Came by for a work lunch and was really happy with the recommendation from a coworker. The service was excellent as the staff was polite, attentive and patient. The dining area is roomy with nice sofas and chairs. Food was excellent as I didn't feel like crap afterwards. Would come back again for sure.
Pretty good place! Especially for a vegan restaurant! Overall: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 - a nice classy vibe, but still bright and open. Service: 4.5/5 - servers were really friendly and helped me with recommendation! Food: 4/5 I'm critical as I'm an omnivore. However, even considering that, I thought the buffalo chic'n wrap was great! Would've liked it regardless of if it was vegan or not. I've tried a few things at Fresh and would say this was probably my favourite from the menu. Overall, would come here again and get the same thing. Decently priced too because vegan food can be expensive.
Our first meal in Toronto after a long flight. Service was friendly, prompt and courteous. I think Rebecca was the name of the nice lady that helped us. We enjoyed every part of our meal. Food was fresh and tasty. Atmosphere is relaxed. Everything on the menu is plant based. Would recommend for a casual bite.
Fresh on Front is easily the chains nicest location, especially for a comfortable dinner. It's more spacious, and less cramped, and the high ceilings make even more so. (I remember first going to the location at Spadina and Richmond back in 2007! Always very cramped but we still loved it.) The menu is expansive and reasonably priced. Servers are always very kind and cool.
Really cute restaurant chain in Toronto. Lots of different locations. Got the cauliflower bites because they were a fave and they did not disappoint. They are a full service restaurant and juice bar. Shops, salads, bowls, smoothies, burgers, & light bites. Did I mention it was entirely vegan!! Food came out super quick and it was warm n fresh. Highly suggest trying out the food here. Easily identifiable gluten friendly items as well.
I came here for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't very busy! The vibe and decor is really cute. I ordered the protein bowl with noodles but they mixed it up and gave me rice instead. I also got a smoothie but they ran out of bananas, so the smoothie was bit sour (wish they used some other alternatives to made it a bit sweeter/drinkable). The buffalo cauliflower were pretty good and crispy. A good plant based restaurant with a handful of options to select from, but wouldn't be my first pick to come back to.
The service was good and the ambiance and aesthetic was nice but, the food wasn't that great. The garlic mayo was the highlight of the meal.
We came for breakfast and got the breakfast platter. Generous portions. Delicious. It doesn't get 5 stars because the staff kind of forgot about us after sitting us , took some time to flag one over. Second. One of the bathrooms was nasty dirty. 3. They forgot to do an omelette that was supposed to come with my dish. Other than that very good and will try again
I have had so many errors I the past year, including food that I was allergic to sent to me. The portions have dwindled, and I just found out that these folks who are committed to sustainability and quality put GMO canola in every single soup and every salad dressing except 3 (which contain soy). They also deep fry in canola oil. There are more processed items like beyond burger, JustEgg, Daiya-style cheese now, and more wheat in many new dishes. They also use Redpath sugar which has GMOs and is refined. This is just not healthy anymore. The juices are still organic + good, but expensive compared to others like Village Juicery. The food is vegan, but no health-conscious person could call any of "healthy". It's a real shame they're focusing on expansion instead of quality.
Neither of us are Vegan but I'd come back here in a heartbeat. The nachos were fantastic and tasted no difference. Hearty toppings. Loved my Ceasar! The tahini dressing was on point. I also asked for hot sauce which was really good. Exceptional meal and we had plenty leftovers for the next day.
One of my favourite places, always a great stop. Fresh juices, smoothies, and more. Love to sample it all.
My friend always pick Fresh after a workout to be healthy but he orders fried food and always get the cake after. Ended up eating unhealthy. So be careful what you order. I do like the food here it's simple and healthy. I like the tiger eye and always start with a the ginger balm shot. For me I like the Tiger or Powerhouse bowl, large. Big enough and very filling, especially after a workout. Ambience is casual and nice here, good background music and spacious seating. Good for business meetings, dates, and catching up with friends.
Popular vegan brunch spot. We got their bowls and had brown rice at the bottom. It was pretty good but I think overpriced. They have a lot of options but it was either just vegetables or too sweet like their french toast. The broccoli appetizer was a little too oily for my liking. It's a very nice spot for brunch with your friends but in terms of my preference for brunch food, it was not the best. Great service though!

