This is not my first time at Eat BKK and I always love the food. This time I went to the to yonge and sheppard location. The place is not too big but it is cozy. Staff are very friendly and service of food is fast but super fresh. Price is reasonable. Definitely recommended.

Impressed! I ordered the following items for take out. #1. Pad Kee Mao(Beef, Spicy): Loved the texture of the flat rice noodle. Bouncy, not over cooked. Leaves the chewy bouncy texture even when it was take-out. The beef was tender, perfect thick/thinness and integrates so well with the noodle's texture. The distinct spice sensation hits gradually and gently, not overpowering other flavors. The overall taste was simple, subtle yet deep. The dish looks ordinary but tastes exceptionally. #2. Karee Soft Shell Crab We tried many different places that serve this menu. EAT BKK is the best so far. Many places that we had tried before had heavy "crab flavored" gravy with one or a few small skinny pieces of soft shell crabs. But here at EAT BKK, the crabs were meaty, generous and less gravy. Crabs play the leading part of the whole dish. Delicious and genuine! Judging from these two dishes - I want to come back! Soon!

Got take out from this restaurant and when I saw the containers, I thought they looked pretty small. However, I was definitely proven wrong because they were packed full and I couldn't even finish 1 dish by myself. We tried the Pad kee Mao with crispy pork, Pad kaprao kai Dao with chicken, and the Islamic noodle with braised beef. We ordered them at either the mild or medium spicy level. The mild was really no spice, but the medium had a great kick. All the dishes tasted amazing, but my favourite out of the three was the Islamic noodle. The noodles had really good texture and the medium spice level was on point! There were even two more spicier levels to choose from. I may give that a try next time, but I felt the medium spice level struck a good balance.

So having declared Chiang Rai the best thai food in Markham and Isaan Der the best thai place in Richmond Hill, my gf and I were on the hunt for some thai food again in North York after a summer yelp event nearby. And would you happen to know, we stumbled on the best thai place in North York! Tucked away next to Hero Burger at Yonge and Sheppard in a tiny unit which stretches back. You walk in and the ventilation is not great haha (it's quite humid). The drinks are definitely way more worth it in terms of value compared to it's other counterparts (they're big). I ordered a thai iced green tea and it was very refreshing! Not sweet at all. Crispy pork pad thai: It's not often you find crispy pork belly as an option for pad thai at places, so we opted to try. The pork was crackly, succulent and fatty. The noodles were nice and strong on the tamarind flavour. This was a great pad thai. Si Lom Thai Bistro (downtown) is the only other thai place I know that has a unique protein option (soft shell crab) for pad thai. Khao soi w/ chicken (mild): The broth is really, really good here. That being said, does it beat the broth at Pai Northern Thai (downtown) or Isaan Der's in Richmond Hill? Nahh. One tier below hehe. They put a lot of chicken in it though. So that's bonus marks. Service was excellent! There was always at least 1 server wandering around to collect empty plates/dishes and provide extra utensils/napkins. The other thing I absolutely loved was 15% CASH DISCOUNT. Bruhhhh that's so good. I think I'll pay a visit to the other BKK Thai location next time as their menu seems like it has a lil couple, extra items on it that this location doesn't have.

Every EAT BKK seem to be slightly different, and this place's kana moo krob seems to be the best of all EAT BKKs!

What we had: Pineapple fried rice yaowarad $16.45 Karee soft shell crab (pu pa pong karee) $26.95 Thai iced tea $5.95 Mango matcha $6.95 (supposed to be orange, but they ran out of it) Taste: 4/5 The karee soft shell crab was served with turmeric curry paste stir fry with egg, bell pepper and onion - a very delish and well-seasoned combo. The pineapple fried rice was mid. It'd be nice to have more pineapple to bring out the refreshing kind of taste. Vibe: 3.5/5 The resto was clean and had some cute little Thai decors around the place. Service: 4.5/5 The servers were nice, friendly and attentive.

Ordered the Thai ice tea and Khao soi. Tea was in a nice jar and was ok but too much ice imo, watered it down bad. As for the noodle soup, it was really flavourful and I really enjoyed all the variety of toppings. The mini garlic chips, raw onions, pickles and beans pouts were great adds. The soup had good creamy consistency and the coconut milk flavour really shined. Noodles were overcooked imo, not enough alienate chew.

Ambiance: A small establishment located in a great location. The inside is decorated very nice. There are window pictures of all the places which make Thailand special. The ceilings is covered in bamboo light fixtures. Food: Paneng Curry- this was indeed a curry. I say that because its always so different depending on the place I try it. This particular one didn't have any thick pieces of nuts. It was tasty. Pad thai: this really needed a bit of heat. Khao Soi: this was really delicious, enriched with flavors. Mango Sticky Rice: this was the reason we visited and it did not disappoint. It was tasty Service: the food was served very quickly, they were attentive and even had a great promotion in the store during our time of visit.

    Fried morning glory

This location is easily walkable from Yonge and Sheppard station, which is a good thing as there are only two parking spaces out front. Recommend coming by transit! We ordered the Fried Morning Glory and Basil Crispy Pork Kai Dao to share, and it was a lot of food for two people. The morning glory portion was very generous, so I would recommend for a sharing appetizer. Crispy and light, it is a fresh start to the meal. The Kai Dao was good, but was missing flavors that would clearly identify it as Thai cuisine. Not sure if their air conditioning was down or if they don't have one, but it was a hot day and the space felt humid and muggy. Didn't help that there was no airflow. Maybe it was intentional to make you feel like you were in Thailand?

