We've been going to table 26 for years now, and have always been pretty pleased with a few minor hiccups here or there. It appears customer service has fallen to the wayside - I just called to try and place a togo order and was dismissed by the staff member on the other line and told to use the web app(through toast). However, the toast menu doesn't match the menu on table 26's own website. When I pointed this out to the staff member I was told that if I wanted one of those items I could come in and order it in person. I clarified that the person wouldn't accept call in orders and they told me they don't have the ability to do that(despite it saying on yelp that you can call to order). I'm not sure if the phone lines have been outsourced or something else, but any place that makes it this hard for me to be a customer has lost me as one. It's unfortunate as this used to be one of Turlock's gems for both food and service. read more

I have been a long time customer of Table 26 over the years. It was by far one of my most favorite places to go to. Head chef John was fantastic and always came to check on us. The food was always top notch! After the first ownership change, it seemed to have lost it's value a bit. I went last year and I'm not sure who was the owner at that time, but it seemed to be back up to par. A few weeks ago, some girlfriends and myself stopped by for dinner and drinks. My friend wanted an indigeny and we were told they were out and that the menu was most likely inaccurate regarding beers, due to how often they change them. She wanted a cider and was told dustbowl strawberry margarita is a cider. It is in fact a seltzer and not what she wanted. I asked for a mango mojito and was told they were out of mint. I'd decided to order anyway and when the drink arrived, it was not flavored at all. I asked if it was mango and he said no and went to change it, saying the bartender got mixed up. While it was better as mango, a mojito needs mint. One of my friends ordered fries and what came to the table was not what we would consider fries. It was slices of potato and I didn't find it to have much seasoning. Another friend ordered arancini and an artichoke, while the last friend ordered arancini with tomato sauce on the side. Her arancini arrived with the tomato sauce on the bowl and not on side as requested and the waiter took it back to fix it. The artichoke was not cleaned, leaving the choke (fuzzy part) in the middle and my friend had started to eat it. At $18 for an artichoke, it should be cleaned correctly. The anancini were tasty and I enjoyed both the tomato and the pesto sauce that accompanied it. Before we ordered our mains, the waiter came back to say they were out of burgers and the cut of steak for both the black and bleu and the Jack Daniel's steaks, but could sub a ribeye instead. Ribeyes were market price vs the $37 of those 2 items. I was going to get the black and bleu, but then decided I would try to fish of the day. It was a white fish with a cream sauce and baby shrimp over mashed potatoes and green beans and I thought it was done very well. The fish was flaky, the mash creamy and the green beans had just enough bite! I ended up ordering another drink, but opted for wine to make it more simple. One of my friends had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and she thought it was OK. While I had hoped for a better experience, I will probably return to see if things are the same or they were just having an off day. read more

I'd like to start off by mentioning the staff here is AMAZING. The host was super friendly when greeting us and quoted us 10-15 minutes but said it would most likely be less and it was. I had been seeing reviews on the Turlock To Go page for this spot for a while now and I hadn't been in years. So finally was able to come in last night for dinner. The server was super friendly and personable. She greeted us with a smile and made us feel like family. The food was delicious. Although everything we ended up ordering was different than what we walked in wanting to try. I had seen cioppino on their menu online and that was the main thing I was excited to try. When we ordered we were told they were out. We decided to get the Ravioli & Shrimp Scampi. After ordering the server came back and said that they were out of that too. Kind of disappointing going to a spot you are excited to go back to and just about everything you were hoping to try is out. We ended up settling with the chicken marsala & Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Both plates were good. Left me wondering what our original meals would've been like if they had what we were craving. The hot wings were yummy. We asked for extra crispy. Mac and cheese was 100/10. There is no doubt the food is good, but the service is really sketchy. Nice servers but some just aren't able to keep up. I'm not going to mention any names, but the owner was walking around talking to folks last night while his server was not doing his/her job. Service was a tad slow because they aren't usually bombarded right at opening with a large group and a few tables. So only one server was on duty for the first hour. The food here is made to order everything is so fresh and delicious. We got the bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms for our table to share and they came out perfect timing before our main dishes came. The bruschetta had fresh tomato's and tasted divine and the stuffed mushroom were full of flavor and sauce! We also got fresh bread for the table to share and it was delicious. When our table was done eating all the appetizers our food came out, perfect timing. I got penne Romano which was so rich and comforting. Everything was so flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the burger and it was really fresh tasting and delicious as well. They give really big portions here so we probably could have split something but it was worth it so we could try different things. Everything we tried was amazing. We've been going to Table 26 for quite a few years. Last night we went to celebrate my husband and mom's birthdays! What a great evening we had! I want to start with our server Cecilia N. She has a great personality and delivered some terrific customer service. Anything we asked her for she delivered and was so friendly and helpful! Our dinner was outstanding. First impressions are critical, so I'm happy to say that THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Service was perfect; smiling but not forced, friendly but not fake, helpful but not obtrusive, knowledgeable but not pushy. Our server knew her menu and how the food was prepared to help us make our choices. She checked in on us a couple times and let us know when our food was almost ready. She was available without hovering- not easy to do! Food was amazing; they cut their own steaks here and the trimmings are ground up for the burgers. My partner had the Classic Burger and added bacon. Probably the best tasting patty I've ever had without relying on the condiments for flavor! I had the Seafood Ravioli (crab & shrimp) in a lemony dill cream sauce with tiny shrimp on top. Simply delicious! Not a big serving and nothing on the side like rice or veggies, so if you have a big appetite then you'll def want to have appetizers beforehand. The total bill was $73 for 2 entrees and sodas without appetizers or tip so not expensive. Atmosphere; Number one is CLEAN! No inappropriate smells. Simple decor so not distracting from the food. First off, the ambiance and the service were great. We felt welcome from the moment we were greeted until we left. Our server, Daniel, was kind and didn't rush us as we took some time to chat after finishing our meal. The hostess (didn't catch her name) was warm and jovial. I really wanted to leave a good review for this place as I know businesses have struggled at this location throughout the years and I had heard some nice recommendations. My wife and I decided to test it out for ourselves on a rare opportunity to have the kids cared for and go on a date. Unfortunately, the date, while enjoyable at the restaurant, has ended with an explosion in the toilet and stomach cramps. We think the cause was the seafood pasta dish (ciopino?). We both had the poke nachos (which were delicious, by the way) and she had the Korean chicken bowl (which she enjoyed but wouldn't buy again). She's fine, thankfully. I love getting seafood pasta bowls typically and was stoked to see it on the menu, but if you serve seafood that causes this type of reaction then it's probably best not to serve it. Additionally, there was one inedible chunk of white fish (I think?) in the dish that I had to spit out. It was like I was chewing on a wad of paper. It dried out my mouth and was oddly fibrous. I don't know what that was, but it subtracted from the experience. I enjoyed the flavor (7/10) but wouldn't purchase again. Again, we wanted to enjoy the restaurant and support local. I'm sure the owner/manager (who kindly checked on us as we walked out the door) will make adjustments accordingly. I tried to find an option to privately email management about the experience so it could be dealt with without the poor review, but I found no option for that and can't in good faith leave a higher rating. For now, it was an overall poor experience due to poor cleanliness/freshness of the food. We'll hopefully circle back at some point and have a more positive review to share. We wish the restaurant future success! read more