I always compare Fresh to the bar and grills and find that Fresh's menu is not only so versatile, tasty, but there are so many healthy options and the food tastes fresh, not something just warmed up from the freezer. I came here tonight with my wonderful friend and I got their daily soup which was tomato and pesto with white beans (large) with a side of pita and salad with their tahini ginger sauce. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed during this respiratory season. The soup was actually so good and filling. I came here pretty hungry and left feeling very satisfied. Pita also wasn't burnt, it was tasty. Service was excellent and I would definitely return here. To note, this Fresh location looks more bougie than than other locations by a stretch! read more

By far one of the best vegetarian/ vegan spots I've been too. Starting with the decor, it's an instagrammers dream, plenary of colourful walls and open decor with plants all over the restaurant. Cute vintage decor with velvet seating Such a new and refreshing menu using a variety of new forms of vegan options to create delicious foods. We started of with nachoes which was made with cashew queso, this portion was massive and was more than enough for the 4 of us. If you were to eat this as a main you'd be full. We then got the bbq burger and two bowls, again portions we amazing for the price. We shared all the mains and took home plenty of leftovers. Best part of the bbq burger were the quinoa onion rings. We topped it all of with some pressed juices made fresh everyday and got a smoothie as well. Looking forward to coming here again! read more

Hi Nilu, thank you so much for the kind review! We really appreciate…
Great atmosphere and decor! Excellent service and amazing food. I love how generous the food portions are, how well the flavours go together and how you always feel satisfied having dined at a Fresh. We had the Buffalo cauliflower wings, the dumplings and a protein bowl to share. The Buffalo wings and bowl were our favourites. The dumplings were good, but the mayo / aioli they came with was a bit overpowering and too rich. Will be back! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! It is large and spacious inside with gender neutral washrooms. Pleasant decor and an open kitchen. So many vegan options, a gluten free menu and lots of juices and smoothies. Staff are friendly and do not rush you out. I thoroughly enjoyed my beyond cheeseburger and my friend's bowl was humongous! The food is fresh and delicious. I can't wait to go back to try other things. Great location on front street for pre show or pre game di read more

Hi Rita,…
One word, cute! This place had the cutest vibes and best decor. I loved all the details from the chairs to the light fixtures. I went for lunch and breakfast. The burger was delicious and I created my own juice for a reasonable price. However, the breakfast was very limited and my choice wasn't my favorite dish. Overall, I'd go back for lunch/dinner and highly recommend the donuts. #leslieapproved read more

Hi Leslie,…
This newest Fresh location is their biggest and most beautiful. Service is friendly, and food is great, healthy, uses fresh ingredients, and in subtantial portions as usual. They allow customizations in any dish you order, so you can add, take out, or substitute any ingredients as desired. They had a special feature on the menu - the "Beyond Meat Burger" with cashew cheese sauce. It's a different patty than the almonds & grains patty used in their regular burger selection. It was the bomb! Hopefully it stays and becomes part of the regular menu, instead of being offered for just a limited time. The crispy onions on the Ultimate Falafel Salad added a nice crunch and taste to the salad. The Macrobiotic Bowl tasted really fresh, clean, and delicious with the tahini dressing. Loved the inclusion of nori and beet sauerkraut in the bowl, since these are ingredients rarely found in other salad / healthy bowl places. read more

