I was glad to see there was a Texas Roadhouse here in the Modesto area. I worked my crew kinda hard today, and they deserve a nice dinner. I know Texas Roadhouse has enough different foods to please everybody's different tastes. I called in ahead and got my name on the waiting list. This is the way to go so you don't have to wait in line a long time. I saw all the raw steaks on display as we entered, and sometimes I pick out my particular steak from the case and let them know. This time I just went in and will order at the table. We get seated and drink orders taken and those tasty bread rolls appear at our table. My guys are hungry so they dig in to those right away. This Texas Roadhouse dining area looks very similar to most all the locations. We order, I start with some appetizers for the crew, the loaded potato skins. I get a ribeye steak, as do some of the other guys. One guy gets the pork chop. We all get Caesar Salads with our meals. The food arrives and it all looks good. My steak is cooked as ordered. At least no one at the table ordered their steak well done! Texas Roadhouse is a good choice when trying to please more than you and one other person. Service is friendly and efficient. I can't say enough great things about this place. We recently had a bit of a crisis when my daughter accidentally left her beloved stuffed animal (Baby Bear) behind. As any parent knows, this is not just a toy, it's everything. We were heartbroken. Not only did the staff find her, but they went completely above and beyond in the most thoughtful and creative way. When we got her back, Baby Bear had her own name tag and even photos of her hard at work around the restaurant. They turned a stressful situation into something magical and unforgettable for my daughter. It meant more to us than they probably realize. On top of that, the food was excellent and the service during our visit was just as wonderful, friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. This is the kind of place that truly cares about their customers. We'll absolutely be back, without Baby Bear as she is officially on house arrest! Delicious as always. My family and I decided to stop by Texas Roadhouse to use up some gift cards. This was on the Friday night before Valentine's Day, around 6:15pm. We called ahead to put ourselves on the list to be seated. We arrived at the parking lot a few minutes before our scheduled time, texted that we arrived, and were immediately told to head to the host table. When we got to the front of the restaurant, we noticed that they had a different set-up than the last time we ate there. Rather than checking in inside, you must meet the host outside. This did not seem to be the most organized system as it led to a large crowd of people waiting at the front. There was the vague idea of a line which turned out to just be a mass of people cutting each other to get to the host table. We quickly met the host who immediately sent us to the indoor waiting area. We were told to wait at a specific number for the host to take us to our table. We waited there for about 5 minutes before we were taken to the outside seating area. As someone who is young and doesn't mind loud music, I would say the volume of the music in there was outrageous. I understand that that is the vibe of the place, but I have never been in a restaurant so loud that I can't hear the person sitting directly next to me. Our waitress came quickly to take our drink orders, bring them back, and take our food orders. I ordered the nine piece grilled shrimp and substituted the rice for a Caesar Salad. For my sides, I got the Loaded Baked Potato and Mac n Cheese. The salad was brought out first and I was genuinely surprised at how much dressing was on it. I usually like a salad with heavier dressing, but this was almost too much. The salad was literally swimming in the dressing to the point of it being soggy. When they brought the entrees out, I noticed that they didn't actually substitute the rice and brought it out anyway (but hey I'm not going to complain)! The shrimp was nice and juicy. The rice was seasoned nicely and the mac n cheese with cheesy and hot. It didn't have the most flavor but it wasn't bad. The loaded baked potato was extremely loaded. I am grateful that they are generous with the toppings, but there was so much bacon I had to scrape some of it off. I was extremely satisfied with my meal, as were my parents who joined me. Just wanted to give a big shoutout to this Texas Roadhouse location for their exceptional service on Thursday night despite them being so busy with all the families of many graduates . We had a party of 12 and were told it would be a hour wait but we waited about 20-30 minutes and while we were waiting one of the employees came out and handed free bags of peanuts to everyone. They had the outside decorated with graduation decorations and had a cute Photo Booth with props set up at the entrance . We were all seated and our drink orders were taken right away we also got 6 baskets of their delicious bread which I thought was very generous especially with how busy the restaurant was . Our server took our appetizer and entree order right away and surprisingly our meals were out in less than 30 minutes. All the while our server and other employees all seemed happy to be serving everyone despite being so busy . This was my first time eating here and everything was amazing! From the customer service to the vibe to the food. The place was hopping for a Wednesday a little after 5pm. I put me and my son in the waitlist in the mobile app just in case, and we were immediately seated upon arrival. The restaurant was busy. My son had the regular butter covered rolls, but they brought out a basket for me without any butter on top. So hot. So soft. So pillowy. I could have eaten the entire basket! For our mains, I chose the 6 oz Dallas Filet Mignon (simply grilled with no oil or butter), medium rare. For the price, this was definitely top notch for filet mignon! My sides were steamed vegetables with no butter/oil. I do not like carrots, so I just ate the