I ordered two salads from Mandy's and was extremely disappointed. Both were overwhelmingly kale and quinoa, with very few of the advertised ingredients. There were barely any walnuts, and despite paying for extra cranberries, there were hardly any included. The kale made up most of the salads, yet it was tough & difficult to chew. Most importantly, these salads were by no means worth the price. For what was charged, I expected fresh ingredients and a reasonable balance of toppings. Instead, I received bowls that were mostly kale and quinoa, with the premium ingredients largely absent. What turned a disappointing meal into a terrible experience was the complete lack of accountability afterward. When I contacted Mandy's, I was directed to Uber Eats. Unfortunately, dealing with Uber Eats customer support was even more frustrating than receiving the food itself. The support process felt automated, impersonal, and entirely focused on closing the complaint rather than addressing the issue. Despite providing details about the poor quality of the food, my concerns were not taken seriously and no meaningful resolution was offered. Customers order through delivery platforms expecting some level of protection when food arrives in unacceptable condition. In this case, neither the restaurant nor Uber Eats seemed willing to take responsibility. Poor food quality is one thing; poor customer service from both companies makes the experience far worse. I won't be ordering from Mandy's again, and this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Uber Eats as well. read more

Mandy's is the perfect lunch spot if you're looking for deliciously dressed, very satisfying salads and bowls. Their menu is pretty extensive; many options and you can actually create your own salad by checking off a checklist paper at the cash. Their dressings are all super tasty. Their menu staff are super friendly and welcoming. The service is pretty quick, but lunch hour can be a bit hectic as one expects. Super cute atmosphere and front patio seating available on Ossington for people watching as you enjoy your salad. I come here regularly because it's just so tasty, and a healthier option. I was really excited to try Mandy's as I've heard such good things about the restaurant. The inside is beautiful and has 1920s European vibe to it - I loved the decor! For take out, I ordered the Pacific Crunch which has rice noodles, cilantro, mint, shredded carrots, purple cabbage, green onions, edamame, red peppers, mango, cashews, and coconut curry shrimp. The service was quick, as it took about 10 minutes to prepare the bowl. I enjoyed the Pacific Crunch; it was very tasty and the ingredients complimented each other well. However, I am giving Mandy's 3 stars as I was very disappointed with the portion size, especially considering the price. My bowl was only 2/3 full, when compared to the bowl purchased by my friend. For the price, I would expect the bowl to be completely full, with more than 4 shrimp. read more

We had heard about this place through a friend from Montreal and I must say that IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! The vibe is edgy while being very inviting. The staff are extremely friendly without being in-your-face while you are in the midst of eating. Ossington is without a doubt the place to hang out these days. This old man (me) might have stuck out, but for some strange reason, I/we just blended right in. Now let's talk about the food. Portions are very generous without being "American-Sized". the best part about their food is that it can satisfy you and fill you up without making you feel bloated. The ingredients are so fresh that they immediately capture your attention as your mouth processes all the taste layers and textures. LOVED the plant protein in my Peanut Satay Salad! Will definitely do that one over again. My partner had the Wile Sage bowl and could not finish it. Interesting note. The tables all have a water carafe with fresh water at room temp. Believe it or not, this is the best way to drink water, for health reasons. Tip of the hat to the store manager who was so kind. We had a lovely quick chat with her to find out more about the "Mandy story". Super highly recommend. This place is a little on the pricier side, but I always enjoy the salads and smoothies here because of the large portions, fresh ingredients and just the right amount of salad dressing. To date, I have found everything I tried here pretty tasty (including items I've ordered throguh Uber Eats). The restuarant itself is pretty small with seating for approximately 18 people inside, and some patio space outside. However, the decor at the Ossingtion location is super cute, which makes it a perfect spot for a lunch date, or place to catch up with your girl friendsGourmet Salad. The staff here are all friendly, and has always greeted me with a smile, and the wait time for your order is reasonable. It's noted that this isn't a full service resataurant. You need to order your food and the counter first. They will then give you a number sign for you to take to your table, which they will recollect when they bring you your food. On the other hand, if you decide to take your order to go, the food here is packaged in eco-friendly containers, and put their cute, pink paper bag with the Mandy's logo. read more

Mandy's was a must try on my list - basically Canadian Erewhon is how I see it. I paid $30 for a salad and have no regrets. I ordered the shrimp salad with chicken and my friend ordered the peanut satay which came with vegan chicken. I actually really liked the vegan chicken! I've never had a salad this tasty from a restaurant before. The shrimps were huge and seasoned well, reminded me of a Vietnamese salad dish my mom makes. Mandy, you make a good salad! This cute little place just opened on Ossington. They have several salad options, including a build your own. I got the Crunchy Sesame Salad and added chicken and every bite was delicious. Price is reasonable as the salads are pretty big. I can't say it was too filling as I was hungry again an hour later. 4 stars because there's not enough seating and the seating structure is strange. I was told that you have to order first and then seating is first come first serve, but some other people walked in and sat down right away, so this rule wasn't enforced for everyone. For being such a trendy spot, they're going to have to figure out this seating issue for when it becomes warmer. read more

Stumbled cross Mandy's by accident in Montreal and loved the freshness and decor- didn't actually know how popular it was. But glad to see that they've opened in toronto!! Super fresh salads and an aesthetic place to sit down and meet up with friends. A step inside really takes you away from the city. They also sell baked goods, snacks and Mandy's merch. Wish they sold the Green Goddess dressing but maybe one day, maybe. All their salads are good and there's plenty of variety to choose from. You can always also swap out the dressing for whichever one you prefer. The salads are on par with other salad places (perhaps maybe sliiiightly more expensive) but you get a large portion. One salad is often 2 meals, and if you throw in your own protein too, you're golden. Also pls get the Green Goddess dressing. Just get it. read more

