We visited here on a weekday evening for dinner. Both the patio and indoor dining area were packed. The indoor space is beautifully designed, with plush green velvet chairs that add a cozy and vibrant feel to the room. Warm lighting and stylish decor make the restaurant feel welcoming and lively, perfect for a relaxed dinner or a fun night out with friends. The atmosphere is lively and yet feels comfortable and homey. The staff are friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations. We started with "Fresh Veg Roll" and "Fish Cakes" for appetizers and paired them with "Lychee Mojito" and "Thai Pina Colada"; very refreshing for a hot summer evening. We loved the appetizers; they were fresh and tasty. For main, we ordered "Yellow Pineapple Curry with Chicken", "Golden Pad Thai with Shrimp" and "Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef". I went to Hello Bangkok for the first time and we just walked around before we decided to go here in Port Credit and it looked busy so we decided to check it out. This was on a Friday night and the patio was almost full. We ended up sitting on the patio, beside the in and out door. To drink I ordered the pineapple coconut martini and I was really surprised that it didn't taste strong but it was strong or maybe I felt it more because I hadn't eaten too much before that. It tasted ok but I wouldn't order it again. We ordered the Bangkok style Pad Thai with shrimp and the pineapple fried rice With chicken. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. People that arrived after us, that's two parties one party of two and another party of three to four both got their food before we did Then I saw the pineapple Fried rice come out but then they didn't bring it to our table, they brought it to the table of four and when the server was asking them about it I saw the guest gesturing to take it and then I saw the manager come out quickly and take it back from them and guess what that was actually ours. When I told the manager he just said wait a minute wait a minute and he went back but minutes went by after that and I food still didn't come out. When the manager came out the second time I said we didn't get our food yet and we've been waiting a long time and then he brought out both dishes the pineapple fried rice which by now was cold and the Bangkok style Punta which was hot. The food tasted great. The food quality is excellent. The service kind of sucked because there's not that many of us out there and they really should have noticed that we haven't got our food. We were seated just beside the door so it's not really like we're invisible because they had to pass us each time they went in and out. I'm really disappointed in the service and that the manager knowing gave us cold food that was supposed to be served hot. We probably should have sent the pineapple fried rice back. Since he knew he was giving us food that was cold by now, I suspect they wouldn't have fixed it. I'll never know. I'm really disappointed to have this experience. I took one star off because our food took so long to come out and other tables who came after us for served before us. I took another star off was because our food got served to another table initially and that table even accepted it. And the last star I took off because when I told the manager I think it was ours and it was, he didn't listen and said one minute but it did still didn't come out after that. I had to ask again and then he brought out the same dish that was served to another table and I know that's true because it was cold. The manager knew this and still served it to us. The service was great the ambiance was perfect. The special Pineapple mixed with Mango fruit iced drink was delicious. The Pineapple shrimp fried rice, was another special request. The rice was slightly undercooked over oiled and flavorless . The shrimp were fresh but had more skin on than I preferred and not much seasoning to it. I was disappointed for my fried rice standards. On the other hand, the fresh veggie rolls were fantastic flavorful like Fourth of July in my mouth. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because the fried rice was made very last minute because they kind of screwed up my order a little bit so I'm letting them slide, but I'm sure the rest of the food is delicious. read more

We had a great experience at Hello Bangkok. We had reservations in advance, so getting a seat was not an issue for a Friday night. The restaurant has a very modern feel to it, with dark green velvet seating, white tables and gold accents. I ordered the golden pad Thai, which was pad Thai wrapped in egg. Hello Bangkok is a bustling restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. We ordered: Tamarind Stir Fry - Crispy Chicken (4/5) had a delicate sweetness balanced with tanginess from the tamarind. The texture was crispy even with the sauce. Pad Gra Pao (5/5) was delicious. We enjoyed how they loaded it with basil and the umami from the ground beef was superb. Chicken Satay (4/5) was tender and paired nicely with the peanut sauce. Bangkok Pad Thai (5/5) was a fan favourite. The noodles were cooked perfectly with the good amount of chewiness. The sweet and savoury flavour ratio was perfect. Fried Calamari (5/5) was definitely a must. It was so crispy. Fried Fritters (4/5) were pillowy and savoury. The fish sauce was a great addition. Tom Yum Noodle Soup (4/5) had a delicate hint of spiciness and sour. The shrimps were succulent and the mussels added an extra depth of flavour to the soup. Fried Bananas with Ice Cream (5/5) were a good way to finish off our meals. The drinks were decent. Overall, a great Thai restaurant in the city. Only thing is that they get super busy and so it was hard to flag down the servers because we wanted to order some more dishes. Came recently for a small holiday lunch with friends. Ambiance is lovely, all green and lush -- covered with Christmas decorations at the time. It felt very Ozian as well. Haha! Decided to dine here tonight. The service and food were excellent. We really felt we'd had a night out even though we're only a hundred yards from our house. Hello Bangkok! has a great feel. It's clean and beautifully presented as are the dishes. A tv shows scenes from Bangkok adding to the ambiance. We had shrimp rolls and calamari for starters followed by some Pad Thai, and a ground beef stir fry. This is a popular establishment and absolutely worth a visit. Big mistake. The best thing about this place was probably the decor. The space seemed clean and felt comfortable with a lot of seating and was really quiet when we were there. I see many reviews praising the service but my experience was definitely not praiseworthy. We were basically shown to a table, given water, orders taken and payment processed. All with the minimal of communication and definitely no friendliness. I am usually ok with this but what bothered me was the extra charges for everything. I ordered the pad see ew and was asked whether I wanted beef or chicken. I had assumed since pad see ew was usually just flat noodles, a bit of Chinese broccoli and protein that the protein was included in the price (not to mention that nowhere did it mention the protein costs extra) but nope I was charged to extra to add beef with no communication about it. So I guess if I didn't add any protein I would have been eating plain flat noodles for $19. My companions as well each had to pay an extra $4 for white rice as their dishes didn't come with anything. Who serves curry without rice? Just wasn't thrilled with being nickel and dimed for everything. I might have let it slide if the food was amazing like many were saying in the other reviews but nope. Not sure if I caught this place on an off day but my food was at best average. My pad see ew was pretty bland and the beef was a bit tougher than I would have liked. My friend said his curry was just ok and definitely not worth what they charged him. To top it all off the portions were really small as my dish barely had any noodles and I was starving still after dropping $25+ on a dish. I definitely will not be coming back here again. For the quality of food and service I probably would have been better off at a fast food joint. Plenty of great Thai restaurants in the GTA definitely do not recommend. read more