four pieces of broccoli. And then I got the fries. OMG. Some of the best fries of my life. So thick, crunchy on the outside but melted like butter on the inside. And the seasoning on top was so good. I love that they keep a bit of the peel on it too. Let me tell you what...it was hard limiting myself to eating only 4-5 of them! My son got the 16-oz ribeye, medium rare with corn and green beans as his sides. His steak was cooked perfect and he ate all of it!! We were taken to a table quickly - our server - RAVEN, was right there to take our drink order. Took our appetizer order and we had them promptly. The Deep Fried Pickles are a hit (we have had them in the past but we have not been to the restaurant in a while - we live 45 minutes away from this location and 30 minutes south of another). Visited Texas roadhouse tonight for my husband's birthday, we had the most awesome waiter named Philip. He made our experience there extraordinary. He was pleasant,organized friendly top his game. There was six of us and all of our orders were correct and quick. He came back to our table several times to check on us with such a positive attitude. The restaurant was very busy so we were very impressed. Food was hot and delicious. I must say we've been to this particular Texas roadhouse before and we always thought that it was just a little too loud but tonight things were perfect. I will never return to this Texas Roadhouse house ever!! I came by my first time and my experience was so not worth my time for a Thursday afternoon. Parking is horrible I really don't know where all these cars are for because it doesn't seem like people were really going in to Texas yet had parking that was far and not enough handicap parking at all. They also charge you for tipping and so you need to for sure push custom just to put .01 cent. I was only there to buy their bread which is still at good deal but free there if you sit in but the butter they give was just not enough and they will charge you if you want more. I will now only get their bread at the Texas in Tracy because they are a lot faster and more generous. I had to wait 15 mins for the 2 dozen of bread. I honestly think the way I was treated here must be much worse inside. I tipped when I didn't want to and waited for something that is normally free inside and paid for it yet got a miserable experience. They ran out of bread so we didn't get served any until half way during our dinner. Their "road kill" is false advertisement - the menu states, "chopped up steak" with onions and mushrooms and when it arrived, it was literally just a hamburger patty with onions and mushrooms on top. Hamburger patty was drier than the Sahara Desert and had zero flavor. Service was subpar at most. Very slow and inconsistent. The blooming onion was the smallest I've seen. The service was good. The food didn't sit well with me or my husband- and I barely ate a 1/4 of mine. The low rating is for the dangerous volume of the music playing. At first, it was obnoxiously loud and we couldn't hear each other talk. I just figured that's how they like it, and I can't complain about it (I don't own the restaurant!) We ordered food to go and this is what I see when I opened the container. The sandwich is literally falling apart. The pork is not shredded at all. Instead is in big chunks of meat that I will now need to be eating with a fork and knife instead of like a regular PULLED PORK sandwich. There is absolutely no bbq sauce on this it is very dry, and no ketchup was given for the fries either.As you can see in the video as well it only looks like there are fatty pieces of meat. I used to order either the pork chop(s), or BBQ chicken with loaded mashed and corn. However, since discovering their country vegetable plate, this is my new go-to dish of choice! I like the fact that I can choose up to four sides. Why? Because their sides are amazing and choosing only two with my entrée is difficult. They state on the menu you can only have one salad as a side, which is fine by me. I can barely eat the whole thing anyway. It is delicious with egg, cheese, and homemade (in house made) ranch dressing on the side. I'm picky about my ranch dressing, theirs is sooooo good! Last time, I ordered the applesauce, loaded mashed potatoes (comes with butter, cheese, bacon, and sour cream), and buttered corn. I used to order the mac and cheese too, until they decided to make it homemade. I don't care for it anymore. The Kraft mac and cheese was actually better, in my humble opinion. I tried the loaded sweet potato once, but I cannot remember the verdict. I think it was just alright. The assorted veggies (carrots and broccoli) are a good choice too. However, I like my broccoli steamed so it is soft, and they haven't got it down yet. I don't like to send items back. So, I decided against it last time. The dinner rolls and cinnamon butter are wonderful! You can ask for regular butter if you prefer. They will also accommodate you if you don't want butter on top of the rolls, it just takes a little bit of time. The ambiance is fun! Every once in a while the staff will line dance in the bar area. The music gets loud! When it is someone's birthday, they will announce it by getting the whole restaurant to yell on the count of three: yee-haw! They used to have a saddle that guests (usually children I think) could sit on and use a napkin to swing around their head. They haven't had the saddle since Covid. :( Several of the wait staff are awesome! We have our favorites, for sure. Oh I almost forgot, early dine in, is an awesome value!! You recieve the same portions as normal, it is just a few dollars cheaper. Early dine in used to be $8.99 per meal, I think it is now $14.99 per meal. Steak was nicely seasoned and juicy. Ribs were dry but the flavor was good. Rice was undercooked. Veggies undercooked. They kept on leaving bread at my table not even asking for it. I had 3 T baskets of bread when I left and only ate 2 pieces of it. Noise level way too loud. Way too much yelling and screaming for my liking. It was a steak house and it had all this noise.
