    Mango sticky rice
    Jennifer L.

Lots of nice seating and ambiance at this location. I had the Khao soi which was delicious. We arrived at 12pm and it was pretty quiet, as it approached 12:30, it was suddenly packed and service started to get quite slow. We waited quite a while to get our dessert and had to remind the staff. Food was excellent, I would come back. Recommend sharing the mango sticky rice - it was really good!

Came by to try the combo of massage next door set lunch here. It's a great deal. There's parking on Yonge just north. Service is excellent and also food is excellent. I die is roomy and comfortable. There is even a storefront to buy Thai snack etc. would recommend trying it at least once.

Went in and adored how they have two swings for you to sit and take pictures before going into the restaurant and to the right after the entrance is a little market for you to buy any Thai products such as:tea leaves, food, frozen goods, snacks and then after you finish shopping, you may go to the restaurant that is now located inside on your left. I'm must say they're interior. Design is beautiful, but the restroom is not handicap accessible as it is upstairs. I love how they help of high top tables or regular dining table tables or you choose from when you arrive early or when they're not as busy. If you were walking to you then dining experience you do have to call in advance to book for the massage and the combo is a three course set meal after your 30 minute massage

Excellent Thai restaurant with a good selection of seafood and vegetables. This location near Yonge & Lawrence is bigger (both the restaurant and menu) compared to its sister location on Bayview Avenue, and has a darker interior. There is a small Thai market right at the entrance, selling Thai snacks, sauces, gifts, traditional Thai clothing, and a freezer filled with frozen curries that you can take home and use for cooking. Lamai Thai Massage is located on the second floor (as well as the washrooms). They have "dine and massage packages" available. Service was nice and friendly. Food came out relatively quickly. Review of the dishes we ordered: 1) Grilled Corn Salad (grilled local sweet corn, mixed with lettuce, long beans, carrots, tomatoes, peanuts, garlic, and tamarind dressing) - I love grilled corn so I liked this appetizer. It was fresh, simple, and they were able to separate out the dressing (which was a bit spicy). 2) Grilled Octopus Skewers (charcoal-grilled marinated baby octopus served with seafood sauce) - The marinade was tasty; I tasted ginger. It came served with spicy seafood sauce (which we did not use... the octopus was already tasty without the sauce). The baby octopus was nice and chewy. It came as 3 skewers (2 baby octopus on each skewer), which was plenty to share in a small group. 3) Khao Pad Pla Tuu (deboned Thai mackerel stir-fried with egg fried rice, green onions, Spanish onions, and chilis, topped with another whole Thai mackerel) - Favourite dish! The fried rice was flavourful, especially with the mix of eggs, Spanish and green onions, and cut up Thai mackerel. The winner was the whole Thai mackerel (already deboned) that they put on top of the fried rice. Lots of protein and omega-3 in this dish! We asked for this dish to be made non-spicy, and they were able to accommodate. 4) Pla Lui Suan (fried whole branzino fish with fresh Thai herbs & mango salad in a tangy & sweet tamarind dressing) - "Pla Lui Suan" translated to "fish in the garden", with "the garden" being the herbacious salad (mint, cilantro, chilies, toasted cashews, sliced mango) with vegetables (lettuce, shredded carrot, cilantro). This was one of their signature items. It came as a big whole fish, and we asked for the dressing to be served separately. 5) Nana's Garden (stir-fried mixed vegetables (broccoli, Chinese broccoli, Napa cabbage, carrot, onion, mushrooms) with tofu) - They were able to make this without oyster sauce. The tofu was quite salty, but the rest of the vegetables were good and crisp.

I decided to partake in their Dine & Spa midday package (M-F, 10am-3pm). You have several options but I chose the 30 minutes seated Thai massage and the 3 course lunch. This option is $49. Yes you read that right. $49. You start off with the massage - it's actually located right next to the restaurant (it's a very steep staircase going up - if you have a mobility issue you won't be able to get upstairs) The area is small, a bit crowded, but I think this is because the deal is just too good. The seated massages are all done in one room - I believe about 10 people can be in the room at a time. There are other options for table massages though I've had Thai massages before, so for those that haven't, this type of massage is not the calm relaxing zen like experience. This is knead your muscles until you almost cry lol. Stretch you out like a rubber band. Don't let those masseuses fool you - they have STRENGTH It's function over calm lol. They do not offer RMT, but it's pretty inexpensive considering how much massages run in this city. After you are done, they hand you the spa menu which you take next door to the restaurant (Pi Nong). The restaurant was pretty busy on a Friday afternoon- lots of seating, seats at the bar. A small grocery area in the front. I ordered the mango salad - fresh and sharp, refreshing after being pulled in every direction. The Bangkok street pad Thai (chicken or veggie) is pretty flavourful. The noodles are a nice chewy texture, the chicken pieces are a good portion. Dessert was coconut ice cream - hit the spot - as I'm not usually a sweets person, this was great bc coconut is not overly sweet. I don't think you can beat a deal like this in the city tbh. If you are looking to have a spa zen moment this is not the place, but if you just need to work out you muscle kinks, definitely check this place out

Super cute spot hidden north of Lawrence and Yonge! It's a great vibe inside, the place is well decorated. The servers were also very attentive and friendly. We got the mango salad, Tom yum soup with prawns, green curry with chicken and the crying tiger. We loved every single dish. Only con was near the end/bottom of the mango salad, it was pretty salty. I would love to return and try their other dishes, they've got lots of unique ones hidden in their menus.