An expensive but delicious and filling meal! I frequented this fresh location a few times over the summer and it never disappointed! Like the restaurants namesake, the ingredients always were fresh and veggies nice and crunchy! Only complain is I wish they would give us more dressing since its so good! Always always order the buffalo cauliflower wings! read more
Great vibes & awesome decor (when the city was not in a covid lockdown) I always get the buffalo cauliflower! For drinks, hot ginger fireball is always amazing & the lattes with coconut milk. For mains my favorites are the smashed avocado toast, squash tacos, and salad protein bowl. The menus are extensive! Lots of vegan options along with healthy juices, smoothies and alcoholic drinks. read more

I've been to a few Fresh locations around Toronto and WOW! Every single one of them is amazing. Customer service is always on point. Food is always consistently delicious. Cocktails and smoothies are absolutely yummy. Their menu is large but not overwhelming. Everything tastes healthy, creative, and FRESH! If the good reviews haven't made it obvious already ... any Fresh is worth a visit. I go to one every time I'm in Toronto! And will continue to do so. Tip for parking .... most Fresh locations are in the heart of a downtown area. Park on a residential street, where parking is free, and walk! read more

Hi Katelyn, thank you for taking the time to write such a kind…
I love Fresh! I've been to most of the locations and visit the Front and Bloor locations frequently. Yesterday my friends and I (all with dietary restrictions) visited and none of us had to worry about the ingredients. The view from their new patio is great; although it was loud with the cars passing through, it was cute and socially distanced. We started by splitting a plate of nachos, and were pleasantly surprised by a MOUNTAIN! They were delicious, some of the best vegan nachos I've ever tried. My friends got the squash and cauliflower tacos, and I had a small protein bowl on rice. If I had enough room I would have also ordered the chocolate cake as it is a staple for every time I visit. YOU MUST TRY THE CHOCOLATE CAKE IF YOU HAVEN'T!! It is the topic of most of my dreams. Overall Fresh is my favourite go-to Vegan place in Toronto, you can't really go wrong and there's always something new/innovative to try on the menu. read more

Thank you so much for your kind words Celine! We appreciate them so…
I'm not sure how much of my paycheck has gone to the fresh chain of restaurants but at this point it's likely an obscene amount. I love Fresh. I'm a fan to the point of buying their cookbooks and bringing their juices and smoothies home. The bloor location has always been my favourite however the one thing I always had said to my significant other is that I wish they had some nicer more upscale looking interiors to go with the food because sometimes on a date night when you've sourced babysitters you really feel like going to a nicer looking restaurant that caters to a vegetarian lifestyle versus going to one of those upscale places and then finding two things on the menu. The interiors on this place have finally answered my prayers. It's a treat for the eyes without being pretentious and not to mention the menu I love and adore! We always end up getting various things from the menu but our go to Staples usually never change. The quinoa onion rings followed by the big salad or one of their bowls. From time to time I do try their specials and none of them have ever disappointed me. the reason I reduced a star is because lately they got rid of the fresh juice bar which I really miss. While the bottle juices are likely a better way of scaling their operation for them, plus the Vitamix blenders running would likely take away from the ambience.... It does however not taste the same. The fresh juices were one of a kind. I hope they bring them back!! read more

After a stressful first afternoon in Toronto, Fresh on Front was welcome relief. This strictly vegan restaurant is a cross between trendy and alternative. It's got a great, eclectic ambiance with brick and tiled walls, wood floors and jazz vocals playing in the background. The reason to go to Fresh, however, is the food. As the name implies, it is all fresh and creative. There is a large variety that even carnivores will be happy. We tried their crispy cauliflower tacos as an appetizer; they were outstanding - with avocado, beet sauerkraut, cabbage and more. We also tried two bowls with soba noodles. Both were delicious. We appreciated that they came in small and large because we were able to (order the small and) try the appetizer and leave room for an awesome carrot cake Take a trip to Fresh. You'll be happy you did. read more

