Facility is ok. However, I'm very suspicious of all the five star reviews here. They raise the rent on a regular basis. These folks are greedy. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, doors are narrow making it very difficult to maneuver. Don't even try to use one of the larger carts above the ground floor! Signs, signs, everywhere signs (in broken English)! "Put cart back where it park", "You are on camera!! DUMPING IS ILLEGAL!!!, etc.. If we were actually on camera, the sign wouldn't be necessary. So many signs, they cancel each other out. Nobody would read them all. Makes me feel like in an inmate rather than a customer. Besides...if you are going to scold me, please do it in proper English! read more

Great place, it was clean and spacious. The staff is courteous and helpful. The manager is friendly and pleasant. I have been to other storage facilities that did not care for the renters and it was not a great experience when you are treated like a nuisance. My husband and I have been storing our property at Security Public Storage for the last 4 years. This place is great because it's safe, secure, clean, and is staffed with employees that are friendly and helpful. The building is also well lit and has plenty of dollies and carts to use for transporting your belongings. I like the fact that over the past couple of years the facility has been upgraded with a new front office, diamond plate flooring, and a new keypad box that lets renters punch-in their codes to exit the main gate. Overall, I highly recommend that you check-out Security Public Storage for your storage needs. You won't be disappointed. read more

In lite of a few technical difficulties with yelp, this review is a bit late for posting. In any event, I would like to express my gratitude to Security Public Storage and management (John) for being so reliable and flexible. Late on the evening of July 3rd, I was in need of a storage unit. Short notice and 15min before closing the manager John at the Hyde Ct site accommodated me beyond normalcy. He went out of his way going above and beyond his call of duty by making an unusual exception to ensure my needs were met. John stayed passed closing time allowing my family and I to finish unloading and moving into the two last available units that evening. John was highly professional, knowledgeable and performed his job with excellent skill and communication. Taking a risk of being written up by not turning me away and allowing me to finish moving in, shows empathy and just what kind of people this company employs. In addition, the bathroom was very neat, well stocked and clean. Overall the entire site was exceptionally clean and free from any trash or clutter. Unlike many storage facilities, the floors inside are well kept and clean as well. In many casas you get what you pay for, not in this case. The prices are low, discounted and very cheap in comparison to many other low maintenance storage facilities who charge high prices and pay no attention to the grounds. The Hyde Ct. location represents high value and assumption of more expensive rates. When arriving for the first time I was very impressed. After how quickly John processed my transaction and allowing us to finish moving in, there are no words to express how that feels. My sincere apologies for any negativity I may have caused to John from upper management by extending hours of operation that evening. Five stars for Service and for Everything Else!!! read more

Everyone here was super nice and helpful. They were attentive and answered all my questions completely. I was moving in all my stuff because I had not found a new home yet and they completely understood. JC, the manager, even offered to not book anything yet on the day I went in because I had an open house that same day. Geat staff. Clean and secure facility. I definitely recommend this to store your items...short or long term. I stored my apartment belongings there for a short time during a transition in the summer and when I moved back I went from a large storage to a smaller one to keep seasonal items. I go there whenever I need the extra things I don't want sitting around in my apartment. They worked with the pricing for me and how much I really wanted to spend each month. i managed my storage unit from nyc for five years. i've had to call up a few times, but overall, i had little to no interaction with the team at sps. not a bad thing -- i just never had an issue or needed to call them. all that changed last week when i was finally ready to clear out my storage unit. i showed up with keys to my unit and that was it. didn't know my access code, unit number, or anything. both evelyn and john were there to help and they were great! i was in and out over the next few days donating, recycling and hauling junk -- they were always friendly and ready to answer any questions i had. if you need storage, this is the place to go. it's an incredibly well-maintained and clean facility. and as secure as it can be -- everyone has a personalized code that links to their unit. looking back, i was *very* lucky i chose this facility. no complaints and i almost wish i had more stuff to store...almost! read more

I'm pleased to have a storage so near to where I am living (across the street) and I am so pleased to live without feeling cramped by "stuff". The hours of operation are convenient with entry by code until 7 PM nightly, slightly earlier on weekends. The facility is cleaned and well-maintained. What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? All the comments below are true! John the manager takes customer satisfaction to a new level. He took care of all my concerns, worked out a great deal for me. I also needed to up grade to a larger unit once I arrived with my movers and all my things, and he was all smiles during the entire process. Miguel and John helped me get everything taken care of in minutes. John even shared some of his lunch with me! How awesome is that! Moving days can be so stressful they made it a pleasant experience for sure! I feel with the security and location of this storage facility all my antique furniture will be fully secure and taken care of. I really lucked out finding this place. If you have things to store this is the place. Oh and I also found out that they have FREE trucks the renters can use to transport their belongings to one of their storage facilities. First off, this place is near home so its a big plus. When they say security, they mean it! security is monitored 24/7 which is great because i don't have to worry about my stuff getting tampered with. The place is very spacious, wide hallways to get around the facility easily and they always have carts available for use. The staff couldn't be better because they're always there to help! I kept some of my things in storage here for over a year, and I had nothing but a positive experience. The site is secure and accessible from 280 or 380. I never had trouble getting in or out of the premises. The staff was always on hand, friendly and helpful. They send you an electronic invoice each month, even if you set it up for your card to be charged automatically. The rates were reasonable given the area, but seemed totally worth it once I consider the facility's security and accessibility as well as the helpfulness of the staff. So secure you'll get locked in after 6:30pm. The place is clean and has many dolleys for you to use to move things in and out which is convenient. The staff I met John is very nice and courteous. Each storage unit is armed with an alarm if you don't open the gate with your own code as an added security measure. The facility has never been crowded and the storage areas and surroundings are well lit and neat and clean. You can't visit your belongings late at night which is something I desire. Once I entered the facility near closing only to be locked in and no one from SPS was available. There was no mechanism to get out other than calling the fire department. I almost never see any employees. There are no garbage containers should you need to get rid of anything nor are there any curtesy carts to move heavy items. read more

This storage location on Hyde is run by a bunch of thieves. The company charges $25 in late fees if you dont pay within 15 days of your due date. This is on a $150 fee for a 10x10 storage unit. The doors to the inside storage area are never operative without a hassle. The idiot woman on the weekend staff is rude and obnoxious. You never know when you may be late as there are no statements. They lock your unit at 15 days. Then you pay your fee and the moronic office woman sits there while you go back and forth from you unit to the office because it is locked up. I would advise anyone to avoid this location like the plague. read more
