So.. boba tea is good. I work at a boba tea shop myself similar in size. I don't REALLY understand the whole "only being able to order online by scanning the QR code outside the door". We do one transaction at a time and we have stayed Covid free. (There is probably a reason they do this that I don't know of, but just saying.) Also, 20-25 min to get a drink is a big amount of time to wait for a drink. Especially for the parking situation and being able to social distance outside during a rush, when there is very little space. On the good side: This is my favorite boba tea place. I like it more than the place i work at. Boba is always cooked perfectly. Teas are always flavorful and the perfect amount of sweetness. I highly suggest going here if u are willing to wait a while and have your phone ready to order ahead of time or scan the QR code when u get there. read more

Can't order over the phone or at the store. Their online ordering process is terrible. The website for ordering isn't even posted on their website. You have to show up to the store to get the website and then wait in the car because they won't take direct payment, which defeats the purpose of online ordering. The website address is long and hard to remember. It also doesn't take PayPal or Apple pay. You have to enter your credit card info manually. It's such a hassle for a $5 drink. read more

Drinks are pretty good but they take FOREVER to make them and the parking lot is hell. Make a better pos system to better track when a drink is ready so people aren't sitting in this tiny parking lot waiting for 30 minutes. Best boba place in marin, but still pretty mediocre. Pros: First, they have a lot of options, and even if the drink you want isn't on the menu, as long as it has the ingredients they list they can make it. For example: I often order a Thai tea, even though it's not on the menu, they make it with no problem. Second, they almost always get your order correctly and are quick to fix anything they mess up. Next, they are pretty fairly priced for what you are getting. Lastly, most of the employees seem very nice and respectful. Cons; First, the parking is horrendous. Even for down town San Rafael. The tiny parking lot they have in front of the store is almost always full, and if it isn't, it's a pain to get into, and a pain to get out of. Plus, there is NO STREET PARKING AT ALL. So you're best bet it to park far away and walk, or park in the CVS lot next to it and buy a pack of gum so they don't give you a ticket for parking illegally. Second, the store itself is very small and cramped and it's very uncomfortable to wait for your drinks. Lastly, the drinks they serve are pretty mediocre. Not bad, just very bland and poorly mixed. All in all. It's a decent place to get boba in Marin (just make sure someone else is driving) , but If you're looking for boba that will knock your socks off, I would go to the city. read more

I've been ordering the same Thai milk tea with boba for several years. Something happened in the last month where the tea is really weak and there's less boba than before. I tried to call, email and Facebook message, but none of these forms of communication works. I gave them another chance and ordered today. When I asked for a valid phone number the guy at the front said they don't have a phone number or any way to talk to the manager. He said to try the drink to see if it's good. Love this place! Can't get enough of the classic pearl milk tea (black). 30% sweetness is still a decent sweetness, not watered down. I've tried about 6 different teas and haven't had one I didn't like. My daughter loves the fruit flavored teas, but I prefer the milk teas or the slushy type ones (forgot what they are called). The day we (friends and I) visited was the weekend of Labor Day that just passed. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received from any Sharetea location. My friend who placed the order was respectably firm but calm while the lady who made our drinks was in disbelief that the drink she made was not our order! Yes it was very hot that day even for San Rafael but that is no way to treat your customers. I'm not saying that customers are always right but it doesn't mean that the person who took the order could have misheard my friend while taking the order either! The other Asian lady with long hair I think was telling her to just remake our drinks but I wasn't sure since she spoke in their Chinese language. Their computer was down when we arrived and the woman taking orders was downright annoyed and curt. My milk tea tasted mostly of powdered milk, it was basically undrinkable. This is the best boba place you can find in Marin. It specializes in making boba and drinks which allows them to perfect the boba recipe and find drinks that suit all taste buds. First, I love boba tea. I heard it's a "craze" now, but I remember when it was a craze the first time in the mid 90's, so I'm no Johnny-come-lately to this deliciousness. I came here for the drink, so this is not a review of the space. It is not a hang-out place, for sure - only a couple of seats, really just a place to wait for your drink to be made. The parking situation is atrocious. I am not taking away any stars for this because all I wanted was bubble tea. And it was awesome. I got ginger milk tea with pearls. It took a few minutes but it came out nice and cold with a sealed lid. I grabbed a fat straw and punctured the top and took a sip. YUMMMMMM. Nice soft but firm pearls, and the ginger flavor was the perfect balance of sweetness and spicy ginger flavor. They offer nearly infinite customization to your drink, but this off the shelf beauty was just what I needed. So this place is annoying to get to, has terrible parking, nowhere to sit, and I still give it 5 stars? Yup. I love boba tea. My daughter got their coca lovers drink, and I had a sip and it was delightful as well, so there are at minimum two winners on the menu. I'd say your chances of having a great experience here depend entirely on how much you crave boba tea. In my case, after TERRIBLE experiences at every other alleged boba tea place in the vicinity... quite a bit. Be warned, their online order system accepts orders when they are closed. Sharetea then charged me for the order I never received. When I went to pick up my order and discovered they were closed, I left several messages asking for a return call, but no one called me back. I called again a day later and spoke to someone in person, who said they'd have the manager call me, but no callback. I called again today, finally spoke with Sammi, who denied she was the manager or owner, and refused to speak to me by phone regarding a refund. Ordered a drink with extra boba and it didn't come with extra boba. On top of that, I found a small piece of plastic or aluminum in my drink. My favorite is the mango green tea with mini pearls. I get 0% sweetner and the mango puree makes it sweet and delicious! The only negative about this location is the parking. Went on a Friday around noon, I was on my lunch break so I was on a time crunch, but luckily it wasn't too busy. It was my first time there so I didn't knw you had to order through the website when you got there which was really easy but of course I'm rushing to order 4 drinks and accidentally forgot to add pearl boba on one of my orders, the gentleman at the counter was really nice and patient with me and added the boba to my drink. An absolute hassle to place an order for this business, and the rudest staff/owners I've ever experienced in a tea shop was not a pleasant experience. They make it difficult for their customers. I've gone four times hoping each time was an off day for their staff team. Yet, each time we returned we had a negative experience as their system of ordering from the menu is convoluted and had not improved in more than a year, as well as the rude employees. After the fourth visit, we've decided not to return it's not worth the rudeness and the snafus of placing an order. One of the downsides is that you have to provide too much personal information just to place an order on their online app. Nothing is simple or efficient about this process and the only Share Tea that I am aware of this that does not provide other options such as checking out as a guest. This place has earned my 5 star approval for boba: 1) For consistency of making drinks 2) For extending hours - they now open until 9:30pm Mon-Sat. instead of 8pm! 3) Quicker service - majority of the employees are getting the hang of things and drinks are coming out more smoothly. Just hope you don't come at a busy time because the line will be out the door. Literally. Because the place is tiny for the crowd it attracts.
