Kaiserschmarrn

We booked a reservation to have dinner here on a Friday night as part of our LA trip. Great ambiance, impeccable service, the owner Barbara was very friendly and even came to greet us at our table. Having said that, some of the food was a bit of a let down for the price: 1) amuse bouche 4/5: it was some savory sweet raspberries in a nest come, good blend of flavors 2) salmon pizza 2/5: the cream cheese sauce and salmon, caviar toppings were good. The pizza itself was very unique. But the crust was dry like cracker and hard to eat, it was cold and reminded me of frozen pizza. It should have came with a dip. 3) schnitzel 4/5: as someone who doesn't like schnitzel, this dish was very good. The bearded fried chicken reminded me a bit of mcnuggets. The side dishes of coleslaw cucumber, vinegar potatoes and tomatoes were divine. The serving size was rly big so we were able to split this dish. 4) kaiserschmarrn 3/5: vanilla souffle on a bed of strawberries, compote, and ice cream. Not very sweet, so get this if that's your thing. I thought this was just ok but my husband rly loved this. Total came to $175 before tips which is def pricey.

Spago is one of my favorite restaurants in SoCal. The walls live and breathe LA history, the wine list is one of the best in the country, the cocktails are fresh, the service is super suave, and the food is sophisticated, it's not old fashioned or stolid, Spago has been worthy of a Michelin Star for a long time. The ingredients are hyper-seasonal, there's always this distinct Wolfgang-ian fusion between Asia and Europe and California, and with Byron's recent overhaul of the menu (especially their new California Story tasting menu), it is better than ever. Pro Tip, go to The Maybourne Lobby Bar across the street before dinner!!!

Spago is Soago!! Lovely dinner experience! Enjoyed the appetizer bread BOX and the complimentary appetizer! Then we moved on to BRANzINO which melted in your mouth - so so good w ginger and balsamic reduction!! Like candy!!! The lobster pasta was also amazing! Finally topped it off w an array of cookies for dessert! And the drink glasses were so cute!!

Another pleasant evening catching up with two longtime friends at Spago. the service is consistently top-notch, the ambiance is elegant yet inviting, and the food is, of course, delicious. It's one of those special places where you can truly settle in, enjoy great conversation, and spend a beautiful evening with good friends. Always a pleasure to return.

Just wow! This experience was everything and more. I took my son to LA for his graduation trip. I wanted to have the experience of a lifetime including dinner at a fancy restaurant. I decided on Spago with hopes of an exceptional meal and the possibility of seeing someone famous. We arrived and were greeted promptly with a great table. The service was impeccable. We started with the bread basket. My son ordered the truffle pizza. I ordered the squid ink pasta with lobster. For dessert we ordered the box of chocolates. We were surprised that we were brought two chocolate chip cookies to celebrate graduation! As we were waiting outside for our valet, I saw paparazzi. Lo and behold, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kris' mom hopped out of the vehicle they were riding in. Pretty exciting all around and the hopes I had for our evening all came true!

Spago is one of those iconic Beverly Hills restaurants that still holds up as a great dining experience, even if it's evolved over the years. It has that classic Wolfgang Puck energy and a dining room that still feels special, with a steady mix of regulars and longtime fans. I usually start with the bread box, but it seems like when I dine there most people start the meal with the pizza and scones along with the bread box. The bread box is warm and simple in the best way, and the scones are light, buttery, and one of those signature touches that people always seem to order right away. It all sets a strong tone for the table. For pizza, the salmon pizza is really the signature and what the restaurant is most known for. It's delicate, flavorful, and very well balanced, and it stands out as one of the more unique items on the menu. The vegetarian pizzas are also a great option, especially with white or black truffle, which add a richer aroma and depth without feeling too heavy. They also offer a tasting menu, which the restaurant is known for, but it is very extensive and more of a long, multi-course experience than something I usually go for. For entrées, I'm usually between the pasta dishes and the Jidori chicken. Both are consistently well executed and reliable, and it really just comes down to what I feel like that night. One thing that really drives me a little crazy here though is when the waiter says not to order the same entrée as your date. It's something I've heard on multiple occasions and I honestly still don't really get it. It feels unnecessary because at the end of the day, I just want to order what I want to eat. Parking is always easy and convenient with street parking, nearby parking structures, or valet all available and simple to use. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé is a must, and the cookies are also really good. If you don't order dessert, on some occasions they will even send something complimentary to go, which is a really nice touch. The restaurant overall still has a strong presence, a loyal crowd, and a level of hospitality that feels polished but welcoming. It's not unusual to see Wolfgang Puck or Barbara around the room greeting guests, which adds to the experience. The only real downside has been occasional overbooking, including one instance with a long wait past reservation time, but that has been rare. Overall, it remains a polished, classic Beverly Hills dining experience with a few signature dishes that still make it worth visiting. Cool fact: Arnold Schwarzenegger is a long time patron.

