The food was delicious. I'm a HUGE pulpo fan and they do it beautifully here. Tucson not exactly located seaside but their pulpo was fresh and beautifully cooked and served. Our server was terrific and accommodating. We sat in their outdoor patio which was lovely. After a late afternoon monsoon rain it was clean, fresh so rejuvenating after such a brutally dry summer. This is the place to come for seafood done a la Sonoran style. House made chips and salsa, tortillas were great. The ambiance was homey, low key and colorful. Nice cocktail and beer list.... wine was an afterthought but that's ok. A longtime neighborhood favorite. Salud.

Wow what a wonderful surprise here, a seafood lovers delight. The tortilla chips started the meal out right. Deliciously crispy light chips with a garlicky mildly spicy salsa dip. Then a great selection of entrees...only slightly disappointed with breading on tacos and the Camarones albani. But the shrimp rellenos and octopus were excellent. The horchata was also great. So a solid 5 for the 2 dishes with shrimp and octopus, a 4 for the saucy shrimp dish and a 3 for the tacos.

Easily the best ceviche in town -- super fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. Only wish they gave a few more tostadas to go with it, but overall, the quality more than makes up for it. A go-to spot for fresh mariscos done right!

I went for a Tucson Foodie R&D dinner and it was pretty good. We had five courses and they all had great bites. The best dish was the Culichi but let face it this sauce is great on anything protein. They had a shrimp ceviche and a garbanzo ceviche and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how fresh and am the garbanzo ceviche was. I will order that again. This spot is always on the top seafood places in town, so give it a try for yourselves.

Camarones Culichi The whole plate was yummy. Even the fries, which I seldom eat! The green cheesy sauce was flavorful.

Service is friendly. Atmosphere is clean, basic and comfortable. Food is over the top! Good portions. Great flavors! Even the fries. Plenty of parking. A delightful experience.

Attended a gathering reception/wake in the patio tent ( heated on rare chilly rainy Sunday ) off the bar area north of the courtyard entry. The service for the large party was excellent and handled very professionally . The bar area was very comfortable with beautiful paintings Mayan / Aztec indigenous theme Pre Columbian. The tented patio was lined with many flags representing flags many other countries . Food was ordered and served as I left after a couple hours of celebration. I've been told by many this is their favorite restaurant with seafood as the staple . Parking is also available w on the n alley with an exit to speedway . On grande it is between pats drive n & az school for deaf & blind on the north corner at speedway.

Looking for a great Mexican restaurant. This one was rated nicely. I met a business friend here for dinner. I didn't know it was only sea food type of restaurant. So this was a nice break for me. The service was good and informative. I asked for recommendations and the waitress was quite helpful and directed us to some good meals. We ordered the ceviche to start off. We then ordered dinner. Bacon wrapped shrimp and Garlic shrimp. Everything was good and full of flavor. Nice unexpected surprise for me. I recommend.

We were looking to recreate our San Carlos, Sonora seafood experience here in Tucson and decided to visit Mariscos Chihuahua for the first time. The parking lot is on the south side of the building, and the entrance is on the north, but there is plenty of signage to get you there. We were greeted promptly at the door and opted to sit at a table near the windows. We received water to drink plus chips, salsa, and fresh lime to nosh while we perused the menu and took in the amazing murals that line the walls of the space. My partner enjoys spicy food and decided to try the camarones endiablados (shrimp with a spicy chipotle sauce). The dish has ample shrimp and a flavorful sauce with plenty of kick to it. It's not an uncomfortable heat, but it's very forward in the dish. This also comes with rice. I opted for the camarones culichi (shrimp with house spices in a creamy green sauce), "the dish that made us famous!" This dish had ample, perfectly cooked shrimp, and the sauce was mild and flavorful. Once I finished the shrimp, I added the rice to the sauce because it was that tasty. This also comes with a small mixed green salad. The wait staff checked on us a few times during our meal, offered to box leftovers when we were done, and handled our check efficiently. They do take credit cards at this location. We definitely will return to Mariscos Chihuahua in the future to try other menu items.

These drinks are innovative, thoughtful, and aesthetically pleasing in a way that leaves you excited for more and expands one's idea of a well-made libation. Inspired by a medley of global flavors, Juniper started off as a side project from a local brewery and unexpectedly exploded into a swanky hangout with zero seats left open on weekend nights. Yes, virtually everything on the menu is gin-based. But that shouldn't scare you away! Gin is essentially a neutral spirit infused with botanicals and/or citrus, so if you had a bad experience with one brand, there will be another out there you'll fall in love with. Elliott, the General Manager of the bar, elevates the passionate curation of his menu to perfection. Here are some examples of what you might fall in love with: Balzy Maracuya: A 'maracuya' is a passion fruit beverage originating from South America. In this drink, fruity flavors are enhanced with popping boba filled with balsamic vinegar. Botanist: Upscale gin and tonic with thyme, rosemary, and star anise. Cronus Punch: Rum punch lovers will be blown away by the rare sighting of clarified gin On special ocassions, you'll find limited edition items like gin sorbet affogatos and horchata martinis. At the turn of each new year, there's a menu rotation that may sadly remove some of my faves. But here, at Juniper I can guarantee two things: Something uniquely enjoyable, and a gracious staff that will be happy to explain the intricacies of lesser-known spirits on the shelf. In 2026, I predict it will remain one of Tucson's hottest cocktail hangouts.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel.
