I used A 2 B moving Company in April they were very efficient moving my things to my new place. I paid them and they were on their way To my surprise, I checked my account in June and they took another payment out of $1350.50 without my consent . This was almost 2 months later had I not checked my account they would have had the payment and I would have lost out on a large amount of money. I even referred this company to a few of my friends and they decided to go another way.... Good thing! I will NEVER REFER anyone to A2B moving company or use them again and if you're moving really research the company before you use. The reason I am making this review is because when I talked to the owner she wasn't sympathetic she said to me it was a very minor mistake. I don't call taking $1350.50 for the same amount that I paid in April and then in June the same amount a minor mistake. I can't bring myself to give them a rating. read more

Maxim, Ivan and Ivan worked so hard for my move! I was so grateful for how courteous, polite and friendly they were. They worked really well as a team and did an amazing job. Though my couch wasn't able to fit in my home I was in awe of how much effort they put into trying, lifting it over fences and giving it their best. And no worries guys I had that couch for 15 years and was planning an upgrade anyways. I had a restful night's sleep in my bed at the end of the night because they assembled it and moved everything where it needed to be. / Only one negative - the tape they are given to use by the company doesn't stick so well like the brands I can get at Home Depot. I'd recommend an upgrade on the tape for a quality of life improvement for everyone. Will bookmark this business and use the same for my next move. Might bring a box of my own tape though. To anyone who is moving I recommend buying lunch for your movers when they are done loading the truck. I bought everyone burgers from my favorite place and it re-energized everyone. Let me tell you about A2B Movers. Originally, I liked them over the phone. They came out to assess my home and appeared to be a little rough in their communication, but they were busy so I moved on. I know that one doesn't have to connect with everyone. I enjoyed the beginning process-- they were quick, appeared to be efficient, and swift. There were a total of about 8-10 guys give or take the day/moment. We had synergy and all was well. There was one guy complaining about how much we had, but that's not your job. Your job is to wrap it and move it, so that was a little off-putting. Our house is large and there are several people who live there so of course there are a lot of things. Why do you think we hired a moving company? We obviously needed the extra help. I'm thinking if you don't want this career field, then don't do it. Seems simple to me. Moving on, the foreman was cool, we had a good vibe going on and it was all good. They completed the job, got us moved in; however, several items broke and were punctured along the way. I didn't find that out until much later once I got deeper into the unpacking. The move took place in April and it's now September. If one were to ask me if I'd recommend them, I might say that they were proficient but not the kindest bunch of guys-- they were a little gruff. Towards the end of the three day adventure, they moved us in and it came time to pay. The payment was a very hefty payment as this was a big move. It was really expensive. At the end, I tipped all 10 men $50, which was an entire $500 increase and this one man looks at me after I gave him the $50, turns it over, snarls his nose and says, "THAT'S ALL?!!!!" Can you believe that? I don't have to give anyone ANYTHING! I told him that we already paid you and this is a little extra to say thanks. He told me, "you didn't pay me, you paid the company." I was SO irritated and wanted to snatch my $50 back. A couple of folks have asked me about the moving company that I used, and I don't tell them because I was so turned off by my experience in those last few minutes with them. In addition, after I finally unpacked and found my damaged items that they started to simply throw in random boxes because they got tired, I wish that I hadn't tipped at all. I could've kept my $500 instead of giving it to some ungrateful(s) who didn't appreciate it. That was wild. I still can't believe that man was so rude. I told the foreman about him and to check his men because no one owes a tip. Who does that?? I'm rating them a 3. Got the job done but there were some shortcomings and they have some room to grow. read more

Disappointingly Below Average I read the reviews on yelp and was willing to pay a slight premium for good service. I'm grateful that heavy furniture and expensive electronics were not damaged, but the packers did a very poor job with labeling (mostly not) so it's been a nightmare to unpack. Only 1 out of the 4 packers spoke english. Worst of all, ALL my clothes were stuffed into regular boxes, see pics attached, instead of the 8 wardrobe boxes they brought, crumpling ALL of them. And, they packed small potted plants with pillows and blankets in the same box, killing the plants and soiling the blankets. Horrible. The wardrobe boxes were used to stuff in random things which seemed to be a shortcut to save them effort at the expense of ruining my clothes - see pic of random stuff in one of the wardrobe boxes that SHOULD HAVE had clothes hung up while clothes still on hangars are stuffed into boxes. This was a very poor show for claimed 'experienced movers'. I would not have complained if their rates were more reasonable - thinking - you get what you pay for. I've moved cross country before with Atlas and have seen what a good packing/moving job looks like. The service here was unacceptable for the price I paid. read more

