I strongly warn other customers to be very careful before hiring this moving company. Based on my experience, the pricing was not transparent, the move was extremely slow, and the overall process became a total disaster. I hired them to move a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with a baby grand piano. The final cost was almost $4,000, which I believe is extremely overpriced for this type of move. The original quote is less than $2000. The movers did continue working, but the pace was very slow. The full move took about 17 hours, far beyond the original 8-hour booking, which resulted in significant additional charges. The piano moving fee was especially frustrating. The listed piano moving charge was $320, but at the end of the day, I was told that the $320 only covered two hours of work. Because three people were involved, the piano took about four hours, and additional fees were added, the piano move alone ended up costing around $1,000. This was not clearly explained upfront, and I consider this a hidden-fee issue. The piano move also did not seem efficient. It took three people about four hours to move the baby grand piano. From my previous experience with professional piano movers, the same type of work took no more than about one hour. This made me question whether they had the right level of piano-moving expertise. The move was also not easy for us as customers. They asked us to move some valuable items ourselves, such as screens, because wrapping and moving them might take longer. As a result, while they were packing and moving, we were also carrying items ourselves. It felt like we became additional unpaid movers during a move that we had already paid professionals to handle. They also used large reusable cloth boxes and required us to empty and return them during the move. This meant that while they were moving other items into the house, we had to clean out and organize those large boxes ourselves. This added a lot of extra physical work and stress. My previous movers used disposable wardrobe or cloth boxes, which made the process much easier. Their labeling was also very poor. They appeared to reuse old boxes that already had marker labels on them, and they did not consistently label every box. Some boxes had missing labels, while others had incorrect or unclear labels. Because of this, we spent the rest of the week trying to figure out where our belongings were. The move was not thorough either. Even after we told them to move an entire room, we still had to take another trip back to collect many small items they left behind. This created more work, more time, and more frustration after an already exhausting move. Overall, this was a terrible moving experience. The final price was much higher than expected, the piano fee was not clearly explained, the move took far too long, and we still had to do a lot of work ourselves before, during, and after the move. These movers are extremely hard working. 100% satisfied with my moving experience. I hired Run Run Moving a few weeks ago to move my entire apartment of 3 floors to another home of 3 floors. The workers were fast and needed very little directions. They also provided a bunch of coverings and tape, enough for 3 couches and 3 TV's. They even covered my tables, bar stools, and all my shelves. They paid attention to the little details and didn't scrape the walls at all. I had enough boxes to fill up an entire truck load (it took them 2 trips to move all my stuff). At the very last minute, I asked them to help me pack items in my fridge and freezer, and they weren't sure if they'd have time, but they ended up doing it anyway, which I appreciated. I had a great experience with Run Run Moving! The company was very responsive and flexible in the coordination process. The two movers named Wu were super diligent and efficient. They had all the right equipment for wrapping tape, mats, trolleys to ensure that my furniture and boxes were protected. And they have a huge truck with an elevator platform, so only one trip was needed. They also helped me take apart and put together my bed with their tools. I recently had a disappointing experience with Run Run and feel it's important to share for others considering their services. Initially, we agreed on a noon move time. However, when we reached out the day before to confirm, they informed us we had not sent a confirmation email back--a step we were not told was necessary. Despite this, their employee was included in the original email confirmation. They then told us they would arrive around 2 PM instead. On the moving day, the movers informed us they would arrive at 3 PM, then at 4 PM. They finally showed up at 5 PM. It became apparent that the movers were likely exhausted and hungry, having already completed two jobs before arriving at ours. This significantly slowed down the process and affected their efficiency. They even had to stop by McDonald's before unloading. Unfortunately, we had to pay for the extra time due to their diminished energy. To make matters worse, they could not fit all our belongings in their truck, necessitating two trips. We ended up renting a U-Haul ourselves. The entire process took 9 hours, even with an additional worker coming in for the unloading. After finally finishing, we had to drive back to drop off the U-Haul, not getting home until 5 AM. During the move, we went out to buy beverages for the movers because we had already packed everything in the fridge. When we returned, we discovered a hole in the drywall on the staircase that wasn't there before we left. Communication was also an issue. When we asked for assistance with wrapping or unpacking our bed frame, the movers were hesitant and seemed unsure if they could help, giving the impression that we were asking too much. Additionally, their truck wouldn't start when we were finally ready to move to our new home, causing further delays. We ended up negotiating an hour less pay due to these delays and their food stop. A mover invited their friend and spent time chatting and helping their friends while we are paying and tipping for movers on hourly base. 3. Movers asked my husband to buy them Chinese lunch boxes. When we politely rejected the request, the lead mover told us to go away rudely. 