If you've been to a Mandy's in Montreal you will not be disappointed. Though this location is much smaller than others the decor is on brand and fabulous! If you've never been to Mandy's and you love healthy food and funky feminine decor this is your place. I first discovered Mandy's through their cookbook at Anthropologie. And they basically combine two of my favourite things, healthy, delicious food and beautiful decor. It's an Instagrammer's dream! I was here their second day open and the first two salads I ordered they were out of a key ingredient. Third time was the charm with the Tokyo salad. I opted for an iced americano but they were out of ice. So essentially give them a break if you come soon as they are newly opened. Serving sizes are incredible generous and food is fantastic. I see many visits to Mandy's in my future. Though within a few minutes of opening they were almost filled up. I may be doing take out for a while. Side note: I came with a stroller and there was no ramp though someone kindly helped me up with mine. The restaurant is quite narrow so not a ton of space. read more

One of the most reliable spots to get a lunch that won't knock you out. The salads are absolutely huge; "The Fav" is a fav and "The Lumberjack" is nice if you need something extra hardy. Their interior is gorgeous, but it's almost always bustling with diners, staff, and delivery drivers. Eat in only if you can handle some hectic vibes. I think of it primarily as a take-out option. Their packaging is thoughtful and high-quality. The bags don't rip, even when stuffed with a few salads, and their take-out bowls are partially compostable which is a nice touch. Bellwoods park is right nearby and chock full of picnic benches perfect for sitting down to enjoy some greens in the open air. I'd also recommend their sleeper-hit grain bowls. The "Sol Bowl" is quinoa-based with a ton of veggies. While perhaps not the most vibrant meal, it's easy to eat on the go and is also on the more affordable side of their admittedly expensive (~$17 for a salad) menu. read more

This is a great casual spot to get salad and has a great reputation as a popular chain in Montreal. There are many salads that are suitable for anyone. This is NOT a vegan or vegetarian spot so there is great options for your friends who are too scared to eat at Fresh Restaurants. It has many options to customize the food to be meat/protein forward. Easily expect your salad to be $20. The experience is vastly different than the Montreal locations. The montreal locations have much more seating and are more casual where you get your food and sit at a large communal table. This location had very limited eating and was more geared towards a sit down spot, despite it being casual. You enter at any time and you already notice there is no seating. You then pay for your food and get a number and just wait around for a spot to sit in. It does not have the luxury of a full sit down spot because you feel pressured to eat quickly so other people can sit down. Knowing this now, my recommendation is to get this more in the fall/summer time where you can sit and lounge at a nearby park like Trinity Bellwoods and enjoy some fresh air. Terrible salads. My daughter and I went for dinner here tonight, but we were extremely disappointed. In truth, we're excited as we have been eyeing Mandys for a while and heard their salads were yummy. We sat outside given the summer weather and ordered a Cobb salad and Bun salad. Earl grey tea and a juice. The salads came in paper bowls with lids crunched on top. The "Cobb " had wilted lettuce and very little of the ingredients in a normal CS. Just awful. Plus, if you sit inside you get a big ceramic bowl. Completely different look. We asked for refunds. It was that bad. The only good thing about Mandy's is their Staff. A for them. F for the salads. Recommend that you go to Farm Boy, very good salads and half the price. read more

I called to complain about it and was directed to someone who apologized to me and offered me a free salad to compensate. No offer of a refund, didn't ask me to send pictures, didn't offer to have someone from management reach out to discuss the issue. She did not sound at all concerned that something both filthy, but more importantly: DANGEROUS was found in the food. Disgusted and disappointed in my experience and I will NOT be going back. I have also posted about this on my instagram and am telling everyone I know. They are just lucky that I actually SAW it in my food instead of eating it and choking on it. Could have gone a lot differently. FYI I did also read a review where another person found a DEAD BEE in their salad. PROCEED WITH CAUTION PEOPLE. PS. I've had two incidents when ordering, the first through uber eats where they didn't include the salad dressing. I had to walk over and get it. The second time I ordered on uber, I was waiting almost an hour for it to be prepared. I had to call the store to make sure I'd receive it before close. They said it was ready, and I asked why does it still say "preparing order"? They had no real response, no apology, and basically just tried to pull a fast one on me and make BS excuses. Hello Beautiful, Absolutely amazing!!! My girlfriends bought me here today for my 50th birthday and chose this place cos we share the same name!! From the time we got there, Mona made us feel at home and made me feel especially welcome. From answering all our questions to making sure we enjoyed our meals, her kindness made it seem like we were friends more than customers and that she was happy for us to be there. We were there for a while and the steady stream of customers, take out and deliverys was a true testament to the amazing food being served. Mandy's is an adorable salad place that we found in Toronto. Having planned lunch there, my friends and I were very excited to try it. The food was really good, and they had really cute items to purchase (very boutique like). I decided to make a purchase there of four salad/pasta bowls (my one splurge for our Girl's Toronto trip). I paid $25 for each bowl, for a set of four, and was really happy that they brought out a box with a set of four already pre-packaged so that I could bring them back to Florida on the plane with me securely. Much to my dismay, when I opened the box at home, there were only three bowls. Obviously, I was excited to have a complete four-bowl set! After several emails and phone calls, I've gotten NO WHERE with them. The manager at the Ossington location did take my call one out of the five calls (one call of which I was hung up on because they were so busy), however, she said because I was in Florida she highly doubted that corporate would send me the fourth bowl. She also said that they would email me shortly, and it's been several weeks and it's just crickets. I'm SO disappointed, because like I said, I chose the bowl set as my one special Toronto purchase, and had been searching for a bowl set for some time. Because of the terrible customer service, I have to give two starts. Buyer beware! I never make it to Toronto, so I'm just out of luck! read more
