    White Pizza

Would be 2 stars for service but the good pizza saved them If you're looking for a good wood fire pizza, here's your place It's located at steelcraft. Which has private parking and it has street parking. It's an outdoor area with a few different food places to eat at. I came here because I wanted to try a couple different things from each place When I was leaving I went and got a pizza to go. The staff to be honest wasn't that friendly. So maybe a 2/5 for friendliness and customer service They do have some really good pizzas. You go up to the window and order then they text you when it's ready. I grabbed a seat in the meantime. Steelcraft has a bunch of picnic style benches for people to sit and eat. It's very dog friendly and kid friendly. After standing up at the window to order, which, the guy working kept looking at me but didn't say anything or acknowledge me, he finally came over but didn't say anything. Just waited for me to tell him what I wanted. Which, I went with the white pizza (he didn't speak to me until I asked him which pizza was the best out of the two I was eyeballing. Only time he spoke was to say the white pizza) After about 10 minutes I got a text saying the pizza was ready. The guy working there was still a little rude. Didn't say anything to me when I picked up the pizza from him I will say one more thing about the staff. I paid in cash and I was already putting money in the tip jar. I only had about 1 dollar and some change coming back from the 20 I gave him. And he automatically put it in the tip jar (when he saw me already putting cash in there) but, whatever I'm not sweating over a dollar and some change. But it threw me off the white pizza came with spinach. It was cheesy, they put tons of spinach on it and the crust was absolutely delicious. So 5/5 for that I really want to come back and try their margherita pizza. I did think their prices were reasonable And they do have a couple other items vs just pizza. Not many other things, but they had some salad, cannoli, bread and some sandwiches But I think it's safe to say the pizza is where they really shine. Especially the crust!!!!

$9 side of "focaccia" but was more a giant chip.

I'll start with a positive note. The service was friendly. And the dough has potential. It pains me to write a not so positive review but the more I thought about dinner the more upset I was. Upon ordering, I saw there was no kids pizza option. But a cheese pizza for $13. Ok I'll get that for the kids. And just in case, I'll get the side of focaccia bread for $9 as well. Seemed reasonably priced. After paying, she told me the wait and asked if it was ok. well... I already paid so I guess it has to be ok... The wait was 15 mins on top of what was given and everyone else in our party who didn't order pizza and had even ordered after us, had their food already and on a second round of beer. Got the food. Kids were super excited about pizza. Looked great. Well.. neither of my kids wanted it. They took a few bites and I can tell why. The dough was spread so thin it supported nothing. It was immediately soggy. And I'm not sure what type of cheese they used but it might be fat free as it tasted watered down - unless the sauce was watered down. The focaccia is what got me angry. It was spread so thin that it was literally a chip in the center. Definitely not focaccia. And no I didn't want to pay $9 for a giant chip The problem is that they spread the dough so thin it ruins everything - not using enough dough portion to support a pizza or to pretend to be a focaccia. Ending on a positive note. The dough has potential as the crust had a nice soft chewy texture. **edit: they also don't provide plates of any sort which made feeding my kids difficult.**

Ordered the Prosciutto Special, ended up with a different pizza with prosciutto on top

Not sure how I felt about this place. I've been to Steelcraft several times, but had yet to try Elios. The last time I was here, my friend ordered a pizza and it looked delicious so I decided to try it out. I understand pizza takes sometime to bake in the oven so when the lady who took my order said half an hour, I didn't blink an eye. I was pretty hungry after that half hour, so when I came to the counter again to ask if it was ready, she just simply responded apologetically, "it's not ready yet". I probably waited another 15 minutes again before returning to ask how much longer, and she had to clarify my order again (prosciutto special) which seemed ominous. Fortunately, another 10 minutes later, it was ready. However, it was the white pizza instead, and they just simply added prosciutto on top after asking if that was acceptable. At that point, I didn't really care, I was starving. I'm going to give this location the benefit of the doubt since they were really busy due to the monthly trivia night, nevertheless, I am on the fence about trying them again. The pizza was great, despite the order being wrong, however the wait, does highly reflect my opinion. Side note: I still love Steelcraft as a whole, the whole place is such a great hang out.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, GOD SAVE ELIOS. Hands down, the best pizza I have experienced here in California so far. Absolutely loving the flavor Elios brings. I've been a fan of his work since his truck father down into Los Angeles. Thankfully with this location, it's closer for me now, allowing me to visit more (Irvine bubble guy here). Don't know where to start with the flavors. I always get a margarita and add pepperoni. His dough is light, yet flavorful, with all the toppings working in harmony. I can eat two full pizzas and not feel heavy (ask me how I know). Their white pizza is also wonderful, get it sausage, and add chili flakes your self. The wood fire oven legit makes a difference in the flavor. I really think being baked this way makes a pizza feel lighter than your other pizza joints since it's not cooked in some vessel, covered in oil/butter. It's really a game changer and Elios has perfected this craft. Pizza can take a minute to get here, the location is next to other food spots, making this area a popular hang out choice. Smog City brewery is only a few steps away if you want a beer to go with it. Service is always great at any of these spots here at Steel Craft. Elios and Team are always cool. Much respect that a Hispanic guy is CRUSHING the pizza competition. You got a customer for life here. Give this place a go, you won't regret it.