Love it here! Tried this place for the first time for lunch to celebrate my birthday and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food here. Having just come back from Thailand recently, I was craving some good authentic Thai food -- this place definitely delivered. Glad there's a place I can go to now in the port credit area. We ordered family style: - chicken tom yum soup for the table (the creamy version with the lighter soup) -- so good - the Thai papaya salad - chicken Penang curry (with sticky rice) -- the sticky rice definitely adds to the flavour of the curry, highly recommend - pad gra pao beef - one of my fav Thai dishes lately so I really enjoyed this - chicken pad see ew - (forgot the name of the dish).. it was some sort of salad with fried fish -- this was so good (I would just ask the server) - Thai iced milk teas - tom yum mojito -- sounds weird but surprisingly very good Big fan! A new Thai restaurant finally opened in the heart of Port credit. It wasn't busy on a Sunday evening, however, from our table we saw that there were a lot of takeout orders and could hear the kitchen buzzing. The service was decent. The decor was velvet green and there is a glass panel to the kitchen with their elephant logo which is cool. My dish had fresh rice noodle cut up to rectangle sizes which I've never had. So that was interesting. It was the right spiciness for me. The down side is that the beef pieces were too dry and had no taste. My partner's pad Thai was flavourful and the chicken was cooked right. Presentation of the dishes were great. The menu had a lot of selection and the prices are comparable to other Thai places. Portions are decent too. Ambience-A1 the vibe was fresh and classy and the Resturant was baby friendly so that's a big plus. Service- very kind and pleasant staff. Really accommodating. Let us adjust my baby's stroller right next to where we sat and made us feel comfortable. Food- Papaya salad to start with was delicious. The green Thai curry was mind blowing. Review is for takeout. Ordered by phone when I was nearby and it was ready in a timely manner. Ordering directly thru restaurant is much faster than thru their website, via a 3rd party. Prices are comparable to other Thai restaurants in the City, ~$20/dish, BUT the pad thai is like 2Xs the size as Mo Thai's takeout. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and Red Curry, BOTH were solid choices. My only complaint is that I wished that I could taste the wok hei. Other than that, I'd recommend this place especially if you're in the Port Credit area. They also have a nice patio set-up for the Summer, so take advantage of that! read more

I've been to Hello Bangkok on five different occasions and was very pleased each time. The food was absolutely delicious and all of the staff members were pleasant. My favourite dish (which I usually order) is Pad See Ew. During the week they have a lunch special which includes a lovely mango salad and a spring roll along with a main dish. We were out for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's milestone birthday and we were in the mood for Thai food. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by Dennis (manager/owner) and seated right away. The restaurant had a warm and cozy ambiance. Our server, Freund(?) was very helpful and provided us with his recommendations. We ordered our drinks, a Mango Margarita and a beer. The Mango Margarita was amazing!!! We started with the Thai Style Calamari as an appetizer and for the main entrees, we ordered the Cashew Nut Stirfry with Tofu and Pineapple Fried with Seafood. All the dishes were amazing and so tasty! To top things off, Dennis came over with a delicious pandan mousse cake with a candle for my boyfriend. The interior is lovely, quaint and romantic with a dinner jazz playlist of modern/old-school covers that we thoroughly enjoyed. We had the Pad See Ew, Khao Soi and a custard dessert.
