Excellent customer service. Since after all their storages are not inside a building, I would recommend coming here if your things are properly stored in sealed plastic bins to prevent weather moisture damage. With that said I haven't stored anything here yet, but this was one of the top 3 places I've considered. The reason why I am deciding on another facility it's due to it being closer to where my things are and that I'm unsure what I'll be storing for now so I'll need my first time place to be indoor. And are buy those moisture absorbing stuff. With that said I might come back once I have everything figured out and this may be the second storage place I would use if they still have fair prices by the time I'm moving out of my first choice. I needed a storage locker when I moved from Oakland to SF but was out of the country for the last part of Dec 2018 and couldn't move into my new place until I got back a few days into January. So the storage locker was a necessary intermediary in my transition. From initial inquiries, to signup, to guided tour, to using their moving truck, to closing out my locker, everything went entirely smoothly. This place is convenient to get to, it's clean, reasonably priced. The customer service my husband and I received since we've moved our belongings here have been exceptional. The Manager Matt is super efficient, friendly and so helpful. The on-boarding was good. They do a tour with an employee you when you sign up, the set up is very simple and easy. Ive used Stop n Store facility twice within 10 years and this business is outstanding customer service, well managed, secure and clean. Initially I searched for the specific type of storage facility where I could drive right up to the storage unit, ground level and outdoors, to unload and load and I found Stop n Stor. I just moved again and needed a short term storage unit and wasn't certain, due to impact of Covid on many businesses, if this business was still open. To my delight, it is still open and again the staff and service is outstanding - outstanding overall in friendly and knowledgeable staff, efficient and helpful, clean, and secure location. While this little gem is tucked away in an industrial area it is very easy accessible from the freeway exits one or two blocks close. I highly recommend this business. Exceptional!!! read more

This place was amazing when I used them in August of 2011 when I got stuck without a home for a month since there was confusion about when I could move into my new place. They were super cheap and gave me two storage units for a total of $74 for two months, which basically covered insurance and truck rental since the storage unit was only $1/month for the first month...and they were nice and let me use that deal even though they knew I only needed it for that one month! The lady and the guy who both helped me out were super nice and we need more storage places like this around! read more

These guys are garbage. Buyer beware reservations are not guaranteed even after the reservation has been confirmed. I had made a reservation to store my car there two weeks from now while I was out of the country. They just called to say they were giving my spot up to somebody else who could move in sooner unless I agreed to rent it starting tomorrow and pay an extra month's worth of rental while I am away. read more

SELF STORE IS AMAZING. Seriously. We are storage vets - plz at least check this out. Cheap, phenomenal service. They get overshadowed by the bigger players so they really go out of their way to please (both existing and new clients). The units are great as well, and the access is very convenient. BTW neighborhood says 'bayview/hunters point', but it is really more mission/potrero - just east of the Cesar Chavez exit off 101, next to the Lowe's. read more

I've had an amazing experience with Stop N' Stor so far. I recently moved up to San Francisco from Los Angeles and I contacted this storage facility to see if I could put a hold on a unit. Thankfully, they got back to me right away and said they could put the unit on hold until I got there. I was also able to fill out all of the paperwork before arriving so that I could just sign it and start moving in as soon as I got there. Claudette, Matt, and Cathy were all incredibly helpful. I was also lucky enough to get the help of their hired hand (I forget his name, so sorry!) who helped me move everything in my truck into the unit. He was an absolute godsend. And not only was the service great, but their prices are the best in town. And all of their units are drive-up, so you don't have to worry about lugging your stuff up multiple floors. I'm hoping to find an apartment soon and remove my items shortly after that, but if I ever need to store something in the future, I will definitely come back to Stop N Stor. read more

So far so good. Good price and seems like clean units. One of the girls who works the desk seems very smart and helpful and the other one seems like she may be a little less "into the job" or does doesn't care but she wasn't as nice to deal with. We hope this place stays in good shape and they don't come up with unusal charges but seems good right now. Free truck for move in, which was nice, easy drive-in and drive-out. Wish the hours were 24/7 but they don't have terrible hours and the price is right. Security seems good and the security guy I meant seems very nice. read more