Trying out the recent edition to steelcraft. I ordered a margarita pizza, took about 10 minutes to get. Pretty straightforward staff, walking up, place your order and wait for a ph text. Menu is fairly simple, not many unique pizzas. The BBQ and white varieties were available. Plenty of seating in the common areas. Pizza was not a wow home run. It was decent, they had the canned tomato sauce right behind the cashier, so, so much for fresh. But it's sufficient to pair with the beer offered in the same space.

I came to this Sunday, came to check out the different restaurants they had here. Hard to choose since all their concepts are different. But this one stood out. Specially when It was cooked on a wood oven. Love that. Service of was straight to the point, you go up and place the order , pay then wait for your order. The space is shared with other small restaurants which makes it a cool place to hang out with the friends. Definitely will be coming back!

Pizza was actually good! The crust had some tasty grease which made the pizza taste good by adding a good flavor.. soft, chewy dough with good cheese. This location is at the SteelCraft which has other food options including a brewery so it is a chill area to eat. Good for a date night to hang around.

This tasted amazing!!! I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about. I couldn't help to eat it right away. Give it a try!

Thunderbolt Pizza in Long Beach has become my go-to pizzeria. After trying a wide range of their…read moremenu, two dishes stand out above the rest: the Pizza Margherita and the Garlic Knots. Pizza Margherita - 5/5. This is a perfect example of the care and craft that go into their food. The crust strikes a rare balance - it has that signature leopard-spotted char and slight floppiness you'd expect from a Neapolitan-style pizza, but also delivers the chewiness and airy structure of a great New York-style slice. It never tips too far into being overly crispy or dry. What really sets it apart, though, is the sauce. While many pizzerias treat sauce as an afterthought, Thunderbolt clearly does not. Their tomato sauce is rich, vibrant, and juicy, with a depth of flavor that avoids being overly acidic, salty, or tannic. It enhances the pizza beautifully without overshadowing the dough, which is exactly how it should be. Garlic Knots - 5/5. - Easily some of the best I've had anywhere in LA. These are essentially bread rolls with a super chewy interior and a thin, lightly crusty exterior, served alongside their excellent marinara sauce. They're incredibly satisfying and consistently a crowd favorite. I've brought visitors from Japan, Germany, and New York, and every single one of them couldn't stop talking about these knots. My only small critique is that I wish they had used fresh garlic instead of canned, which would have taken them to an even higher level. Still, even as they are, they're outstanding. Overall, Thunderbolt Pizza delivers thoughtful, high-quality food that stands out in a crowded pizza scene. It's the kind of place you keep coming back to--not just because it's good, but because it's consistently memorable.

When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. We got there probably 15min after we ordered and grabbed two cokes while we waited. I tried to pay with cash and was told he might not have change to give me. I said that was ok even though it's pretty lame that you don't keep change in your register. He happened to find a very large coin bag and made me change. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. The guy that rang us up came over and said, "sorry something happened to your pizza it'll be another 20min or so". At this point we had already been waiting about 15 min for the pizza. So we said ok because we were starving. One of the employees asked us if we drank wine we said no we didn't and that's why we were drinking cokes. He said, "ohh, okayyyy..." and gave us a very judgmental look. Like sir, you don't know why we aren't drinking. We also kind of figured he wanted to give us a few beverage for the mix up. But that was the end of it. We heard someone say our name and we asked if ours was ready and one girl acted like we were being impatient while waiting. Like we didn't just wait over a half hour for food. Finally our pizza was done after a total of 40 min and there was very minimal apology for the delay. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something.
