Very cute neighborhood gem. Has a bar in the back of the restaurant, somewhat small but holds quite a bit of diners. We had the monkey bread French toast (can't remember the name exactly as it was the special) it had walnuts and a mixture of breads made into a loaf and then sliced. Service is great, all of the waitresses are kind and welcoming. Great location in the heart of downtown Modesto. Will visit again! read more

This is an excellent spot for lunch. I highly recommend the food and drinks. They have really good service although they get really busy so you have to be patient on that and but I highly recommend this spot for lunch, especially if you're in the downtown area. read more

We really enjoy coming here especially for the breakfast sandwich and eggs benedict's. My favorite has to be the fries. One thing though that has been on my mind is when we try calling for take-out on Sundays. They act like it's the biggest inconvenience of their lives. They will have us on the phone and every time we've called they're hunting down the manager and asking if it's okay to order for take out and we consistently have heard "Ugh, we're not supposed to, but I guess" Additionally, they will just close their door dash on Sunday's also. I am such a picky person, if it's not perfect I am whining and making my table mate miserable. I also eat vegetarian most times, I love fish, eggs, cheese etc. meat not so great. My daughter brought me into this cozy place, so welcoming and just darling. She recommended the vegetarian sandwich, oh my gosh, it was amazing, tasty and filling. I couldn't believe how savory it was. So told my brother about it, we came in for breakfast and it did not disappoint, had egg Benedict, he had an omelette with beef, we both could not have asked for a better meal. My daughter and I had a really good early dinner here at Harvest Moon. The portions are big and their staff is friendly. It's a small space inside, but it has a home feel to it, maybe because it once could have been or because it has a very welcoming vibe. The music they were playing was great from Aretha Franklin to Whitney Houston and others, not at all loud, but pleasantly heard. We forgot our left overs and the waitress who took our order ran out and gave us our left over container. Our sweet server Honesty was great, she was spot on in her suggestions and she was awesome with our larger group that included several small children. I got the gorilla sandwich. $70 parking ticket for parking in the lot that is connected to the restaurant. No one verbally told me about this issue until after my food was served. I was parked for 10 minutes when I went to check before I even got to enjoy my meal the ticket was already there. Of course after I got my ticket they started telling every customer about the parking situation when they walked in. Would have been nice to know. First time trying this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. Overall relaxed vibe and the food was good. We went during lunch on a Friday afternoon and it was a bit busy but we were sat right away. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and was very impressed with the flavors! It is a huge portion so I was able to take half home with me for lunch the next day. The pasta comes with a salad as well. The house dressing is amazing! Omg !!my steward had the tri tip sandwich and really liked it also!! The lady that served us was really great made me a peach tea that was tastie ! The ambiance was good and the place was packed. I always order the grilled chicken Neil's Toss. I ordered for the first time a To Go Order and was so dissapointed. The salad was $26 and was half the serving as when you order in the restaurant ( the produce, not the meat). I look forward to my leftovers when I order in and get to take home the rest. I can't remember for sure, but I thought you usually get sourdough bread to go with it, and I didn't get that in my order either. I even tipped ( not the whole 20% bc I picked it up). All in all, it was still delicious and it won't keep me away, I just won't ever order that to go again. read more

Not tender or freshly cooked. The roll it was on crumbled a bit as I bit into it, also probably a day old or older. The sauce with jalapeño's was not spicy. I could go on....
