We had a great time to find some new hand care products @Lather and went to discover an authentic italian restaurant which lots of Yelpers mentioned. My wife said, we have to order at the front, then they bring the foods to the table but the owner took our orders, and brought the foods so fast just like other Italian restaurant. We love meat lasagna, pasta w bolonese sauce, and some flat breads like appetizer pizza. We ordered 3, lasagna, tagliatelle bolonese, flat bread sandwich called Cassone w sausage, bell pepper, onions. I had some italian red wine per glass ($14). First, I loved so much my lasagna and kept eating until finish my entire portion. I give 10 stars. My wife's pasta, she said pasta is too thick, might be on purpose? She likes soft, thin texture handmade tagliatelle. For the first time, we ordered flat bread sandwich. The sandwich flavor was good, but not the dough for flat bread. Well, we tried here for the 1st time after shopping. Today was almost 81 this afternoon. Hot and humid.....unluckily AC was broken so he opened the entrance door. One big fly bothered a lot annoying us eating the foods. And so hot inside restaurant. Overall, I liked my lasagna a lot, not really tagliatelle bolonese, nor the flat bread sandwich. If AC was working during lunch time. We felt much comfortable to enjoy our foods. One thing, I loved the red wine but the portion was not enough for $14. Even my wife said, not much for this price. I got 2 glasses of italian red wine, not enough. The view was great ocean side from the patio. This is a strong point eating here for the view. My wife saw the live pasta cooking show, a chef made the pasta, stretching the pasta dough in the kitchen....great show! Fun! Hopefully AC runs well especially hot summer season, the portions of pastas and wines might be more generous for the future.

The restaurant is small but has such a cozy atmosphere, with just enough tables to feel intimate without being cramped. My husband and I ordered the uni cream pasta and the bolognese - the uni pasta was delicious, rich and briny with that unmistakable uni flavor coming through, however it was a bit too heavy by the end but still worth trying though if you're a fan of uni! The bolognese on the other hand was ABSOLUTELY delicious, probably top 3 pastas I've had in my life. It was really flavorful and you could tell it had been simmered for quite a while, and the wine flavor really complimented the whole dish so well without being overpowering. Both pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and honestly left me wanting more. The chef actually came out and brought us our pastas himself, which was such a kind and personal touch. You could tell he genuinely cared about the food and the experience he was giving us and little details like that made the whole meal feel even more special. Overall such a great find, and I'm so glad I finally checked it out after hearing the hype. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu!

The pasta is all handmade, and you can genuinely taste the difference in both quality and flavor. The noodles have that fresh, slightly chewy texture that packaged pasta just does not have, and everything tastes carefully made rather than mass produced. The bolognese is spectacular: deep, rich, meaty, and comforting without feeling overwhelmingly heavy. It is the kind of dish that makes you slow down because every bite is worth paying attention to. The salads are also surprisingly substantial. The chopped salad, in particular, is a generous portion and packed with flavor, so it feels like a real part of the meal instead of an afterthought. Save room for the tiramisu, which is very good: creamy, balanced, and a great finish after the richer pasta. The only downside is the ambiance. The interior is tiny, so when it gets busy it can feel hectic and cramped. Still, the service is amazing, friendly, attentive, and impressively efficient despite the limited space inside.

You get some restaurant quality cooked to order pasta at a decent price. Seriously not a lot of complaints here. I got some penne arrabbiata and it definitely brought the heat. Pastaphony bills itself as "Where pasta gets a personality."…read more Judging from the fiery heat that blasted outtve my plentiful order of Pasta Arrabbiata, I'd venture that my particular entree's personality was, indeed, zesty and irascible...to the point of inedible. On this particular weeknight, your favorite Yelp correspondent was pivoting in and out of Glendora's Food Hall like a metronome, ferrying a quartet of meals from the hall for my wee Uber gig. Pastaphony caught my attention within moments of nesting my customer's order into my insulated carrier- my SUV's cabin was redolent of cheese, tomatoes and overall hone-cooked goodness! I went with Pasta Arrabbiata, then customized my order by adding a breaded chicken breast, black olives, onions, roasted peppers and shaved parmesan. On the plus side, Pastaphony gives ample portions- My entree weighed almost as much as a two-item combo platter from your friendly neighborhood Chinese takeout place! And, while the dish took me to Flavortown...unfortunately it was the Mojave Desert, with its scorching flavor profile and intense, spicy taste. The star of the dish was the breaded chicken cutlet and the shaved parm, but since the penne pasta overwhelmed the chicken/parm by an eight to one ratio...this was a difficult dish to finish. Context- As the acknowledged "lightweight" in a family of folks who typically relish spicy food, I asked my wife to sample my dish. She was born in Michoacacan and regularly quaffs homegrown Serrano and Habanero peppers like they're ice. Even she was surprised by how utterly spicy my pasta dish was! My entree cost $26.39 after taxes, a wee steep for a single protein pasta dish. By comparison, you can spend $1 more at any Johnny Carinos or Olive Garden and get a three-item combo with bread and/or salad accompaniments. So I wasn't satisfied by the "value for money" question, either. This experienced reviewer probably ordered the WDD (Wrong Damn Dish) but at their prices (a side of garlic bread or breadsticks is $10.99!) one os hesitant to retake the plunge.

I think I was a little hesitant because in my head I was thinking how good could possibly really be? In my head spaghetti/pasta is something I can make it home and almost thought it a waste of money to go out of my way to go out specifically to eat this dish. I ordered the Arrabiata pasta with the sausage. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by added cost of each tolling and also added cost of the Arrabiata sauce and I also did wait until a fair amount before the food was ready for takeout. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time. Anyways, I'm giving my review of a five star because I wanna see this place succeed and I'll definitely come back .
