    Dry mac n cheese

As you walk in place looks clean! The young girl at the front has no customer service at all! We ordered the tri tip and beef brisket. They were cold. I had to ask to warm it up. Im used to brisket tasting smokey. It has very light smoke flavor. Their Mac n Cheese is dry. The potatoe salad is not tasty. I feel people rave about this place. Been wanting to try it and was so disappointed!

If you're a BBQ lover, this is your spot. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in, but this place delivered big time. I got the ribs and pulled pork with potato salad and cornbread on the side -- and let me tell you, not a single bite disappointed. The ribs were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of smoke. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and flavorful without needing extra sauce (though theirs is solid too). The potato salad had a creamy, fresh taste with just enough herbs and crunch. And that cornbread? Golden, moist, with honey drizzle -- total comfort food heaven. Portions were generous, the presentation was rustic and appealing (served on a tray with butcher paper), and everything tasted like it was made with care. Will absolutely be back. This is the kind of BBQ that makes you want to plan your next cheat day around it.

ABSOLUTELY mouth watering meats. The only time ive had better bbq smoked meats is when I smoke it myself. The food is phenomenal. I had the 2 meat meal with ribs and tritip... cooked to perfection the ribs did not need sauce but I had to try their sauce anyway lol I also ordered as sides mac n cheese, and corn bread both excellent an done right. We also ordered a smash burger which had 2 patties some sauce ,pickles cheese and bacon BAMMM! Mind you it was just me and my 15yr old son and we put that food back. We couldn't finish all the food but we gave it our all. Calling all CARNIVORES if youre in the mood for some bbq smoked meats yal gotta give these guys a try. I thought they were a little pricey but after eating there I will be back time an time again. And money will never be a problem if yal serve it up like that!!! Smacking, Slammmin,Bangginn FIRE BABY!!!!Think i got the meat sweats

Ribs beans and I think bbq sauce

I'm giving them 4 stars I really think it's 3 with room to be 5 but the loaded michelada was so good I have to give it a 4. Get it with Pacifico. The ribs were really good melt in your mouth. If you have a first date where you want to get to Know someone bring them here and eat on the patio it's big and private and comfortable. The guy in the store or two guys are a little too serious and could lighten up other than that this place is great. Most likely I will send my son I. To get more food next time I want some

Happened to be in Turlock and decided to order at Big Vic's BBQ from a friend recommendation. I ordered online using the Big Vic app ( definitely get it) and placed an order for pick up. This is my second visit and had tried the pork ribs and tri tip. This time I decided to get the Pulled Pork and the Brisket with the sides of the Ranch potato salad and Mac and Cheese along with spicy BBQ sauce as a condiment. Let me be frank, when you open your styrofoam container, you get presented with items that's not Instagrammable. The pulled pork was wrapped in a foil (no sauce on it) and same goes with the brisket. I've ordered take out at other BBQ joints that plates it without foil but once you know how it's given for take out at Big Vic's, it's not a big deal. Something I wanted for first time people ordering it to go to be aware. When I finally got home, I plated it myself to make it more presentable when I shared my meal to my friends (refer to pic). Even though it was a 20 min ride to get home, when I finally did dig into my bbq, it wasn't hot temperature wise, so I don't think you get it straight from the bbq pit. It was luke warm on eating. Not a big deal for me but wanted to put out that expectations if you order it for pick up. I have to say though besides the temperature, it was pretty good. The pulled pork with the spicy BBQ was great..: not too hot but a good kick to it. I thought the brisket was good also. I definitely enjoyed my meal and there was plenty left from my 2 meat platter that it can be shared with one other or have leftovers. Overall, one of the better BBQ places in Stanislaus county and one I would go back

Updating these reviews because their homemade tortillas are amazing!! Only reason they aren't five star (1) ordering online is rough. They don't update their items. (2) I'll never forgive them for us ordering peanut butter pie a week before my 50th birthday and then letting us know the day before they don't have it. No attempt to make it up to us. But I'm still a loyal customer.

Food was excellent. Would've liked to have seen some sort of vegetable on the menu but not always common at BBQ places. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area. It was nice and shaded. Not too hot even on a July day. I'm not from the area but would define a return customer if I lived closer.

They've got two picnic tables under tents and a small parking lot (about 10-12 spots), plus plenty of additional parking just across the street within easy walking distance. I ordered the 2-meat combo ($25) with brisket and ribs, choosing collard greens and baked beans for my sides. My wife ordered the tri-tip sandwich with yams and baked beans. They were cool enough to sell me a 1-meat plate instead of forcing the combo, which saved me a few bucks--and I appreciated that. There's a $1 credit card fee, which didn't bother me at all. My wife loved her meal and said it was a lot of food and everything tasted great. My brisket had a nice bark and a legit smoke ring. The ribs were tender and fell right off the bone. The baked beans were solid, but the collard greens really stood out--some of the best I've had at a restaurant. Prices are average for BBQ, portions are generous, and I had enough left over for dinner later. You can tell this is real BBQ--they've got a huge BBQ pit smoking meats, and it shows in the flavor. The BBQ sauce was very good. The two guys working inside were friendly, answered all my questions, and made ordering easy. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be back.

Definitely should be served with butter and honey though. Combo - Chicken - good seasoning, better with the sauce. Pulled pork - not salted. Definitely needs sauce when you enjoy. Adults, people with little kids, people drinking booze they brought from home, etc. Beers were $1 and $1.50 a can, so I'm guessing that's a huge draw. I do appreciate being able to throw them back without breaking the bank. The band was 3 guys who sorta/kinda knew which keys to play in, but again, not worth the drive. Make sure to wear a LOT of bug spray, consider carpooling with a DD to make parking easier, and plan your bathroom trips early since there is only one sad unisex bathroom inside, and a port-a-potty outside.
