The drinks they make are great. Customer service is decent and needs work. No place to sit and drink so it's mostly to go.

So many options for decent prices. I like how you can truly customize each order to your liking. I don't like how the only order option is online.

(not a boba/milktea) connoisseur, but first time at this place today, and it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't the bestest. They have a variety of options, on their menu which is good for boba lovers? but if you like sweet drinks, maybe ask for extra sugar? i got 100% sweetness for both the drinks I've tried and they both tasted as if it wasn't sweet at all. no complaints since i'm not really a milktea person, socmaybe try it for yourself (: not bad for having a milktea place in the area

Service is okay, although boba tea was good. I would rate the boba 7.5/10. Definitely not the place you want to go to for the ambiance or to get the full experience, but it's okay for the little space itself. The woman who took our order was not welcoming or warm whatsoever. The speed of the overall service was good, as it only took them about 5 minuets for our drinks to be out. I would only come here if it's my last option, as the taste of the boba was not as artificial or bad as other boba shops I have been too. They also have very limited square feet, so you can't enjoy your boba inside at all. Overall rating, 7/10. Not great, but also not bad. ** But if you want the real deal, try T-Pumps in the city!

The milk is really good! I recommend taro with lychee or whatever u prefer but the service was so rude! I normally come there and everything was fine but today this girl serve me and her attitude was so rude and look like she doesn't wanna be there at all. Maybe I come when their kinda close but cmon you can atleast smile or be nicer. She even get the order wrong with no sorry. I ask for 50% sweet and she put 80%.

I don't see a "Closes earlier if we decide to clean up earlier" here...

ATTENTION TO MANAGER/OWNER: We tried calling in today at 7:38pm to place our order. Called several times. No one picked up. The website says 8pm closing time. We were trying to be courteous and get our orders in so the drinks were ready before closing. I dialed 7 times, no answer. We arrive to sharetea at 7:51pm, now we have to get our order in person. Two very young ladies were at the counter. The one who attended us told us that because they were "short on boba they were closing up early". Boba is simply a side option, not a main ingredient needed for every drink. So there was NO reason why they should be trying to stop order flow before closing time. Whats the whole point of a closing time of 8pm? She said they started cleaning up early because of the boba shortage and limited us to just 2 drinks. Unfortunately, this seems like a couple of young employees who don't understand what, "Open until 8pm" actually means. Management needs to step in and probably reiterate that these young employees can't make up their own closing time with their own rules just because higher leadership isn't watching. Can't write a review on my drink because I didn't get mine. Limit of 2 was used for wife and kid.

Their boba teas are alright. The space is very crowded/small so plan to just pick up and leave.

I parked in the first open driveway, the same block as Oddcha, immediately after passing the store. Oddcha is located inside the archway gate of French Quarter on the left. A walk up window, with staff perched high closed behind, is where you retrieve your order. You can order in person from a screen or on their mobile site for pick up - I did the app. The ready by time was minimal and my order was ready when I arrived. I ordered the Twilight Taro ($7) with oat milk ($.80) and double boba ($1.50). The drink is a non caffeinated combination of taro and purple yams with fresh milk. When received, it did not resemble the picture from the menu. The drink was creamy, slightly thick, taro/purple yam forward, very flavorful and perfect with the less sweet option. I prefer no ice, I was only allowed a less ice option. The ice level seemed regular, consuming 3/4 of the cup space. They honored the double boba as each sip had ample boba to enjoy. With no one at the walk up window when I arrived, the staff was not proactive checking in on me. I had to knock on the window to have someone eventually acknowledge me. Not great considering two employees watched as I walked up and stopped in front of the window looking back at them. Besides that, it was an easy, flavorful experience. Not sure if I'd return, mainly due to parking. I am glad I checked out Oddcha, I was not disappointed in the drink chosen.

Instead, you simply place your order either online, or through the self-service kiosk located out front. There is a window next to the kiosk where they'll place your drink when ready. Ordered a Mango Supreme with Boba and really enjoyed the fresh mango taste, along with the nice and chewy boba. There's not a lot of boba options in San Rafael. But I'm glad Oddcha is one of them. Unbeknownst to me at the time, parking is available in a lot under the freeway on 4th street, behind Oddcha. I instead found street parking 3 blocks away and simply walked over.

