This place was hopping on a Thursday at lunchtime. A sweet young lady took our order and we patiently waited for lunch. It was De-vine! On the expensive side, but so yummy! We'll be back!

    Grease in flat pretzel bun

Food was greasy and inedible, fries were just grease filled potatoes, porkstrami was just a big fat grease ball.

I had been eyeing this food truck for a while, I was in the area today and excited to try it. So glad I did!!! I got the potato salad and pulled pork, incredibly delicious. Sad we got in a little to late to try the pizza Mac & cheese, it got sold out. Just means I will have to come back soon so I can try that. The lady that took our order was really nice and explained to us what they are known for and what is good. They had a little set up that you could sit down and eat there if you wanted as well. Prices are very reasonable!

pork pastrami on a pretzel bun with mac and cheese ( mustard sauce heavy)

I wanted to try something new ... and i seen this place.... My Frist thoughts it's for a young trendy crowd....hate to say Millennial Hangout... if they slapped a couple of coffee machines in..it would pass as a Starbucks...lol Don't get me wrong it's a nice place.... just felt different... cheese graters as lamps.... made me think it's a sandwich and salad shop... why cheese graters?.... anyway I order the pork pastrami sandwich on a pretzel bun with mac and cheese... they have tons of beer on tap... and little bitty glasses for the beer... I guess its for the working man.. so when they go back to work they don't feel like a alcoholic...... I just had water... maybe I order the wrong thing... or my expectations was too high .... but it miss on many levels.... 1) was way to mustard heavy.. it wasn't a French's mustard... more of a mild Dijon kind of mustard... but each bite I took I had to wipe my mouth and my finger everytime.... I was using some napkins there ... haft way threw the sandwich I was tired of the mustard taste ... it over power the meat... 2) the pork pastrami... neat concept... but a swing and a miss .... some meat fell off my sandwich... so I tried it with out the mustard.... when I got that pastrami flavor for a second, then the pork over ran it telling me there pork in my mouth .... I just wish I had more of the pastrami taste... but in the sandwich I didn't taste it much ... the mustard was rolling around in my mouth like a dirty little pig...lol 3) the pretzel bun. Was soft like a pillow and Fresh... easy to bite ... that would been great for a white roll.... but for a pretzel bun .... swing ...strike three... it didn't have a pleasant cracker-like flavor, a crisp, brittle texture.... it didn't feel like they use a hot alkaline solution to dip the dough in to get it that pretzel flavor.... it had the brown look to it ... but the flavor wasn't there.... I bet they water bottle it on before it went in the oven ... to really get that taste you have to dip in it a water solution (baking soda) for 20 to 30 seconds... so it can catch that taste of a pretzel... to try a ok pretzel bun... try winco pretzel sandwich... and that's a supermarket making a sandwich... it's not great ... but it taste like a pretzel.... 4) the mac and cheese..... good ... just a twist on mac and cheese ... for a upper class restaurant.... I would of love it .. but wow it was snowing breadcrumbs on it ... way to much ... I mix it in to see if i could fix it ... i should of turn it on its side and scrap it off like burnt toast... the taste was great ... and just enough to make you smile with your sandwich but .....but.... all those breadcrumbs.... mess it up ... All in all ... Millennials are going to flock to that place just because the atmosphere and those tiny little beers... it will make them feel like a English gentleman... lol Take my review with a grain of salt.... will it be a fad? Or the monster deli of the Millennium outcry... we will see ... to that I say good day Sir...

Alton & Guy sent me. Guy Fieri has steered me wrong in the past. But Alton Brown? Never. If it weren't for those 2 professional & high profile endorsements, the Food Fix truck & I most likely would never have met. And that would have been a shame. Because this is one fantastic pastrami sandwich. Yes, the carnivores in the Central Valley can rest assured that when the call of pastrami beckons, this is the place to answer it. The porkstrami. All kinds of delectable & delicious, & dazzlingly showcased on a house made pretzel roll. The hot dog did not disappoint. Flavorful & juicy. It's nice & simple, just as it should be. Quality meat doesn't need embellishment. There was a wait. I see in previous reviews that this is common. We didn't have a time restriction, but take note if you're on your lunch break or in between appointments. Speaking of lunch... Daytime hours only! You have from 11:00 until 3:00 to indulge in the best food truck in this town. 4 stars.

Hot dog with side of salad.

Looks like this food truck business has found a home. Nice basic spacious understated place with indoor and outdoor seating. Great service, interesting menu, and wide selection of beer. The beer-battered fish sandwich was delicious, but a bit too much bread for me. The clam chowder was creamy and delicious. The hot dog with salad was another nice filling meal. Good place for a quiet lunch without a lot of crowds since it is off the main street.

Quality food at a fair price

Please be mindful that there was only one person taking the orders and cooking/prepping the food. I don't know if it is always the case, but he got it done. Of course, there was somewhat of a wait. Now that I am thinking, maybe I was just ready to tear into the food and that there wasn't a wait. LMFAO. This is what I ordered: #21 Roberto Clemente and some Empanadas Carne. Need I say more..... I stumbled upon this place one day while doing my random walk, so you KNOW I had to give this place a try. I had went in upon opening time, so my wait was a little bit, but I was not complaining because you know what they say: "Greatness comes when you build them up one by one." I got their hamburger with the extra cheese, and curly fries. The patty was extra juicy, and the brioche buns were toasted really well. I especially like how they added on the cheese after the patty was marinated on the grill for quite a while, but not too long to the point all of the juice was sucked up. The only down side to the food: the prices. Be prepared to spend quite a bit on lunch if you decide to go to this place, because they do end up charging quite a bit more than what the regular places around Downtown would. But the IPA beers make up for it, so it's also worth a bang for your buck. Hospitality was pretty top-notch -- my order was taken in an orderly fashion, and they even apologized for the wait as well. I hope Scratch Cookery stays around for a long while so that people can try out such majestic wonders this establishment has to offer! Ambiance was great, and I'd definitely be back again!

The Good: * Friendly service * Prices aren't too bad considering the portion size and flavor. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Craft brews in cans * Seven levels of heat for everyone from the spice-averse to the hardcore fire lover. * Chicken sandwiches are massive and delicious. And despite it being a breast, they kept it very juicy. * Really loved their fries; I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're frozen, but regardless, they're fantastic. The Meh: * Not much in the way of drinks except for the aforementioned beers and cans of soda. The Ugly: * It's located in DTSJ, so you'll most likely have to pay for parking. There was even some line dancing going on in the makeshift stage area at some point. Sound was not the greatest, the volume quite low even for a small event, but it was fine. There were about 8 food trucks to choose from, along with a few random vendor/service tents (like Bass Pro Shops). Decided on sliders and garlic fries from the Curveball food truck. The food was okay, good enough to satisfy my hunger (see my separate review on that). I snagged one of the few spots in the grass with shade on this hot evening, though they also have tables and seating here, partially shaded too. An actual restroom (not porta potties) on site, in the Fremont downtown event center building. Also, plenty of space available in the parking lot. There's access to the clean and private bathrooms at the event center, which is a huge plus for families with young children. The food vendors (food trucks) were great and covered a diverse group of cuisine. Some more reasonably priced than others, but they were all very delicious and fresh. There's also a beer stand where they were collecting tips for scholarship programs.
