Great dinner to wrap up a long day! We were in town visiting from Los Angeles. Dinner time rolled around and we found Taste 26. We were seated quickly in what appeared to be the bar area which seemed equally as nice as the main dining area. We ordered a glass of a Meomi red and for a little fun we also picked up one of their signature cocktails (Fall N Maker's). Very tasty. Very subtle in flavor with a light sweetness and secretly potent. For our entries, the Grilled Prime Rib and Table 26 Rolled Chicken. Both were very delicious and very generous in size. We wrapped up with a small desert... yes, the traditional Molten Lava Cake. Rich and decadent. The service was also on point and very helpful. A great way to end the evening. read more

Kind of torn on this one. Went in on a Saturday night with reservations. Everything from drinks to appetizers to our meal took FOREVER. Ambience was nice. Food was very good--service was not. Our waitress had no energy or enthusiasm didn't tell us about specials or drinks or even ask how any of our food was. I was shocked honestly because we heard the waiter behind us delivering top notch service. I dined here about a month ago and thought my review was published but looking back it didn't post. I wanted to make sure to post because I have renewed faith in this place. I hadn't been in years because of a couple poor experiences. This time changed it around for me. It is under new management and I hope that is helping the positive reviews I'm seeing now. First, our server was lovely. Friendly and helpful. The back servers kept water filled and plates cleared at the appropriate times. Our steaks were absolutely delicious. Cooked to a perfect mid rare. Veggies were also perfect. I got green beans and a loaded potato. The only reasons I can't give five stars for this review is: One- our "mock tails" were good, but such a small glass for the price we paid. For the price, it might as well have had alcohol in it. Second- the appetizer we ordered was the Arancini. The rice was a little dry- almost underdone. The menu listed that they were stuffed with a smoked cheese. That cheese was no where to be found. Couldn't taste it either. I think someone forgot the cheese in ours or they have stopped stuffing them. I had them years ago and there was cheese once upon a time. Otherwise, a nice experience. It has been a minute since we last dined at Table 26 and I'm so glad we ventured back! My husband made reservations for our family to celebrate our youngest son's birthday. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The only drawback was the table. We were seated at a booth which was a bit cramped for our party. My husband asked if we could have a table instead but unfortunately the only other table was reserved. Not a big deal and we didn't let that ruin our evening. Our server told took our orders and our food was delivered very quickly. I always order the Mac and Cheese which is amazingly delicious. How I've never been here before is beyond me. As a local in the area, I am surprised I only dined at this local favorite until recently. From the food, drinks, and our server they all deserve some recognition for its amazing qualities. My girlfriend and I decided to go on a nice date and decided to check out Table 26. It is an American restaurant that has a great assortment of foods and drinks surely to attract attention of anyone. Our server was I believe named Ryan. Honestly, him alone made the experience amazing. He was so informative on the menu and gave his recommendations to us as we were first-timers. His attitude was professional yet funny at the same-time cracking jokes to us here and there. I can tell he is passionate for his work and it greatly shows. Our dinner was basically broken up into meals one-by-one, which is a nice change from having everything all served at once. We started off with bread, drinks, and appetizers. The ahi poke nachos and calamari were amazing! Great crunch to both dishes that weren't too heavy and we accomodated with sauces that really work with the dish. The serving portion is pretty generous as well and can easily feed 2-3 people. For the main entree we ordered the Seafood Ravioli and Jack Daniels Steak. The ravioli had such a great amount of filling and was cooked perfectly. I believe it contained shrimp and crab. The sauce had a nice zesty cream taste that really gives a good cut to the seafood. The Jack Daniels Steak I ordered to be cooked medium-rare. Oh my goodness..... this was probably one of the best steaks I've had in a long long time! It was cooked perfectly and super tender. Great juice with a nice sauce served with healthy vegetables. Every bite felt so peaceful and mesmerizing. We ordered a creme brûlée for dessert to end the meal. It had a great orange flavor and sweetness but not overbearing. The texture was great, light, and not too heavy. Main downside to this dish, the caramelized sugar layer on top was a bit too thick for my liking and very hard to eat. If you are still reading this, trust me when I say this place is a local favorite for a reason. Although on the pricey end, you get your bang for your buck. It is a nice break every once in awhile and can be great for romantic dinners or other celebrations. So treat yourself! read more