Had some terrible dry, tough Rib eye & I was given a gift card by the owner to return. So, I went back about a month later at about 4:15pm right after opening hours. There were about 2-3 people in the bar area (not busy at all) and waited about 40 -45 min for our food. Upon ordering they said they didn't have baked potatoes, and an appetizer (stuffed mushrooms) I wanted. They said they would give me mashed potatoes with green beans which I was okay with. The 5p crowd was piling in and they were getting their dishes out to them. The waiter "Noah" kept saying, "let me check on your food for you" he must've told me that 3x! I was being very patient. Our food finally came out and there was broccolini (no green beans) on our plates. I ate it, but my daughter didn't. She didn't care for it, and was expecting her green beans. Our steaks were good! The waiters service was not great, he just seemed like he didn't care, had no enthusiasm, was very slow at everything he did. He took forever to bring our bill. He was busy with the other tables. When I got home I had watery diarrhea, stomach ache, and a headache. Very disappointing! I won't be going back.... They are under new ownership and service and food isn't the same! read more

Such a fan. I love the staff and the food. Best burger in town hands down the Kobe yum. Love their prawn and scallop pasta and Waldorf salad. Haven't ventured too much if I find something like I stick to it. But halibut special was amazing!!!!! The chef knows what they are about. I wish they were open for lunch or perhaps they are and close from 2-4?! Not a fan of that. It's awfully dark inside lots of black-- moody vibes but it's nice and clean. They big thing I don't like is being forced to eat in bar if you arrive at 7pm -- I know you close at 8 but some of us don't like tvs in bar and since I don't drink it's a thing I don't wanna be around. Please be courteous of other people's preferences 7pm is acceptable dinner time and I think sitting in dining room is normal request. Other than that great team service. Like this place. We came here tonight to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. To begin with, no bread was brought to the table--only to be told they now charge for it. Then, after ordering $40-$50 steaks, the server informed us they were out of mashed potatoes and only had baked potatoes available. The food wasn't that good either. Some plates were under seasoned while others were over seasoned. The service added to the frustration. Two servers came to take our order at the start, but neither seemed confident or organized. Our main server was not attentive, while another staff member who wasn't even assigned to our table ended up doing more by clearing plates. The only acknowledgment we received was a quick "sorry" for the inconvenience. After a long wait (waited over 1 hour for our food) due to another large "party" and a $350 bill, we left feeling very underwhelmed. A special occasion dinner should feel seamless and memorable, but this fell far short. We won't be coming back again. read more

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our party of 20+ Toastmasters, the food was off the hook delicious and fresh, and the location was easy to find with plenty of free parking. 2.5 I wish I could give it a 2.5 because it's right in the middle. Table 26 looks and feels like a fancy upscale restaurant but doesn't reflect that on the menu. Yes they have steaks at a market price but the other dishes seemed kinda like a typical pub feel. For example I ordered the chicken piccata and yes I was fine but nothing special. It was a very thin piece of chicken smothered in a cream sauce that was good atop a mound of mashed potatoes. I definitely wouldn't pay over $20 again for a piece of chicken that small especially in Turlock. Not a terrible place but there are definitely better places to eat. read more
