Super fast and efficient very gentle with furniture and other belongings, had all materials and boxes, did assembly and disassembly, great communication with the owner and the crew throughout. Decide early on what furniture to dis and re assemble versus move as is, and make a correct estimate on the overall volume / size of truck needed. read more

Had to coordinate a move for my mother in law, and Adam was great to work with. He was a very clear communicator, and was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I requested a quote from Impel and a few other movers in the area through yelp. I didn't realize these quotes often aren't fully accurate; other movers' final quote was almost twice the initial quote I received. Impel's was accurate, and actually even cheaper than what their final quote was. My mother in law said they were very nice and helpful, and they finished really quickly. Happy to be recommending Impel as a great option for movers in the area. read more

I hired Impel moving to just unpack my 8ft POD. My team was Nick and Eugene and these guys were great! I did a cross country move so only had a couple big items but a ton of boxes. My POD was about .20 miles from my front door so a long distance; I gave them a heads up but it was no issue for them. I think it took 4-5 trips so pretty efficient and fast. The guys were nice, communicative, professional and took a lot of care with my stuff. They set up my platform bed for me and put my big furniture right where I needed it. Would totally hires these guys again! read more

Yelp guaranteed... Verified license... High marks from fellow Yelpers! We needed some large and heavy items moved from 100 miles away and selected Impel Moving. They provided an estimate with an upper maximum limit that we were comfortable with. Arrangements were made via email and over the phone, and the office staff were always courteous and responsive. We needed to get the things moved within a few weeks and they were willing and able to come based on our schedule. The team of four were on time and they were incredibly agile and strong. On moving day we received text updates on their arrival time. The team communicated and worked well with each other. They were fastidious about keeping track of their time, which we appreciated. For example, they stopped for lunch and deducted their time from the total. The movers were extremely careful and I was amazed at how efficient they were. They wrapped and boxed up items carefully so that nothing would be damaged. I was impressed watching them in action. A piano and pool table were included in the move and they had to navigate a few steps for these heavy items. Lots of heavy woodworking equipment was also moved and they placed it in the destination workshop in an organized fashion. We were totally satisfied with the results and appreciate their kind demeanor and strong work ethic. Thank you so much, Impel! read more

We booked Impel Moving after talking with Adam and discussing how we were moving from our home into storage pods as we were planning a long distance move after a long vacation. Adam was great explaining all the details during the booking process and what we could expect on our moving days. Fast forward to the day and our moving team showed up on time and ready to go. We booked full packing services and the guys jumped right in and got going on packing everything in a super professional manner. Our belongings were packing with a lot of care into boxes and furniture wrapped super well to prepare for a few months of storage and then a long distance move. The guys really went above and beyond to pack our pods really efficiently and maximized every bit of space. With that said we didn't end up having enough room so we scrambled and Adam made a storage and moving solution work for us for what we had remaining. It was a relief to have a versatile company step up and help with what could have been a huge problem for us. Would definitely recommend these guys especially for packing and moving, they work hard and really strive to do a good job. Shoutout to Islambek, Alex, Rinat (Ryan), & Dmitry for everything! read more

I've never used movers before but Impel was fantastic. Communication up front was very clear, and they were very responsive on getting our buildings HOA the right certificate of insurance. I was feeling a bit nervous since I only got an automated confirmation email the day prior, but they arrived right on time at the POD facility in Oakland, and had their truck loaded in half an hour (8'x8'x7' POD). The team was very professional and careful with everything, I found some scuffs from shipping across the country but nothing broken or damaged from Impel's moving. Great experience and 100% worth the money. Hopefully will be in this place awhile but will be looking to use Impel again next time. read more

The entire process with Impel from quote to the last box being moved was surprising easy. Pricing was competitive and transparent. No surprise charges. The crew was professional, thoughtful and careful with our things. The team knew what they were doing and did it well. Our new home has a lot of stairs, they navigated the move in process fantastically. Furniture disassembly and assembly went well. Moving is hard and expensive. Impel made it more palatable. Highly recommend. read more

After some trial and error with other moving companies, I cannot say enough good things about Impel Moving. The team was on time, extremely polite, and unbelievably efficient. They handled delicate pieces carefully but also showed a lot of consideration for bulkier furniture. Not a single thing was broken or scratched. The moving distance was 50+ miles across the Bay Area and we still finished up in just over six hours. For all of that, I thought the price was totally reasonable. read more

I would give TEN STARS if I could!! Your guys Ivan and Ben were EXTRAORDINARY in every way! Extremely accommodating and very professional. I couldn't be happier with their service and personalities!! read more

