTANDING and something I would gladly order again. We serve this to family and friends and for large groups The Legend is a crowd pleaser. They're always fast and the location is the perfect size. After considering a few higher end pizza places, I went with LW Pizza for small LW combo to go. It was exactly what I was looking for - a relatively thin crust traditional pizza. I ordered the pizza in the store and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The crust was a bit crunchy and toppings all tasted fresh. read more

Dined in on 02/21/25 I don't know how many times I can review one establishment but I will keep doing so for LW pizza! I ordered a calzone for the first time ever. Ordered pepperoni and Italian sausage. There are two sizes to choose from; small which is 10" and medium which is 12". It came in a pizza box with a side of marinara sauce. Not surprising, it was delicious. The dough was baked perfectly and the temperature of the food was perfect. Hot but not too hot that I couldn't immediately enjoy my pie. Their marinara sauce. I don't know what to say about it. It's just too good. I honestly don't know if they make their own or not but whatever the case may be, I need them to sell jars of it. Like, immediately. This was just another pizza spot to try since moving to Long Beach. Theyre not that far from us, but on this particular try, we chose to have it delivered. I went through the SLICE app and got a deal on a two topping pizza. We got pepperoni and mushroom XL which was thin crust and perfect crunch at the end. I decided to try their BBQ wings and they were a bit small for my taste but they were good. The cheese bread was good and we scored by having pizza sauce in stock at our place. Yum yum ! LW pizza is a bit out my way but whenever I'm craving a pepperoni pizza I come here ! This is one of the only locations in Long Beach that carries BEEF pepperoni ! The pizza is always super fresh & crisp when I get there ! The ladies in here are always super nice & always hook me up ! I've been coming here since they opened and pleased with food and value and never said anything when they messed up two orders. Once not putting sausage on the same pizza I've ordered dozens of times, another time putting mayonnaise on my sub that I've also ordered many times. I don't mind mayonnaise but prefer it not from any place because more often then not they put too much. I never said anything about these two things because I enjoyed to local spot and appreciate small businesses. But, most recently, I do not like red onion and always order ask for 0NO onion. Also the same way I've ordered my Italian sub dozens of times, we got the sandwich home ti find out it had red onions. The whole sandwich eating world knows that you cant just remove the onion. The sandwich was inedible so we took it back only the get attitude frim both owners. We ordered two sandwiches so I guess it was to complicated for them. Luckily there are many other places nearby. Me and my family have gone to this pizza place plenty of times before, and usually the food is pretty good for the price. The service is pretty good, nice people. The place is a bit dirty but I wasn't ever one to care for that sort of thing. The BBQ chicken pizza is my favorite, and recently I purchased said pizza and was eating it at home until I found this plastic wrapping of some kind mid-bite into my pizza. It's quite a hard piece of plastic, and it disgusts me that I found this in the inside of the pizza. Instantly ruined my appetite, and although this was a one time occurrence (to my knowledge), it's still incredibly shocking to me that this happened at all. Great experience with LW Pizza. We discovered their giant pizza searching online and so glad we did! The novelty of it was impressive, sure, but damn did it taste good. We kept it simple for our one-year old's first birthday in terms of toppings - plain cheese and pepperoni - but everyone was asking where we got this amazing pizza (we had almost 100 guests) and we would definitely do it all over again. The service was awesome - I walked in a couple weeks before (which was way more in advance than they needed), paid ahead as was my preference, set a date and time, and that was it. My sisters-in-law went to pick the pies up the day of without issue and they were ready as promised. So easy, so delicious, so worth it. Also, the pricing - so reasonable! Horrible food, very rude people. I have also been asking for years for them to stop leaving flyers at my house as the two times I did order both food and service were horrible. I'm disabled and it has become a nightmare. In LB such things must be 4 ft from door and secured. They may not be left if there is a sign posted. I paid good money for a sign that prohibits soliciting and have even taken the time to list items so that it is clear. The 3rd line says (NO) "flyers/menus". The food was decent and while I liked the calzone, it wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be. And for clarity, this was a late night dinner after a few beers and pool fun, so we were hungry. The cranberry walnut salad was disappointing because it only had like 5 cranberries and barely any walnuts. It was a very sad looking salad They did make things right by giving us extra cranberries and walnuts, but the inconvenience of not having it right the first time and having to go back and get the items was frustrating.
