Breakfast does not have to be complicated to be memorable. The sausage, egg, and cheddar English muffin was everything you would hope for--fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and miles beyond the fast-food version. After a few bites I added Tabasco and Cholula, and it took an already great sandwich to another level. The homemade chicken soup was flavorful and comforting, and a cold Corona with salt and lime rounded everything out perfectly. One thing I really appreciate about Harvest Moon is the atmosphere. It is peaceful--almost tranquil. You hear conversations around the room, but they are the kind of quiet chatter that makes a place feel alive without ever feeling loud. It is comfortable, unhurried, and the kind of environment where you can simply enjoy your meal and be present. A special thank you to Johnny in the kitchen for putting together such a great meal. It shows when someone takes pride in what they do. Shout out to Lindsey for the friendly, attentive service. She made sure everything was just right without ever making me feel rushed. And thank you to Lyssa behind the bar. She was so busy I actually had to ask who Lindsey was, but despite juggling everything going on, she still took the time to make me feel welcome. Good food, genuine people, and a peaceful atmosphere are a hard combination to find. Harvest Moon continues to get all three right. Easy 5 stars. read more

I've heard so many good things about Harvest Moon and have been wanting to try it for a couple of years. I finally got the chance today, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience. I waited 45 minutes for a salad, and when the waitress finally brought it out, there was so much lettuce piled on top that the chicken rolled off onto my lap. Now I have buffalo sauce all over my dress. Then I walk outside and find a $70 parking ticket on my car because apparently the parking lot isn't actually their parking lot and you're not allowed to park there. Definitely make sure you know where you're parking if you visit, because apparently parking in that lot can get you a ticket. After waiting so long for my food and then dealing with the parking situation, this was definitely not the experience I expected. I won't be returning. read more

Arrived at opening time. The hosts were very welcoming and sat really quickly also took my drink order. In regard to my server she came dropped off my drink order took my food order, dropped it off then never saw her again. Never came back to check up on me or ask if I needed anything more. I used to go here all the time. The food is really good and close to my home, so I'd bring a book to read on a lunch by myself. The waiters were always a little short with me and inattentive, except for the lovely lady who also bartends on the occasions I was sat in her section. The experience would balance out. When I dine alone, this is almost a universal experience which makes sense - a family of four will simply need more napkins and refills, so I get it. I thought to bring my sister and her best friend here for lunch. No host at the front, maybe three groups ahead of us waiting for a table. No big deal, we've all been in customer service and we're okay to wait. No one greets us. A group is seated, the waitress stares at me, my sister, and our friend, then turns to say something to another lady working there. Great, maybe shes the hostess and we'll be seated! Nope, she just stares at us too and walks away. One of the men waiting for a table sees this and points to the list of names by the register. He tells us, "They're taking down names there. The pen's there, so I think you just write your name down." My group looks at each other, then my sister's friend asks him if he's sure. No staff has given anybody waiting any direction. He shrugs and says "Well, it's what I did." So was this group was not greeted as well? Alright, onwards we trot. My sister's friend, as per the only information that had been shared with us since we entered the establishment, went to write our name on the list. The second she picks up the pen, the hostess(?) materializes from the kitchen and snatches the pen out of her hand. The hostess begins to tell her off, and my group again looks at each other. We leave. What a sh*tshow. She felt especially disrespected by the way the hostess grabbed her hand, and honestly the optics of a white hostess/waiter/whoever yelling at the only asian woman in an establishment will keep me from ever going back. I never expected or experienced something like that before, and I feel ashamed that I brought someone I respect to a place that made them feel so belittled. Good food. The grilled cheese tasted like a charcuterie board because of the jelly and the burger was perfect. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This is a nice place to eat downtown. I haven't been here in years. I really wanted to try some menu items I found out was on the weekend only, need to come back then. The sampler plate was decent. The shrimp was good, the chicken skewers were good and the sweet potato fries were surprisingly very good I usually dont like sweet potato fries. The waitress was nice enough to explain which of each three sauces was and for what to dip in them. I truly appreciated that, I always wonder which sauce is for which. We ordered the French Dip to share and the Deluxe Crab sandwich to share and once again they was so nice to put them on separate plates already which was very convenient. Our waitress Honesty ( yes that's her name haha) was so good and paid attention to every detail. I was very impressed with her skills I had to mention her by name. She kept checking on us if we needed anything and just did a perfect job to be honest ( no pun intended, her name Honesty, get it haha). The French dip sandwich was in my opinion just ok, not bad but not anything to write home about. The garlic fries were good and the fruit was a good healthy option. The Deluxe Crab sandwich was stacked high with crab meat thus the $42 price ( which I didn't know the market price before I ordered, I wish I did, I wouldn't have spent $42 on one sandwich ). The Deluxe Crab sandwich normally comes with bacon I had it removed because I dont eat pork. The Deluxe Crab sandwich was just ok. I wouldn't order it again especially for its extremely high price but not even if it was half the price. It just wasn't that tasty to me or my son's friend who shared the other half. My son did like his outback omelet I tasted it and thought it was good as well. The outback omelet also came with catchup dip for potatoes and apricot jam for English muffins im guessing, but it was a nice extra. Pro tip: the parking lot right next to the building durning the week is not to be used for Harvest Moon customers unless you park in handicapped spot with proper handicap parking permits. I believe you can park there on the weekend. Also ask what current market price is before you order the Deluxe Crab sandwich and make sure you feel comfortable to pay that price. read more

