8oz Steak & Grilled Shrimp Skewers
Stan M.

My wife and I decided on Sizzler for dinner tonight. Initially, I planned to get the All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar ($19.95) but changed my mind and went with the steak and two shrimp skewers, adding the salad bar for an extra $9.99. My wife ordered the steak and lobster ($38.99). I started off with the salad bar, which is always a safe bet--lots of fresh options, and the watermelon and strawberries were very good. The Texas toast, however, was a letdown. It's definitely gone down in quality; the grilled topping was overly salty and not as good as I remember. I upgraded my steak to the 8 oz (for about $4 more), while my wife stayed with the 6 oz--but both steaks looked the same size. When I asked, I was told steaks shrink while cooking... okay, sure. Her meal was good overall, and she really enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes. My steak wasn't exactly medium, but close enough. The real issue was the shrimp skewers--they tasted overly fishy and were inedible. The waitress offered to replace them, but I declined. At the end, she kindly gave me an order of fried shrimp to go, which I'll try tomorrow and hope for the best. If you're coming for the All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar, I'd say yes--it's worth it. As for anything else, I'll probably stick to just the salad bar in the future. On the positive side, our waitress was friendly and checked on us often. Plenty of seating at 7:30 PM and TVs overhead if you want to catch a game. Restaurant was clean and the staff was constantly cleaning and restocking the salad bar.

Their AC is broken! Rarely come here, tonight it was at least 90 degrees. You cannot operate like that wtf. No ac truck outside working on it nothing. They do say at the register idk. Felt like it should be discounted trying to run being that hot. Then it's borderline fast food, very expensive for the portions.

We ate here for lunch my son and daughter had the lunch steak and my husband and I had the unlimited salad bar. Their steaks were good kinda small but I figured that's because they were lunch size but the flavor was tasty. The salad bar was fresh and fully stocked. We had an amazing server by the name of Deanna she was so friendly and always on top of clearing plates and bring refills. We will definitely be coming back.

My party was seated fairly quickly. Our waitress took all our orders by memory - we were a party of 8! I got the Chicken Marsala: Chicken, sauce, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I started off with the mixed veggies - they were cooked soft, just how I like them. They were also flavorful! Not just regular ole steamed frozen veggies, they definitely were buttered and seasoned or something. Next, the mashed potatoes. I'm not a mashed potato connoisseur - matter of fact, I usually skip eating mashed potatoes when they're available. These mashed potatoes however were so flavorful! And it was not only the gravy doing all the talking, it was both the mash and the gravy. I was impressed! Lastly, the chicken Marsala. The chicken itself was cooked to perfection, moist on the inside & fully cooked - and with chicken breast, we all know how hard that is to accomplish. The sauce was incredible. I have never had any Marsala sauce as good as that. So much flavor, very savory. Altogether, the flavors worked together and worked perfectly. If only I wasn't an hour away, I would come here more often. I hope to be here again someday!

Unfortunately the bread was not edible due to the taste of old grease. I simply discarded the bread and ate the 2 piece of turkey and bits of bacon. My son enjoyed the Tri-itip, but again the grilled bread tasted of old grease. He enjoyed the fries as well. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant, but at these prices, and the taste of old grease from the grill, I could not recommend this restaurant. The bill was $39.97 and we did not have anything to drink! Go democrats! Lol!

I showed up around 7pm and I thought it might have been closed because no one was here. But they were open. I ordered a Bauer burger with the house seasoned fries. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I think for the price point the burger should have been great, but sadly I can't say it was great or even good. I'd likely not return.

We all order different things off the menu. A prime rib, a sirloin steak, chicken parm, and George's burger. I had the burger with sweet potato fries. I'm not a BIG fan of sweet potato fries usually, but I was wanting to try something different. They were perfectly cooked! My burger was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The only issue, it doesn't come with mayo or Chipotle sauce like the other burgers.... So I did have to ask for that seperately. Delicious as always…read more My family and I decided to stop by Texas Roadhouse to use up some gift cards. This was on the Friday night before Valentine's Day, around 6:15pm. We called ahead to put ourselves on the list to be seated. We arrived at the parking lot a few minutes before our scheduled time, texted that we arrived, and were immediately told to head to the host table. When we got to the front of the restaurant, we noticed that they had a different set-up than the last time we ate there. Rather than checking in inside, you must meet the host outside. This did not seem to be the most organized system as it led to a large crowd of people waiting at the front. There was the vague idea of a line which turned out to just be a mass of people cutting each other to get to the host table. We quickly met the host who immediately sent us to the indoor waiting area. We were told to wait at a specific number for the host to take us to our table. We waited there for about 5 minutes before we were taken to the outside seating area. As someone who is young and doesn't mind loud music, I would say the volume of the music in there was outrageous. I understand that that is the vibe of the place, but I have never been in a restaurant so loud that I can't hear the person sitting directly next to me. Our waitress came quickly to take our drink orders, bring them back, and take our food orders. I ordered the nine piece grilled shrimp and substituted the rice for a Caesar Salad. For my sides, I got the Loaded Baked Potato and Mac n Cheese. The salad was brought out first and I was genuinely surprised at how much dressing was on it. I usually like a salad with heavier dressing, but this was almost too much. The salad was literally swimming in the dressing to the point of it being soggy. When they brought the entrees out, I noticed that they didn't actually substitute the rice and brought it out anyway (but hey I'm not going to complain)! The shrimp was nice and juicy. The rice was seasoned nicely and the mac n cheese with cheesy and hot. It didn't have the most flavor but it wasn't bad. The loaded baked potato was extremely loaded. I am grateful that they are generous with the toppings, but there was so much bacon I had to scrape some of it off. I was extremely satisfied with my meal, as were my parents who joined me. Our server was very friendly! She came by to check on refills and to ask if we needed anything often. The food came out quickly and as ordered. Everything was basically perfect! I would just prefer to not be seated in the stiff outside tables. Can't wait to go back!

Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, it took quite a long time for us to be sat. When we got to our table, the first thing I noticed was how large the booths were. If you are coming with a large party, you will likely be able to fit at one booth - this definitely makes this place feel more intimate. Despite the menu being very large, I must say, I appreciate that the there are photos of all the sushi rolls. The photos are definitely not the clearest but they help visualize what you are ordering. The menu definitely has a lot going on. There is sushi, hibachi, and all the side orders and bowls that you can imagine. Our table ordered the Crab Rangoons, Fantastic, Alaska, and Lion King Rolls. The rangoons were unfortunately deceiving. They are large, but have hardly any filling. They were almost entirely fried wrapper with quite literally a drop of filling. As for the rolls, they were alright. The texture of rolls was almost mushy. On some of rolls, there was so sauce that it was all you could taste and made the rolls soggy. The flavors were pretty good, but the portions were tiny. I felt the rolls were comparable to glorified grocery store sushi. When the rolls were brought to our table, my friends and I had to hold back our laughs when we saw the tray. There was a little whale figurine that spewed out steam. This novelty was cute but felt a little tacky. The service was somehow worse than the food. Our table ordered three waters for our party of three yet only two came. Our server said she would bring it to us later. Little did we know, this "later" would be at the conclusion of our meal. The one time she came by our table, she asked us if everything was okay. Before we were even able to provide an answer, she just assumed we would say 'yes' and walked away, making no eye contact with us. She literally walked away so quickly we couldn't tell her we were still missing a water. It felt like she was just avoiding any interaction with us. At the end of our meal, it took a long time for the bill to be brought to us. I don't see myself coming back in the future.

Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.
