Found lipstick on my husbands coffee cup when we mentioned to our waitress she claimed it was probably permanent lipstick. And the dishwasher missed it. But I touch it with a napkin and it smeared right off. Very freshly put on Changed tables and our spoon was dirty at the next table with his cup of coffee!!! Maybe not a good Monday.. but we miss our waitress Carly She was a fantastic server. read more

I ALWAYS have such a great experience at Perko's Cafe in Riverbank, and a huge part of that is because of the amazing manager. His name is Ron! He truly goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome and taken care of. I usually go to the Perko's on McHenry, but by far, I would rather drive 10 extra minutes just to come to Ron's location. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and his team. He's attentive, professional, and always checking in to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's rare to see someone so dedicated and positive, and it really makes a difference in the whole atmosphere of the restaurant. Service is always friendly and efficient when he's around, and he handles everything with such a calm and kind attitude. Managers like Ron are the reason people keep coming back. You can get great food in most places but you can't always find great service! Thanks Ron and staff for being so GREAT! Highly recommend stopping by for their great food, the great service, and exceptional experience! And try their strawberry mimosas! (Thank me later.) read more

Dropped in for brunch was busier than expected but we were greeted and seated right away . Put in our drink order and put in our food order shortly after that . I went in today with my boyfriend. The server was a wide man who took our menus and started walking away before we can even spit our order out. Then huffed and puffed when we requested things on the side ? He was just rude overall to us but overheard him being overly friendly to everyone else? read more

We love Brandi!!! Her customer service skills are top tier and she's always attentive. Food is good, great place to eat with family. The older man that seats table needs an attitude adjustment I overheard him talking down to another employee, very uncomfortable / disappointing to have to hear that. Other than that try the fried steak and eggs, and hamburgers! read more

Great senior menu. Very hearty breakfast and delicious food. Waitresses are spot on. Very friendly great training and customer service.

This is a great choice for American fair in Riverbank. It is always very very busy. 9 times out of 10 we have gotten great service and our orders have been correct. Prices here are quite fair and they have been really great about adjusting their menu for my dietary needs. This is for sure the first place we think of when we wanna go to breakfast. However, I highly recommend the chicken strips as well! this is definitely an all ages kind of diner. It can be quite busy in here, so give yourself time we get there to possibly have to wait! read more

Staff is very hardworking and friendly, and the food comes out in a decent enough time, but is pretty lackluster. I shared a Chili Verde omelette with a friend and it came with two different sides so the price was very reasonable for the amount of food we got, but the omelette itself was a little plain and not very flavorful. Waitress was very kind, though. read more

Went during Sunday rush and had a short wait. Place is packed, but worth the wait. Waitress was on her game and knew the menu very well. Helped us with our order. We had a Patty Melt and the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. For as busy as they were the food was delivered hot. Food was very tasty and delicious. We've been here a few times since moving to Oakdale, and is worth the drive. Can't say anything bad about the place. Even the bathrooms were clean, waste baskets emptied regularly, hot water, paper towels. Whoever owns this restaurant is definitely on their Game! Very very good dining experience!!! read more

This review is for Diana who was our server this past Sunday. What a wonderful waitress, not only did she approach us with the most pleasant attitude but as busy as she seemed she did a wonderful job multitasking her tables and prioritizing her duties. Her demeanor really blew me away, it's not as often you get a burst of delight in servers. It was important for me to recognize her and the incredible impact she had! Thank you Diana, I'll be honest if I ever visit again I will only want to sit in your section, keep up the great attitude, you are seen and appreciated. read more

We sat down and waste 20mins, waiting for someone to take our order. Another couple came in 10mins after us, and they got their drink orders and food orders before we did. I wouldn't recommend to anyone...not even the people I don't like. 0 stars if I could give that rating read more

Over priced steak and it tasted like soap . I don't know when this place went down hill .i get the price hikes are because of inflation but at less for the price do better read more

