Yesterday my family and i visited sizzler , it's been years since i've been here yet it's still the same. We got greeted by a lovely young lady Malaak she took care of us so well , checked up on our meals , constantly removed plates so we can continue helping ourselves to salad bar , refills without even asking it was all so amazing we felt comfortable food was great and Malaak's service is 11/10 will definitely be coming back soon in hopes she's our server again. read more

I wanted a salad bar. For salad, this place is fine. The 2 "hand-crafted" salads were also good, but overly dressed. The rest of the salad bar is sub-par food. The pasta salads and such just don't taste good at all. The broccoli cheese soup tasted really OFF, like it would make you sick later. The hot bar items -- fried chicken wings, taco bar, and soup station -- are poor quality food. Not even the desserts taste good. For $13 and change, it just isn't worth the cost. Finally after the pandemic the Sizzler is open....Gee, we missed the old familiar salad bar. All of its salads, baked potato, delicious rolls. and not to forget "the chicken wings! WARNING! price has been raised $ 4.00 more and worse yet, no wings, it seems they cannot get them due to a shortage. Really?...no delicious rolls that were baked in their kitchen...I was told by their corporate office, " not enough help to make these... And finally no baked potatoes. Of course for an extra fee you could buy one. It seems to me raising the price on this salad bar is essential to them. Yes, understood, however, where is the items that were removed in the name of availability, and or not enough help, or the potatoes were too expensive to add to the now raised price of $4.00 We and many of our friends will not support this kind of abuse. We have all decided ( 30 in total) not to bother with their excuses, after all they are not the only salad bar in our city. and they do not charge $16.99 for an excuse. read more

Spouse, me and our 9 year old kid went for a Saturday night dinner and we weren't disappointed. It turned out better than expected. The kid loved it. Dining room was clean bright and comfortable. No place to put our coats while dining. I do miss coat racks. Service was friendly, correct and punctual. Spouse and kid got salad bar and I got salmon and a one trip salad bar bowl. By far the best Sizzler I've been to. The decor is decent. They actually seat you! No other Sizzler does this anymore. I ordered the (Angus Beef) Porterhouse steak medium rare. Our server assured me that if our steak wasn't cooked to our liking she would have it replaced. Needless to say, it was cooked perfect. Two stars but barely..reasons: one for cordial attentive server Maggie, and cashier, and one for presentaion. It looked good .We had the rib special. The ribs were tasty at first but some were tough , and they were all cold. They gave us a large portion, and the quality was as expected. My spouse had vegetable medley which was cold, underdone and un seasoned.the "butter" was vile, and I suspected it was trans fat based oleo. I paid an extra dollar for asparagus thinking the amount of veggie would be somewhat equal but I would get a more expensive veggie. Instead I got 6 very short thin barely done asparagus covered in unsavory oil and tasting like a dirty grill but the only item served hot. I'm so sorry to have to report this because I have indeed had good food here a few years ago when we got steak and lobster with butter that tasted great. Nothing seemed fresh. It was close to closing time, but the price wasn't adjusted for old food. We dine out almost daily and often twice in a day eating everywhere from fast food places, deli sandwiches, to ethnic cuisines and fine dining. If we haven't been to an establishment, we check Yelp. I try to let others know where to find delicious food and where to be cautious. The corn on the cob served today with our meal was rubbery and horrible. We politely sent it back apologizing before and after but the replacement was almost as bad. I don't know how they managed to make it so bad. The county fair can make great corn. Why oh why can't this restaurant do it. The cheesy bread was good, but we only got one each. The floors were covered with bottle caps and debris, but they swept some of it up as we dined. I liked getting a wet nap, and the server kept us in napkins and water. The parking is right outside in an attached lot. The bathrooms were clean and just fine. The server said the manager would stop by.to hear our complaints about the inedible corn But that never happened. read more

We were really excited to get the all you can eat salad bar but what a disappointment. No sourdough bread by the soup bar, no whip cream by the pudding, no chicken wings,... cheese bread an oily mess, the " vanilla ice cream or should I say ice milk, was a light lavender color, we asked server if it was vanilla? When my husband and I are undecided on where to go for lunch while out and about, we end up at Sizzler's on Dale Rd, in Modesto. We always have a great experience. Our food is always fresh. The salad bar always clean & presentable. The soup station always inviting. Never a bad day when we stop for lunch. Our absolute best / favorite thing to report is our (personal server), so we like to think. 'JESSICA' is fabulous, polite, attentive, respectful & considerate. Jessica is always smiling, no matter how busy she gets, she will stop to listen to ur needs/wants and she delivers. JESSICA rocks at Sizzler's. Well this should be interesting... is what I thought when my Grandma asked to go to Sizzler's for Mother's Day. Here's my take of this unusually run chain. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.. the service really is fantastic but I can't in good faith 4 star the kitchen. The servers and hostesses are all super nice and on point. The food has it's winners and losers. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone absolutely scrumptious! The jumbo shrimp and steaks are edible but not worth the cash or time (rib-eye or standard). Baked potato is pretty good as is the side mushrooms) Vegetable medley is meh. The salad bar is pretty good and the ice cream is great. The parmesan cheese bread is Amazing! The waiter will ask if you want it and do not pass it up! If we come again it will be all cheese bread, ribs and potato for me, maybe some ice cream too if I got a sweet tooth. Our family loves Sizzler. They have really good food. This Sizzler is very good when it comes to food and decor. We haven't always gotten great service. The service is not consistent and could be described as hit and miss. You are left sometimes waiting for your server to check on you or bring items you asked for. My biggest issue is the price. Sizzler has gotten way too pricy. Our family of 3 eats for way less at Texas Roadhouse, and Red Lobster. Good food but not at that price read more

