Seis Kitchen is one of my favorite taco places with two locations in town. What makes the River and Campbell location unique is they have a bar and offer these fantastic margaritas. Serving up the same food as their other location at Mercado, this location is a fun option for dining on the patio (they also have distanced indoor seating). I really appreciate the way they have every other table blocked off for outdoor diners and have extended their patio to accommodate those who want to dine outside. There are heaters available outdoors as well as fans to make your experience more comfortable as well. I recommend any of the taco platters we ordered Chicken Tinga (spicy but wonderful) & Cochinita Pibil (sweet and savory). Their nacho portions are generous and their Taquitos make a great appetizer or full meal. We typically do takeout from Seis and it's always well packaged and the portions are generous, such a wonderful local spot to eat. read more

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. Two is generous. Staff is friendly, food was decent but nothing special that's about all the good I can say. It's a bit overpriced and we waited 55 minutes for our food when only half the tables were full. We ordered chips and salsa that did come until I asked for them after our food was delivered. They never brought side of rice we ordered. Two of us ordered chicken burrito with different ingredients, waitress had no idea which was which so we had to pull them apart and try to figure it out. We watched as almost every table had some sort issue with their order. There are much better options in the area. Do yourself a favor and go to one of those. read more

Dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant is nice and bright, not too busy and the cashiers were friendly. We ordered the burritos with Adobo Steak. It was huge, enough for 2 people. It came wrapped in foil. My companion said the meat was tender with plenty of filling. I had the taco grande platter with 3 different tacos, Poc Chuc (chicken) Al Pastor (pork) and fried Avocado. The fried avocado was firm and creamy, The Poc Chuc was a little dry but my favorite was the Al Pastot. It's was moist with a grilled flavor. I wish they had a choice of corn or flour tortillas tacos. We also had the chips and salsa and it was a big bowl of chips with 2 kids of salsa. I didn't try the non alcoholic drinks but they looked refreshing. Nice place and quick service. read more

A barely dressed emperor. This establishment and it's twin on the other side of town are perhaps the hottest Mexican cuisine establishments in the city. Surroundings are nice service is pretty good but the problem is it's not all that fantastic and it's very expensive. I had a birria quesadilla, chips and salsa and an iced tea and including a 15% tip it came to $24.50. It was good, but it certainly didn't set my world on fire. Based on price to quality I'm lowering this to three stars. read more

Was extremely excited to finally try this now that the dining room is open. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because although they were out of the Puerco Verde Torta, we still ordered the crispy chile that comes on the torta and it was crispy and tasty. The chicken in the Poc Chuc tacos, the crispy chile, amd their hot salsa were the only things that had flavor. The wait for our food was crazy long about 35 min. Our initial greeter/cashier was not very friendly. Felt like we were annoying him. The price point seemed a little steep for flavorless food. Love homemade tortillas, these ones were a little thick and chewy. Calabacitas had absolutely no flavor and was basically sautéed veggies. Not sure if I'd go back. Atmosphere inside and the patio very nice. read more

I stayed in Tuscon for a few months in 2019 just prior to covid and found this amazing food spot! I tried the Mexico City quesadilla and my friend had a burrito. I mean hands down THE BEST QUESADILLA IVE EVER HAD!! I would beg to go back just so I could get this decadent delicious item again and again. And now a year and a half later, I haven't been to Tuscon since, and I still dream about the quesadilla here. Sometimes I daydream about taking a trip to Tuscon just to go hiking and then eat one of these. It'll happen one of these days. Oh and my friends burrito?? Amazingly delicious! Her housemate "accidentally" ate the leftovers one day and we now laugh about the "burrito incident" because at the time she was so upset that her leftovers were gone it caused a momentary rift in the house lol . "Who ate my burrito?!?!!!" I'm very happy that this restaurant is still open and has not shuttered its doors due to covid. Please do your taste buds a favor and go eat here read more

