Hired them for moving 2B2B. We had a lot of things. I had most things packed and labeled. They helped us uninstall big furnitures and TV. It took them 4 people 5 hours work and we end up with a full load of truck. They work quite productively, followed my labels, and put boxes at my desired locations in the new house which saves me a lot of effort when unpacking. They have been careful when moving furnitures. I asked them to help swap refrigerators as well but we found out one of the refrigerator didn't fit the room at the last minute which caused some problems. We should measure the size before swapping. Our arrival window was between 4:00-6:00 p.m., and they arrived around 4:50 p.m. They completed the entire move by about 8:30 p.m., which was impressive considering there were stairs involved at both locations. The movers were professional, polite, and worked quickly and efficiently. They took great care to protect both our belongings and the homes by wrapping all of our furniture and placing protective rugs on the stairs. I used this company for a move from Gilroy to San Jose. The crew arrived at 9am and finished around 3pm with just two movers, which felt much longer than expected for the size of the move. Unfortunately, they also broke my full-length glass mirror. It wasn't a cheap replacement -- even IKEA mirrors are expensive, and mine was from TJ Maxx and cost around $200. They only offered me $60 in compensation, which was disappointing. The movers themselves were kind and professional, but overall the experience didn't match the fairly priced and efficient service described in many of the reviews. Process was a breeze with over the phone quote, the brothers came did a short scan and plan then got straight to work and let me tell you they got down to business and did not waste no time. There was this one guy lifted our 3 seater couch with recliners so you know its heavy by himself like it was nothing to wrap it. The brothers work fast and efficient. They do not speak English so very difficult to communicate but ill take it because they understood how to handle and care for our things such as the TV is plugged in and tested before taken and when arrived to the new place turned on and tested before signing it off for liability. Explained what we were moving and they provided us with a transparent price breakdown. They also provided proof of insurance when requested by our building. On moving day, they arrived 15 min early. However, even though they were early they didn't start the billing time until our scheduled time, which I respect. Two movers for a two bedroom, two bath. They brought all the equipment they needed including dollies, carts, wrap, mats, hanger boxes. They worked efficiently and effectively, clearing out our place at a good rate before bringing it all over to our new place. Unloading was expeditious and they helped to place items where we requested. The movers were friendly and didn't complain about anything. Overall hiring this company was mostly efficient. Scheduling was easy through Yelp. However, I would've liked to have been given a heads up if the moving team didn't start first thing in the morning, that they would not be able to finish. The moving window was 11am-1pm. The team arrived around 12:30pm with a team of 4. After the 1st load, I was told at 7:30-8pm, that it would be too late for their team to finish the move. That was quite upsetting to find out on the day of. Pros: Very fast in packing large furniture items. Movers will pack and provide large boxes (with deposit) until returned. Fragile items were packed extremely well. Hourly rate had good value and upfront transparency on tip expectations. Cons: Most of the team doesn't understand English. If you communicate information to the one team member who does understand English, it doesn't necessarily get relayed to the rest of their crew. A 3 person team returned the next day and completed our move. read more

Johnny and two other movers were prompt, worked hard and efficiently, took great care to wrap our furniture and protecting walls/corners and the floor. Booking communication started on their website and then through e-mail. Pricing (including vehicle fee, expected tip, etc.) was given up front so there were no surprises. Cash only. People might frown on this but we are hiring Brother Movers because they are affordable and good. It is what it is. Johnny was able to communicate with us freely and while the two other movers did not speak English, we were able to communicate using a translation app when needed. They were very careful to have us double check our home, placement of furniture and the truck to ensure nothing was left behind or not as we had wanted. I felt bad because I decided later to have the sofa sets swapped between the living room and family room and they had no issues doing that for us. I have used movers before of varying ages and ability, some who chain smokers and took breaks often. Brother Movers worked for 4.5 hours without a break (other than driving 25 minutes to the new home) and were a pleasure to work with. My husband was referred to Brother Movers by one of his clients for our move from San Francisco to the Peninsula -- and it was hands down the best decision ever. This was my second big move in life, and I can confidently say they exceeded expectations. They showed up right on time with three movers and were QUICK. Like... lightning quick. We were moving out of a 3-bedroom + 1 office and we have a LOT of stuff. I was still packing up my office for maybe 20 minutes, and somehow they had already cleared out the dining room and living room. We're talking big furniture too like including an 8-person dining table!! Anything that wasn't boxed but we wanted to bring, they came prepared with extra boxes and all the materials. I still don't know how they folded our Purple king mattress and had one person single-handedly dolly it down the stairs They were extremely careful, which I really appreciated; considering we lived on the 2nd floor of a typical narrow SF duplex with tight pathways. They wrapped everything properly, maneuvered everything with care, and not a single item was scratched or damaged. They also drove at a safe speed to our new place to make sure everything stayed secure. We moved on a Monday, so the hourly rate was lower (I believe it was $140/hour for 3 movers). There's a mandated tip fee per hour and a flat truck fee, but honestly, with how efficient and careful they were, it was money very well spent. Especially to save my back. Hopefully we don't have to move again anytime soon, but if we do, we 100% know who we're calling. read more

