I'm a frequent customer of their FCP location, and was looking forward to eating at one of their full restaurants. The food at this location did not meet my expectations unfortunately. I ordered the First Canadian Place, which is my personal favourite of the salads, and found that while the dressing was good, the ingredients used were not that fresh. A lot of the vegetables seemed dry as if it was left sitting out for too long. The Earl Gray latte I ordered was also only okay. The staff here were friendly, and the restaurant itself has nice earthy nature themed decor, with plenty of seating. At this location, you're free to seat yourself anywhere you like, and required to place your order at the counter. The staff when the bring your food to you at your table when it's ready.

I want to preface that I am not vegan, but I absolutely love the Cobb Salad here. The chick'n and tempeh really make the salad. I was also debating between two dressings. The house or the 369 dressing and my waitress was kind enough to offer both to me at no extra charge. I also loved how their menu had a glossary and it described some lesser known food items on the menu. Everything from the service, food and ambiance was great. I am for sure coming back for the salad and hopefully I try out other items on their menu too!

I took a platter of all their desserts to share with my family tonight at my cousins birthday. I also took their two breads and kale chips home and am enjoying them. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed during this respiratory season. The soup was actually so good and filling. I came here pretty hungry and left feeling very satisfied. I was venturing around Union Station for lunch and came across Harvest Clean eats!…read more First impression was that they had a lot of options on their menu that also accommodated various dietary restrictions - lots of vegan and vegetarian options were available. I was craving a warm bowl and their new Spicy Miso Salmon Bowl caught my eye. The price of the bowl was on the higher end (~$22 before tax/tip) but not surprised as we're in the downtown core. I will say .. the portions were very generous and all the ingredients were very fresh! I was pleasantly surprised and am satisfyingly full. They had a lot of different vegetable options mixed in and the rice was nice and warm, reflecting the freshness once again. There were a lot of other items on the menu that I was interested in so I would be keen to return, especially for their smoothies. The ladies at the cash were very quick and helpful when I had some questions about my order. I got my bowl pretty quickly (~11:30 am) but can imagine this place gets busy. Luckily they do let you order in advance so may take advantage of that next time.

There are nine locations in the east coast. I ordered the Carrot Cake ($3.00). It was delicious! Even my son loved it. All their smoothies are vegan-friendly, made with coconut milk. There are no added sweeteners or sugars; they use juice from real fruits (banana or date extract) as sweeteners. Smoothies cannot be changed to take out the sweeteners. I also ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothie ($9.95). It is the only smoothie where you can choose to have yogurt instead of coconut milk. Of course I had to try the yogurt version, making it thicker. It was quite good. Even though it says banana in the name, you won't taste the banana because it was only used as a sweetener. All their food are vegan-friendly and gluten-free. If it isn't listed as vegan or gluten-free free, just ask them and they can make it as desired. All products are made on-site using fresh, never-frozen ingredients. There is a large kitchen in the back. Their matcha drinks are very popular, selling about 70% of all their drink orders! They have some nice touches. Their napkins are of such a good quality that it is similar to a cloth towel in thickness. But there are no garbage bins since most people order for takeout; just give you garbage to the staff. There are 4 small tables with 8 chairs total. There is lively music playing in the background. There is free WiFi from Union Station. The cafe is wheelchair accessible. I give it to restaurants that go over and above. In this case, it is a specialty restaurant that caters to people who live with and without celiac disease or wheat/gluten issues. Today, I started with the pork spring rolls. They were quite large. They were served piping hot and were delicious. The texture reminded me a lot of South American corn and tapioca style breads and breading. A large focus on tapioca starch which works very well in the spring rolls. I also ordered the back pepper beef, and the garlic black beans. I had no idea of the abundance and freshness of the food. Also served piping hot. I barely got through either of the dishes. At this point, I realized that one dish would likely be enough and I likely had enough food for a small family. Excellent value. I'm leaving with enough food for dinner as well. The place is clean, the staff is very knowledgeable, and everyone is very friendly. So, value, excellence of food and taste, ingenuity in creating foods that aren't usually available, while maintaining a close relationship to the original. Well done. Five stars. Bringing home frozen food as well for my wife and some.