Lots of pros and cons, but in conclusion I would definitely go back and this is probably the best Fresh that there is in terms of ambiance. Some of the Pros: they take reservations. Lots of choices so pretty much anyone you go with can find something, whether it's a smoothie, a drink, a sandwich - they have so many options. The food it pretty good, some items are definitely better than others and the prices can be quite high - you're probably looking at $30/person to have lunch here. The room is beautiful and the bathrooms are nice. Some of the Cons: their ticket time is 15-20 minutes (they told me that) - which means after you order, their standard time they assume it will take for food to come out is 15-20 minutes. If you're hungry, watch out, because 20 minutes is an incredibly long chit time, especially for things that don't require COOKING (i.e. no meat) - I got a bowl of steamed broccoli and it took 25 minutes to come out. Yikes. I am also ambivalent on the service, it doesn't feel very present and you have to wave someone down if you need anything. Yet their handheld machine prompts you for 18% or 20% (or "other") on top of tax, which I think it a bit ambitious for a meal that's already quite overpriced. Still....sometimes you just want a big salad. read more
4.5 STARS I've been to Fresh many times, but this was my first visit to this location. The inside is absolutely beautiful. Definitely the most appealing of the different locations. The decor is modern and trendy, and the space is open and clean. My boyfriend and I dropped by for dinner on a Monday night around 6pm without reservations. We didn't want to wait 30 mins for a table, so we opted for bar seating. I personally love bar seating because it's cozy as you sit next to your date. We ordered two cocktails to start: Gin + Flowers and the Muskoka Mule. The Gin + Flowers was just okay. It tasted a little watered down and it was hard to drink without getting flower petals in your mouth. The Muskoka Mule was delicious and we loved the candied ginger accent. For food, we got the Buffalo Cauliflower as a starter. It was absolutely delicious! I totally get why it's the most popular appetizer. For entrees, I got the Banquet Burger and my boyfriend got the Chipotle Mushroom Bacon Burger and we shared both. Both were great, but I preferred the Banquet Burger. My boyfriend usually gets the BBQ Burger and he said it is better than the mushroom burger. For dessert, we shared a slice of carrot cake which was amazing! It was so moist and the frosting was thick and delicious. Highly recommend! Overall, we had a great dining experience and would definitely be back! You can never go wrong with Fresh! read more

Our bad experience started as we walked in the door and the attendant asked if we had a reservations; we did not. We said we'd like to sit at the bar. We were told no there weren't any seats available, we needed a reservation. The bar was empty. We decided to order take-away. As we sat waiting for our order to be ready, two more people walk in, they're told there aren't tables available without a reservation and proceeded to seat them at the bar!!! When our food was ready the cashier apologized there weren't any tables available. I pointed out that we would have sat at the bar but we were told there weren't any seats available. She replied we don't take reservations for the bar. Really? The bar was practically empty. See picture. So perhaps the bar wasn't available for us. Maybe we weren't trendy enough? Or maybe he just didn't want to seat us. The food does appear fresh but the tacos lacked flavor. There was no sauces on them, they were dry and flavorless. We ordered overpriced falafel tacos (order comes with 2 for $13), overpriced squash tacos (order comes with 2 for $13), cornbread (2 tiny slices for $4), and a peanut butter brownie. The brownie was moist and tasty. There are many other friendly vegan establishments to visit in Toronto, skip this one. read more
Adorbs! The atmosphere is sooo cute and luxurious perfect for a girls brunch, just to read/study (yes they have WiFi!), to bring the kids (as long as they are not rowdy), date, anything! Such a clean, fresh, peaceful vibe! Love it!!! I'm not a vegetarian (steaks, fried chicken, yumm), but I am quite the health and natural foods nut who exercises regularly (and get hungry afterwards). And in my carnivore opinion, the food is great!! Very vegetable forward and they cook them well! Not to soggy or too raw. Flavors are bold with hearty home made sauces. You feel satisfied and just ... good! Not like you need to grab an ice cream or bucket of fried chicken after but not like just just ate a bucket of fried chicken haha. They also have a good list of fun cocktails! Have not tried the desserts (dubious of vegan desserts but I'll let you know if I ever work up the courage). Finally, service great. The people have the same happy sunny vibe as the place. Friendly, attentive, accommodating. Love love love! read more