This is the second time I've used Brother Movers and they've been great. They send three guys (one who speaks english) and they really take care in packing and wrapping the items up. The movers are trained to handle heavy objects and heavy loads, even bringing them up flights of stairs. You just need to be clear that there are stairs and lengthy walks. For a full two bedroom move, plus items in storage you'll need to figure about 7-8 hours. They work efficiently and they are very clear with pricing and tips. The movers are very efficient and helpful. They did break a few small things but the biggest thing they broke was our (wooden) coffee table.

I called around for estimates from various movers including this one. Brothers came out the lowest after providing them with information they asked for about the size of my house, no of rooms, ... the estimate was on 2/5/2026 for 3 movers, 3 hrs. Here we are at the move today. Almost 5 hours have passed since they started and they are not even through packing and loading the truck. Who knows how long it will take to finish, they tell me they don't know. I spoke with "Jack" at their office complaining about how off the estimate was. He proceeds to argue with me that I should have known it was going to take many hours because I have 3 bedrooms (not like I left out my bedrooms when asking for an estimate!). He then tells me "did we come out of an estimate?" When I said I asked if they would come out for an estimate, he gave me the same answer as when I called for the estimate - we don't come out to give estimates. He then proceeds to ask whether I have a "message" from them with the estimate. I told him I talked to a live person and I have notes from my conversation. He asked for a screenshot of my notes, after I texted my notes to him (along with estimates from other movers), he said well who knows ... We went round and round and I finally left the conversation because it was going no where. Their estimate meant nothing, and had I known, I would have gone with a more honest mover. Their workers are amazing and do great work, I don't want to take anything away from them, but the company misleads and in my case at least, lured me in with an estimate to hire me. We needed help moving from a 2x2 condo to a single family home and hiring movers was an absolute must. We created a Yelp project and gathered many estimates. For the most part, the pricing was the same across multiple companies, but Brother Movers had the best overall reviews so we moved forward with them. There were minor issues: -I did not receive a confirmation text prior to the service that I had to reach out and make sure they were still coming. -They showed up an hour early - Ended up being okay as we continued to pack last minute things while they loaded the truck. -We booked two movers, but three showed up. We had an option to just have two movers, but figured we would proceed with three movers since the third guy was already there. It did cost more per hour, but the price we paid in the end was within what we were expecting. Overall, we were happy with their service. The truck was huge and I couldn't believe they moved all our stuff in one trip. The movers were pros at disassembling furniture, if needed, and assembling at the new place. They also did a great job packing stuff we couldn't put in boxes. They were fast, professional and handled our stuff with care. Overall, my move with Brothers Movers went smoothly and the movers themselves were efficient, careful, and professional during the actual move. I didn't have any issues with the handling of my items, and everything arrived safely. The only confusion came during payment. Prior to the move, I was told that Venmo was an accepted form of payment, but when it came time to pay, there seemed to be some confusion about using Venmo. We eventually figured it out once I showed the app and QR code, so it wasn't a major issue. May have been a language barrier. My biggest concern was the tipping policy. When coordinating beforehand, tipping was presented as recommended/optional. However, on moving day, the tip was treated as mandatory and already calculated into my final bill. I found that pretty unprofessional and it honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. What's unfortunate is that I had actually planned on tipping the movers more than the preset amount because they did a good job and they were nice. But once it was presented as mandatory instead of optional, I simply paid the included amount. I think the company would benefit from being more transparent upfront and allowing customers to decide gratuity themselves. Aside from that issue, the move itself went well. read more