I came here on a hot day with hopes to bask in some air conditioning and Thai food. But alas no A/C. It's actually hotter inside than it was outside! But we made a decision and paid for parking already so we stayed to eat. We were seated at the front table and instantly noticed how incredibly sticky the table was! It's probably made by 3M. The napkins, cups, everything got stuck to it. I mentioned this to waitress which she acknowledged but left it as is. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and it came out within 7 mins. It was pretty good but for the price of $17 you could find similar or even more flavorful at smaller establishments.

: -Veggie fresh rolls $10.95 (like a salad roll, definitely needs sauce) -Chicken wings Zaab $12.95 (tastes like Nuoc Mam wings - very good) -Tofu Taro Fritters $10.95 (surprisingly very good) -Pad Sew Ewe $16.45 + $3 beef (this was my main, sooo good tbh) -Mango Sticky Rice Bangrak $10.95 (pretty sweet, mango chunks are good size) This particular spot is on the cozier side, we booked reservations but the seating filled up rather quickly as they have smaller table seatings meant mainly for 2/4. This place gets really busy both from dine in and take out but to my surprise the food comes out really fast! Can't say its a full service restaurant.. but you get what you need in a efficient time and the food is amazing .. what else do you need?? Only wish is that the appetizer (shareable) selection was bigger.. but thats wishful thinking and a personal preference for me! (I believe the different locations differ in offerings, so check that out). Overall it met all my expectations esp because the food was good

    Pad Thai lunch special
    Winnie T.

Very affordable and delicious place to go to for a quick lunch. Meals came out quick and perfect lunch portions. I liked the spring rolls that came on the side. I wouldn't say this would be my go-to, but for a quick lunch with colleagues, I was quite satisfied. I'd definitely come here again!

I thought I already reviewed this place. I come here all the time. Once a month if it not more. lol. Whenever i have a craving for pad thai. It's probably the best thai food you can get around North York (Yonge and Sheppard) area. It's always very busy here as they have limited sitting. They are open during COVID for take-out only. they close at 10pm , but last call is around 9:30pm If it's your first time, I recommend you order their Pad Thai, the meat does not come with it. For +$2.50, you can add chicken or beef. shrimp is more expensive. Their other noodle dishes Pad kee mao and Pad sew ewe is also pretty good, but Pad thai is better. Their curry is so so, if you choose mild curry there isn't much taste to it. Medium is better but you will need to handle some spice.

Our server, Sophia, was bubbly and friendly, giving suggestions and helping with the ordering process for the other person who wasn't as sure what they wanted. We eventually went with two appetizers and two entrees, which was more than enough food, and honestly, we could have only ordered one appetizer. The better of the two appetizers was the CAD 8.95 Hand Shredded Pepper Chicken/手撕椒麻雞/Shou Si Ji. The dish consists of cold chicken in a flavorful sauce, topped with some greens. The chicken was tender, with a mild, pleasant spice and a bit of numbingness from the Sichuan peppercorns, along with some fragrance, presumably from sesame oil. It reminded me a bit of salivating chicken you find in some Szechuan spots, but it was more aromatic and a bit less spicy. The other appetizer was the Steamed Edamame/岩鹽毛豆 with Himalayan pink salt for CAD 5.95. The other person chose between this and the vegetable dumplings, as he avoids pork, and it was, of course, lighter than the other appetizer. The decent portion of edamame was topped with some pickled carrots as a garnish. My main dish was the Braised Beef Noodles/紅燒牛肉面/Hong Shao Niu Rou Mian. The dish included several options, including size, noodle style, and spice level. I chose the large for CAD $20.95, medium spice, and for the noodle style, I chose flat/宽面, as it was closest to the prism style I like at Lanzhou spots in the States. Along with these, I also added a tea egg for an extra CAD 2.95. Outside the add-on, the dish also had a couple of large slices of radish. Compared to some spots in NYC, I slightly preferred the QQ/bouncy texture of the noodles at a spot near me. However, the broth was better here with a balanced amount of mala, though I would likely order spicy next time, as I tend to add chili oil to the relatively lighter Lanzhou broths. The beef was also much better, being tender with a mild chew regardless of whether it was tendon or other cuts. The tea egg was flavorful and worth the add-on, especially when the inside was dipped further into the broth. I can see why others order this. The other person went with the Signature Stir-fried Noodles/招牌炒面/Chao Tatiaozi. There was an option of protein, and he went with Chicken for $17.95 and added the same egg. I tried a bit, and there was a pleasant pepperiness with a bit of numbing flavor, but less than my dish. The noodles had a good bounciness and overall had a slightly better chewiness than mine. This was lighter overall, but also tasty. This spot has apparently come to the US already at the Mall of America, and I would love it if there were a location closer to me. Good place.

We decided to walk up to Queen Street to see something we hadn't seen and seemed like a good area with a wide variety of restaurants. I was almost writing this review for the one on Dundas Street, but realized there are a few locations in downtown. Glad I double checked. We walked up along Spadina to Queen, not all the way up to Dundas. We were weighing options, but we were unsure what we wanted and struggled. We almost ended up at another restaurant with live music outside, but we weren't being served and wasn't enthusiastic about their menu. So, we looked at a couple of options. We didn't want Chipotle or Chick Fil-A; I can get that anytime as I live near those in Maryland. Also, I wanted cuisine that was harder to find near where I live. Ultimately, we settled on Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles. After a lot of hunger trying to decide, this ended up being an excellent choice. Server was friendly answering our questions. It was moderately priced. We got their hand-pulled noodles, which was a large bowl, and was delicious with beef, veggies, & plenty of noodles. I also got their Japanese Toki brand whiskey. This was a FINE choice at a reasonable price. We got into some conversation with the server about being from the US and various other topics. This was an excellent experience, highly recommend.
