ZippGo moving boxes provided a wonderful service for our move. After seeing some neighbors using a reusable box service, I decided to look into using something similar. ZippGo rents you a certain amount of boxes based on how many rooms/square feet you are moving, and they deliver the boxes to your address, you use them for a move, and they pick them up at the new address. It was easy to schedule and make sure the drop off and pickup worked at an appropriate time. The boxes themselves are sturdy plastic, and the top interlocks so you don't need any packing tape. The boxes fit on top of each other which makes them easy to stack and move. You can also pick box inserts that are designed for plates and glassware which made it so easy to move these items. I would recommend ZippGo in a heartbeat- it made our move faster, easier, and more eco friendly too! read more

I am so incredibly grateful for ZippGo! I tried going back to regular cardboard boxes that I picked up for free for a small move--big mistake! The difference in packing efficiency was so noticeable compared to my last few moves using their system, that I reached out to ZippGo this morning with a last-minute request to switch over. Even though their driver was already on the road, Sarah was incredibly responsive and quickly worked out solutions to get me what I needed in record time. Sarah and her driver, Javier's, dedication to customer service was truly impressive. That said, I'd recommend planning ahead rather than making last-minute requests like I did! Note that their drivers don't work on Sundays and Mondays, so be sure to schedule your box deliveries in advance. You have the option to add other packing supplies for convenience or if you're running short on time. I moved from a studio and from 2 bedroom apartments. The studio package included more than enough boxes for my first move and the 1 bedroom package worked for my 2 bed apartments. It really depends on how much stuff you have and how far you're moving. For a local move, I didn't have to worry too much about packing efficiently or securely. One week rental has worked for me but I've moved less than 5 miles. Loved this service! I did a studio size package w wardrobe box. The boxes, wardrobe box, and dolly seemed very clean and sanitary, and that dolly was so helpful for rolling around my place to gather things to be packed!!! Loved the boxes- The box tops have an easy intuitive "locking" mechanism so they are securely closed and lay flat for stacking, with some ridges around the sides so you can stack em and they won't shift around, and they were very spacious. They're a little heavy compared to cardboard of course but I think it's a good trade off. The wardrobe box was cool! Neat simple hangar bar, held a lot, and the box is very sturdy with Velcro to aid in assembly and keep it nice and tidy. The hangar bar seems super strong, though be warned if you have kids size hangars the bar is a bit wide (still works though). I also really appreciated that they include some labels in the order! Such a smart idea to drop off to you at the starting point and pick back up at your end point too. It was a quick drop off and pick up with reasonable time frames and they were on time/early. Great and friendly communication from the ZippGo company with helpful alerts/notifications. My movers were also appreciative that the boxes were so organized, easy to stack! 5 stars for service: Service was great. Easy to order the boxes, the delivery and pickup were painless and on time. 3.5 stars for the boxes: The boxes themselves are a little painful to deal with, and I didn't have quite enough of them, so had to do some cardboard also, which was not ideal. The dolly helped a lot, but it would be nicer if the boxes were a little smaller or came in a couple different sizes. I had a hard time figuring out how to pack them so things wouldn't move around, and so the boxes wouldn't end up being too heavy. I'm a small person, so even getting my arms around them was not that easy. Also, they're kind of a pain to stack when they're open - the lid flaps tend to get in the way. The zip tie thing is great, very easy - my only advice there is to make sure you have something to clip them off with after you get to your destination! But no tape to deal with! That said, I loved (mostly) not having to assemble cardboard boxes. Will definitely consider using these again next time I move. read more

They fit very tightly in the moving truck and nothing broke or got smashed! They come with zip ties so no obnoxious tape and then someone picks them up when you're done using them. A friend referred me to this company, as she used it when she moved from Alameda to Palo Alto. When I was coordinating my move, they were quick to respond and to coordinate around my schedule. It was quick and painless, and I appreciated being able to use an eco friendly method to move my belongings from Palo Alto to Menlo Park. The uniformed containers helped the movers stack and pack the truck more easily, and being able to zip tie the containers shut on either end ensured nothing fell out of the boxes during transport. For reference I used 25 boxes for my one bedroom apartment, but I could have benefited from the wardrobe boxes also offered to make things easier. Make sure to have a box cutter or heavy duty scissors to cut the zip ties off after transport, and evenly distribute the heavier items across multiple boxes so you don't hurt yourself when lifting and moving! read more

