    Thai Basil Chicken Stir Fry
    Natalie C.

I was excited to try Thai Barn Na in Mississauga. 4 of us came on a weekend at around 12pm and immediately got a table. The restaurant had a constant stream of customers and was constantly 80% full during the lunch period. We ordered the mango salad, Khao Soi (chicken), pineapple fried rice, Thai basil stir fry (chicken) and taro sticky rice for dessert. Originally, we wanted to order Khao Soi with beef, but was told beef was not available. I was honestly bummed as it is my go-to protein for Khao Soi, and we were there at the start of the lunch period. I really appreciate that they have a wide range of spice / spicy level. Since all 4 of us can't really eat spicy food. The mango salad had a good balance of flavour - not overly sour with the dressing. The Khao Soi curry / soup flavour was decent, I do wish it was a tad bit thicker so more of the soup can cling on to the noodles and chicken. The soup would probably cling on to the chunks of beef better! The pineapple fried rice was definitely a nice and homey dish. It wasn't oily and had a decent amount of ingredients. Love the presentation of this dish - with a quarter of a fresh pineapple! The Thai basil stir fry was nothing memorable. However we were surprised it came with a bowl of rice, which we packed home as there was too much food! We originally wanted the mango sticky rice, but was told it was unavailable as mangos were not in season - understandable as we came late fall/early winter. Since someone in our party really wanted dessert, we ordered the taro sticky rice to share. It was a big enough portion (super filling) for 4 of us to share. I'm usually not a dessert person (as I have a low tolerance to sweet food) but I found the sweetness of this dessert acceptable. Coconut flavour was strong. Servers were super nice and attentive!

I have heard great reviews about this place and visited today for my birthday. Man, it did not disappoint and infact I felt very content! The food was on point. The taste, the spice level is what we choose to have and menu was not extensive but easily one of the best. Like quality over quantity. I had ordered the crab Rangoon for appetizers , khao soi and cashew chicken for the mains. Everything was so good and delicious. For dessert I went for the butterfly pea tapioca. It was served a bit warm and nice ! Ambiance was pleasant, the interior was quite chic and boho style! Will definitely be their regular when I crave for Thai !

I have been trying to find a Thai restaurant in Mississauga that is as good as PAI in Toronto. Thai Barn Na in the Mississauga Chinese Centre comes close. There are two other locations of this restaurant in Etobicoke and Liberty Village. The restaurant is a decent size, but not large, having about 10 tables. When we arrived at around noon on a Saturday, the restaurant only had a few tables occupied so were seated immediately. When we finished our meal, the restaurant did fill up. We ordered the following: 2 X Khao Soi 1 X My Best Pad Thai 1 X Red Curry with Shrimp The Khao Soi was good, although not as good as PAI. The soup was rich and flavourful but could have had a deeper coconut flavour. The Pad Thai was good and presented very well as it arrived with a cage bird cage type cover. The Red Curry was average but passable. Overall, the food was good, and seemed well prepared with fresh ingredients. The service was excellent and courteous. I would return again, however I'm still tying to find a PAI equivalent in Mississauga.

I got the Thai Milk Tea and also some soup Thai dish (I'm so sorry I forgot the name) and enjoyed it! I would say the Thai Milk Tea was so good as for the dish though I just wish it had a tad bit more flavour. Overall, service was great.

This place has a warm and cozy ambiance with clean lines which feels modern and chic. The servers are friendly and attentive. We ordered: Chicken Pad Thai (5/5) with Thai spicy level. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The dish was sweet and savoury and a slight hint of sourness. The crushed peanuts and fresh bean sprouts tied in the dish together with a crunch to each bite. Taro Sticky Rice (5/5) was slightly sweet and creamy. It was delicious and comforting. We also got Sparkling Lychee and Thai Milk Tea for drinks. Both were refreshing. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area and are in the mood for Thai food. I'd love to come back to try their other dishes.

Thai Barn Na is an authentic Thai restaurant in the Mississauga Chinese Centre Plaza. This plaza is known for having some of the best eats for asian cuisine in Mississauga and Thai Barn Na is no exception! The food tasted authentic and fragrant. We loved how you can choose your spice levels according to your preference. The service was friendly and ambiance lightning was pleasant and cosy. There is limited seating so make sure to come early! There's also not a lot of space for a waiting area... so plan to wait outside or in your car. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks Thai Barn Na!