My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner here at Spago. I made reservations just to be safe and were seated right away. The service was amazing !!! The food exceptional and the best part was meeting chef Wolfgang Puck. Wow Wow Wow ... he is so friendly, took a picture with us and thanked us for being here. Everything we ordered was amazing. The salmon pizza is a must and the pastas were flavorful and tasteful. The Caesar salad was perfectly made so was the branzino fish. Amazing surprise dessert for us to celebrate What a great experience for us, loved every minute of it. Will be back again for sure for another beautiful dinner....

It was my first time here and I came here for my birthday. I never heard of this restaurant. I looked on ig, yelp; and the website and it was literally right up my alley. Fancy restaurant and great quality pictures....they give me Europe vibes. Conrad, the host was so professional and very inviting. We got set right away. The only thing I was a little bummed about was that the menu online isn't the menu they have in person. The host let me know if there was something wrong with the website. It was limited options, but I do like they have an amuse bouche tasting course and then in all the cart side. I started with the truffle fries, which are absolutely delicious and then I got the 36 ounce steak. These are big juicy pieces and they cut it for you table side. I love the wine sauce it comes with. I also got the cannoli caviar and something about me is that I love caviar. This place is definitely expensive taste I think we spent almost $1000 here. We each got two cocktails and then a tequila chilled shot. I got the Hanuto and he got Pinot. The valet was also nice gentlemen as only $20 I believe. The dark soufflé was pretty good, but I was hoping for something more dense however, the chocolate candies at the bottom was so tasty and a good crunch. They also have a hidden menu with Margarita pizza, tuna cones, cheesey potato, and more... oh and steak that came with cheese potatoes and they were a little too cheesy for me, but it was an experience to see a big cheese pull

Beautiful restaurant! Great server- shoutout to our busboy he was so sweet. Caviar cannoli worth the hype. Singaporean sea bass was really good- fried but not heavy. The dessert was this super light and airy meringue with some ice cream.

We tried the Innovation Menu at Spago Beverly Hills, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The restaurant itself is beautiful--elegant yet welcoming--and perfectly situated in the heart of Beverly Hills. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. We dined with our 6-month-old baby, and he went above and beyond to make sure our baby was comfortable, even bringing over a chair so we could safely place the car seat. We ordered the 10-course tasting menu, which made for a long and leisurely dinner. The staff was so accommodating to our family--they even prepared simple pasta and kids' food for our boys to keep them happy and occupied, which we really appreciated. As for the food--everything was outstanding. Highlights included the Dungeness crab, the smoked burrata ravioli, Alaskan halibut, Wolfe Ranch quail, and the braised Angus short rib. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Spago truly delivers not only on fine dining but also on hospitality. It's rare to find a Michelin-level restaurant that is also so family-friendly. We felt genuinely taken care of and would absolutely return.

