    I hope that this comment will save people's property (both belongings and $). Let's start with fraudulent practice: their 10x30 units are really 10x24. Just FYI they offer 10x5 units for $209 as of the date of this comment (figure out the lost value of your rental that you are being tricked by). I took a video of my movers measuring the unit with a measuring tape. Local management can't do anything about it. Corporate management will point to Section 3 of your Lease/ Rental Agreement which states..."Any description of the size of Your Space is an estimate based on Building Office Management Association standards that does not ensure any specific amount of usable space. Your Space and the Facility have NOT been inspected by a Certified Access Specialist. Before moving in, you examined Your Space and had the opportunity to measure it. You agree that it and the Facility meet your needs and you accept them "As-Is". Good luck, loser! There are complaints about rats - don't worry, if you store your belongings for longer than 2 weeks, they will rot to a condition that no rat will dare to nibble or touch them. The units are on top of the mountain that separates Daly City from Pacifica - constant fog coupled with zero isolation will result in mold growing quicker than you get to pay your first rental bill. Don't deceive yourself that moisture absorbing packets will be a game changer: for large units you will need at least a barrel of this stuff to keep it dry for a week. Road conditions for outside entrance units are terrible and I have not seen dirt being cleaned at any time. Good luck placing your stuff on the ground when loading/unloading. See pics attached. Lastly, the rent WILL go up. Very soon and very often. Staff at the counter are nice and polite!

    This place has rats. I had to move all my stuff out to prevent further damage. It is also really expensive.

Unlike those big corporate franchises, Lisa is a one person management department, which is the best management. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years but they no longer value my patronage. They not only raised the monthly rent multiple times (which is expected for inflation) but they also discontinued a discount that I had on my unit since they knew I would be a long-term renter. When I tried to negotiate a compromise, all I received back was pretty much a "Don't like it? Then get out." I hate businesses that don't keep their word. Very disappointed how they've become just like any other public storage location. =(

The woman on the phone was very dismissive and basically didn't want to help at all. Instead, she said that anything that had to do with my lease and/or refund should be discussed with the manager. I tried to explain that I had already spoken to the manager a few times and all he could do is let me know that he would contact billing. Her response was the same: dismissive tone and attitude that made me realize this call with her was pointless. Perhaps it's good that I'm canceling my lease with ready spaces because this isn't the kind of company that I want to work with.

I have been a long time tenant and grew from a 100 sq ft unit to a 2,500 sq ft unit. I have repeatedly reported a broken toilet in the conference room for several months. Despite numerous attempts to contact the property manager via phone, email, and in person, the issue remains unresolved. This lack of attention to critical maintenance concerns poses significant health and safety risks to occupants. It also shows the lack of professionalism and care for the tenants in the property. Property manager is unresponsive to urgent requests. I have made requests for access codes for my employees, pallet rack installations, electricity and forklift certifications. These requests have been consistently ignored, causing significant disruptions to our operations. There is also a complete lack of communication and care. Andre consistently fails to respond to emails and phone calls. When I visit his office, he is often unavailable and claims to be "too busy" to address my concerns and makes it seem as if I am deeply troubling him. Phone calls are consistently redirected to other team members and go unanswered. This lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable and hinders effective property management. I am not sure what he does for months but he is consistently too busy to address any concerns and is in consistent meetings hidden away in his office. It is evident that the property manager prioritizes his own schedule and convenience over the needs of his tenants. His unwillingness to respond to emails and phone calls, and his frequent unavailability in his office, demonstrate a blatant disregard for the importance of tenant satisfaction and the impact his actions have on our businesses. The property manager's lack of responsiveness and disregard for tenant needs have caused significant disruptions to our business operations costing us great financial harm. Delays in addressing maintenance issues, lack of access to necessary resources, and the constant frustration of trying to communicate with him have negatively impacted our productivity and overall satisfaction with the property. I have wasted countless hours of my time attempting to chase this man down to get a response. Given the severity and frequency of these issues, I believe a serious performance review of the property manager is urgently needed. I have effectively escalated the issue to his managers and various other team members in executive level positions and will see if the issue is addressed.

Each hike came with the same vague, copy-paste explanation about "market conditions" and "facility costs," but nothing actually changed except the price. This predatory pricing strategy clearly relies on the fact that moving a storage unit is costly, time-consuming, and disruptive for customers. If you rent here, assume the initial rate is temporary and expect aggressive annual increases.

First, when I tried to rent a second unit online, I was offered a reduced rate. However, when I went in person to adjust the location of the unit, I was told I did not qualify for the reduced rate because I was already a tenant. They informed me that it's a system issue and that they would cancel my reservation and re-rent it to me at a higher rate. Needless to say, I canceled the unit entirely. Second, just five months into my contract, I was notified of a nearly 22% rate increase. In all my years of renting storage units, I have only ever seen rent increases after a full year--not a few months in. At no point during signup was I informed this would be the case. Had I known, I would have reconsidered using this facility. When I called to express my concerns, the staff member was polite and assured me he would escalate the issue to the regional manager. Two weeks later, I've heard nothing back. If you are considering this facility, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Transparency and fair business practices are essential in this industry, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. After renting at multiple other storage facilities, this has left a particularly bad taste in my mouth.