Since we were out of the area for pickup, we returned the crates ourselves and they were very flexible about letting us return them in batches. So much easier than buying cardboard boxes and taping them. ZippGo boxes are the perfect size and made my move a lot easier. They fit all major household items that would have gone in regular cardboard boxes. And you are not left with a ton of recycling material after your move is done. The staff is amazing and accommodates your needs. I had to change my final address and my pickup dates and they didn't have any complaints. The driver Javier was punctual and delivered and picked up the boxes right on time they had estimated. Great service - will use again!! Saves a lot of time! Going and buying boxes from Home Depot and having to bring them back home is the thing I hate the most and then having to break the boxes down after the move and recycle them is the thing I hate second most! So this got rid of all of that hassle. Just finished an amazing moving experience with ZippGo! So I was in a rush to leave my last place and I knew I did not want to use any cardboard boxes to pack up all my things. I deal with a lot of cardboard boxes at work, and I know how dirty, weak, and impractical they are. From having to buy them at a high cost, to building them, taping, and then breaking them down after just using them once, I knew I didn't want to deal with the hassle of all that. I was making the move all by myself, so I wanted everything to be as least exhausting as possible. I remembered seeing ads online for rentable moving bins and was so grateful to have found ZippGo. I went online and booked a dropoff date and 2 timeslot windows - one as your preferred and then the next as an alternative. I noticed that slots were filled at least one week in advance, so plan accordingly. Prices are really affordable for renting and the supplies. Super simple! They sent me a confirmation e-mail for my order, texts the day before the dropoff/pickup, and also text updates the day of. The texts were from a real person too! So appreciated and did lot leave me waiting around for hours unlike my movers did. My delivery was made during the estimated window, and the driver was amazing. He called when he arrived and helped me bring a 1 bedroom package into my place. He actually forgot the dolly included with the bins and I forgot to double-check (so remember to!), but I was able to call CS and they were super helpful and apologetic and took care of it right away for me. Amazing service! The bins themselves were a joy to use. The material is so strong and sturdy (holds up to 80 pounds!) and most importantly, all of them were CLEAN! I felt comfortable enough that I did not wrap or pad most of my smaller loose items. I just placed them neatly into the bins so that they wouldn't fall around. It made packing up my entire life so much easier and I'm so grateful to ZippGo for providing this great service. I ended up renting 2 wardrobe boxes too. People said that movers usually provide those for free, BUT just rent these instead! I'm so glad I did because they are so much stronger and cleaner than the cardboard ones the movers had. I also knew I didn't want to still be packing my clothes the day of the move, so I'm really happy to have had these wardrobe boxes to have hung my clothes on so that moving day was less stressful. This is our third time using moving boxes and our second time using ZippGo. There are so many reasons I love using moving boxes. I love that they're waterproof, stackable, that you don't need to use tape or recycle them afterward and that the company picks them up after you're done. It really encourages the honey to un-pack because we can't keep them. The boxes are super easy on the movers since they don't have to be worried about breaking them open and they easily fit together. Our larger boxes were green colored (the smaller were grey), so all the kitchen stuff was simple to identify, and I'd also ordered two four wheel rolling dollies which made the small step to our new place easy for them to traverse. Beyond hiring movers in the first place, ZippGo moving boxes were the best decision I made during our move. The ZippGo employee dropped them off on time, and they were great to just dump things into (we use towels and clothes to wrap our breakables). The only items I wouldn't get again were the huge blue wardrobe boxes I'd gotten for my nice clothes. They didn't hold the square form well (they are collapsible) so next time I won't bother with them. That being said, as a note I always order more boxes than I think we'll need. I did that with this move after having to order more for the first move and we had just exactly enough. All in all, I will definitely keep using moving boxes, and I have loved using ZippGo! read more

I LOVE ZippGo! Prior to this recent move, I didn't even know renting boxes was an option. A friend mentioned the idea to me, I did some Yelping and that's how I discovered ZippGo. Long story short: If you at all value your time, I highly recommend ZippGo. Pros: - No having to deal with building/putting together cardboard boxes!! I often put together boxes for work and trust me, you do not want to be putting together 30+ boxes by hand WHILE you are packing your life away. It gets tedious real fast. - No wrangling with tape because ZippGo boxes close with an interleaving design. This is great because when it comes down to it and you really want to seal it, you just zip tie it and you're sure nothing will fall out! - The boxes stack really nicely. No worrying about them sliding or wobbling off like cardboard boxes do. - Convenient scheduling, pickup, AND delivery! Our delivery guy was Javier and he was very professional, friendly, quick, and efficient! - Also, convenient extension! This was so handy as we were exhausted from the move and didn't want to rush to unpack as well. Thanks Sarah for being so accommodating! Tiny tiny nitpick: - Stacking empty can be tricky because the box lids don't stack if they hang vertically down so you need to make sure you flap open them a little bit when stacking so that you don't catch your fingers.