I have been meaning to write a review for some time now... This restaurant has always been very consistent with their serve and their excellent food. The ambiance is beautiful and classy. Definitely a culinary experience. I usually always leave with some sort of upset stomach when I go out to dinner, it never fails! But, this place, the quality and the attention to everyone's dietary restriction, they take it to the next level. Normally when going into a restaurant, they hate to "accommodate" or a lot of the times you will hear or read "no substitution". Only if you have a serious allergy of some sort of medical will they modify, and when they do modify, the food is either bland or not even worth eating at all... Kudos for your superb customer service! Thank you for the memorable meal! (I have gluten and diary intolerant). The food is phenomenal in every way, the only thing I would change is the entrees, it's so rich maybe suggest or pair with some sort of acidic sides to cut some of the richness. Food: Appetizers: *Gluten free brioche - amazing! Can't tell it was gluten free. The only complaint, it was a little burnt. *Kenter Canyon Farms Winter Chicories- wow, great salad. * Japanese "Buri" Yellowtail Sashimi*- very fresh and very tasty * Charred Cara Cara Orange- wow, you would never think orange is a good paring but it's execution of utilizing seasonal fruit like orange compared to the original melon combo, real burst of freshness and different way of eating something so simple as prosciutto. *salad *duck - not my favorite dish but still very good- suggested temp medium rare (a bit on the cold side and tough when cooked so rare) Entrees - *Italian White Truffles Tagliatelle Pasta - this was good but for the price, I would say on the smaller side and very little truffles. It was very rich and 1 of our favorites. (Still we prefer Ill Pisatio's truffle tagliatello with their generous portion of truffles and table side parmesan wheel drunken pastas before serving. Fresh pasta and imported Italian "00" flour for those who are not celiac, gluten intolerant, can ingest this pasta) *Crispy Scale Black Sea Bass*- wow, love how they crisp the skin! My kid's favorite! Very delicate morsel with rich burst of flavors in your mouth. * Snake River Farms American Wagyu New York Striploin*- rich, melt in your mouth steak. Very close to Japanese Wagyu steak. The best part of the dinner. It was so rich that you can only really have a few slices. This could have been paired with something vinegary to help cut the richness... Dessert: *coconut sorbet - the best creamiest sorbet I have ever tasted. I first wasn't going to order this.., thinking "another sorbet..." but no, this is the best sorbet I have ever tasted. Get it! *basque cheesecake - very creamy cheese cake. It was good but nothing super special... Will be back soon! Worth the long drive to dinner.

Memorable birthday dinner with amazing food and standout service energy I went to Spago Beverly Hills for a late birthday dinner, and overall it was a wonderful experience. I'd had a long work day and honestly wasn't even in the mood to go out, but our main server (an older gentleman -- I wish I remembered his name!) truly turned the night around. His energy was warm, genuine, and made the experience feel special from start to finish. He even brought me a small taster to start, such a thoughtful touch that didn't go unnoticed. The food: We started with the tuna tartare cones, which were perfectly crisp, light, and full of fresh ginger flavor. The corn agnolotti pasta was next-level: super fresh, silky handmade noodles with a beautiful sage brown butter sauce. I ordered the duck breast, which was cooked perfectly tender and juicy, though I personally found the sauce a little too smoky and overpowering. I would've loved a touch of sweetness or brightness to balance it out, but the duck itself was fantastic and a generous portion. My partner ordered the Jidori chicken, and it was equally delicious! juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Drinks & atmosphere: I ordered an old fashioned the flavor was great, though it wasn't as spirit-forward as I expected. Still tasty, just a bit lighter than usual. The overall vibe of the restaurant was elegant but relaxed you definitely feel the legacy and attention to detail that Wolfgang Puck restaurants are known for. Service notes: While the first gentleman who greeted and served us set an amazing tone , very personable, warm, and professional...the energy shifted a bit later in the night when our main server changed over. The new server felt a little disengaged and dry, and while I appreciated him bringing out the birthday card, he asked me to spell my name and still spelled it completely wrong. It wasn't a big deal, but small details like that do matter, especially when it's a birthday celebration at such a well-known restaurant. Even so, I left happy, full, and grateful for the experience. The food, presentation, and hospitality made it a memorable evening. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! Just wow from start to finish. This place was on my bucket list for my first trip to California and it did not disappoint! The service was impeccable. The bar and dining areas ( we sat in the garden area) are beautiful. The apps were incredible and i enjoyed every second. Worth every penny. TY Spago for making my trip ! We had such a pleasant time and were present I did not get food pics LOl but trust me!

Last minute trip to Beverly Hills so we have no reservations. Is it even worth trying to get a seating at the bar for 2 or coming by waiting for a table on a Saturday night? Or would that be a complete waste of time.

