We would recommend A2B Movers to anyone and everyone who needs to move. From the initial set-up of the quote to the actual moving day, everything was honestly seamless and we felt valued. This is a long review, but we want to make sure the world understands what an amazing experience this was for us. The last time that we moved less than 2 years ago, we unfortunately did not know about A2B and went with a different company which kind of fell short of our expectations--like A2B, they charge by the hour and while they quoted 6 hours, it ended up being more like 9! A lot of this time was because the movers did not have power tools to help take apart the larger furniture, and they did not warn us ahead of time. We decided to call around to find a company whose movers do have power tools, and A2B said it was not a problem, they would ensure the workers that came to us would definitely have them (the previous competitor was dismissive and said it all depends on who we get that day, maybe). While price is certainly a factor (and A2B's prices are definitely reasonable), we decided to go with A2B based on their initial customer service alone. They didn't require a deposit to lock in the date, gave us multiple reminders of our scheduled date and time, and were responsive to any questions we had. Their website is also really cool, since it lets you input all the information about the pieces of furniture you will need to have moved, and into what rooms. I'm not sure whether they really rely on this information, but it was a nice way for us to take stock about what exactly we wanted to deal with on our own vs what we wanted the movers to take. You can also input information about any unusual items, what type of parking is available and how far for each address. The quote is broken down into how many hours the job is expected to take, plus fuel surcharge, and then totaled up into dollars. The total amount also indicates whether you are paying by cash or card since you receive a discount for paying cash. Based on our previous experience, we expected the move to take somewhere around 7-8 hours and were quoted 6-7. To top everything off, we were absolutely blown away by the amazing level of service we received from our 2-man moving crew. They were super friendly and attentive, taking the time to walk through our 1st address to inspect everything they needed to move and asking questions. Then they wrapped all of our furniture in layers of plastic, blankets, more plastic, and tape. I know this is pretty standard, but I was amazed at how quickly they worked both separately and together to get everything packed up and moved down our 2 flights of stairs. They also notified me when some of our furniture was missing pieces before fully dismantling so we knew it wasn't that they were careless in packing up. Once they finished packing the large furniture, they even offered to take some of our smaller boxes that we were planning to take in our car. At the 2nd address, they did another walk-through to see where the furniture would go. I have no idea how they managed to keep all the pieces for the furniture organized but everything is exactly as we had it. Even for the furniture with missing pieces, they made suggestions for us to improvise so it wouldn't cause any undue damage. When unwrapping the furniture I also saw firsthand just how careful they were to make sure all delicate corners were well insulated. They also made sure to take away all packing materials, so we had absolutely no garbage to deal with. All in all, these 2 amazing movers took care of everything in just over 4 hours. FOUR HOURS! Keep in mind that this was even under the initial quoted time of 6-7 hours! These men took no breaks even when we offered, and were out of our house in time for us to take a late lunch, leaving us free to spend the rest of the day unpacking. Update: A few things I wanted to mention. I had a friend who used this company shorty after I did. They charged her the same and took the same amount of time to move her things (5 hour minimum) she has significant less stuff than I do. We both had stairs and we literally went to the exact same location. After talking to a few people who have used these same movers it seems 5 hours is their "minimum" which is why they can charge a much lower rate. The more I thought about it, the more I was kinda upset they pushed a 20% tip on me without even thinking about it I paid, but I when it comes to moving tips should not be forced. If I remember correctly they said "if you aren't disappointed we expect a 20% tip" which I didn't like, but I was ready to get on with the day. They also pushed the Yelp/google reviews. I received texts later that night to write reviews and then send them the links which I think is excessive. However, all in all if you don't mind spending the money and have the extra time they really did do a good job and I would recommend them not for the hourly cost but for their diligence and care to he actual move. I have moved around 10-15 times in the last 8 years and I have to say that this was probably the best move I've ever had, I had to move my entire house into a storage unit and was a little worried it would not fit in the size I got. When Dima D & Dima S (yes, they have the same name, not