Pii Nong is a Thai restaurant located along Yonge St. near Fairlawn Ave. At the front of the restaurant, as soon as you walk in, is a small shop full of Thai products including instant boat noodles, drinks, crafts, snacks, and even a bird's nest drink. You are also able to purchase Pii Nong curries and soups in one of their fridges as well. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating throughout. When you walk into the bigger room, the bar is to the right of the restaurant where there is also a more private area for bigger parties. The washrooms are located upstairs (only accessible by stairs) shared by their Thai massage business, Lamai. I recently dined at Pii Nong on a Friday for lunch as part of the mid-day recharge massage and dine package between Lamai and Pii Nong. For this particular package, you get a 30 min sitting massage at Lamai prior to going downstairs to Pii Nong to have a 3 course lunch...all for $49 (+ tax and tip!). For this particular promo, as you leave your massage, you are given menus for Pii Nong. The 3 course menu consisted of an appetizer (veggie spring rolls, mango salad, or coconut shrimp), main (paid thai, yum woon sen, beef + broccoli, or eggplant) and dessert (a Thai coconut bliss). Food wise, we ordered the following items: - Thai veggie spring rolls (stuffed with cabbage, crunchy bean sprouts and carrots, served with house made sweet chili plum sauce) - Butterfly coconut shrimp (tiger shrimps buterflied and coated with golden, crispy, coconut breading served with housemade sweet chili plum sauce) - We both got the Bangkok street pad thai (traditional street style pad Thai with egg, chives, tofu, beansprouts, pickled radish and thin rice noodles in a fresh tamarind pad Thai sauce (both of us chose chicken as our protein) - Dessert was the Thai coconut bliss (scoop of coconut ice cream topped with Thai jellies) The food was hot and prepared well. The entire lunch set was great and delicious. The butterfly coconut shrimp was tasty where you could actually taste the coconut flavour in each bite. The coating was crispy and fried to perfection. The plum sauce added that much needed sweetness to the shrimp. The pad thai was cooked well where it had that "wok hay" taste. It was a generous portion and I didn't finish my pad thai and brought some home. Lastly, the dessert was refreshing and the toppings on top of the coconut ice cream worked well together - we really enjoyed it! Service wise, staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. Food came out fast and the staff always made sure that our waters were refilled. Our plates were also cleared quickly and they made sure we were attended to if need be. Overall, a great lunch set combined with a Thai massage! Everything tasted great - we wouldn't hesitate to return here for more Thai food in the future!

    Thai calamari.
    David S.

I first came across this place when I dropped in to see their miniature Thai market in the front. I resolved to return some day to try the good, and I did, and here is a review. I made a reservation through the web site, and was seated promptly. Service through the meal was efficient and pleasant. And nothing intrusive, like timing asking how your meal is when your mouth is full. I got Thai calamari, chili basil clams, and Street style Pad Thai. When I saw the calamari, I thought "Oh no! Thick breaded!" But it actually was quite light, and not greasy. The calamari was perfectly cooked, tender, but I didn't taste any chili or lime in the batter. But the accompanying lime basil dip was AMAZING! The clams were a mixed experience. They were cooked well, and the sauce was also AMAZING, but at the price point of the restaurant, I would expect a lot fewer broken shells, and that the kitchen would remove unopened clams before they served up the dish. To be fair, there was only one unopened clam, but quite a few broken shells. I did want to transport to a Vietnamese restaurant briefly to get a bahn mi bun to soak up the sweet, tangy, earthy sauce. The street style Pad Thai is rapidly becoming my favourite style. Too many suspiciously sauced reddish noodles in this town. Thos Pad Thai was sweet, smokey, and served at a temperature that showed it just came from a pan. Finally, my Lychee cocktail was quite delicious. It came with the meat if one Lychee nut skewered on the end of the little umbrella. Decor is mostly evoking a Thai world, with a small bit of ceiling looking like generic gastropub. My seat wasn't really near the front door, but I was a bit chilly for the first twenty minutes or so. All in all, I would definitely return again to try some of the other menu items.