Booked three guys and they were pretty efficient. Friendly enough. The elevator next to our apartment broke down a day before so they had to travel quite a ways. We had them for a total of 8 hours! I would book them again. None of our stuff was damaged and they took extra care to pack TVs even dismounted once we couldn't get off. Also I feel like I should mention, since I looked for this when looking for movers. They DO NOT have any hidden fees. What they quote you for an hour is the actual price you pay. He was definitely committed to making our move as easy as possible, and that included keeping a light hearted attitude in the midst of the chaos of a long distance move. They did a great job and got the move done quickly. I received a response within one day, and they were able to schedule my move for the very next day, which was a huge plus. My only drawback is the price. As a college student, this was a HUGE dent in my budget. For a short and small move, I paid nearly $500. I think offering a student discount or reducing the rate for moves under two hours would be more fair. Overall, I'd describe them as high-quality and very efficient. I have only great things to say about this moving service. I was moving long distance from Los Gatos CA to the central coast. Everything went as planned, the truck arrived promptly at point A, men worked hard and carefully...and at point B put boxes and furniture exactly where I wanted, reassembled one very large bookshelf, and not one thing was broken. Update: after unpacking our stuff we found a ton of damage. The items were wrapped poorly with only some plastic. Our leather sofa has holes in it. My glass display case was upside down... our bed frame was bent during disassembly. It's also worth mentioning that the team arrived in a sedan with no moving carts. That added a lot of time. If we didn't provide moving for them it would have taken an extra hour of labour. read more

Even though we asked their movers to pack our last few items with the rest of our boxes before locking our U-Pack's bulkhead, the movers didn't. They locked the bulkhead into place and then strapped down our last few things to the side of truck even though there was space left on top of our boxes. They told us they've packed a U-Pack before like this with no problem. Turns out U-Pack had never seen this done before and charged us $1,068 for the extra truck space used. That's more than our service with A2B movers cost in the first place. We'd also purchased moving blankets for our larger furniture items. Despite asking the movers to use more blankets, they shrugged us off and wrapped a lot of our large items with saran wrap and just one or two blankets. Only 2/3 of the blankets we had got used. Absolutely would not recommend using them. read more

I have done several moves on my own. But decided to hire movers this time. OMG!!!!! from the first communication to moving day, everything was superb! I will NEVER move on my own again! The crew showed up on time, communication throughout the move was great, they were so careful with all of my belongings, as if they were moving their own items. They packed and wrapped everything and loaded it onto their truck making sure everything was secure. Got to the new apartment and the unloading went smooth and easy (for me anyway) these two guys worked so hard and did a great job! The price was very reasonable and they were extremely fair. I was worried paying by the hour, but these guys were so efficient and worked so well at getting me moved without wasting time or money. I have used these guys twice now -- The first time I moved within the same apartment complex and lost my 7' Christmas tree, carried in a 3-4' red tote bag. The movers did not show me an empty truck and I never recovered my $700, 7' Christmas tree after verifying with both my apartment property manager and the new tenant that my tree had not been left behind. The movers also refused to move my potted plants, creating a ton of work for me to go up and down stairs one pot at a time. My second time with them I used because of the price (forcing myself to believe they could not have lost my Christmas tree - but still pretty skeptical), I put a special request for them to carry my plants. This time I moved 2.5 hrs away and was quoted 3hrs, considering trucking factors. I was annoyed when the driver insisted it took them 3.5 hrs driving time as that was untrue, driving time is duplicated so I was forced to pay for a total of 1 extra hour because of this. I called the company during the trip and they ensured it was a 3 hour trip, so this seemed unfair to me. I also had specifically asked that the guy unloading boxes into my home to: A) put all boxes in one area, and B) face with number reference outward. He could not seem to follow the second request (number facing out) and when he was stacking the boxes, he continued to put smaller boxes on the bottom creating an instability, forcing me touch and reposition every single box. A few weeks later and I'm noticing a small dent/chipped wood in one of my prize pieces and that I never recovered my 2 personal moving blankets, meaning they took those with them. Also, the guy put my welcome mat in the doorway and then proceeded to run over it with the hand trick each time he went through the door. Just small unprofessional acts throughout my experiences. There was very little communication during the move, though, they continued to compare services to my first trip, I felt lied to about travel time (I made the same trip at the same time), and I've lost personal belongings on 2 of 2 moving trips with A to B Movers. read more
