I can't decide if my favorite is the tri-tip or the pulled pork, and don't get me started on the Mac & Cheese. Today's lunch was no exception and I'm even more excited because we booked Rub BBQ for our daughter's graduation. Even with short notice the owner was able to accommodate. First time trying this truck at Grub Hub in Modesto. So delicious will definitely be back. The rub on the ribs is so outstanding, probably best I've had. I like ribs that don't need sauce and that's what I got. Chicken and hot links were good as well. The Portuguese beans were delicious. Not a fan of the potato salad. Needs more Mayo less mustard. Tried this delicious dry rub bbq at Modesto's Grub Hubs downtown off 9th and G street and couldn't be happier with the food and service. My wife and I shared the tri-tip/chicken combo plate with the potato salad as a side. The rub on this bbq is the perfect balance of sweet and savory with just a touch of spice. My boyfriend and I stopped by the Grub Hub in Modesto for dinner and decided that this was the spot for dinner. We placed 2 orders with the choice of 2 meat which comes with a side. We both chose Portuguese beans. All I can say is they didn't provide enough food. I only got 3 pieces of pork rib and 3 pieces of tri-tip. My boyfriend got 3 pieces of pork rib and a small portion of pulled pork. The total came out to $30.75. They charge an ATM or credit card fee of $0.75 which by the way, I believe that any business that uses these merchant card machines should always pay for the fees. Today when I checked my online banking, I saw that I was charged $35.36. These douche bags are dishonest. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SERVICE! This food truck was at an event I attended last week. The food was the only thing good about the whole night. We tried the tri-tip and pulled pork sandwiches with fries. Both sandwiches were delicious! The fries were also really good. Everything was fresh and the sandwiches were huge. The guy working the truck was nice and got our food out quickly. Went to Modesto Grub Hubs Cause my wife was hungry and did not know what she wanted till she saw the Rub BbQ. She ordered the Tri Tip sandwich and a side of Tator tots. I joked about her being a 3 year old cause thats usually who eats tator tots. We got our order in a timely fashion and left. As we were driving away i could smell those tots and had to have one, which turned into me eating more that half of them. The tots were so hot and seasoned i could not stop eating them. My wife ate her sandwich and said it was probably the best Tri tip sandwich she ever had. We finished our Business downtown and stopped back by RUB and got another Tri Tip Sandwich for dinner later and I got the loaded tator tots which were unbelievably delicious and the owner remembered me calling my wife a 3 year old and joked about me being a 3 year old now.