I absolutely love Impel Moving! They're one of the best moving companies not only in the Bay Area, but across California. First and most importantly, I want to highlight the owner, Denis. He stays personally involved, is always easy to reach, and truly cares about his clients. He consistently acts in the customer's best interest, which is incredibly important in this business. Second, their rates are very reasonable for today's market. I've looked into other companies, and many of them are simply overpriced. And third, the team. I've used Impel Moving several times, and I've never had any issues -- none of the problems you sometimes hear about, like damaged items, hidden fees, or pressure for tips. The crew is always polite, professional, and hardworking -- the kind of people you actually want to tip at the end. I've seen a few reviews from people expecting faster service. My advice -- try carrying a few heavy boxes or a couch up the stairs yourself, and you might see things differently. Moving is hard work, and if you can see the crew putting in the effort, there really shouldn't be any complaints. Thank you again for your hard work, Impel Moving! read more

Rustam and Azim (at least I think that was his name) were a bit late, but they called and informed me. They were very courteous and respectful. They were very careful with my furniture, wrapped and protected everything. With that in mind, it took about twice as long as the estimate was to move everything. even though I packed everything myself. with double drive time (required by CA law) it ended up being over 12 hours, so the final charge was almost twice as much as the estimate. and there was only 1 container with dishes that was completely shattered. They probably dropped it or dropped something on it, but didn't say anything. I only found out later at night when I was unpacking it. Otherwise they were awesome. They did not waste any time. They were working very hard all day. so if you get an estimate, double it, as with all the wrapping and protecting your stuff, it takes much longer. They offered me an option not protecting my stuff, but I chose to have it protected. read more

I had a great experience with these folks. Reasonably priced and they're clear of any potential charges up front. Islam was super responsive. The moving team, Mira and Eldr, were easy to work with, respectful of my preferences, and fast! Highly recommend. read more

5 stars for the crew, would use again. Ben and Nur were great. Efficient, professional, and careful with everything including my 65" OLED TV which they wrapped and handled without any issues. They worked hard the entire time without dragging their feet. The one thing I'd flag is that my final bill came in notably higher than the initial quote. It wasn't anything shady. Double drive time is a California requirement and the hours were legitimate, but if you're budgeting for a long distance move, just know the quote is a starting point and build in some buffer. Overall I'd recommend Impel. Good crew, no damage, and the owner reached out after the move to check in which was a nice touch. read more

I hired Impel to move two items that each weighed over 250 pounds, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. They were transparent throughout every step of the process, courteous, punctual, and fair with their pricing. The team was incredibly detail-oriented when packing and transporting my items, treating everything with great care and professionalism. I highly recommend their services and will definitely be using them again in the future! read more

I hired Impel moving for packing and moving services. The team, Ron, Ryan, Alex, and Eldiyar were courteous and packed our belongings with great care. We're not fully unpacked, but we've only found one small item that broke, but it was nothing valuable. I agree with other reviews stating that the movers were slow--The total time after removing breaks (10.75 hours) was 30% more than the upper end of the original quote (6-8 hours). I appreciate that they were careful with our belongings and were genuinely working hard, but a little bit more realism with the quote would have been helpful. So why am I rating this three stars? The team took a nearly two hour long lunch break. I'm not against breaks for workers, but this was absurdly long. It pushed our move much later into the night. We weren't charged for this time, but I would have appreciated better communication about how the team takes breaks. I had to call the office to figure out was going on! The office told me that the crew would reach out to me directly with when they would be back. (They did not). I think it would also be useful for the office to let potential customers know how much time to factor in for breaks and that they won't be charged for them. read more

Great service from Ben and Igor would highly recommend! They made moving fast and easy :)

Really great experience. Things with our seemingly straightforward move were going smoothly and ahead of schedule, until a steeper-than-we-realized driveway at our new home meant the moving truck couldn't get all the way up. The team tried all the angles, but it was impossible. Without missing a beat, they parked at the bottom of the hill, and hustled bringing all the furniture up a steep 200 ft+ driveway into our new home, and still made it only a little late to their afternoon appointment with someone else. Really appreciate the team not fretting about the situation and making it work, highly highly recommend. Beyond that, billing was fair and exactly as communicated, the team worked quickly, they were all friendly, took good care of all the furniture. read more

