I hear all the time that Sizzle n crunch is like Chipotle but for Viet cuisine and I feel like it's accurate. Definitely not your most authentic Vietnamese food but it's crazyyy good. From my experience the workers are always generous with the servings and there's plenty of seating in and outside the restaurant.

Thai Milk Tea $6.99

Although the line was long the food was delicious, we got a chicken Bahn mi, tofu bowl and Thai milk tea. The Thai milk tea was not filled all the way and was mostly ice:( it was good but not worth $6.99 with no toppings.

My daughter brought this home for me to try and it's delicious! It's pouring with flavor especially after pouring the sauces that it came with. The green house sauce is just delicious. I can't wait to try their other dishes.

A friend and I ordered take out and it was ready within 10 minutes! Super fast and delicious food. We both enjoyed the chicken rice bowl with egg, the fish sauce was a great addition to the veggies! It's fresh, quick and filling! This is a great healthy pick me up if you need something that's convenient. We didn't try their drinks but next time I'm in the area I would love to try their lychee ice tea!

Decently priced Asian flavored food that hits the spot. I got the pork rice bowl which was about $11. The pork has a wonderful char flavor, super tender as well and chopped into chunks for each bite. I love the mix salad to help freshen up the taste and bring some brightness. The veggies are fresh and crisp as well. I like some spiciness so I got jalepenos in mine but next time I would omit this because the seeds get everywhere and surprised me with very strong spiciness in random bites. You HAVE to get their fish sauce with your order! It's the perfect mixture of sweet, sour, and umami. I ordered online but I noticed when picking up the order in person that the online price was about $3-$4 more before any service fees (on Fantusn at least) So for those who like to order beforehand and pick up in store, just be aware.

I just loved this place , so much so that I had my dinner every day on my visit to Seattle . Was conveniently located near my hotel in downtown . The portion size was very good , the staff was helpful and friendly, the taste was awesome and the ambiance was fantastic . They have nice sitting area right outside and plenty of street parking . Absolutely recommended

Amazing fast casual joint for Viet. Heard a lot of good things about this place so I'm glad I got yo try it. I got the Grilled Pork Rice Bowl and it was sooo delicious. I love the balance of rice, meat, and veg. There were some straight up pieces of fat, which I didn't love, but they give a massive portion overall so I can overlook that. The workers are also super friendly. Will definitely come back!

Grilled beef rice bowl with all the toppings!

One of my favorite food spots on the ave. It's great fast food that feels fresh and healthy. The portions are so good I got so much beef and vegetables in my bowl. And the cilantro sauce on top is amazing. I'm excited to come back here!

Sizzle and Crunch Vietnamese grill is a great, healthy version of Vietnamese street food. There are options from vermicelli bowls, rice bowls and banh mi sandwiches. I got the rice bowl. If you are familiar with Chipotle, it's similar where you have a base and protein and the toppings are your choosing and free. It's a great deal and reasonably priced. The food is pretty good and filling. The service wasn't exceptional...pretty basic. I wouldn't consider the restaurant a place to dine in.

Had lunch here with a few friends, and it was so amazing! Had never been to this place before, but I had heard so many great things. You order at the front at the cashier, and it's very fast. I got a bowl with chicken and a lot of other veggies, half rice half salad. It was extremely filling and I couldn't even finish half the bowl. A great price to considering how much they put in. They were also very generous with the meat portions. It's a pretty small place but inside there are some tables in the back. So it might be hard to find a table if you have a large group and it's during rush-hour. Overall, the service was really good as well.

Amazing Vietnamese restaurant near the university! A small place with some tables in the back. Got lucky and snatched a large table for our group. Ordered at the front, and the staff was friendly! Got the grilled chicken bowl, and it was SO enormous. Was not able to finish it all. The meat was fresh, as were the veggies. The egg on top pulled it altogether. The sauce was really good too!! Also ordered a lemonade, which was very tasty. For the price and portion size, this place is amazing!!

As a Vietnamese person, this is possibly the worst banh mi I've ever had. The bread, which is essential to the identity of this kind of sandwich, is entirely wrong. It's like a hoagie roll. I had their banh mi at the SLU location last year and that bread wasn't great either but this is on another level. There are Vietnamese bakeries and delis that make Vietnamese baguettes in Seattle that can supply so this is not excusable imo. Other Vietnamese restaurants can get the right bread, why not here. As for the fillings, it's ok. Ingredients are fresh. Not the most flavorful but it works. I also had a rice bowl here, reminiscent of com tam. Rice bowl was much better, though fish sauce wasn't the best either. Workers were kind and speedy so I gave a star for that. At the end of the day, it's like chipotle to Mexican food. It's not authentic really but it works I guess. I'm not gonna come back when there's other smaller Viet restaurants in the u-district I can support

Only rating the good because I ordered delivery but I will definitely be eating here again. I decided to try it because the rice bowls looked fresh and tasty. It did not disappoint. I got the pork which had a few fatty pieces but personally I love that so it was a plus for me. The veggies were super fresh and the sauce was pretty tasty too. The meat portion was generous and I feel this is a good deal overall. I even have some leftover for a late night snack! It it's this tasty delivered, I really need to get in to try it as soon as it's made. YUM!

