I want to start by saying that the actual movers (Jerry, Alex, & 1 helper) were 5 star quality. They worked so hard to get our townhome packed up. This move was a feat & they did it with smiles. I never saw them taking breaks (except lunch) & they powered through tons of stairs & heavy furniture. My one star deduction is for whoever I spoke to to schedule our move. I had listed out all the large furniture & how many rooms we were moving & they suggested one truck & 3 movers. Hired these movers due to last minute needs, wish we really didn't. 3 movers for the rate of $179/hr. Most of the items were large and ready to go. This was our third time moving within the last 4 years, and we generally know how much time is allotted to finish the job. And we also normally have two movers, so thinking hiring 3 movers would make this job faster. The job was a 3-hour minimum. We initially talked in beginning of the job, and the crew leader stated, "Yea, we'll definitely get this done in 3 hours". Definitely not. Items: - Cal King Memory Foam Mattress - Queen Mattress - 6 Dining Table Chairs - 75" TV - 65" TV - 46" TV - Two Dressers, emptied - IKEA Computer Table - 2 night stands - TV stand - Refrigerator - 4 Plants We found them rearranging items in the truck multiple times for long periods of time(as if he was milking time.) Also, they couldn't figure out one of the bolts for the dining table, because it was slightly stripped. Well! I told them please stop, because I could tell he continued to try and we found later on that the bolts were further stripped. They also scratched my dining chair legs, for three of the chairs. We definitely had to get the fridge out for them to speed up the process. It was all very disappointing to see them struggle and spend more time than necessary to just run the clock. In total it took 5.3 hours for this job. The distance from both houses was less than 10 minutes. This crew was not it. And he also asked for tip, which was truly shocking. read more

I would never use them again. I had maybe 12 boxes, 1 gardening table, and 1 king bed with frame. Not only were they 1.5 hrs late, they didn't have the tools to even take apart the bed. I had to go to the store for them to get the tool. Then they moved so slow. Started at 3:30pm ended at 7:30pm. They also took a break and got gas on the way to my new house without telling us. We had to call them to find out where they were. They moved one small items one at a time. One man took an empty bin and walked it to the truck. Horribly inefficient. From the moment I booked my packing and moving until the moment the amazing crew packed all of our things in U-Pack it cubes it was a stress-free and amazing experience. They worked tirelessly to fully pack our two bedroom, protecting furniture and fragile items completely with padding and bubble wrap. I don't know how they got through it all so efficiently! Then they loaded the cute colorful truck the following day and packed everything like a jenga puzzle into U-Pack it cubes. Booking was extremely helpful and Sarah, my contact person, went above and beyond to help me with all my many questions. She was so patient and pleasant. I then called Trek back and asked if I could use them for packing and moving to U-Pack cubes and she said yes, customers do that. So I decided to go with Trek and I am so glad I did. They gave me a reasonable estimate and did the walk through via Zoom and I decided to go with a flat rate and use their packing materials because I have a busy stressful job and just did not have time to do much to prepare. Cheers for that! Trek's rate was the same as the few other places I got quotes from. I have nothing to add in that regard. They moved my stuff from my old 2nd floor (no elevator) studio apartment in Mountain View to my new 1/1 in Sunnyvale. The move included about 15 boxes (medium to very large) that I packed myself, a chair, a few IKEA desks, a queen-sized foam bed + powered platform, and some miscellaneous items like some plastic storage. The move was speedy, and they wrapped up the chair, desks, and bed platform nicely. They slowed down when it came to the powered bed platform, but I can't blame them--that thing is so incredibly heavy. They got everything done within 3 hours (the minimum amount of time that can be charged for). It's been over 24 hours, and, from what I can tell, nothing was damaged in transport. This is a relief, because I didn't do a great job of securing/protecting everything when boxing my stuff. The boxes were obviously handled with care. Jerry and Uri, the two folks that handled my move, were both pleasant and were easy enough to communicate with. They made sure I was happy with where everything ended up.