I haven't even gotten my food yet and this place already deserves 10 stars!!!! CARLY & STEVE are so amazing and were able to accommodate me and my pup with their patio seating. They were both so sweet, welcoming, and eager to help with amazing attitudes!!! Just have to throw that out there before anything else!! Anyways, the patio was locked up because it's still winter and not many people are sitting outside right now. Steve and Carly had to search through all of their keys to help me access the patio. Once I sit down outside, Carly immediately shows up to wipe down the table that I was sitting at & Steve quickly follows her with a bowl of water for my pup (which I didn't even ask for!!). Seriously outstanding customer service!! If big boss man is reading this they deserve a raise, or a bonus -- treat your employees as well as they've been treating your customers!! PS- food came quick and is delicious, but it's the customer service that i'll be back for! THANK YOU CARLY & STEVE!!! read more

Food was amazing and our server was so nice :) I do wanna make a recommendation on the pasta!! I got it today and I think maybe they should put just a little less pasta and then a little more sauce. The pasta was so much that I don't think a lot of sauce went on But it was really good :) read more

Food was ok but the service was terrible. We had a party of 9 and no one checked on us, no one asked about refills or even asks if we needed boxes to go. Had the service been better I'd probably go back. The fact that we had to get up to ask for a to go box and flag a waiter down to ask for refills didn't sit right with us. I could understand if they were busy but they weren't whatsoever. Disappointed read more

Perkos on Mc Henry....not a good experience....Christmas Eve we went in and WOW we just wanted to have breakfast US MEXICANS YES I SAID US MEXICANS we ordered our food and we could feel the tension ...I never been served so fast and the bill thrown at us at the same time ...it was so unreal I felt like we were in the 70s like whites only ‍never going in there again.... worst experience ever read more

Ordered online so I wouldn't have to wait. I walked in to pick up and no one was in line. I can clearly see my boxes of food ready for me. After asking 3 people to please grab the food I was ignored for 20 minutes. Now food is cold. I took 30 seconds to hand me my food. Very upsetting read more

This place is good for breakfast but that's all I recommend. Went here for dinner the other day and ordered a steak and shrimp dinner that came with two sides in which I picked mash potatoes & gravy and Mac and cheese. The food was completely cold. The mac and cheese was boxed Mac and cheese (was not homemade). The gravy wasn't made fresh either and it was the gravy from a packet where you just add water to it and the shrimp was also bagged (the frozen kind that you just fry or microwave). All in all the dinner was not good. I recommend this place only for their breakfast items and some lunch items. They also have this bad habit of brining your check as you literally eating still and or they bring the check immediately after barely brining your food to your table. read more

We used to come here regularly. We've been doing take out with most restaurants for the past couple years. Ordered today and got told it would be ready for pickup in 20-30 minutes. At the 45 minute mark it still wasn't ready. The staff was rude in telling me it wasn't ready. So I'm changing my previous rating on this place. read more

Working in town this morning and had about an hour to wait so I decided to have some breakfast. Nice friendly staff. I asked the girl that seated me how the chicken fried steak is. She said it was really good. I asked if they made them at the restaraunt and she said no but they were still good. She was right. Most of the time when they are premise, they are just bad, flavorless breaded cardboard. These patties were at least 1/4" thick or more not including the breading. I would get them again. read more

My best friend and I went here the other day and the server, Carli was amazing ! Genuinely happy and nice . I ordered a shake but saw the lemonade after , even though she made the shake she was ok with not charging us and just giving the Lemonade, we got both because I can't do that, the point is she didn't seemed annoyed or rude at all when I changed my mind, (I am sorry i did though!) she was very police and courteous, the food however was BOMBBB, i got the biscuits and gravy with the eggs potatoes bacon mixture, and I am legit CRAVING it again; I didn't get a picture because I truly just devoured it. They have another lady who works there with red hair and she throws it up So cute , she rang us up and she was super nice and friendly as well, over all a great friend experience and time , we work graveyard and this will fersure be my place to go to after work ! Can't wait to try the mimosas next time ! Ps Carly sorry we only had 6$ on us to tip will fersure be leaving extra next time! read more

We entered the Perko's cafe at approximately 7:46 in the morning. The waitress didn't ask for our drinks until 7:58 and we didn't get out drinks until 8:05 AM. I was going to leave an okay review but here is the thing. My wife asked for a straw from the waitress and the waitress promptly told us they were out. Yet the next person who was seated after us asked for a straw for their water and was promptly given one. Unless you're getting a senior discount it is not worth the price. I would recommend any Denny's over this Perko's read more