a typo) showed up, they used all the necessary precautions, I felt as though they treated my belongings as if it were their own. They wrapped all my furniture, gave suggestions, talked through things they had ideas on and made this move pain free for me. The storage unit was packed with skills and organization and again, always keeping my things safe. I would recommend this moving company to ANYONE, seriously, if you're like me and you do so much research because you've had bad experiences in the past.. I booked A2B Movers for a move recently to move my 1bd/1ba apartment to a place about 15 miles away. About 10 days before I wanted to move, I contacted three different movers and ended up choosing A2B due to their quote and availability (my dates were a bit flexible). When scheduling the move, the person I talked to on the phone, I think Dave(?), was very helpful and even sent me a reminder email about a week before to let me know what to prep. On the day of the move, the movers I had were Maxim (the foreman), Bek, and Muslim. They texted me when they were on their way to give me their ETA. They arrived on time and after a quick look at my apartment and some simple directions, they started moving things out quickly. They first focused on all the boxes and then took extra care/time to properly wrap all my bigger furniture properly (such as my bed frames, dining table, and computer desks). They even helped me disassemble my kitchen table because it would've been too big to fit in the truck. I tried to notify them that some of my chairs and tables are old/cheap so they don't need to wrap them as nicely but they kindly responded that all furniture will be protected properly because it's part of the contract to make sure everything is moved without damage. At the end location, they took a quick break and started moving quickly again. The new place had all new carpets so they took care in placing mats and carpet shields to make sure they didn't get the carpet dirty. During the move in, it was easy to give them direction on where to place things and it went by way quicker than the packing portion. Wow! Friendly, courteous, quick and professional people working at this place. From Nubia on the phone helping me book services, to Armando, Adam, and Martinez quickly loading and unloading my house. Theirs was a very pleasant acquaintance to make. I hoped for a specific Saturday move and Nubia told me they were booked when I called about 2 weeks in advance. I took a Friday instead and saved some money. Yay! They took a $50 deposit to hold the day. Easy. The day before Nubia called to let me know the two hour window in which he guys and the truck would get there. Between 10-12. And that they would called approximately 20 minutes before their arrival. Armando called at 10:05 and they showed up at 10:40! They took my advice for the entrance to our place, backed the truck up safely on our street, and quickly assessed the situation. Up over the balcony instead of down the stairs. By 1pm they had loaded our one bedroom apartment with an office, dining room, and storage unit. By 1:20 they were unloading at the new place. Asking me where I wanted certain items, taking the lead with bedroom stuff going in the bedroom and office stuff into the office. They used a carpet to protect my floors, padding for all the wooden furniture, couch, bed and mirrors. It's about 2pm now and they are almost done. Armando let me know if I wrote them a review on Yelp before they left I could save 5%!! I was already planning on it, so they just saved me money! And at 3 they were gone! Thanks A2B Movers! My wife and I were very excited to work with A2B Movers. Out of many options, I chose them after doing some research. They arrived only five minutes late, which wasn't a big deal, and at first everything went smoothly. However, about 15 minutes into loading our furniture, they broke one of our coffee tables. It was badly damaged. The explanation was that it was "fragile." While we understood that, the fact is our table was still broken, but we decided to let it slide and didn't make an issue of it. Aside from that, they were friendly and polite overall at first, although the younger mover seemed distracted and was on his phone at times. We ended up paying more than the amount we were originally quoted, but they worked hard, so we paid it and also added a tip. We didn't have much cash available, but we gave them $25 despite the damage to our table. What really shocked us was that one of the movers got visibly angry because we didn't tip $30 **per person.** At first, we thought he was joking, but he was completely serious. He insisted we were supposed to tip them that amount, and his attitude was very unprofessional. Feeling uncomfortable, we gave an additional $10, but he still left upset. We truly appreciate movers' hard work and normally tip generously, but being pressured and yelled at over tips is unacceptable. I wish I could leave a 5-star review, but this experience left such a bad impression that I cannot recommend them. Respect and professionalism toward customers should be a priority. read more