Great service! We requested 3 movers for a 1-bedroom given the amount of furniture and items (had enough stuff to count as a 2 bedroom), plus knowing the moving truck would have to be parked relatively far away, and in busy areas. The team arrived on time (I was able to confirm by phone, and received email confirmation) and was fully prepared to handle our moving and packing needs. They worked seamlessly together and communicated effectively with me and my partner as we continued packing. We were impressed by how quickly and thoughtfully they moved items out of our home and onto the truck. Even more impressive was how efficiently they moved everything into our new place, a two-story walk-up! Their professionalism and organization made the entire move easy and stress-free. They were careful and respectful of our belongings every step of the way. The Impel team's reliability and efficiency made this an outstanding experience and a great value. I highly recommend for anyone who needs a team (Ron, Sergy, and Alex) that communicates beforehand, and can work quickly on the day of the move (7.5 hrs total). It's worth it to have peace of mind and the extra time to set up your new home. Worth noting that the team also appreciated the beverages and lunch (sandwiches from local deli) we offered during the day, in addition to the tips. I would happily use Impel for a future move. Thanks, again! read more

We used Impel for our house move in SF, including packing and moving. The scheduling process was easy, and the packing job was well done and efficient. Most importantly, nothing was damaged or broken in the move. Where these guys really impressed us was with the move itself. First, our moving day was during the atmospheric river in SF which brought heavy rains and flash flooding, and our movers were total troopers throughout. Secondly, we needed a large and heavy sleeper sofa moved in to room down a somewhat narrow flight of stairs with a right angle halfway down. We didn't think it would be possible but they made it work by taking down (and later reinstalling) the handrail and sheer perseverance. I would hire these guys again in a heart beat. They weren't the cheapest option but definitely worth it in my opinion. read more

My experience with Impel was great! They showed up on time and navigated a pretty gnarly parking lot in order to park their moving truck. They also navigated a pretty poorly packed apartment (I'd had under two days to pack :-( ) and managed to get all of my stuff safely on the truck. They disassembled and reassembled the big furniture, saving probably days of moving in time for me. They were kind and professional and super super helpful and not single thing (not even a plant!) was damaged. No crazy hidden fees, everything upfront. Literally nothing I'd been anxious about turned out to be an issue. They even had some extra boxes and moving blankets. Definitely worth the price. My experience with Impel was incredible and I will definitely be requesting their service again with future moves. read more

Excellent excellent excellent! Would recommend 10/10 - Impel moving has made my move so much easier and peaceful. This is my first time using movers and I am VERY pleased. They have 5 stars for a reason. From the beginning they had outstanding communication and fast responses. Adam, was in constant communication with me and was with me every step of the way. He was able to procure a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for my HOA and also kept me in the loop ASAP under a deadline. The booking process was extremely easy - receiving a quote and also booking point A to point B. I received calendar invites to ensure and confirm my time and it was even flexible when I needed to push back the pick up time. My drivers showed up on time, texted me, and called me when they were at my address. They were extremely patient, kind, and flexible with my schedule, as well as hearing my concerns about the move and the area that I live(d) in. I offered to help - but they literally took care of everything! All I had to do was work on my own things while they took care of the rest. They knew how to move any items - from fragile to big and treated my items with care. They double wrapped all my items and also carried them with care up and down the stairs. My items are still in tip top shape. Tip your drivers! Thank you Nick and colleague, Adam, and Impel company - I will for sure be using this company again when I decide to move and will be recommending to my friends. read more

If you want to see team work, this crew of two were as good as they get & it was a pleasure to watch them work together They listened carefully to any instructions or requests I had. The things I had to move were loaded up in hour, they were so efficient & inside the truck everything was neat and orderly. The receiving party said they did everything perfect! I hope they get a nice Christmas bonus! I'd definitely use this company again. Loading, unloading and driving time, just over $600. Worth every $. read more

We ordered a 3-man team for our move from Milpitas to Emerald Hills, and Islam, Alex #1, and Alex #2 did a phenomenal job despite a lot of extra complications and asks. For example, they: - honored our request to be as clean as possible with our new home - shifted our furniture a few times to ensure best placement on top of our rugs - moved our outdoor furniture from lower deck to upper - helped dismount my Rogue wall squat rack from the old home and successfully installed it in our new garage despite the floor being uneven The only downside I'd say about Impel Moving is the estimated quote was incredibly inaccurate. They said 5 hours, and we ended up with almost 14 so please be wary of a drastic difference in quote to final cost. Thankfully, their hourly rates are quite competitive, and their service excellent as mentioned. read more

Ivan and his partner, ( sorry I forgot your name) were right on time.