The nachos were delicious. They have homemade jalapeños that we got on the side & salsa was a must. The tacos and coffee were okay, but I would try something different next time. Zucchini was just a healthy option but nothing too special. I would still recommend and try again! Overall we enjoyed it. Ambiance was fun and trendy. Well after telling me that the Mexico City Quesadilla was her favorite and convincing me to order the thing, the ditzy counter girl actually ranfg my order in as three tacos. Very odd, but she was right in the end as the quesadilla stole the show. It is a unique style with two tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese and green chile's. I had to order the shredded beef which was tasty because the chicken they use is dark meat. The quesadilla also had some nice flavorful sauce. Maybe the best part of the meal was the Horchata. This is a must try if your a fan of this drink - one of my top 5 ever. read more

Used to be fantastic but has gone way downhill. I think they probably expanded too fast. Took the best things off the menu. Tinga tacos lately have no spice at all. They repeatedly forgot the avocado which is a major component you are paying for. Tacos were cold the last few times. Do not attempt to make any changes like add Seis sauce or hold the onions. If you order take out on their website don't expect a confirmation email with time to pick up. read more

Overall the experience here was good. You order as you walk in similar to chipotle, but the waiter brings your food. The staff was helpful, gave options to help maximize our dollar. The ingredients were fresh, no soggy tomatoes or greens here. The corn tortillas are made here and you can taste the freshness. The food was quick to come out. The veggie Nachos were the star of the show. They had great flavor. Be ready for a hefty plate of food. The green chili was real... not from a can --which makes me happy. Me encanto! The fish tacos tasted great, but the fish was an afterthought. There was very little fish in the tacos. The steak tacos were acceptable, not bad, but did not "wow". The birria taco was delish. The meat was good and they (in the kitchen) know it. There was a large serving of meat in this taco. The calabacitas were subpar, they were just like sautéed veggies, lacking flavor and imagination. Overall the food is good. Would I recommend? Um, maybe depending on the people asking. Generally.... probably not. If you're looking for "authentic" this is not the place. My family came to Tucson from Sonora in the 1860's. I know, love and appreciate great Mexican food. I have eaten it in Tucson all my life. I also aspirate great service. Poor customer service can kill a restaurant. It does not matter how amazing the food is, if the service is bad, they won't make it. Today we ordered two lunches and it took forever for one to arrive. The second never arrived. We inquired as to why our never arrived and we were told it was accidentally delivered to the wrong table. By now the first meal was eaten and we were still waiting for the second one. It still never arrived. We inquired again and were told by Gavin that they refunded that meal. We asked for a receipt showing the refund and Gavin became enraged. Gavin never bothered to let us know the meal was never coming. The Gavin, who was the cashier who took our order then became snippy with us because he didn't like that we were not happy that our meal never arrived with no explanation. We were never refunded the full amount we paid for what ended up being half a lunch. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! On the way out, customers who heard the Gavin's vicious attitude and nasty demeanor let us know that the restaurant was 100% wrong in their service (lack thereof) to us and his attitude. Even the table who received our order accidentally was furious at how Having treated us. They were as disturbed by him as we were. You need decent employees. We used to be regular customers. Never again!!!! read more

Came here for years and loved it but since COVID it's overpriced, long wait and menus changed--hone are street tacos... now everything is $15! Even the salad and it was old wilted and the meat was piled on but in a disgusting way and the corn and cheese was missing... ok and service sucks! So sad!!! read more

DON'T GO ON A WEEKEND. It simply isn't worth it. We waited over an hour standing in a VERY SLOW MOVING line. The cashier was friendly and efficient. We sat down and waited an additional 30 minutes for our food to arrive. There is no indoor seating and not all tables have umbrellas. We were in the sun. The food was very good. It was NOT 90 minutes worth of waiting good. If you really want to eat at Seis, go on a weekday. But really, Tucson has so many really good Mexican restaurants, there is no need to wait so long for good Mexican food. Go somewhere else. read more

