There are very few customer service experiences that truly merit 5 stars, but the staff here at this facility really went above and beyond the call of duty in terms of customer service. We have always been happy with the way to facility is managed/regulated and the timely service for the actual unit and for payments. During our move out situation, our interstate trailer arrived almost an hour late. Due to the fact that trailers cannot be placed on the premises, we had no choice but to stay in our vehicle to reserve a parking space for that trailer. While my parents waited over 4 hours in the cold, John and Desiree offered to take care of them in the office during the extended wait. Upon the trailer's arrival, the moving process was incredibly slow due to the inefficiency and unprofessional behavior of our hired movers. John, having clocked out at 6:30 PM, stayed well over 3 hours to watch over us and the moving out process. He has such concern for his customers, and that level of commitment is hard to say for most businesses these days. As a family, we are sincerely grateful for his sympathy and understanding. I've used Security Public Storage on Hyde Ct for over a year now -- renting a small storage unit on the second floor -- and it's been a wonderful experience. The facility is extremely clean, there are always plenty of hand trucks available to move things in and out, and car access is very convenient and secure. I've never been worried about the safety of my belongings here. The place is large, so you might sometimes have to traverse long hallways with your things, but that's the only minor issue I've ever dealt with, and I think it's pretty common for economical storage facilities. I saw this place listed with several reviews and high rating, so I figured I'd go over and check it out. On my way over, I decided to stop by another storage rental place (closer to my place) but it was a very quick stop because the person at the front desk did not give a very good vibe. I came here and right when I came through the doors I was immediately and warmly greeted by the manager, John. The office was CLEAN, bright and sunny and relaxing (the way all offices should be). John was very personable and made me feel comfortable. He answered my questions and concerns, and the paperwork went very smoothly. The whole place is SO CLEAN! Talk about warm customer service and professionalism. The storage unit I rented is spacious, clean, and had an alarm system that alerts the front desk when the unit is open. John also showed us how to open the security gate and walked us out when we finished our transaction...he even gave me a nice aluminum bpa free custom water bottle for checking in on yelp. So conveniently located next door to my old apt, I was able to borrow dollies, load my stuff, and literally walk everything over and right into storage (um, with lots and lots of help from my honey, of course). The premises is kept well with a good number of dollies and big shopping carts for multiple customers to use at a time. Elevators are wide and accommodating. I once found the woman at the reception caught up with an extremely irate customer and she handled the ordeal professionally and patiently. It's pretty deluxe compared to other store age companies. The staff is always friendly and you don't see a bunch of sad mugs on people so that's good. The units are nice and the temp is fairly controlled so you aren't going to have all your belonging baking which kills books and furniture. read more

This place has got to have the BEST STAFF ever. Stressed over looking for a storage big enough to hold all my belongings, I called to inquire and was immediately taken by the warmth of the staff (I wish I remember their names right now but they are husband and wife and I couldn't ask for anyone better!). The discount helped a lot too! I recently went back half an hour before closing (day before memorial day) and panicked as I didn't remember my code and had to pay for the unit, the manager was on his way home but when I explained my situation he gladly rang up my bill and opened the gates for me. I've never had to deal with using public storage, and Security Public Storage was my first stop in checking out a few storage places around the area. John, the manager, was super nice and welcoming, and he clearly and patiently explained the rental process with no deposit and no contract. He delivered such great customer service that I didn't even feel the need to visit other storage places. After completing the paperwork for a 5'x5' unit, I changed my mind and wanted to get a bigger 5'x10' unit. Even though we had to redo all the paperwork for the unit change, John was extremely patient and had no issues with the change. The facility is very secure and clean, and there were free carts and dollies available for tenants to use. When I arrived with the moving truck to move my belongings inside, John came outside to make sure everything was okay and that I was safe with people I didn't know who were moving my things. He even talked to the moving people to make sure everything was okay. With the security system and John, I felt secure and comfortable moving my things into storage. John always goes above and beyond with customer service, and always says hello and is very welcoming. He treats all the tenants like family, and will go out of his way to make sure the customer gets the best out of their experience. This is the cleanest public storage facility I have ever seen in my life. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Never experienced any issues with getting access to my stuff due to facility hours, and they are really good about posting signs to notify of any upcoming holidays or unexpected closures.