Hard to tell 100% 😬. There are also Louka (Greek) and E. Baldi (Italian), both excellent, on the same street. So maybe if you can't get into Spago's, you can find a place at the other ones. But I love Spago's, even at the bar.

How long does one usually spend here?

100-150 dollars per person, without counting drinks.

Do they change menu in Summer? I wanted to try the wagyu and i saw before they have wagyu sliders.. is this still availablei want all sorts of wagyu dish they make?

The menu changes often but you should call and ask about the wagyu, seems like one of the products they might continue to keep on the menu. Email them. I got an awesome/ quick response today when I asked about a menu item.

Does their patio allow small dogs?

I'm not sure. I don't think so.

Do they have any all organic options?

How are they operating during COVID?

The city of BH closed off Canon Drive on the corner of Wilshire Blvd to make Spago the end of a cul de sac so they can operate a curbside dining experience in addition to their patio area. Its really great so they accommodate more patrons without…

Is there a corkage fee?

Our corkage fee is $50 per bottle with a maximum of 2 bottles for any wine not already offered on our wine list.

How far in advance can we make reservations? I tried to make reservations for May but the site said nothing available so I am thinking that month isn't open yet.

About 60 days out.

What is tbe tax on the bill other then tips?

Telecommunications, Broadcast and Electronic Services

Are there a good amount of gluten free options?

Yes, they have pretty good options. Just make sure the server is aware, they modified a couple of dishes for a celiac friend.

Do they have live music?

No,they don't have

Any dress code requirement?

Like most of LA restaurants, it's not super dressy. I would avoid tennis shoes and t-shirts. Best bet is business casual...

Is there a private room?

I believe there is depending on the party count.

How long does it take to get a reservation?

Site says 24-48 hours but I've made same day reservations before

First, the atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone seems to want a table on the patio, but i found it a bit overrated. It felt crowded and loud, and there aren't really any views to justify the hype. The booths inside, especially near the bar, are cozy, stylish, and have a great vibe. I'd recommend sitting inside instead. The margaritas were excellent. We tried the classic and pink lemonade margaritas, and both were delicious. Definitely a highlight. For food, I had the mushroom fajitas, which were really tasty, and my friend had the filet mignon fajitas and ate every bite. The sides were less impressive. The esquites were mediocre, with an overly salty, almost gamey flavor that I didn't enjoy. The chips arrived warm, crispy, and perfectly salted, but the salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce. For a restaurant at this price point, I'd expect much better salsa. Our bill was around $250 for four margaritas, two fajita entrees, and the esquites. That felt pretty steep, particularly given the portion sizes and that one entree was vegetarian. But it is Beverly Hills. All in all, I'd go back. The atmosphere is fun, the margaritas are fantastic, and the fajitas were delicious. Just know you're paying a premium for the location.

The best dining experience in Beverly Hills I've ever had!…read more From the moody decor to the food to the service, everything was so well curated and refined. The caviar omakase is the must order thing here. Everything is very small bites, but if you are mostly there for drinks then à la carte is a good option. It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. It took over an hour for our food to come out. He also hardly checked in on our table, and we had to ask for drink refills instead of them being offered. At one point, he even spilled food on our table, and overall the service felt inattentive and dismissive. We also had to remind him multiple times that we were celebrating a birthday, which was frustrating considering it was supposed to be a special dinner. For the type of restaurant Dante presents itself as, I expected much better service. Waiting over an hour for our food would have been frustrating on its own, but the lack of communication and the attitude from our waiter made the experience significantly worse. Unfortunately, the service really put a damper on what was supposed to be a birthday celebration.