    Chicken satay skewers

We stopped by around 2 p.m. on a Saturday for a quick bite, and the place was bustling. Despite the crowd, we were seated promptly. A wedding party in the private dining room added to the lively atmosphere. I ordered the Thai milk tea, which arrived with an iced teddy bear and a small DIY condensed milk pour topped with a paper umbrella. It was a playful and charming presentation. The flavour was average, but the creativity and attention to detail were delightful. For food, we tried the chicken satay and the crispy pork belly satay -- I'd recommend the latter for its rich, smoky flavour. The chicken and shrimp Pad Thai leaned on the sweeter side but suited my taste well. The entrance is creatively inviting, designed like a small Thai grocery shop stocked with snacks, frozen foods, and merchandise. There's even a cute photo spot with two swings near the door. Overall, it's a fun and thoughtfully designed spot with creative dishes and friendly service. I'd love to return with a group to sample more of the menu. A great addition to the neighbourhood.

    Pandan chicken and cocktail
    Janice Y.

Love the decor of this restaurant and the selection on the menu. We had the fried fish dish and the pandan leaf chicken to share. My other friend ordered some other fried meat dish (forgot what he ordered) with an add on side of rice. Our dishes tasted great. While the pandan chicken is good and had great presentation, I'm not sure I tasted much of the pandan so probably would skip that for next time. The fried fish dish was like sweet and sour fish, pretty appetizing. We had the dishes alone to keep it low carb, though I think most would probably prefer adding a bowl of rice for purchase. Definitely recommend making a reservation at this spot especially on prime time dinner over the weekend as the restaurant quickly filled up when we left. We were given a 10 minute warning because another reservation was coming in after us. I mean we were pretty much finished with our food at that point and just chatting away and catching up so if you wanted more time to dine, this spot probably isn't ideal during Friday evening due to back to back reservations. Anyways, I did enjoy my experience and would be curious to try their noodle dishes next.

    Cat L.

I'm glad that we made a reservation for Saturday night, since it was really busy inside! The decor and setting is lovely, but it can get noisy inside especially with other diners. Our favourites were the pork jowl and the mango sticky rice (which featured different flavours of rice). The teddy bear drinks were also adored as well!

Did the Lamai thai massage + pii nong lunch deal. For the lunch deal, it is a 3 course meal with different options for the appetizer and main, and coconut ice cream for dessert. We got the mango salad and butterfly coconut shrimp for apps, chicken pad thai for main, and thai milk tea as an add on. Everything was so delicious! The mango salad had a delicious tamarind dressing, and the coconut dessert was so subtle and must be made with real coconuts. The thai milk tea came with a bear shaped ice and it was so cute. One of my new favourite thai places!

    Pork jowl
    Ling M.

So good. One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to in the GTA. The teddy bear thai iced too was not overly sweet, and was one of the best thai iced tea I've had (even compared to the ones I've had in Thailand). The appetizers were the star of the show for me. The pork jowl - melt in your mouth and the sauce for it is spot on. The skewers - each one was deliciously grilled. The yum woo sen (glass noodle salad) was probably my favourite dish. So flavourful and refreshing. Coconut butterfly shrimp was good. The mains we tried softshell crab curry (the crab was really good), pad gra prow (this was pretty spicy, the flavours were great and not like other pad gra prows I've had), pad see ew (this was average for me), massaman curry (ok but not my fav).

Look at this Thai Iced Tea! Cuteness overload!!!

The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.

The place was packed and clearly very busy, but despite that, the servers were genuinely friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better, and ambience was good! Food-wise, everything we ordered was solid: * Pad See Ew was flavorful and well-balanced * Kor Moo Yang was juicy and perfectly grilled * Pad Woonsen Chaong was also delicious and comforting Overall, the flavors really worked for my palate. I personally liked this more than Koh Lipe. I also enjoy Pai -- honestly, I like most Thai spots -- but there's something about Toronto Thai food that just hits different. I've had Thai food in New York, London, and Seoul (and quite a lot of it), and somehow Toronto still does it better Bottom line: very satisfying meal, great energy, and food that lives up to the reputation. I'm glad I finally tried it and would definitely come back.

The only con was that the washrooms were downstairs so you have to walk out the building to access it again. Our server was super friendly and helped us choose the right items from the menu. We ordered the som tum tod which were hesitant to order coz we don't like papaya but it turned out to be the best dish that night. So so flavourful and very satisfying! We also ordered the pork jowl, minced chicken and garlic chicken with rice and everything was very well done. The mango sticky rice was however not upto the mark coz the mangoes were tart but they did warn us beforehand and we wanted to take that risk. Overall a great dinner at a Michelin recommended place.

I've tried the Tom yum prawn spaghetti and khao soi, both of which have really authentic strong, rich and punchy Thai flavours. Some of the cocktails and desserts also have interactive components like flambé, which makes the experience quite interesting. Service is friendly and the space is clean. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Service was very friendly. Normally this would be a 5-star review, but there were a few things that stopped that... the dining room is just way too bright, I prefer more comfortable, lower lit environments to elevate the overall experience. We ordered an appetizer, which came out first, but then they didn't give us the time to finish it. The main dishes came out right after, so we were rushed. Lastly, there were some items on the dinner menu we wanted to try, but they refused, only brunch items were available. Food portions were good, but could have been bigger. Ignoring all of that, the food is amazing. If you're into Thai food, this place is a must.