Dare I say... This place is better than PAI Toronto and is my favourite place for Thai food. I'm going to make it easy for you and tell you what you must try, okay! Firstly, order the Thai Lime Tea - HOLY moly my life was changed after this drink because 1. I'm lactose intolerant and have often had to stay away from Thai tea and this one has no dairy but all the joys of Thai tea. but 2. The flavour that comes from this drink is insane, like how do they encapsulate that all into a drink? Next, if you're eating with 1 other person, order the Pad Thai and a curry. It gives you the perfect noodle and rice option. I feel like anything you eat here is a solid pick, but the pad Thai is so flavourful, sweet and tangy. The dishes are also presented so wonderfully here and you can choose your spice tolerance. Lastly, if it's summer, order the mango sticky rice. It's in season because the mangos are perfectly sweet. The sticky rice is amazing, lightly sweet, warm, and with a topping of coconut milk. I hope your mouth is watering as I describe this because I can't stop thinking about when I can eat here again. Actually lastly, service is amazing, very attentive. It's a cozy space that can get quite busy. Ugh, I need to eat here again.

I think I may just have found my new fave Thai restaurant in the gta! I say might because I only tried one dish but I absolutely loved it I tried the khai so with beef I chose spicy which was their medium spice level they have two spice levels below spicy and two higher than spicy... the coconut curry was heavenly I could not believe how rich it was how flavorful it was. I came with both soft and crispy noodles and the pieces of beef were so chunky and tender. I was unable to finish mine I think portions are large and shareable 10/10 I also tried a cocktail the spicy farang. The pairing of the musky mezcal and the chilli paired well together. I liked the drink I wouldn't say I loved it it's definitely an acquired taste if you like spicy Margaritas this is something you can give a try 8/10 I look forward to visiting again. The staff was helpful with explaining the dishes as well

My new favourite spot for Thai food! Every time l've come here, the food and service have both consistently been amazing. The food comes out pretty quick too. My two favourite dishes were the pad see ew and awesome wings. The pad see ew is a perfect balance of savoury with a bit of sweetness. The awesome wings are so crispy and the dip added so much flavour.

Was in the mood for my favourite pho place at the Mississauga Chinatown. Was closed so I finally had this opportunity to try out this little gem right beside. This is now my favourite authentic Thai cuisine restaurant. Tried the shrimp, egg fried rice, papaya salad and the refreshing Thai ice tea. So good will be back for more. Portion was on point and even had some left to go. The service from two waitresses was so warming and friendly. Lastly the atmosphere was modern sheik with quality furniture. Highly recommended

Came here as a last minute decision to meet up with some friends and it was SO worth it! I ordered the Khao Soi and the sparkling lychee as my cocktail. The Khao Soi was one of the better Khao Soi I've had in a while. The curry broth was flavorful and the egg noodles were perfectly cooked! The sparkling lychee drink was very refreshing and was a great way to cool off with the Khao Soi. The staff are all friendly and extremely attentive and the overall vibe/ambiance of the place are so inviting and cozy. Parking can get a little hectic, but you can just park in the back lot and walk around. I cannot wait to come back next time I am in town!

A nice quaint restaurant in the 888 plaza. Fully renovated and hip. There aren't many tables but cozy enough for a Thai place. Service was good and washroom was clean. The presentation of the food is clean. For the pad Thai, it came with a cute cage for one to open. Portion is on the smaller side. My thick rice noodle was really good, except that it got salty for me at the end. Nice ambiance. Will love to try their other dishes.