I've always enjoyed Sizzler since I was a kid. After leaving mall, I was actually able to convince my wife To go to sizzler ( my wife already told me this sizzler wasn't very good) ... BIG MISTAKE!!! Her steak was totally raw ( as well as my fried shrimp) and I informed waitress ( she seemed not to care) so I went up to front counter & asked lady about heating it up a little more. Used to like this place but it's gone downhill. $50 for two salad bars and a glass of wine. The salad bar was completely picked over and wasn't refilled. Out of all ice cream except vanilla and they've done away with the old desserts. my wife, grandson, and i ate dinner here on august 4th 2022. the food was really good. i ordered the 6oz steak medium rare it was cooked perfectly and the skewer shrimp. my wife had the 6oz steak medium rare the and malibu chicken. we both had baked potatoes and the salad bar. everything was cooked amazingly and the salad bar was fresh and well stocked. our grandson had fish and chios he absolutely loved it. the best part about dinning there was our waitress maisa!!! she was a great, she ensured we were satisfied, and she made our dinning experience enjoyable. i also noticed that she was moving at a rapid pace keeping most of the happy. i highly recommend her to be your waitress, and as for me i definitely will request her!!! on a scale from 1-10 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest i give her a 12..she is off the charts!!! read more

This is the cleanest & most sanitary sizzler to me ( Dale rd ) Staff is always at the bar cleaning re stocking. I tried there hamburger, it was pretty good specially the bacon. Bacon was perfectly cooked unlike most places that just burn it.

I used to eat at this restaurant years ago and it was good. I went there tonight with my elderly mother and my two adults kids. The person at the cashier register was rude and unwelcoming. My mom is in her 80's and ordered a meal with an added salad bar. The cashier didn't add the salad bar to my mom's bill. When my mom brought up the fact that the salad bar wasn't added, the cashier was rude. She didn't care to fix her mistake. I asked if she could add the salad bar on to my bill, so my mom could have a salad bar. She refused to give the price to add a salad bar with her meal. I had to pay full price. I was shocked that purchasing 3 salad bars totaled $68.00. The salad bar is not that good and is over-priced. I asked for the manager and he came over and adjusted the price for the one salad bar for my mom and brought me the difference. As for the customer service it was horrible upon entry. They do not give senior discounts for the elderly. They only give discounts for military and not first responders. This place is over priced for the food they serve. I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

I went here with my boyfriend the other night and although my food was good my boyfriends steak had a lot of fat in it which is weird because I got a steak too and mine had none at all. Maybe it was just a one time thing. Also the service wasn't all that because I had to wait 15 minutes just to get a refill on my drink which it kind of annoying. Usually I don't complain on things like that because the waitress was really nice so not a big deal. Gee...thought I had reviewed this place as we have gone here at least once a month for a year. Had another great experience. Order the salad bar, which is excellent and then another meal, like chopped steak, shrimp, etc. Eat the salad bar and take the meal, which includes a starch, home for dinner of another lunch. A very clean facility and on-the-spot servers to handle your plates and beverages. A decent bargain to get lots for less. read more

The wait is good but the meal is disappointing . Plates are easily around $16.99 without a beverage. What was most disappointing about this place was that my food was served to me at room temperature. My steak was also well done not medium. The mashed potatoes had no flavor and the gravy tasted as if it was made yesterday. The best thing about this visit was their strawberry lemonade. At least that was good. read more

I went to sizzler tonight and had salad bar. They raised their prices again, which is fine but the salad plates were all dirty. Then the salad bar was a mess. Lots of empty things no beets no croutons, bacon bits were so hard and old it was horrible. There was only a few wings in salad bar and they never put new ones out. There tables that had dirty dishes from previous diners. There was limited places to sit because every table was dirty practically. The staff was horrible. They girls were all standing in the workers area arguing and fighting in front of everyone. I was very disappointed in my dinner and service. I will not be back to eat here. It's really too bad because it's one of my favorite places to eat. I would not recommend this place at all read more

Went in there for the third time recently. Salad bar not up to par. Clam chowder soup(my favorite) so watered down. Chicken nuggets never refilled dry, mini corn dogs had to ask to refill.
