This was a ~$2,000 move. Nothing was lost or broken, and the supporting movers themselves were hardworking and sweet. I appreciated their effort and demeanor, which is why I tipped them well. However, I would not recommend this company for moves involving artwork or higher-end furniture. Despite confirming in advance that proper art-packing materials (mirror boxes and acid-free paper) would be provided, they were not available on move day. Large artworks were wrapped with cling film and dirty moving blankets, resulting in soiling on the backs. The crew did not appear adequately trained in handling fine art or delicate furnishings. They did not know simple things like bubble paper should have the bubble on the inside. Dirty items were kept on my RH furniture this staining the wood. Management told me to proceed with payment and that any issues would be adjusted afterward, but no adjustment was ultimately made and promised follow-up did not occur. The crew used appeared to be contract workers (Four Leaf Clover), and there was a noticeable sense that work time was being extended. I had specifically mentioned no outside contractors. I was also concerned to find debris the next morning, including leaves and a moth, suggesting the truck and moving materials were not clean. Fine for a basic move, but not suitable if you have artwork or items requiring careful, professional handling. Update (Jan 2026): I originally had a difficult experience related to the handling of artwork and RH furniture. After escalation, management acknowledged gaps in training and preparation and worked with me to reach a settlement. I'm updating my rating to reflect the effort made to address the issues, though the original experience was challenging. For higher-end or complex moves, it's advisable to coordinate directly with the back-office team (rather than booking solely online) to ensure appropriate materials, planning, and oversight. read more

I can tell you that I have trust issues. I may have this problem long before any kind of movers came into my life. But once you have it. It's permanent damage and to tell me to relax. That ain't going to work easily. But I can tell you that this company has exceeded my expectations. I contacted A2B to get one solid piece of Crate and Barrel Barnstone cabinet that I bought from a private seller to me from SF to San Mateo. It's a very good solid piece that needs a professional to do the job right. The seller has a special request to have the piece being moved from the second floor without damaging a wall or a fixtures. I respect ppl and their home so I obliged. I want the best ppl for the job. So I looked up Yelp to get a better idea of who is available out there. Mind you that I spoke to at least 8 companies before I settled with A2B. They were the third company that contacted me. Right away I connected to Rob and he was so good and professional of quoting me the price and what to expect. I asked repeatedly (poor guy) about the exact price since this is not my first rodeo with moving company. Hint the trust issues. He reassured me that the price is exactly that of what he given me. No hidden fee. He made it so simple and within less than 30 minutes. I was set. Then I got some more companies contacted me. Spoke to those 5 and one quoted me of $795 for one piece of furniture which makes absolutely no freakin sense. I mean they wanted to charged me for the minimum 4 hrs of 155 per hour. Truck fee of $95 and material fee,another $25 to $50. I was like nope! I mean WTH?!?! Turn that one down and went with A2B. Saturday came and I texted Rob but David who is at the moment dealing with today scheduled. He texted me to let me know that the two gentlemen that will be doing my move Will text me shortly. They texted at 3:38 pm to notify me that they are heading to the seller house by 4:30pm to 5pm. Rough estimation coming from Walnut Creek. They got to the seller by 5:15pm and took them 45 minutes bringing it down plus another 15 to 20 to load it. The seller loves these guys and I am happy. They texted me and I told them my husband is home. They will have to deal with the man with the cash. They got here at 7:30pm. They followed his instructions and got it all situated less than 30 minutes. They were very sweet and I wish we can give them more tip but unfortunately we are not loaded. Take ur money elsewhere. This company is a Rip off. The only good thing is the fact they can hoist a couch but I was quoted 4 hours just for 3 grown men to drag their feeet and drag it out 9 hours. I specifically asked how long it would take multiple breaks were taken how do you quote someone 4 hours and then charge 3x that amount for a 1 bedroom apt. Excellent communication before the move (emphasis on before), and the team seemed very organized. The price for full service packing was middle of the range compared to other companies we got quotes from. The packing/loading day went smoothly. Nikita arrived on time with 2 teammates. Everything seemed to go ok, but then our delivery team complained that they didn't pack things well so it was difficult for them to reassemble our furniture. Unloading did not go well. The management gave me the wrong drop off time (6 hours before the arrival), and then no one showed up to help the one driver unload. Three hours later, after we had started helping him, 2 more guys showed up. Calling A2B management was completely unhelpful - they told me I had to call them back in 2 hours to talk to a manager, otherwise no one would speak to me. The worst movers in my history of using some 10 movers, some even with language issues but none as rude and damaging as these. 4 guys showed up for the job, each one was doing something in one corner , they took more than 6 hours to load a 2bedroom house furniture, most importantly damaged our very expensive fire pit, uprooted our holy Hindu plant, broke things , flipped things around. Half of my furniture is damaged too. Can't believe we're paid them close to $1000 for a local job. They were even very disrespectful and messed up our bathroom with pee all over it. God bless people using this service! They wasted time in between and also tried overcharging us for 7 hours even though they worked 6 hours that too with several breaks and also yelled at us at the end. Traumatic! Also didn't seem like they were experienced at handling high quality and EXPENSIVE furniture. The movers were booked by my husband so clearly the owner can't find my booking, but it is absolutely 100% this company and it's shitty! read more