I'd like to first say that my wife and I eat Seis weekly regardless of some of the problems I'm about to mention. We use to bring so many new customers years ago that management gave us a gift card to show appreciation to us. I don't write many reviews for food spots but I felt like I should this time. The first is that the food is very inconsistent, especially the Adobo Steak. One day it's undercooked and chewy and the next it's the best tasting meat I've ever had. We have complained about undercooked rare adobo steak throughout the years and management has always refunded the money. I think this is because a cook is rushing and barely puts the meat on the grill to rush the order. Keep in mind, my wife and I both eat our steaks medium rare at home. We moved to the chicken in hopes we wouldn't have issues and it did improve. The chicken is more consistently good but we're often served barely cut up meat. We have so many times been given almost entire chicken thighs in our burritos. The green salsa is so dang good but I feel like can be blended to a thinner consistency. The west side location makes it very well and always has since day 1. We will sometimes go to that location just because they tend to make everything better from our experience. Overall, Seis is one of the best Mexican food spots in town when the food is cooked right but has continued to disappoint me as years go on. Nothing is worse than spending 40-50 dollars on 2 burritos and then to be served something the cooks themselves likely wouldn't eat. I understand that fresh food is generally inconsistent in general but I'd expect less bad experiences and more good ones. I'm have about a 50/50 shot of having a delicious or terrible burrito. Please change something management and thank you for always refunding the money when the experiences were bad. read more

I have spent so much money on seis this year. I've always had an addiction to the tinga tacos and since I live 3 minutes away I order every other week. But recently I keep getting chicken chunks instead of shredded chicken in my tinga. Absolutely terrible considering I'm paying $17 plus tax for 3 tacos. I think there might be a new cook or someone is being lazy. I'm so sad. I won't be coming here anymore. I have spent hundreds there this year. So disappointed. read more

This place has really gone south over the past 6 months. This use to be our favorite Mexican restaurant, especially for takeout, which is why we gave it so many opportunities. Over the past 6 months I have time and time again had issues with my order. It feels like they don't care about takeout orders, because no one is going to drive 10 minutes back over small things. One time they loaded my wife's tacos upside down. Another time they made the tacos with no toppings and forgot to give us our salsa. Last time we went they forgot our sides of beans. Tonight was my breaking point. I decided to check my order in the parking lot and my burrito was seriously miniature. It was comically small, I wish I had taken a picture. It must have had 1/3 of the normal fillings then wrapped up into a little ball. It was seriously the size of my fist and closer to the shape of a ball than a burrito. When I brought it back inside the employees clearly didn't care. They seemed annoyed that I'd complain about my food. The quality has gone down since they opened. I'm sick of dealing with crappy attitudes and incorrect orders. Seis has lost my business. read more

I met some friends here for lunch on a weekday. It was still cool enough to sit outside. First thought was the tables were empty, but hadn't been wiped down. I ordered chips & salsa and they brought out a nicely sized bowl with 2 salsas. Delish. Then I ordered a salad with Adobe steak. The salad was a nice portion, but there were nit enough toppings, only about 8 smaller chunks of bite-size meat and only about a tablespoon of dressing. No love. This would have been a great salad if the toppings and meat and dressing were.proportionate to the bowl of greens. Order double meat and extra toppings and dressing and this will be a nice meal. read more

Friends have been raving about this place. So finally we made it yesterday. Got there at 10 am lunch starts at 11. Not much for breakfast but we are here. I ordered Bacon tacos and wife ordered chili quilles. Bacon Tacos where amazing. Every bite was full of flavor. She liked her dish too. Ordered a burrito to go for my daughter. She was impressed. Without a whiskey menu to look through, that wasn't especially helpful. We also asked for a shooter and were offered half of a cocktail instead. That would've been totally fine on its own, but combined with everything else, the service just never felt welcoming. We ended up leaving pretty quickly. I ordered chips and salsa ($1 extra) and my Chicken Burro enchilada style came out moments later. Service was excellent throughout my meal. I ordered the sour cream-green chile sauce over my burro.