Was able to move into a 5x5 space right away. really good size and price for the monthly and for the few hours notice. The facilities are pretty clean, and with their gates and surveillance. The place is very accessible and i feel secure that there's hours where no one can go in aka the time when shady things happen when it's dark time. A star knocked off for the incomplete service. The person I worked with is nice and accommodating, but because he was from another store, he didn't point out all the things I needed to sign and because of that I had to go back in at a different time to just finish the paperwork. I guess for the future, make sure that everyone is on the same page when renting out new space to tenants, better service that way! read more

I had a fantastic experience with Stop N Stor. To give a bit of background, it was a very stressful week trying to get out of my apartment, find a new apartment, and leave my stuff in storage in the meantime, while also starting a new job. I live in the Bernal Heights area, so I had contacted 9 different storage units. Stop N Stor was one of only three units that ever got back to me. Of the three units, Stop N Stor was in the middle in terms of cost, but it was the most conveniently located to me. Overall though, I was happy with the cost, as I received an online promotion and my 5x8 unit ended up at $100 for a month after the move-in cost, which was fairly reasonable. The unit is convenient as they allow you to drive straight in. The biggest reason I am giving 5 stars for this storage facility though is the customer service. I worked directly with Claudette and she was stellar. I am giving her 5-stars for her customer service alone. Claudette was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. She was very patient in helping me compare costs with various unit sizes, and seemed genuine in her desire to give me the lowest possible price. Even after I had already signed the rental agreement, she continued the stellar customer service. Luis was also excellent (he was the one who showed me the units). read more

We've been with Stop N Stor for about three years now, and it was recommended to us by my wife's grandmother, who was renting out a spot there. Basically, it's your smaller version of the Public Storages and U-Hauls out there, so that means the staff is more personable. There used to be a guy named Hugo who worked there, and he was the nicest guy ever. He even knew us on a first-name basis. Not sure where he went, but the staff now is also personable, though they don't really know us like that. The best part is that they lent us a moving truck, a 17' I believe, to help us haul our stuff there. Our spot was clean when we got it, no cobwebs or rat poop (due to the rat poison). The rates are very competitive with what's out there. Like I said before, we've been with Stop N Stor for 3 years now, and they are very easy to work with if for some reason you cannot come up with payment for the month. read more

Free truck availabe to use "but" found out there is always a $15 truck rental fee & you can only use it within 20 miles before the .79 cent per mile kicks in. (not quite free) Still a fair! Stop N Stor runs a very pleasant and efficient operation. Moving and self storage is usually stressful, but they made the process really easy and affordable. They even let you rent a large moving truck the day you move in FOR FREE making it really easy to drop your stuff off. All of their units are very accessible in that you're able to drive right up to it -compared to larger warehouse storage where your unit might be down a large narrow dark hallway with multiple doors and codes to enter. Great customer service and great location and hours. Big fan here! read more

I rented a parking space advertised for $100 a month but was charged $120 (seems the city managed to squeeze the extra 20 outta me by saying it was a "parking tax"). Can't fight city hall, as the saying goes, so I rented the space. Eight months later I received notice that the rent ( and city tax) will increase by 20% in one month. Upon inquiry I was informed that the rate hike was standard operating procedure by Stop N Stor Mini Storage company and that I could look forward to it every 9 months. That's 26.667% increase yearly. I stored household goods and furniture in a spacious and decently priced closet sized unit at Stop n Stor Mini Storage from 2/21 - 9/21. The staff was courteous, kind, and invested in my move. I called on the phone prior to my purchase and I was pleasantly surprised with the response times, thorough information and tour provided. The office staff and on site security were so friendly and went above and beyond for me, from giving me an immediate call when my unit was improperly locked to remembering me personally and sparking up a conversation 6 months later (shout out Mario!). The security was top notch and I had no issues in or out of the unit with strangers or solicitors. The office has discounted storage/moving goods, fun little giveaways, a free one day moving truck for your transport, and easy access/flexible hours. Stop n stor is really convenient and we were able to move into our 5x5 space quickly. The units are all ground floor so there are no elevators. You can drive right up to your unit which makes loading and unloading things really easy. On a side note, the units are made of repurposed shipping containers and are secured with an electronic alarm. Pretty sweet! read more