Without a doubt, the most easy five starts I've ever handed out. It is a smaller place, but nice ambiance. , Worth every minute of waiting to get your seat, if full on arrival. Service is prompt. Second time here and I apologize for not taking pictures again. But, I can tell you that everyone who was with us the last time and then again today, absolutely loves this place. So far I've tried the starter Spring roll, shrimp roll, fresh roll. Then for my mains I've tried their Pad See Ew and Khao Soi. The flavors in their dishes are stunningly phenomenal. The chef has got to be a magician. The portions are plentiful. Slight warning, if you like spicy like me. Apparently the Thai people have a completely different scale than I do, haha. My recommendation is that IF you like spicy, to try Medium (2 out of 8) the first time. lol. Absolutely stellar meal. Easily my most favorite Thai place ANYWHERE!! Next, I have to also mention the staff here. Suuuuper friendly and outgoing and very attentive. Every visit so far has been an experience I've shared over and over. I can only recommend this place to anyone. I know this will likely make the place even more busier, but hopefully they'll move to a bigger place eventually, so more people can enjoy this gem of a place!!! Simply unbelievable!!

I got the belly lechon, which includes belly lechon, rice, half a salted egg, pickled papaya, cherry tomatoes and a brown sauce. Despite being in a food court, they definitely put a lot of thought into the presentation. The rice and lechon was wrapped in a (papaya?) leaf. I was impressed that the rice was steaming hot when I unwrapped the leaf, yet the lechon skin remained crunchy! The lechon meat was extremely tender. I think it's value for money ($15) given how high quality the meat was. The portion was just right for me, but for people who have a bigger appetite, it might not filling enough. My only complaint is that they were blasting the music a bit too loud in the enclosed eat-im area just for their stall.

The interior is a modern and Instagram-able food hall with a good amount of seating. From first glance, I was overwhelmed by the amount of good options and variety. I would recommend walking around and looking at every food establishment before buying. I recommend sampling from a few places to try as much as you can (if you're just visiting). I enjoyed Kibo Sushi House, Uncle Tetsu's Shop (the cheese tart was so good), and Hale Coffee. Lots of other options (Italian pasta, tacos, soups, chocolate shop, Indian, Mediterranean, etc.) that looked like it was worth a chance. I'd recommend grabbing food here for convenience and taste.

Who doesn't love finding somewhat hidden gem of a place?…read more This location is unassumedly in a strip mall with a music store and pet care business and was such a delight to enjoy. The menu is pretty straight forward but so many options with Taiwanese and Chinese street food type options and fresh noodle and rice dishes. We tried the cuttlefish ball and sweet and sour cucumber salad eppetizers, the original noodle dish with sauce on the side, non vegetarian street noodle choice and the braised pork on rice dish that comes with optional seaweed soup on the side. Everything was tasty, but the seaweed soup was the least favourite for our table. Cuttlefish balls were crispy on the outside, juicy and bouncy on the inside with a sliight sweetness. The Cucumber salad used black vinegar as the base and were not too strong or punchy but provided a nice crisp relief with the other dishes. The egg noodles were just great. Firm and chewy and did I mentioned never ending?? If you need more noodles to gobble up whatever sauce or broth you order just ask! And a bowl will quickly appear at your table, included in your price. The flatter egg noodle was very light and the rounder egg pasta more chewy, both were delicious and held on to the sauces perfectly. The braised tea/soya egg were hard boiled and flavourful and this rice dish was very kid friendly too, a great way to introduce kiddos to the menu. Service was quick and friendly and well worth a detour to visit.

The ordering system is kind of confusing. You need to scan the QR code on your table, which right away, I hate when establishments do this. Once you scan the QR code, you order online. You don't pay but you need to put your order through here. They don't come to your table. It was confusing because my friend and I were only ordering for ourselves on our own phones, which made sense to us. However, because I put my order through first, it only accepted mine. We were waiting like 10 mins after my order came for my friend's order. Turns out hers didn't even go through! You need to order for the whole table on one phone. Anyways, she got her order 5 mins after adding onto my order. We both ordered Mild spice, mild numbing with egg noodles. This was just the right amount of spice for me. They actually give you a lot of noodles. I couldn't even finish it. They're super bouncy and have a great chewy texture. The beef brisket was tender and there was a lot of it. If you don't like fat or can't handle some fat, don't get this. But I like fat and this was delicious and flavourful. Taste like a classic Chinese beef brisket. I appreciated the cilantro. It gave it a different depth of flavour with each bite. The broth was perfect, especially on a cold winters day. Not sure I would return but it was an ok meal and a decent amount.
