Glad I found this place. Great food. Brisket was tender without falling apart. Meat was tasty without the sauce. Was sad they were out of pickles that day. A must try. #spicemeister approved.

Excellent food with fast friendly service.. Casual outdoor seating but we're a jacket in the winter because it gets cold out here in Hughson. I love the ribs and the spicy cowboy corn . Never can go wrong with the cornbread either...I llike to heat it in my airfryer for a lil crunch oon the outside.

Guy at the window was very personable. Made sure I didn't get anything spicy. We had 3 ribs. A sausage, A tritip sandwich, brisket and pulled pork and corn bread. Sides were Mac and cheese, baked beans and cowboy corn. Everything was great. Serving size was decent. Cost was $118 with tip. Worth it. Only thing to make it better would be soda refills. Corn bread was amazing!!!!! We will be back!

CATERING! When my Hughsonite brother passed away, there was only one choice to cater the reception for his memorial service in Modesto - Slick Fork BBQ. If I could give 10-stars out of 5, I would. Adam Bradley was phenomenal to work with. And, the food was, as I've experienced over the years, top notch! Everyone raved about the tri-tip, tender chicken, mac & cheese, potato salad, etc. We expected 225 people, but 325 showed up. Thanks to Slick Fork's generous portions, we had plenty of food...people went back for seconds & even took food home! Adam & the team kept the line moving with precision & pleasant demeanors. Your next wedding, birthday party, corporate event, or even memorial, call Adam at Slick Fork BBQ. They. Are. The. Best.

Brisket Mac, Chicken with potato salad.

Ordered the Chicken plate with Potato salad for the girlfriend, she really enjoyed it. I got the Brisket Mac and it was super delicious. The meat was super tender, well seasoned, smothered in bbq sauce. The Mac was cheesy and gooey. It hit the spot. The fresh onion and slices of pickles pair great with the dish. 10/10 would order again.

The hours of operation should be fixed on the app. Drive all the way over to this spot to find it closed down.

I got the chicken my husband got the tri-tip. Both were very good. Quite pricey, but good for an occasional treat.

Best real Q around. They are cooking it there not heating it out of a box. Good simple food is hard to find

When we arrived for Mother's Day, we…read morewere initially treated rather rudely by a young gentleman named Matt, who told us we did not have a reservation when we know we did. We had to regroup and were headed to another place when we got a call back from The Fruityard stating that they had our reservation down under a different name because it was written down wrong and could not be deciphered. Matt was very rude to us at the beginning when we checked in a very condescending tone. He should definitely not be THR person who greets guests when they check in as his demeanor is deplorable! What saved the day for us was our server, Shelley, whose constant attention and sense of humor were fantastic! Her menu suggestions were all spot on, our water glasses never got under half full and she brought smiles to all of our faces. We all enjoyed our menu choices, and the salad bar was fantastic as always!

My husband and I were seated all the way in the back by an exit door when other tables were available. The decor and look of this place is old and not in a charming diner sort of way. It does not feel clean. The little pond out front needs fresh water, little water covered in algae in there currently. The food was bad. We both order tri tip sandwiches and the meat was chewy and dry. The fries were ok. Even my iced tea was overly sweet. Next time I am in Modesto, I will try a different restaurant.

Bernard was our server and he did an excellent job at helping us during our time. The bartender made our drinks perfectly, and the food was beyond expectation! We are from the city neighboring so we have never made it here, but we came for our 10 year anniversary and were so glad we decided to check it out. Myself and my partner have worked in restaurants for a couple decades and I will say the food, drinks and service were all so good. We were so impressed by the entire experience and it's been a while since the food, drinks and service have measured up! Thanks Bernard and staff!

We decided to get out of town for a date night and ended up at Roth Social. After reading some Yelp…read morereviews mentioning unfriendly or inattentive staff, I have to disagree. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away and promptly seated (I had a reservation, but honestly didn't need one around 8:30pm--there were several tables open). For drinks, I ordered the 1915 Elder Fashioned ($20) and my wife had the Peaches and Dreams ($20). Both cocktails were perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious. We started with the Argentine empanadas served with bone marrow and chimichurri--two good-sized empanadas for $24. Great flavor and a solid way to kick things off. For my entrée, I ordered the hanger steak cooked medium--it came out perfect. It was served with Roth Fries, which might honestly be the best garlic fries I've had in a long time. Fresh garlic, Parmesan, parsley... just done right. The steak was topped with chimichurri and came with two dipping sauces--everything worked. My wife ordered the Kung Pao Street Noodles with grilled prawns ($36), and she loved it. Overall, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a standout experience. Our waitress, Janet, was amazing--super attentive and helpful. Whenever I asked about dishes I saw coming out, she was more than happy to explain them. We'll definitely be back.