Maxim did a 10 mile, 1 bedroom move. It took him and his guy 5.5 hours. There's no 3 hr minimum with him & no hussle. From the moment he started I knew him and his guy were intentionally moving slow. then at the end of the 5.5 hours he forced a 20% tip saying "I just want what's fair". After my review and my husband disputing the charge with AMEX (which always takes the customer side), they reached out to us and offered to refund part of the cost that addressed the damaged furniture and the fact that they arrived a day later than expected. They also reached out to us multiple times to see if we received the refund in hopes that I would change my review. I'm not changing the star rating on my review, it's accurate and we shouldn't have to fight for them to do the right thing. They should have done it from the beginning, taken responsibility and accountability, and had better communication about the time schedule. Original review: Booking the movers was seamless and a great experience. The actual move was fine. The only issue was the movers moved 6 paintings into my new place that was supposed to stay at the old place so I had to bring them back myself. I was surprised they didn't offer to do it since it was their error. (4 min drive between my new place and old place) But the 2 stars is because they forgot my suitcase in their moving truck. I noticed after doing some unpacking that it was missing. They didn't notice they had it in their truck until they checked! Then it took 2 days for them to return it and only because I called and emailed several times checking in about the status. read more

A2B review I found A2B through Yelp and decided to book them amongst other businesses due to their amazing customer service from the start. After messaging them through Yelp, they were extremely responsive and offered helpful resources to help me with making decision that worked best for me. I ended up booking a team of 3. Derrick, Noorbek, and Sergio. They were all extremely professional, great with communication, punctual, and extremely fast! Derrick called me the morning of my move to provide an ETA and was on time. The team was able to complete my move from a 950 sq ft 2 bedroom 1 bath ground floor home to a 1200 sq ft 2 bedroom 2.5 bath home (with 3 flight of stairs!) in 4.5 hours including drive time of 7 miles in between. All of my furniture were padded and protected using the blankets and plastic wrap they had, and they offered wardrobe boxes for my hanging clothing items. I had labeled all of my boxes and they took extra time to check in and make sure I wanted certain boxes in the rooms I labeled them for. When it came to the larger furniture, they also checked on the arrangement I wanted before setting everything up. They are extremely knowledgeable on deconstruction of larger furniture as needed and can quickly put them back together with no assistance from me. I was very impressed with Derrick, Noorbek, and Sergo's work. They were all very nice, polite, and did a fantastic job. They completed the move in a shorter time than I expected, had no complaints with the heavy boxes I had, and had big smiles the entire time. They helped me move a bed frame that I bought for my mom and assemble it. I didn't know that the bed frame was on the second floor but they did the job anyway. The 3 man team of Nick, Amir and Islam really made it seem easy. Assembling the bed was also a breeze for them. I Am appreciate of their time and care to my parents new bed and to both my home and the home we bought it from. You can also call and get updates of when they will be able to start the service. Can I give A2B more than 5 stars??? We had scheduled our move for Tuesday, June 16. The company is based in SSF but they were able to move us in the east bay. I liked how they were upfront about the costs and what would be included ($144/hr for cash or $154/hr for credit for 3 movers and ~24 ft truck, and $40 fuel surcharge, moving boxes or supplies were extra, but they included moving blankets, 4 wardrobe boxes, and plastic wrap at no additional fee). Also, if you message through Yelp they provide a very detailed response. This was one of the main sellers when we decided to move with A2B as compared to other moving companies. The only minor tick occurred when calling by phone, I found that I had to leave a message before they would call back. Maybe this prevents spam callers, but would like to be picked up in on first call. Call backs happened within 5 mins. When we called to reserve the date, we were told the movers would arrive between 9-10am. On the day of the move, Dima called and let us know he would arrive around 9:45am. They showed up on time and carefully backed the truck into our small driveway. The other 2 movers, Yarick and Kynblsh, got out of the truck to make sure they would not damage the giant redwood or fence lining the driveway. Once inside our apartment they surveyed our belongings and confirmed that it would all fit in 1 trip. We were moving a 2 bedroom apartment. To be efficient and minimize the cost, we decided to pack and disassemble everything prior. They first brought down our boxes and then proceeded to plastic wrap our beds and furniture. They took care to cover everything to ensure it would not be damaged. We also had a treadmill that they moved carefully. It took about 2 hrs to load the truck up. Once at our new place, they were able to place boxes in the living room or kitchen based on our labels. Or they asked us if they weren't sure. We unpacked the wardrobe boxes ourselves and took the plastic wrap and cloth covers off to also be more efficient as the movers continued to bring our belongings into the house. We liked that Dima constantly checked in to see if things needed to be moved to a different location or if we wanted them to unpack anything. Overall, we had a great experience with A2B. It took about 3.25 hrs for the complete move. I can confidently recommend Dima, Yarick, and Kynblsh for your next move! read more

I've waited a bit to write this so I could comment objectively. Move was full pack from San Francisco to Santa Monica. Paid $400 extra for an extra person so it could be same day. Quoted 9-10a arrival, driving by noon, unpacked by 10p. Movers arrived at 10:05a. Not a big deal but took 30min to get started. Then moved slowly until I asked for timeline around noon. They said we had plenty of time bc they weren't driving down until the NEXT DAY - the coordinators hadn't told them about the same day move. They were also running out of packing materials. Didn't finish loading the truck until 4p (4hrs late) and driver got to Santa Monica after midnight. Wrong keys were left so 30min delay (not their fault) while locksmith unlocked the door. Unloaded until 3:30a with a different crew (who was very pleasant given the late night). They set up the bed and dresser but left most boxes in the living room. I paid the extra to have movers will full pack bc I was working/traveling and figured it would save me stress, but this felt haphazard. I'm still struggling to move boxes around and unpack 2 weeks later. read more