5 star rating well deserved. This is our second time hiring A2B movers. The first move was amazing , the second move was exceptional. Trust me when I say , this company stands behind their promise of an honest reliable affordable move. At least for us the last two moves. We had a lot of house to move . a two story home. Our move, 8-30-22, I hired 5 movers and two trucks . The price was really reasonable. The crew , Vitalii, David, Gela, Bek and Egor A plus workers. Each worker assigned a role. Each worker , worked VERY hard and efficient Believe this, we filled two trucks , 26' and 24' The entire move was 11 hours . With an hour commute . Let me tell you, they moved heavy items with no limits . Upstairs with no problem Vitalli and David: shout out to you to for being so efficient on those upstairs maneuvering. I could go on and on, about the excellence of this company and staff, I'll conclude with , these guys are serious movers and deserve to be applauded for such strenuous work. Tips are appreciated , yes I appreciated tipping them. FYI, after 3 weeks of being in our home. Our new neighbor moving into her home also used A2B . [EDITED] Now that my project is completely done, it is time to give everyone their dues. A2B Movers DOES deserve 5 stars and DOES care about its reputation. Given the initial glitch in communication, I was unhappy but after I spoke with one of the managers the rest of the project went on very smoothly. Nick (one of the managers) checked in with me regularly and made sure I stayed happy with how everything went. The movers arrived sharp, took all my stuff and moved it to Reno in 2 steps (pick up on day 1 and delivery on day 2 at the time convenient to me). One thing that I noticed though was some items weren't fully covered with the stretch wrap and when Nick followed up with me on the experience - I mentioned this fact to him. It didn't take A2B long to come up with a solution: they offered to send another crew absolutely free of charge (Bay Area to Reno!) to redo all the wrappings. Moreover, they offered me to pick the time convenient to me again which I did - and then had to change it at a very short notice. A2B was completely accommodating and the movers took care of everything well and professionally. So all in all, one word: professional. I know we are all human, we are not perfect and we all make mistakes. But when a company takes an extra effort to take care of its mistakes and is willing to walk that extra mile to deliver the best experience to its client - that's what constitutes a real 5 star experience to me. read more

Highly recommend A2B! I booked them a couple weeks in advance of my move shortly after requesting a quote from the Yelp page. First, Walter was great in getting back to me so quickly, with a run down of the rates, logistics, and what's included. After making an official booking on their page, I received periodic emails for reminders about the moving appointment. On the day of my move, it was raining a good chunk of the time. However, the movers got to work with no hesitation. They also arrived within the time window I was quoted. Max, Paul, and Vova made the move out of my place look so effortless. Max also laid out the paperwork and broke it down very easily for me to understand. The 3 took great care in moving/unwrapping my goods, securing them with extra tape/packaging, and quickly loaded/unloaded my clothes into wardrobe boxes they provided. They were also really crafty in moving stuff to my new place when it came to using the stairs and elevators. I also liked that they asked where I wanted my things to be placed, especially the larger items. And yes, they all followed COVID protocols, wearing masks and such. A2B charges moves at a minimum of 3 hours worth, but the 3 were able to do so in a little less than that! In early April, we started vetting moving companies on Yelp.  After communicating with seven companies, we decided to hire a2b Movers to handle our move from Santa Clara to Clayton. They were comparable in price to other companies and took the extra time to explain their fee schedule.  The communication throughout the process was incredible.  They even sent us a $50.00 Yelp coupon. On the day of the move, Adil and Mohammed called to provide an estimated time of arrival.  They arrived on time and immediately got to work.  They were extremely courteous and professional.  They tackled the project with strategic precision, never took a break and made sure they understood our expectations.  They carefully wrapped our furniture, television, mirrors and pictures.  They were extremely respectful of the property and also cleaned up after completing the first part of the job. We had a move from Santa Clara CA to Tracy CA on 6/7/2024 and A2B Movers helped make the entire process as easy and stress free as possible. My husband and I did the full packing package And move. From my first message asking for information they were extremely friendly and provided me with all the information I needed. They scheduled a video call meeting where I could show the items we had to provide me a better estimate. Our call was not rushed and I was able to show them every room and everything I needed packed. I booked them 1 month prior to our move date and was able to easily talk to Rob and Ann. The price they had quoted me never increased and they even followed up with me the day before the move to confirm everything.