The lady working there (an older woman) was just the sweetest. She greeted us with a big smile, welcomed us in, and even thanked us for stopping by. It really made the visit feel extra personal. We tried a few drinks: the Mango Fresh Milk with boba was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet which is perfect for a hot day. The Iced Matcha with boba was smooth and flavorful; I loved that it actually tasted like real matcha. I did ask for less ice, which oddly came with an extra 85 cent charge, but honestly, it was still worth it. My daughter got the Kuma Blue Cloud Raspberry, which was creamy, fun looking, and caffeine free! It's definitely a nice spot to grab a good drink and relax for a bit. The only downside is that they don't have a public restroom, which was a little inconvenient. Still, we'll definitely be back for more drinks and that friendly service!

2.5 STARS kuma cafe…read moreis a small cafe serving quick bites and boba, conveniently located in downtown san rafael. even though it's in downtown san rafael, i've never had trouble finding street parking nearby. since you order on a tablet, there's not usually anyone behind the counter until the food comes out. it seems like there's only one person working, so it can sometimes take a bit for things to come out. i usually order online for a quicker pickup, although it's slightly more expensive. there are a few tables inside, but it's really a to-go place. - egg sandwich w/ salad (2.5/5): i love japanese egg sandwiches, so i really wanted to try this! the sandwich had a good kewpie mayo flavor, and it was slightly sweet. i enjoyed the flavor, but the sandwich was too wet and messy to eat. some of the mayo was dripping out of the sides. there were also small bits of tobiko and cabbage. it wasn't a big sandwich for the price, but it did come with a salad that was topped with a good sweet and creamy dressing - spicy tuna sandwich w/ chips (1/5): literally like canned tuna with some spicy seasoning, although it wasn't super spicy. it also had some thick slices of cucumber and red onion. the chips were kind of stale, and they tasted like they were supposed to be ruffles or lays salted chips. this was pretty disappointing, and i'm not sure why it cost that much - poke (2.5/5): pretty standard, and an okay portion for price. they offered all of the basic ingredients and different kinds of fish. my bowl didn't have a lot of fish in it, but they did give me a lot of tamago (sweet egg), which made up for the lack of protein. i ordered the soy house sauce, but it reminded me more of a bright ponzu. honestly, the ingredients didn't really taste the freshest, but i thought it was fine and the best food i tried here - jasmine rose milk tea (1.5/5): strong rose flavor! it was still pretty sweet at 50% sugar, and it got overwhelmingly sweet by the end. i usually finish drinks, even if i don't like them, but it was hard to finish - sando brown sugar milk tea (4/5): my favorite milky drink i tried! it had a pretty good black tea and chocolate malt flavor. i really liked the crunchy texture of the malt topping, although i think it could've used a little less malt and more drink. i thought this was very unique! - lychee dragon fruit (4/5): like a light lemonade! i didn't really taste the lychee. the dragon fruit flavor was subtle, but it was definitely there, especially at the end with all the dragon fruit bits. it came with lychee jelly, which made the drink pretty sweet - fizzy yuzu (4/5): literally a yuzu soda, which was tart and citrusy. it was a little too sour for me at first, but the yuzu flavor was great. i actually really liked the kiwi popping boba, which added some sweetness to the drink and curbed the tartness. the kiwi popping boba did taste like kiwi, and it was so unique! - momo peach iced matcha [seasonal] (1/5): the worst drink i tried... there was so much peach jam that it tasted super sweet, and the jam didn't even have a strong peach flavor. the amount of jam also made the drink extremely goopy, even after mixing, and i couldn't taste the matcha at all. i didn't finish this drink the boba here was inconsistent - sometimes it was soft and chewy, and other times, it was on the hard end. for the drinks that came with a topping, they didn't let me sub out the topping with something else. i would've had to pay for an additional topping in order to change it. overall, i'm not really a big fan of kuma cafe, but there aren't that many options in san rafael. compared to oddcha, i think kuma cafe offers more unique asian flavors, like dragon fruit or yuzu. when i'm working near downtown, i'll still stop by to get my boba fix but will head somewhere else for lunch.
