There's a reason why this place has been going strong, 24-hours a day, pretty much forever. It isn't fancy, innovative or trendy, but it is honest, comfortable and as "Baltimore" as it can possibly be (in the old-school, big hair, Memorial Stadium, pre-Cindy Wolfe way). There's just something satisfying about sitting at the counter on a Saturday morning, listening to the regulars banter with the waitstaff, and watching the action behind the grill as I wait for my strawberry pancakes and bacon. The food is basic, but consistent. If you're not in a strawberry-pancakes kind of mood, the garden omelet is also pretty tasty. The Greek food is outstanding. My favorites are the Pastitio, Mousaka and Greek salad. The meatloaf is also great and the Md crab. She only seemed slightly annoyed. We sat in front right at a window. The place looks like an old fashioned diner from the inside. (From the outside, this place always looks closed to me!!! I must admit that my expectations were low upon entering this dive (the decision to dine here was not mine), but I decided to make the best of a bad situation. I asked the ol' Bal'moran waitress what on the menu was good, and received a hearty recommendation for the moussaka--the house specialty. My tablemates' meals came out 15 minutes later, but my moussaka was forgotten. Apologies were given as my waitress scrambled behind the bar. Much clamoring ensued and, one minute and thirty seconds later, the ding of a microwave went off. In another 30 seconds, a moussaka was served to me. This was the stuff of planetary science. Approximately 864 degrees Fahrenheit on the surface with a core of solid ice at its center. I took two bites and quit in disgust. I told the waitress to take it away. No offer to remove the moussaka from the check was made. If I were asked whether the Sip & Bite sips or bites, I would say that it bites. read more

Just went there from Middle River for breakfast and it was excellent. Service was great and food was excellent. We were waited on as soon as we sat down. Coffee was brought right away and we were given time to read the menu and make a decision with no one rushing us. Very clean and cozy. I got caramel french toast, which was perfect and very filling, my husband got sausage gravy and biscuits, and was surprised to get 2 eggs and potatoes with it. Stopped on my way to Long Island NY. It was 3am so it wasn't crowed on a Tuesday am. The waitress,Lynn was super warm and friendly. Not overbearing but attentive. She has such a pleasant demeanor and made the visit a plus. The crab cakes were light and filled with crab meat. The spinach pattie was also light and the filling was delicious. My wife and I were originally going to go to Amiccis in little Italy, the wife mentioned sip n bite so We agreed we would try it, we ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari came out and we looked at each other thinking what the hell is this. First of all the portion was very small, like less than 10 pieces, plus it was way over cooked, like break your teeth over cooked, it was definitely from a bag. There were little bits of burned breading clumps, what an atrocious display it was. Needless to say we sent it back. We ordered our entrees , we looked at each other again with that bad feeling, it was a mental telepathy thing, we canceled our order and hit the door. We continued chatting intermittently taking bites from those salads only to see that this diner added more protein to its contents. Hello This business has good food but their service for delivery sucks to the hills. I and my co-workers have made several orders and at least three people.. and each and every time they have continued to leave foods ordered out of our purchase.. They should stop delivering food and just serve in house customers... example you make and order that has toast and you say with butter and jelly and they send you the jelly and butter but no toast. my co-worker ordered a cup of fruit with whipped cream , they sent the whipped cream but no fruit cup.. who does cup. they will continue to give a refund for orders they get wrong but never a courteous discount when or if you call to order again. Depending on what you get on the menu I think the price is very reasonable! It's typical diner food - pretty hearty and a good addition to the Canton brunch scene. The foods aren't very "adventurous", per se, but tried-and-true combos. Constantly helping every server and he never stops helping. Holly was our server and she was phenomal. So attentive. I came in here mainly because my parents had seen Sip & Bite on the Food Network. It's a small diner that's apparently been there for over 60 years, but inside it has an updated cute retro decor. There are some booths and counter seating, and an open grill area where you can see the cooks working. The main draw for us was the crabcake, which was featured on the Food Network. It was really good - almost all lump crabmeat, with very little filler and mild seasoning, cooked on the grill, so it wasn't oily at all. A serving of 2 crabcakes with 2 sides was only $19. We also had some of the spanakopita with fresh creamy spinach filling, which was delicious. I'd like to go back to try some more of their Greek food - apparently it's all made from family recipes. Some of the items weren't as impressive, such as the MD crab soup, which tasted good but should have been spicier and had more crab. Overall, we felt like we got a great experience for the money. This evening I was completely ignored for 5 minutes while the only waitress on duty casually made conversation with two of the four other customers in the place. I as well as two gentleman in a booth waited to order. I, was not even greeted when I walked through the door. Again, while the food is good you risk leaving or spending an unusually amount of time waiting because of poor service. This is a reflection of management, not the server.
