Very decent Thai street food spot! Their Pad Kra Pao was nice and spicy. The Thai Tea was also flavorful and not overly sweet.

Lots of great spots to dine at the Waterworks Food Hall and I was just feeling like Thai at the moment to go... Sorry no great shot of the food as I did take out so here's a shot in the car. The food was a good with a bit of kick to it, I ordered their featured drunken noodle. I think I still perfect the tang of a classic pad Thai more though. Anywho, this spot is really central downtown and I was able to easily grab a parking spot underground. Albeit a bit pricy but it is what it is downtown. At least it was easy to find a spot, which is especially great if you're considering hosting events here at the Waterworks.

First time at Waterworks and was overwhelmed with all the food options. I ended up getting a pad thai with shrimp at SOI and was so happy with my decision. The pad thai was perfect cooked, the "medium" spice level was the right amount of kick to it. It was no additional cost to get shrimp as my protein and it came with atleast 6-7 shrimps. This was $20 after tax but all the other stall's pricing were more or less around $20 for a meal.

I ordered the peanut pasta after hearing raving reviews on it from social media. It consists of a protein of your choice thats bedded in panko and deep fried. The protein and some veggies sits on top of rice noodles and is drenched in their peanut sauce. I selected the tofu as protein. Overall, really tasty at first bite but really overwhelming and heavy after a while. As well, i went with the medium spicy which is the 2nd spice level of 6 I believe and it was extremely spicy to the point that i could not finish it. The staff offered to remake it without any spice for me which i appreciated. As someone who frequently eats spicy food, i am shocked at how spicy it was and wonder if anyone can even handle the highest spicy level.

For many in our party of five, this was their first meal in Toronto (it was my first dinner). Most…read moreof them said this really set the bar high for meals in Toronto especially since we were going to Niagara the next day and they expected mediocre touristy food. We ordered the tapioca dumplings, papaya fritters, beef massaman curry, nam khao, drunken noodles w chicken, mok pa, and watermelon salad. Overall I think the food was good although some items were a skip (drunken noodles and watermelon salad). For a cheaper price I've had more delicious drunken noodles, these were just fine. The watermelon salad was literally cut watermelon lol please. However, the rest of the food was really good. My top three items were the tapioca dumplings, nam khao, and beef massaman curry, in that order. I have had delicious tapioca dumplings in Madison, WI and have been chasing those item for years now and this really delivered. I love nam khao and have had various versions - this isn't the best I've had (I had a phenomenal one in Chicago) but it was still sooooo good. Beef massaman curry exceeded my (low/neutral) expectations. Service was incredible, the waitress was so nice and helpful. It is a fun decor in there as well and so much bigger than I thought it would be (tbf I didn't have a specific expectation, but it does have many rooms).

I'm definitely coming back here!…read more We ordered the Tapioca dumplings, the beef messemen curry, and the mango and purple sticky rice. Wow! It was all so tasty. The tapioca dumplings are unlike anything I've tasted before. They serve it with a side of lettuce, mint and peanuts. I liked the dumplings better without the sides they served! The lettuce and other add ons dim the flavors of the dumplings. So I prefer just eating the dumplings straight on. The Messemen curry was so flavorful and the beef was so tender! I'm a big fan. If you're a fan of Thai curries then you'll definitely like this! The Mango purple sticky rice dessert was also really tasty! It had a tasty coconut sorbet and it all went really well together. Service was good, food came out quickly, vibes were good. No complaints here!

A bit on the pricier end, but the food was great so I can't complain!…read more The gai lan with pork belly was my favorite! It was garlicky and the pork belly was still crispy. I would probably try the tofu option next time though as the pork belly was a bit too heavy/fatty for me. Not pictured, but we also got a lychee lime juice which was refreshing and not too sweet. It had a very natural and not artificial lychee flavor which stood out to me. Our server was also super friendly and attentive. He was quick to collect our food ordef and it also came out in a timely manner. He also checked in on us regularly. We had a reservation so we did not have an issue with the wait. If you're in a time crunch I would definitely consider making a res.

Sat on the patio since the sun was shining and good moods all around! We got there juuuuuust before the lunchtime crowd started. It does get busy, small line ups at time. We kept it simple and ordered Pad See Ew and a chicken curry (spicy) The Pad See Ew was order with tofu and it was yummy. The noodles were the perfect chewy, the sauce was an instant love of umami goodness The chicken curry was flavourful and spicy and trust, there were lots of chicken in it. Service was quick and friendly, the food - fabulous, the atmosphere was fun. Can see why several years awards a Michelin star.

We made a reservation for a weekday lunch. The restaurant was busy but not packed…read more I definitely recommend ordering to share rather than eating only one of something. I found the dishes to be quite heavy-handed on the seasoning (borderline too salty), so the variety helps. Panang Curry - very flavorful, slightly sweet, and very savory. Had a nice kick to it! Som Tum Tod (fried papaya salad) - ordered it because it was their signature but I thought it was too salty and crunchy. And I got kind of tired of the fried aspect of it. Wished I ordered the fresh papaya salad instead. The heat and garlic is nice though. Decently sized portion so you can share it with the whole table. Pad Woonsen Cha-Om (Minced Pork & glass noodle, egg, garlic and acacia leaves) - my first time trying this dish! It was really good! It kind of filled the role of "fried rice" to me, mellowing out all of the stronger flavours of the other dishes. Still quite flavourful on its own too. Felt like a Thai-spin on the Korean dish, Japchae. Kai Yang (grilled chicken) - oh my gosh the sauce this chicken comes with is TO DIE FOR. I want to buy it or learn how to make it. It's so fragrant, fresh, spicy, aromatic, and just the right amount of fishy and acidic. We were very full sharing these 4 dishes between 3 people. For the fact that this is Michelin Bib Gourmand, I think it is well-priced and a great place to try!