Do they still have the pate spread? Last I checked I didn't see it.

No pate spread, and I'm sad about it. They used to, along with cut ham that made it really authentic. Maybe it was getting too expensive.

What's the health safety rating here?

It is "needs to improve"... sadly

My cocktail was a pho broth washed shot of Jameson and it came with a pho broth chaser. Hope I got that right but I almost don't wanna drink Jameson any other way now. It looked packed but I think a lot of people were at the larger pho Bac sup shop (which is associated w The Boat, but The Boat had plenty of seating at 6:30 on a Sunday night. I think what I appreciated most was the service- we had a person who seated us and answered questions about the menu- my partner has some preferences and shared them with the first server but then the second server came by and already knew what my partner had shared with the first server. The place is right next to their sister location, Pho bar, and share a parking space. It is nice and clean on the inside, and like the name the restaurant is shape like a boat! So far I have been here twice and would definitely come back for a warm meal. The staff were helpful and pleasant! It was roughly a 30 minute wait for the food, but that is to be expected considering this is not a fast-food Restaurant (:

It's a bit pricey for the portions, but overall we enjoyed our meal and I really liked trying dishes beyond the typical spring roll/pho/rice place. Here's what we ordered: - Baby clams with rice cracker: Generous portion of clams, paired nicely with the crunchy cracker. - Braised fish pot: Make sure you eat this with rice as it can be a bit on the salty side, but super flavorful. - Tamarind tree soup: A great combination of sweet and sour with lots of veggies. Wish there was more protein. It's located in a bit of a sketchy mall, but it's one of the nicer restaurants located within the mall. We ended up choosing a place close and were not disappointed at all. This restaurant is located off a busy street but it luckily offers a parking lot which can be hard to come by in Seattle. Because we came on the earlier side, we were seated quite quickly :) The space is pretty large so I don't think I would worry about a wait on a weekday. We were very impressed by the options provided. I usually don't find Bun Bo Hue on the menu often which is what my partner ended up ordering. I ordered the Bun rieu which is even harder to come by. We also ordered the crispy butter garlic wings to share which was a perfect choice. The service was very fast and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly our stuff came out after placing our order. The portions were also HUGE and we both had enough to take home for a second meal. The Bun rieu was super tomatoey and had a rich flavor which the crab. My mom makes Bun rieu at home and I was very much happy with this bowl too, reminded me a lot of how my mom makes it! The Bun Bo Hue was not super spicy but we appreciated being able to customize. The custard duck egg is an excellent starter, with a rich, savory broth that delivers a deep, yolky umami punch. The rau ram oil and herb is such a creative twist that adds the perfect herbal dimension. The radicchio pudding was light and offered a clean, almost grassy brightness without being overwhelming in flavors. Great option for any vegans at the table. The wagyu beef tallow fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. Ultra-crispy, perfectly thick-cut, and deeply flavorful with beef notes shining through, without being too heavy. Like many of the dishes here, perfectly balanced in flavor. The grilled eggplant with whipped tofu and crispy sun chokes was another standout. The tofu whip was so smooth and should be considered a worthy sub for mayo. The eggplant was soft, creamy, and perfectly charred. The garlic rice was incredibly savory and maybe my favorite version of it yet. Packed with the perfect depth of garlicky flavor and seasoning. Finally for dessert - I thought the durian fruit cup was decent, it's great for durian lovers but next time I will be back to try their other desserts. The hollow bread is a must-try. It's fried to perfection, the inside is steamy and the butter it comes with is perfect but the bread alone is so good that it doesn't need it. The perfect touch of roasted sesame. Slightly sweet, it's a delight in textures and perfect in cold weather. The oyster on half shell in happy hour is also a great standard oyster, very fresh, with a nuanced Viet twist in the sauces. Vegetable dip is pretty standard and also delicious, great if you're looking for a healthy starter. Coffee rubbed ribs were fantastic as well and an incredible deal for the size. Easy to eat and flavorful on its own but dipping it with Chinsu added spice and more flavor. Bot Chien had a crisp to it and egg was cooked well. You have to dip it in the fish sauce or else there is no flavor. Just something minor but I wish the pickled veggies were more separated. It had the cut lines but not fully cut so you had to separate it yourself. The com tam was alright. All of the components you would usually get for a broken rice dish. The meatloaf was really good. The pork on the other hand was a bit too salty for my liking. And you only get one thin piece... soup on the side was good and was a good way to cleanse the palette. Overall good modern/fancy spin on Vietnamese food but overpriced. Would probably be nice to go during dinner time for some drinks as the ambience seemed better for night time. Good amount of seating. Street parking around the area was easy to find.