4. Movers are NOT low paid workers. Run Run charges us the hourly rate at $160 for 3 person/hour minimum and REQUIRES TIPS FOR $10/PERSON/HOUR 5. The movers don't understand English or Chinese but Cantonese! The owner Kevin denied that his people don't understand Chinese. 6. Finally DON'T SIGN THE RECEIPT without reading the small print that THEY WONT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEM AFTER YOU GIVE YOUR SIGNATURE. Unfortunately my 73 years old husband signed the receipt without being able to read the fine print without reading glasses. DONT LET THE MOVERS LEAVE TILL YOU CHECK EVERY FURNITURE AND BOXES, because they will deny any problem after you sign the receipt!!! We have discovered missing glass shelf for my EA cabinet and Andrew won't close any more. As I wrote this review, we continue to find problems. We've accumulated a lot of furniture and knick knacks throughout our years.) moving forward the day of the move 3 men show up with a large truck. They are fast and efficient. They get to work right away no time wasted. One guy is inside the house package and securely wrapping, while the other two start moving things into the truck and strategically packs everything nice and tight. We had a refrigerator that would not fit through any of the doors in the house. Mr. Li an older man with a pony tail, is so knowledgeable and spares no time in helping us figure out how we can get this fridge out, and we ended up removing the front door to get it out. I have 5 very important pieces of furniture that are family heirlooms that's been in our family for years. I stressed to them not one scratch can be on there. I examined everything once they brought our furniture to the new home, everything was well protected and in outstanding shape. They even helped us hook up our washer/dryer/refrigerator and told us what attachments are needed. (this is after we already paid them). I see other yelpers complaining about buying them lunch. I see no issue with that they are working 8+hrs. Do you expect them not to eat? Even when we brought them food, they ate in less than 5 mins and continued working. The movers started out very friendly, and it turned out that one of them knew my neighbor so lots of chit chatting while they slowly packed my stuff. after my neighbor had left the two movers allegedly moved some boxes and chairs down to the truck. I waited for almost half an hour upstairs. When I went down to check on what was going on, one of them got upset and accused me of not trusting them. The move was finally over after 4 hours. The company suggested I tip each mover $10/hour and I tipped each one $50 - $10 more than company suggestion. This however didn't seem enough and the two of them stood there and demanded more. I just had my 2nd move with Ron Ron. They showed up half an hour earlier than the appointment time with 3 men and a truck (1 more man than what we agreed on). The movers are very polite, professional, and finished moving all my stuff (bed, desk, couch, and many many boxes) door to door within 1.5 hours, including 20 mins of driving time. Considering that their rate is very reasonable, and they finished their job fast, I will use them again. However, make sure that you are comfortable with the following points before hiring them: 1. Communication with customer service: To arrange an appointment, all you need is a 5min-call telling them your current and new address and your phone number 1 week in advanced, no credit card no. or deposit asked. MAKE SURE YOU AGREED ON THE RATE ($55/hr for 2 men and a truck, $70 for 3 men and a truck, and the approximate duration), YOU NEVER KNOW IF THEY WILL SHOW UP WITH 2 OR 3 MEN. Call in 1/2 days before your move to confirm the time. Do not expect any confirmation call (that is quite nerve racking). 2. Communication with mover: Please understand that the movers are Chinese, and English is their second language. Both times I hired them, they have one guy in the team who speaks English decently, but non-Chinese speaker may find it frustrating. 3. Care of furniture: They didn't wrap my furniture and mattress as per my request, but all my furniture are either from my college time/ from craig's list, so I didn't care. In the last fifteen years, I hired Ron Ron Moving several times to help me move my home and office. In general, its employees did a good job. Several weeks ago, I hired it to help me move boxes from a storage facility and furniture and belongings to our new house. It took a long time to move the boxes out of the storage facility and the movers left approximately twenty boxes in the storage space before leaving. I was shocked because the moving truck was clearly much larger than the storage space. After moving the boxes to our new house, the movers wanted to quit at 6 p.m. and did not want to move our furniture and personal belongings from an apartment to our new house. I have to plead with the movers to not leave me stranded in the middle of the move. They finally agreed and did move the furniture and most of the boxes and bags. Two days later, I ask Ron Ron to help me move the rest of the boxes in storage to our new house. Once again, at 4:30 p.m., the movers wanted to quit and leave. I was furious. I felt that the movers had set up me up by not moving all of the boxes from the storage facility in the first place. They also pressured me into giving them a larger tip, so they would not quit on me. In addition, after we unpacked, we discovered that a case of water and V8 were missing.