My Wife and I went on a date night there on Saturday night, we haven't been there in quite a long time because the last time we went the food and service was subpar, but it is now under new ownership and it showed. The Service was great and the drinks were excellent, and above all the food was amazing! We both order our Steaks rare and they came out perfect, it's difficult to get a rare steak at a restaurant, but they cooked our steaks to perfection. My husband and I went in tonight around 5pm 6/28 for a date night. We chatted with the hostess, sweet girl, we were seated. It was not crowded for a Saturday. We got our water and we sat there and we waited for a server who then proceeded to serve two other tables that were seated after us and get their drink order before coming to us. First time coming here and I will start by saying I will be returning. The service was excellent our waitress was very polite and attentive without over staying. The other staff filling our drinks were always on top of it and friendly. Multiple people catered to our table and all were great. Ambiance was also great the details were very much appreciated. I had asked for extra ranch for my salad and they brought it out right away on a decorative plate. Regarding food quality it was amazing. Food tasted great with no complaints. So we showed up to this restaurant at 230 pm on a Sunday and they close at 3 pm. Didn't receive any attitude about coming in so close to them closing. The server was really nice and attentive! Every meal was very good. I got the pesto chicken sandwich which was very tasty. My daughters burger was very good and tasted home made on a charcoal grill. My wife really enjoyed her Korean chicken bowl. The drinks were also top notch! This is a place you can come with the kids on a regular day or take your wife or girlfriend out on a date. So glad I finally tried Table 26 in Turlock, CA and would recommend it. Service was attentive, friendly and professional from the moment we walked in the door. I would encourage reservations, especially on the weekend. The food was good. My family and I started out with the linguisa bites and calamari. I ordered the bacon & bleu steak - which I thought was fantastic and well prepared. Would order that again. My folks got the burger and the rolled chicken. They were a little less enthusiastic as I was about my meal, but still enjoyed it. Maybe I'll encourage them to get what I got last time. The ambiance is nice. Clean. It can get a little noisy at times... so, if you're sensitive to that, perhaps come on a week night... but I didn't find the sound level annoying. Straight off Yelp while on the freeway on our way to an event this weekend coming from Bay Area... pleasantly surprised my husband had the burger super juicy apparently delicious. I'm always wary of ordering chicken and never do but got the chicken Picatta which was perfectly cooked. I ate all my veg it was perfectly cooked too as were the potatoes. Our server CeCe was great and patient lol thanks CeCe!!! Hostess I did not get your name but nice to feel so welcomed when you walk in. The shrimp pasta was absolutely tasteless. The Farmers market salad would have been delicious, had they not put whole apples and whole grapes in it. They should slice the Apples and cut the grapes in have ( not toddler safe). Put the salad on a plate, not in a tiny soup bowl, where you can't get consistency of everything in a bite. Just left Table 26 after being there 2 1/2 hours for dinner of 5, a birthday dinner for my husband. The service from our server was great but unfortunately they were short staffed and our server was busy making drinks and serving tables. This made for a long wait for our first round of drinks, and dinner came out about an hour or so after our appetizers. Its proper etiquette to wait for everyone to get their plates of food to start eating however due to the delay in our food coming out we started without all the plates being brought to our table. My father in law got his plate of pasta last which by that time my mother in law was almost done with her ribeye steak dinner. The reason for this review is due to the manager not even acknowledging the excessive wait time for our dinner, yet he made his rounds to other tables including the table next to us that had recently got seated and apologized to them for the wait...wtf! An acknowledgement is all I really would have hoped for, especially after spending over $400. The food was great, service was extremely slow but the service from our server, Daniel, was great. Went here last night, Valentine's Day. The restaurant was packed, always great to see but it was obvious the staff and kitchen were overwhelmed. The hostess was clearly frazzled and not the most professional and could have been supported with at least an additional staff (or manager?) we got seated with no menus given. Sat there another 15 minutes before our waiter arrived and handed us menus. No drink/wine list. Menu was limited in options to help kitchen staff work more efficiently (in theory). Ordered drinks and an app quickly, the arancini bites were pretty good and drinks took forever (30-45min passed) to come out but good. We ordered our meal as soon as the appetizer arrived at waiters recommendation. It would take another hour until our food came out. no breadsticks, bread/butter offered to keep everyone's hunger at bay. Food quality was good and came out hot when we finally did get it. We got the ribeye and the chimichurri steak. Waiter never mentioned dessert options and completely forgot we had asked for a soft drink and after nearly 2.5 hrs we didnt care and wanted to leave. Didnt feel like a valentines dinner vibe (no candles, dim lighting, music choice not great), just a really busy/chaotic friday night understaffed. The restaurant def overbooked themselves and staff couldnt keep up. On a night where its obvious to everyone things are slow and at the prices everyone paid for their meals, id expect a manager or two to be making rounds at the tables keeping guests happy and helping out. A little over a week ago I had dinner at this restaurant. My family treated me to dinner in celebration of my retiring from work. The whole evening went very well, from the service, to the food, to the ambiance of the place. I just wish I had taken pictures of the food to share, but I forgot to take them. 3 of us got the ribeye steaks, one got the chicken Marsala, one got the chicken piccata, and I got the seafood pasta.