We had reservations for a Sunday night and were seated at the best table in the house. This speakeasy cocktail lounge is small & dimly lit, which creates a cozy & intimate atmosphere. The Polynesian inspired décor is on point. Bamboo beaded curtains, thatched lamps, tropical prints, & an eight-foot tiki statue add to the charm. Our server Sean was fantastic with a capital F! He entertained us the entire evening. Of course, Tiki cocktails served in kitschy glassware are the main attraction but they also offer Island inspired dishes if you are hungry. (You can also order food from Tail O' The Pup downstairs.) The building was once the recording studio for The Doors, so we had to order The Ghost of Jim Morrison. Sean delivered the flaming drink while singing a Doors tune. Elvis in Hawaii arrived on a platter with an Elvis head on it. Lucky Tiki Old Fashioned was presented in a treasure chest with smoke coming out of it. The Flying Fish came in a cool Blowfish vessel. The Lucky Mai Tai was one of the best, the Classic Daiquiri was nicely balanced, and the Rum Barrel packed a punch. All the drinks were tasty and strong so we ordered a few nibbles: Coconut Shrimp, Lucky Orange Chicken, & Wok-Fried Chow Mein. The food was yummy and hit the spot. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the presentation of the drinks and ambience. Thank you Sean for making our visit to Lucky Tiki a 5-star experience. *Metered street parking.

Once you do, there's a little puzzle to solve to actually get inside. Not going to spoil it as it is pretty easy to figure out. Once inside, the vibe changes to full tiki and the experience begins. The drinks are strong, but also flavorful as they tend to come with tropical flavors to pair with the different rums and other spirits. We tried a plethora of cocktails offer the night amongst six of us. I'd say a good half of them tasted watered down, as if the ice was melting too fast. And they are usually over filled with ice, for presentation. You can also order food at the table, which comes from the hot dog restaurant below the tiki bar, so that's a nice touch to add a little sustenance to your drinking. Drinks come out as ordered, but the bar is usually full so they can take a while to get to the table. Just an FYI. Lucky Tiki is a fun bar with creative cocktails and little shows with some of the drinks, but too many tasted watered down (again, a lot of ice in the drinks). But the vibe is fun and it's a nice spot to come to with a group of friends.

Each sandwich compentent and layer made this a memorable sandwich. The pepper was spicy enough that complemented the rich and flavorful wagyu cheesesteak filling. The sesame roll added a nice texture, and it was sturdy enough to keep the filling intact with each bite. The chips (4 stars) were delicious that came with the cheesesteak. My brother and I also shared an order of fries (4 stars) that is cooked beef tallow like Hiho. The Aged Pear Martini (5 stars) cocktail was refreshing. The bartender warned it's sweet, but I thought it had the right amount of sweetness. We arrived just before the dinner rush. The bar gets busy fulfilling drink orders for the entire restaurant and serving cheesesteaks. The service was 4 stars. I would definitely return.

The manager was kind to bring a hot plate so that we can make our steaks more cooked and warm. Garlic bread was surprisingly good, the best dish we tried. The mushroom and spinach were good but slightly too salty too. It was crowded when we got there for dinner so had to wait for our food to come. But service was still 10/10 :).

It strikes that perfect balance between intimate and lively, making it ideal for a date night or an evening out with friends. They also have a little hangout area toward the back that I unfortunately didn't get a chance to explore. Overall: Delicious food, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. A place I'd return to, especially to explore more of their cocktail menu! If hungry you can order Pizza from your seat through a bar code and pick it up next door! The Al Capone is worth trying if you are into spice! One thing to keep in mind is that parking appears to be somewhat limited. I only noticed street parking, although there may be additional options nearby that I wasn't aware of. Definitely something to consider when planning your visit.

What's left is a joyless little room with indifferent management and service that can feel actively hostile. It can get very crowded, but... The energy is just off. It no longer feels warm or welcoming, and the type of crowd it attracts now can make the cramped space feel actually menacing. The staff also becomes strangely abrasive and aloof. Especially the younger male bartender who works on Fridays. I would never go again. Even trying to order another drink somehow feels like you're inconveniencing them. It's genuinely sad how they've managed to ruin what used to be a good thing. There is absolutely no reason to put up with this place when you could go to Cecconi's, the Tower Bar, Bar 1200 at the Sunset Marquis, Jones Hollywood, Laurel Hardware, Ysabel, the Roger Room, On the Rox, or Mic's instead. The name a few! Any one of them will give you a better room, a better atmosphere, and a much better evening. TBH, I would rather endure the mechanical-bull chaos of Saddle Ranch than spend another night dealing with the bizarre vibe here. That alone should tell you everything. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