Came here the other day with my boss. We ordered a salad and Cajun pasta. The salad was huge!!!! We had to use two containers to take it home. The Cajun pasta was yummy but a little much for me. I personally don't like the long strings of onion but it didn't ruin the dish, just a personal opinion. The restaurant was cute and the staff were all so friendly. This sandwich was amazing! Pretty big, it was enough for me and my wife to share (they split it in two plates for us). The bartender Sherry was very friendly and made good bloody Mary's. Came here on our way to Yosemite. We had the crab salad which was so huge and had so much crab. OMG the salad is well dressed and had croutons, bacon, and a ton of crab including claw meat. I ordered the fish and chips which also was huge. I could only at one of the large pieces. It was a bit oily for me. The garlic fries was totally killer. I also couldn't eat it all. Came to Harvest Moon for a work lunch and I plan to suggest Harvest Moon for future work lunches. I got the Argentinian with a fruit salad and the sandwich was great but honestly the star of the show was the fruit salad. I don't think I've ever gotten a side fruit salad that has been impressive, but this was a large side with top tier fruits. Normally a fruit salad is pretty bland, cheap, unripe fruits - not at Harvest Moon. The mango and pineapple were perfect with a great selection of berries. My coworker got the Cajun pasta and thought it had a great kick. The portions were hearty and we took half our meal to go. The staff is super friendly and super on top of it - my drink refills were always on the table before I even thought about needing one. The place is pretty cramped but in a cozy, local way. I love this place! Been going here for years and have enjoyed every plate. The burgers are juicy and cooked just right. I had the Frenchie and my brother had the crab Louie but in a sandwich with bacon! Both were sooooo good. Our waitress was pretty amazing as well. We ordered some garlic fries before our entrees and she brought everything out as they were ordered making all our food super fresh as we were eating. She was so sweet and it made our lunch experience just that much better. I love the decor in this place and the setup. Makes me feel like I'm in Berkeley at a little brunch place. This place has been on my list since I've seen it on TikToks raving about the crab sandwich. Upon entering they were busy and the entry way was crowded, but they seem to take people back quickly. It seemed cramped inside and I wasn't a fan of the layout and noise so we opted to sit outside. The outdoor area is cute with some benches and chairs. Outdoor area is dog friendly. The service was quick and very friendly ! Server was attentive as well and offered us refills/boxes in a timely manner. The food was great. Garlic fries were really garlicky and the salad was huge. They are on the pricey side my mom got a chicken sandwich with side salad and I believe that was around $19. This place was okay even though I really wanted to like it more. We always pass by this restaurant whenever going downtown and the art outside has always caught my eye, so we finally had a chance to have brunch here over the weekend. I also don't know if we just entered the wrong side of the restaurant, but as we entered, there was this table smack dab in the center of the room with a giant box and many pieces of packing material, so that was a strange welcome to a dining establishment. Service was great - fast and friendly. The food was only okay. I ordered a cajun pasta and cajun dishes are known for being able to burst with flavor, but right as the dish was handed to me, I could immediately tell that the sauce was watered down and tasting it confirmed so. The bread that came with the dish was good though. My husband also thought his sandwich was okay. However, I did really like the side salad I ordered (the house salad I believe) and their fries were quite yummy. In any case, my husband and I were glad to finally try this place but I don't think we will come back any time soon unless the flavors improve (maybe we will come back for the sides though lol) read more
